In this article, the problem of high scrap rate caused by surface defects of a batch of seamless steel pipes for high strength hydraulic cylinders produced on site is analyzed and studied. There are mainly three categories of surface defects, they are rolling skin, pits and pitted surface by analyzing their morphology. The defects are detected and analyzed with such analytical methods as metallographic examination and scanning electron microscope. The results showed that rolling skin and pits were caused by the existing surface cracks of billet before rolling as well as pitted surface was caused due to the roll compacting of surface scale onto pipe body in the process of hot rolling. In order to eliminate the above defects, the corresponding rectification measures are taken as well as the continuous casting and rolling processes are optimized. As a result, the surface quality of products is greatly improved and scrap rate is decreased from 30.6% to 1.7%.

文章针对现场生产的某批高强度液压油缸用无缝钢管表面缺陷引起的返废率高的问题进行了分析研究,通过分析缺陷形貌将其分为结疤、凹坑和麻面三大类。通过金相、扫描电镜等分析方法对各类缺陷进行了检测分析。结果表明,结疤、凹坑缺陷的形成是由轧制前原始坯料已经存在的表面裂纹引起的,麻面缺陷的形成是热轧过程中表面氧化铁皮被轧压至管体上产生的。为了消除上述缺陷,有针对性地采取了整改措施,优化了连铸和轧制工艺。整改后的产品表面质量大幅度提高,返废率从30.6%降低到了1.7%。

文章针对现场生产的某批高强度液压油缸用无缝钢管表面缺陷引起的返废率高的问题进行了分析研究,通过分析缺陷形貌将其分为结疤、凹坑和麻面三大类。通过金相、扫描电镜等分析方法对各类缺陷进行了检测分析。结果表明,结疤、凹坑缺陷的形成是由轧制前原始坯料已经存在的表面裂纹引起的,麻面缺陷的形成是热轧过程中表面氧化铁皮被轧压至管体上产生的。为了消除上述缺陷,有针对性地采取了整改措施,优化了连铸和轧制工艺。整改后的产品表面质量大幅度提高,返废率从30.6%降低到了1.7%。

In this article, the problem of high scrap rate caused by surface defects of a batch of seamless steel pipes for high strength hydraulic cylinders produced on site is analyzed and studied. There are mainly three categories of surface defects, they are rolling skin, pits and pitted surface by analyzing their morphology. The defects are detected and analyzed with such analytical methods as metallographic examination and scanning electron microscope. The results showed that rolling skin and pits were caused by the existing surface cracks of billet before rolling as well as pitted surface was caused due to the roll compacting of surface scale onto pipe body in the process of hot rolling. In order to eliminate the above defects, the corresponding rectification measures are taken as well as the continuous casting and rolling processes are optimized. As a result, the surface quality of products is greatly improved and scrap rate is decreased from 30.6% to 1.7%.

液压油缸作为工程机械的一个重要部件,其在缓冲、高负载、高频和稳定性上有极高的要求。高强度油缸用冷拔无缝钢管作为液压油缸最重要的原材料,直接决定了液压油缸的精度、强度、寿命等重要参数,可广泛应用于工程机械、冶金机械、塑料机械、石油化工机械、轻工机械、航空航天、船舶和海洋工程设备等行业[1-2]。因此,研发具有高强度、精密化又实现节能轻量化的液压油缸用冷拔无缝钢管十分必要。用户使用过程中要先进行冷拔,对产品的外表面要求比较高,现场生产的某批液压油缸用无缝钢管因为外表面缺陷问题,产生了大量的废品,返废率高达30.6%,严重影响该类产品的效益。本文针对表面缺陷进行了分析研究。
根据表面缺陷的宏观形貌,表面缺陷可以分为结疤、凹坑和麻面3大类,典型的形貌如图1图3所示。
取现场热轧态无缝管观察,图1结疤缺陷的特征比较显著,分布规律性较强,主要特征是沿轧向呈大螺旋形式分布,此类缺陷往往伴随着翘皮和凹坑,修磨过程中发现凹坑很深,修磨不可去除。图2的凹坑类缺陷则没有伴随翘皮,宏观形貌较为尖锐,凹坑是由于翘皮脱落后产生的。在凹坑内部存在裂纹,有的凹坑内部及附近存在较多细小分叉的微裂纹,沿轧向呈大螺旋形式分布,可见与结疤类缺陷特征分布及产生原因是一样。图3中的缺陷在钢管上的位置呈线性分布,抛光可去除。
在钢管结疤缺陷处取金相样4块,分别编号1#、2#、3#、4#,见图4。在缺陷处取纵截面制样后,进行夹杂物评级;使用4%硝酸酒精溶液对样品进行侵蚀,然后使用蔡司金相显微镜观察金相组织和缺陷内部;通过扫描电镜对试样裂纹周围进行能谱分析。
对试样纵向剖面进行夹杂物评定,夹杂物评级如表1所示。
1#试样的横向面打磨至缺陷处,抛光后在显微镜下观察,见图5。缺陷处有两条起源于试样表面且与表面呈一定角度的主裂纹,主裂纹上有多条支裂纹,裂纹周围及前沿有氧化圆点,裂纹周围无异常非金属夹杂物,裂纹内充满氧化铁,裂纹周围有脱碳,基体组织为铁素体+珠光体+贝氏体+马氏体。
2#试样的纵向面打磨至缺陷处,抛光后在显微镜下观察,见图6。缺陷处有一条起源于试样表面且与表面呈一定角度的裂纹,裂纹的尾部平行于试样表面,周围及前沿有氧化圆点,周围无异常非金属夹杂物,裂纹内充满氧化铁,裂纹周围有脱碳,基体组织为铁素体+珠光体+贝氏体+马氏体。
通过扫锚电镜对1#试样裂纹周围进行能谱分析,见图7,结果显示氧化圆点主要组成元素为O、Si、Mn、Fe等,没有Na、K、Cl等保护渣成分,排除裂纹的形成是炼钢时加入的保护渣残留导致。
从检测结果分析,裂纹周围无异常非金属夹杂物,裂纹内充满氧化铁,裂纹周围及前沿有氧化圆点等高温氧化特征,结合缺陷分析,可判定为钢坯原始伤,经过环形炉高温加热和氧化,加剧了缺陷的扩展和演变。推断钢坯缺陷呈纵向直线状,在后续的生产过程中,由于穿孔轧制存在扭转变形,原钢坯直线状缺陷变成大螺旋扭转分布,故生产出的光管表面缺陷呈大螺旋状分布。由此可判断结疤缺陷是钢坯表面存在微裂纹所致[3-5]
图3类麻面缺陷产生的原因较为清楚,为热轧过程中,表面氧化铁皮被轧压至管体上产生。结合生产实际分析产生的原因:①环形炉加热时氧化气氛导致管坯外表面氧化铁皮较厚;②定径前高压水除鳞设备没有达到设定要求,实际生产中钢管外表面氧化铁皮去除效果不好,定径时将氧化铁皮轧压至管体外表面,出现麻坑。
为了有效消除圆坯表面裂纹,对连铸工艺进行优化改进并制定相关措施。
(1)生产前对连铸机设备进行检查,保证铸机对弧、对中良好;降低拉矫机压力,保证铸坯正常矫直;更换二冷区堵塞喷嘴,二冷水分配比合适。
(2)适当提高拉速,提高铸坯矫直温度,保证结晶器保护渣熔化良好,下渣均匀。
(3)选用合适的结晶器铜管,确保铜管锥度正常,控制结晶器水量,使铸坯均匀冷却。
(4)铸坯出二冷区后,采用石棉板加盖保温,提高铸坯矫直温度。
(5)避开开浇第一炉,防止铸机冷辊道对铸坯造成激冷,形成裂纹。
(6)铸坯应及时送入缓冷坑中进行缓冷,缓冷时间大于48 h,管坯温度降至100 ℃以下方可出坑。
针对麻面缺陷在轧制过程中制定整改措施。
(1)降低环形炉空燃比,以形成炉内弱还原气氛,减少管坯表面氧化铁皮。
(2)更新定径前高压水除鳞设备,提高设备压力。
(3)对己生产出的热轧态钢管,在后续热处理正火过程中,降低正火炉的空燃比,正火后对直线度比较好的钢管不再进行矫直,防止再次将表面氧化铁皮轧压至管体。
后续生产中严格执行了整改措施,经过整改后生产出来的产品表面质量大大提高,返废率降至1.7%,供货的钢管整体质量较好,达到了用户的冷拔要求。
(1)经过分析,结疤缺陷为钢坯表面存在裂纹,热轧后,造成钢管表面出现结疤;麻面缺陷为热轧过程中氧化铁皮轧压至管体上产生。
(2)对连铸工艺、轧制工艺进行优化改进并制定相关措施,严格执行整改措施,有效消除圆坯表面微裂纹,改善了钢管外表面质量。
