As the calibration item of Rockwell hardness tester, hardness of ball indenter for Rockwell hardness tester needs to be calibrated by Vickers hardness tester. Due to ball indenter is smaller, it cannot be fixed on smooth test bed so that calibration cannot be carried out. Moreover, it is needed to refer to correction coefficient table after calibration, the corresponding results can only be obtained through interpolation method so that work efficiency is reduced. In terms of hardware, the mold for fixing ball indenter of Rockwell hardness tester is made by precise machining and selecting suitable materials to ensure the stability of ball indenter. In terms of software, the linear regression is performed based on the data in correction coefficient table to obtain fitted equation of correction values. Moreover, the correction table for hardness of convex sphere is edited with the formulas in the WPS table so that operation process of data processing is simplified. As a result, the calibration of hardness for ball indenter could be carried out so that the work efficiency and test accuracy could be improved.

洛氏硬度计的球压头硬度作为洛氏硬度计的检定项目,需用维氏硬度计进行检定。由于球压头较小,在光滑的试验台上不能固定,无法开展检定,而且检定后需要查阅修正系数表,通过内插法才能求出相应的结果,降低了工作效率。在硬件方面通过精密的机床加工,选择合适的材料制作出固定洛氏硬度计球压头的模具,保证固定球压头的稳定性。在软件方面根据修正系数表的数据做线性回归,得到修正值的拟合方程,再利用WPS表格中的公式编辑出凸球面硬度修正表格,简化了数据处理的操作流程。从而可以开展球压头硬度检定,提高了工作效率和试验精度。

洛氏硬度计的球压头硬度作为洛氏硬度计的检定项目,需用维氏硬度计进行检定。由于球压头较小,在光滑的试验台上不能固定,无法开展检定,而且检定后需要查阅修正系数表,通过内插法才能求出相应的结果,降低了工作效率。在硬件方面通过精密的机床加工,选择合适的材料制作出固定洛氏硬度计球压头的模具,保证固定球压头的稳定性。在软件方面根据修正系数表的数据做线性回归,得到修正值的拟合方程,再利用WPS表格中的公式编辑出凸球面硬度修正表格,简化了数据处理的操作流程。从而可以开展球压头硬度检定,提高了工作效率和试验精度。

As the calibration item of Rockwell hardness tester, hardness of ball indenter for Rockwell hardness tester needs to be calibrated by Vickers hardness tester. Due to ball indenter is smaller, it cannot be fixed on smooth test bed so that calibration cannot be carried out. Moreover, it is needed to refer to correction coefficient table after calibration, the corresponding results can only be obtained through interpolation method so that work efficiency is reduced. In terms of hardware, the mold for fixing ball indenter of Rockwell hardness tester is made by precise machining and selecting suitable materials to ensure the stability of ball indenter. In terms of software, the linear regression is performed based on the data in correction coefficient table to obtain fitted equation of correction values. Moreover, the correction table for hardness of convex sphere is edited with the formulas in the WPS table so that operation process of data processing is simplified. As a result, the calibration of hardness for ball indenter could be carried out so that the work efficiency and test accuracy could be improved.

根据JJG 112—2013《金属洛氏硬度计检定规程》6.2中规定,洛氏硬度计的球压头硬度作为洛氏硬度计的检定项目,并在6.1.3中规定,检定洛氏硬度计的球压头硬度需用维氏硬度计进行检定。由于硬质合金球压头体积较小,且维氏硬度计试验台平面光滑,使洛氏硬度计的硬质合金球压头不能固定。虽然实验室配有维氏硬度计,但是无法开展该检定项目。
经调研,目前厂家只是用能放置球压头的带有凹槽的支撑模具开展该检定项目,且该模具不能固定在维氏硬度计上。而同行业在检定洛氏硬度计硬质合金球压头硬度时所用的模具不能固定球压头,检定球压头硬度时试验力不能完全作用在球压头上,导致数据不准确,同时球压头受力不均可能发生崩溅,增加了安全风险。另外维氏硬度计不具备曲面硬度测量的自动修正功能,所以球压头作为凸球面在测量硬度时需要查阅修正系数表,通过内插法求出相应结果,降低了工作效率和试验精度。
本文根据维氏硬度计试验台的尺寸,选择合适的材料,用机床加工出固定洛氏硬度计球压头的模具。软件上根据凸球面维氏硬度修正系数表进行线性回归,得到修正值的拟合方程,再利用WPS表格中的公式编辑出凸球面硬度修正表格。从而可以开展球压头硬度检定,提高了工作效率和试验精度。
维氏硬度计的工作原理为采用对面夹角为136°的金刚石正四棱锥体压头,在一定的试验力作用下压入试样表面,保持规定的时间后,卸载试验力F,测量试样表面压痕对角线长度d[1],如图1所示。试验力除以压痕表面积的商就是维氏硬度值,计算公式如式(1)所示。

式中:HV为维氏硬度值;F为施加的试验力;d为压痕对角线长度。
为了对洛氏硬度计球压头进行精确且稳定的硬度测试,设计了一款专用模具,如图2所示。这款模具不仅考虑了球压头的固定方式,还结合了维氏硬度计的构造特点,确保了测试的准确性和可靠性。
模具的核心部分是一个带有精确凹槽的小支架。凹槽经过设计,其尺寸与洛氏硬度计球压头匹配,可以确保球压头在放置时能够紧密贴合,不易晃动。为了进一步加强固定的稳定性,设计了一个专门的压帽。压帽能够紧密地覆盖在球压头上,通过施加适当的压力,将球压头牢牢地固定在凹槽内,有效防止在施加试验力时球压头发生崩溅。再根据维氏硬度计的构造及尺寸,选择合适的合金钢材料,设计了一个支撑平面。该合金钢材料的强度和硬度能够抵御测试过程中可能产生的各种压力和磨损。支撑平面的设计参照维氏硬度计的底座尺寸和安装方式,确保模具能够稳固地安装在硬度计上,为测试提供稳定的支撑。
在制作过程中,使用分辨力为0.01 mm的数显游标卡尺进行测量和定位。通过测量,确定了支撑面和小支架的尺寸及安装位置,并选择了合适的中心点作为固定点。利用机床进行加工,将带有压帽的小支架固定在支撑面上。完成模具制作后,将洛氏硬度计球压头固定在模具上。此时,可以利用维氏硬度计的正四棱锥体金刚石压头对球压头施加试验力。根据规程规定,施加98.01 N的试验力,使金刚石压头压入球压头表面,在保持规定的时间后,缓慢地卸载试验力,避免对球压头产生冲击。
最后,使用200倍压痕测量装置精确地测量球压头表面压痕的对角线长度。这个长度是计算球压头硬度值的关键参数。通过测量和计算,可以得到球压头的硬度值,从而对其硬度进行准确评估。
通过精密的机床加工制作出固定洛氏硬度计球压头的模具,不仅保证了球压头的稳定性,还提高了试验的可靠性和重现性。选择合适的材料制作模具,可以有效提高模具的耐磨性和使用寿命,确保试验设备长时间稳定运行。此外,模具的设计和制作过程中也考虑了对环境和操作的适应性,以便更好地满足试验要求。在安全方面,设计好压帽固定位置并确保球压头处于中心位置,是为了最大程度地降低试验过程中可能发生的安全风险。保证试验人员和设备的安全是项目进行的前提和基础,通过合理的设计和操作流程,有效地保障了试验的安全性和稳定性。
在金属维氏硬度试验中,由于许多维氏硬度计不具备对凸球面的自动修正功能,检定人员经常需要依据国标GB/T 4340.1—2009中的凸球面维氏硬度修正系数表手动进行硬度值的修正。这一过程通常用内插法来计算不同条件下的修正系数,操作繁琐且容易出错。为了简化这一操作流程,通过函数拟合提高数据处理的效率和准确性。
首先将凸球面维氏硬度修正系数表中的数据点标记在直角坐标系中,以压痕对角线长度与凸球面直径的比值(d/D)作为横坐标,修正系数作为纵坐标。
通过这种方式,可以直观地观察到数据点的分布规律和变化趋势,如图3所示。为了保证数据点之间的连续性,并确保能够更准确地描述这些数据的变化规律,采用多项式拟合方法进行多元线性回归。
这种方法有助于从原始数据点中推导出一个修正函数,这个函数能够描述维氏硬度的修正系数如何随着d/D的变化。
通过多项式拟合,不仅可以得到一个修正函数,而且可以减少人工计算中的错误和不确定性。本文将这个模型应用于WPS表格软件中,利用公式编辑器直接计算任意给定d/D值的修正系数,使得试验数据处理实现自动化,减少人为干预带来的误差。这种方法的一个重要优点是它允许快速调整和更新硬度修正函数。随着更多试验数据的积累,检定人员可以简单地重新进行多项式拟合,优化硬度修正函数。
表1为GB/T 4340.1—2009凸球面维氏硬度修正系数表中数据节选。
运用多项式拟合[2]表1中的数据进行多元线性回归,拟合得出的一元三次方程如式(2)所示。

式中:ξ为修正系数;xd/D,压痕对角线长度与球直径的比值。
从方差分析表(ANOVA)[3]中发现在置信度为95%时,表2数据与拟合方程之间的F值为365 308.54。通过查询F-分布统计数值表[4],得到F(3,26)的临界数值为2.98,小于表2中的F值,所以得出修正系数ξx之间的拟合方程式显著有效的结论。
根据式(1)、式(2),利用WPS表格中的公式编辑出修正表格,在表格中输入压痕对角线长度d、球压头直径D、施加的试验力F后,便输出凸球面硬度值和修正后的硬度值,具体结果如表3所示,提高了工作效率和试验精度。
总之,采用多项式拟合方法来处理维氏硬度的修正系数,不仅可以提高硬度测量的精确度和效率,还可以通过持续的数据分析,为凸球面硬度检定提供一个数据处理的工具,使得试验数据处理更加自动化,减小人为干预带来的误差,确保试验数据的可靠性。这样的软件设计不仅节约了时间和人力成本,还提高了试验的整体质量和可靠性。
(1)通过精密的机床加工,选择合适的材料,制作出固定洛氏硬度计球压头的模具,可以开展洛氏硬度计球压头硬度的检定,并保证了检定过程的安全性。
(2)通过利用WPS表格中的公式编辑出修正表格,结合线性回归得到的修正值拟合方程,简化了数据处理的操作流程,提高了试验的效率和准确性。
