The characteristics and change rules of wear behavior for rail with different load conditions are analyzed through experimental study on wear of on line heat treated U20MnH rail combining with the morphology features of wear surface and profile for samples observed by microscope and scanning electron microscope. The results showed that the wear loss of on line heat treated U20MnH rail was significantly reduced with increase of load under load conditions of 1 200 N, 1 500 N and 1 800 N respectively.

通过对在线热处理U20MnH钢轨进行磨损试验研究,并结合显微镜和扫描电镜观测到的试样磨损表面和剖面的形貌特征,分析了不同载荷条件下钢轨的磨损行为特征和变化规律。结果表明:分别在1 200 N、1 500 N、1 800 N载荷的条件下,在线热处理U20MnH钢轨磨损量随载荷的增大而显著减小。

The characteristics and change rules of wear behavior for rail with different load conditions are analyzed through experimental study on wear of on line heat treated U20MnH rail combining with the morphology features of wear surface and profile for samples observed by microscope and scanning electron microscope. 目前,国内外广泛应用的钢轨大多数是珠光体钢轨,随着我国高速重载铁路的发展,轴重增加,行车密度和速度提高,现有珠光体钢轨面临的磨耗、滚动接触疲劳、钢轨核伤与断裂等伤损问题越来越严重,影响了行车安全。近年来贝氏体钢轨因其强韧性高、抗滚动接触疲劳性能优良[1],以及优越的耐磨损性能倍受青睐,世界很多国家致力于贝氏体钢轨的研究探索,力求实现钢轨材料的升级换代。本文对U20MnH钢轨的耐磨性能进行了深入研究,揭示了U20MnH钢轨磨损行为特征和变化规律,对提高在线热处理U20MnH钢轨的耐磨性能和使用寿命有十分重要的意义。
本试验采用在线热处理工艺生产的75 kg/m U20MnHCrNiMo(简称U20MnH)钢轨,其化学成分如表1所示,常规力学性能如表2所示。
U20MnH钢轨显微组织以板条状、针叶状贝氏体和板条马氏体为主,其间分布着薄膜状残余奥氏体,如图1所示。
车轮和钢轨试件分别取自车轮踏面和钢轨轨头[2],磨损主样取自75 kg/m U20MnH钢轨,取样位置如图2所示。磨损主样厚度为5 mm,半径为20 mm,配样取自CL60车轮,磨损配样厚度为10 mm,半径为20 mm,主样与配样成品如图3所示。
磨损量是钢轨磨损性能的直观反映,磨损试验在MMS-2A磨损试验机上进行,采用滚滑复合摩擦磨损方式,滑差率为10%,试验原理见图4。载荷分别为1 200 N、1 500 N、1 800 N,分别折合轴重约为20 t、25 t、30 t,配样转速200 r/min,主样转速180 r/min。每组试样经磨合后进行磨损试验,每两万转,清洗一次,采用精度为100 μg的电子分析天平测量试验前后钢轨磨损主样的质量并计算其磨损量,至10万转终止,取三对试样试验结果的平均值作为一个试验数据,磨损试验数据见表3
钢轨主样在不同载荷条件下磨损的宏观形貌光滑,如同线路上的钢轨踏面上的光亮带,配样磨损严重,磨损的宏观形貌粗糙,侧视有明显塑性变形,如同线路钢轨服役后的肥边。在不同载荷条件下,主样和配样宏观磨损形貌如图5所示。
图6所示,磨损试样在滚滑复合摩擦时,表面和次表面在交变接触应力的作用下反复塑性变形,随着应变不断累积,内部晶粒发生滑移,滑移面和其附近的晶格扭曲,使晶粒拉长、破碎,产生细晶化和塑性流变,诱发试样摩擦面表层组织结构的改变。如图7所示,将磨损试样沿垂直滚动方向剖开,在扫描电镜下观察剖面与磨痕表面形貌,可以发现磨损表面层晶粒细化[3],形成微米级的细晶,次表面晶粒发生塑性流变,形成与滚滑动方向和载荷相应的类织构的结构,随着塑性流变程度逐渐减弱,最后过渡到基体组织。
塑性流变大部分取向基本平行于表面,局部也出现弯曲的变形流变线,如图8所示。从图8中可以观察到表层的细晶和次表层的塑性流变,次表层流变取向几乎完全平行于表面,随着深度的增加,局部出现弯曲的流变线,这与磨损过程中试样受到的复杂外载荷状态相关。
同时,不均匀变形在内部产生了残余应力,引起加工硬化,细晶层和流变层构成加工硬化层,U20MnH钢轨试样经10万周次磨损后,磨损断面组织变化的形貌如图9所示,可见加工硬化的变化。载荷为1 200 N时,磨损主样断面加工硬化层深度平均为41 μm,载荷为1 500 N时,磨损主样断面加工硬化层深度平均为112 μm,载荷为1 800 N时,磨损主样断面加工硬化层深度平均为198 μm。加工硬化层强度和硬度的增加,提高了钢轨耐磨性,但由于其应力集中,应变协调性不一致,易形成微裂纹并扩展,形成磨屑,加速磨损,这两种机制互为竞争关系。
由于磨损试样表层、次表层累积承受复杂应力作用不断发生塑性变形,当塑性应变累积到金属塑性变形极限后,裂纹萌生,并不断扩展,同时,试样表层的细晶层和次表层的流变层相对于基体组织硬度高,内应力大,应变协调性不一致,更易萌生裂纹,并在外接触应力累积作用下不断扩展,最终折向表面,产生麻点或浅层剥落等磨屑。图10(a)可以观察到流变层之间的微裂纹,图10(b)可以观察到裂纹扩展路径,图10(c)可以观察到裂纹扩展到表面,形成麻点剥离,造成磨损失重。
通过对U20MnH钢轨磨损试验数据分析,发现与珠光体钢轨不同的规律,随着载荷(轴重)的增加,U20MnH钢轨磨损量反而减小,原因有二:
(1)试样磨损表面的硬度随着载荷的增加而增加。表4为不同载荷下主样与配样摩擦面显微维氏硬度变化数据,由表4可以看出,随着载荷的增加,不论是配样,还是主样,磨损表面的硬度都逐渐增加。硬度的增加,主样与配样之间的摩擦系数减小,磨损减小。
图11为U20MnH钢轨磨损量与硬度关系,随着摩擦面硬度提高,磨损量明显减小。赵雪芹等指出[4],对于同种材料的钢轨钢,硬度越高,耐磨性越强,这与本试验结果一致。
(2)麻点剥落(点蚀)失重小于浅层剥落失重。如图12图13图14所示,U20MnH钢轨的磨损主要有麻点剥落(点蚀)和浅层剥落两种,这是在反复的滚滑作用下,接触表面出现疲劳所致[5],麻点剥落(点蚀)的宏观特征为小痘状、贝壳状或其他不规则状凹坑,浅层剥落宏观特征为一定厚度的片状剥落层。
图12所示,载荷为1 200 N的磨损试样,其磨损机制主要为浅层剥落。如图13所示,载荷为1 500 N的试样,其磨损机制主要为浅层剥落和麻点剥落(点蚀)。如图14所示,载荷为1 800 N的试样,其磨损机制主要为麻点剥落(点蚀)。通过对U20MnH钢轨磨损数据分析,以及SEM观察结果,U20MnH钢轨麻点剥落(点蚀)失重小于片状剥落失重。
(1)通过对贝氏体钢轨磨损试验数据分析,U20MnH钢轨磨损性能与珠光体钢轨不同,随着载荷从1 200 N、1 500 N到1 800 N递增,磨损量减小。
(2)U20MnH钢轨组织为贝/马复相组织,耐磨性能优越,特别是应用到重载铁路,更能表现出其耐磨性能的优越性。
