The transformation structure and critical points of phase transformation for rare earth alloyed high carbon wear resistant steel as well as continuous cooling transformation (CCT) curve of undercooled austenite at different cooling rates are studied by metalloscope, field emission scanning electron microscopy and quenching dilatometer. The results showed that the critical points of phase transformation were Ac1=742.6 ℃, Ac3=816.5 ℃ and Ms=307.0 ℃. When cooling rate is less than 0.4 ℃/s, the microstructure is a small amount of ferrite+pearlite; when cooling rate is 0.4 ℃/s, the microstructure is single-phase pseudo eutectoid pearlite; when cooling rate is greater than 0.5 ℃/s, the microstructure is gradually transformed to martensite; when cooling rate is greater than 4 ℃/s, there is only the microstructure of martensite+retained austenite in the steel.

采用金相显微镜、场发射扫描电镜和淬火膨胀仪研究稀土合金化高碳耐磨钢不同冷却速度条件下的转变组织、相变临界点和不同冷却速度下过冷奥氏体的连续冷却转变曲线(CCT曲线)。结果表明:相变临界点为Ac1为742.6 ℃,Ac3为816.5 ℃,Ms为307.0 ℃。当冷却速度小于0.4 ℃/s时,显微组织为少量铁素体+珠光体;当冷却速度为0.4 ℃/s时,显微组织为单相伪共析珠光体;当冷却速度大于0.5 ℃/s时,显微组织逐渐向马氏体转变;冷却速度高于4 ℃/s时,钢中仅有马氏体+残余奥氏体组织。

The transformation structure and critical points of phase transformation for rare earth alloyed high carbon wear resistant steel as well as continuous cooling transformation (CCT) curve of undercooled austenite at different cooling rates are studied by metalloscope, field emission scanning electron microscopy and quenching dilatometer. The results showed that the critical points of phase transformation were Ac1=742.6 ℃, Ac3=816.5 ℃ and Ms=307.0 ℃. When cooling rate is less than 0.4 ℃/s, the microstructure is a small amount of ferrite+pearlite; when cooling rate is 0.4 ℃/s, the microstructure is single-phase pseudo eutectoid pearlite; when cooling rate is greater than 0.5 ℃/s, the microstructure is gradually transformed to martensite; when cooling rate is greater than 4 ℃/s, there is only the microstructure of martensite+retained austenite in the steel.

衬板是球磨机正常运行中必不可少的重要耐磨配件[1],目前我国每年大约有上百亿吨的矿石、水泥料和煤炭需要用球磨机进行粉碎。为了完成这些任务,球磨机不断地大型化以满足生产需求。据了解目前世界各国所使用的直径大于5 m的球磨机和自磨机数量正在不断增加,年消耗衬板上百万吨。目前这些衬板绝大部分采用中、高锰钢[2]、高铬白口铸铁或镍硬铸铁[3-4]等制作。长时间的生产实践证明这些材料生产的衬板存在磨耗量大、成本高两大缺点,不能满足企业节能、降耗、增效的目标。稀土合金化高碳耐磨钢是为了解决这一问题而设计的一种新型耐磨材料,该材料的设计思路是充分利用稀土在钢中的净化、变质及合金化作用[5-6],并配以热处理工艺,使稀土合金化高碳耐磨钢得到细或极细的珠光体室温组织,实现衬板强韧性的合理匹配,满足大型球磨机、自磨机和半自磨机设备对衬板的要求,进而提高使用寿命,降低生产成本。钢的连续冷却转变曲线全面反映了冷却速度对钢的相变点、相变速度和组织的影响情况,是分析转变产物组织与性能的依据,也是制订热处理工艺的参考资料,也可以预测淬火后钢件的组织和性能。
本文利用型号为L78淬火膨胀仪测量装置,测定稀土合金化高碳耐磨钢的连续冷却转变曲线(CCT曲线),分析连续冷却转变曲线中组织转变区及组织组成,确定该钢种的临界冷却速度及冷却速度与组织转变的相关关系,为生产过程中制定稀土合金化高碳耐磨钢的热处理工艺提供理论依据。
试验钢使用中频感应炉熔炼,熔炼过程首先加入废钢、增碳剂,待全部炉料熔化后取样化验,取样温度要求大于1 500 ℃。当化学成分满足工艺要求后再依次加入不同品位的钼铁、高碳铬铁、锰铁、硅铁和铜板进行合金化。等合金全部熔化后取样化验,钢水化学成分符合要求后提温,出钢温度为1 620 ℃,脱氧铝、洁净剂(包含稀土变质剂)采用钢包内冲入法加入,钢水在包时加入造渣剂和覆盖保温剂,钢水镇静7 min后采用水玻璃砂型铸造标准的基尔试样,试样浇注温度大于1 530 ℃。试验钢的化学成分见表1
从试验钢基尔试样上锯切出尺寸为15 mm×15 mm×200 mm的试样毛坯,在箱式电阻炉加热到940 ℃保温50 min,炉冷后加工成Φ3 mm×10 mm的标准膨胀试样,将加工好的标准试样放入型号为L78淬火膨胀仪中,按照YB/T 5127—1993《钢的临界点测定方法(膨胀法)》对试验钢临界点进行测定。以10 ℃/s的加热速度将试样加热到900 ℃保温10 min奥氏体化后,利用程序控制冷却的方式分别以0.05 ℃/s、0.1 ℃/s、0.2 ℃/s、0.3 ℃/s、0.4 ℃/s、0.5 ℃/s、1 ℃/s、2 ℃/s、3 ℃/s、4 ℃/s、5 ℃/s、10 ℃/s、50 ℃/s、150 ℃/s、180 ℃/s的冷速冷却至室温,测量不同冷却速度下试验钢的各相转变开始、结束温度,绘制试验钢的连续冷却转变曲线,分析不同冷速下的组织转变。
采用型号为L78淬火膨胀仪以表2的试验参数测定试验钢的临界点,其结果为Ac1为742.6 ℃,Ac3为816.5 ℃,Ms为307.0 ℃。
将试验钢以10 ℃/s的加热速度加热到900 ℃保温10 min奥氏体化,利用程序控制冷却方式以不同的冷却速度冷却到室温,从冷却曲线上读取试验钢的相变开始与结束点温度,结果见表3
将试验所测得的数据(表3)标在温度-时间对数坐标中,连接相同意义的点,便得到过冷奥氏体连续冷却转变图,即稀土合金化高碳耐磨钢的CCT曲线,见图1
图1稀土合金化高碳耐磨钢的连续冷却转变曲线看出,该图共包括了五大区域,它们分别是过冷奥氏体稳定区,用A表示,先共析铁素体转变区,用A+F表示,珠光体转变区,用A+F+C表示,贝氏体转变区,用A+B表示,马氏体转变区,用A+M表示。这些转变区从高温到低温的顺序分别是高温区的铁素体和珠光体转变,中温区的贝氏体转变和低温区的马氏体转变。图中马氏体转变开始线(Ms线)在冷却速度小于4 ℃/s时,向右下方低温区延伸,说明随着冷却速度的降低试验钢的Ms也降低。究其原因是由于在较低的冷却速度冷却时,试验钢在高温区已经发生了先共析铁素体的析出和贝氏体的转变,这些转变提高了过冷奥氏体中的碳含量,在随后冷却过程中高碳过冷奥氏体就会降低马氏体开始转变温度,形成图1中所示曲线。
钢的退火、正火、淬火等热处理以及钢在铸造、锻造、焊接以后的冷却都是从高温连续冷却到低温的过程,在这个过程中,过冷奥氏体的转变贯穿了整个温度区间。高温区由于转变温度高则形成铁素体、珠光体组织,强度低韧性高。中温区转变形成贝氏体组织,强度高韧性低。低温区转变就会形成马氏体+残余奥氏体组织,此时钢的韧性最低。因此钢连续冷却时转变温度的高低是预判热处理后组织和性能优劣的关键参数。由表3看出,试验钢在本试验的冷却速度范围内冷却时,其单相相变开始与结束温度随着冷却速度的增加逐步下降,冷却速度越大相变所需的过冷度也越大。在高温转变区,当冷却速度为0.05 ℃/s时铁素体开始析出的温度是759.0 ℃,珠光体开始相变温度是743.2 ℃,相变结束温度是680.4 ℃。随着冷却速度的增加,铁素体和珠光体组织相变开始温度及相变结束温度在逐渐下降。当冷却速度在0.3 ℃/s时,铁素体相变开始温度降到736.7 ℃,此温度为铁素体相变温度的最低点;当冷却速度达到1 ℃/s时,珠光体相变开始温度降到686.6 ℃,相变结束温度下降到605.0 ℃。在中温转变区,当冷却速度为0.5 ℃/s时出现贝氏体转变,转变开始温度是479.7 ℃,转变结束温度是406.4 ℃。当冷却速度增大到3 ℃/s时,贝氏体转变开始温度下降到433.1 ℃,结束温度下降到318.3 ℃,继续增大冷却速度贝氏体转变结束进入低温转变区即马氏体转变区。在马氏体转变区中,由于马氏体转变属于低温转变,也就是在连续冷却过程中最后完成的转变,故其转变温度的高低将受到高温区和中温区是否有转变和转变量的影响。在本试验的条件下,开始发生马氏体转变的冷却速度范围较宽,从0.5 ℃/s到180 ℃/s均有马氏体转变,但马氏体开始转变的温度变化范围却较窄,变化范围为273.0~309.5 ℃。造成这种现象的原因为:试验钢在低冷却速度冷却时,由于发生了高温和中温转变,形成了铁素体、珠光体或贝氏体组织,增加了剩余过冷奥氏体中碳含量,降低了钢的马氏体开始转变温度;高冷却速度冷却(冷却速度大于临界冷速)时,由于未发生高温和中温转变,过冷奥氏体中保持原奥氏体的碳含量,马氏体转变温度高。
众所周知,钢的内部组织结构主要取决于钢的热处理工艺,也就是钢的冷却速度。就本试验条件下所研究的稀土合金化高碳耐磨钢而言,通过不同冷却速度对其进行冷却所生成的微观组织发生了很大的变化。结合试验钢的冷却速度与室温的组织形貌,大致可以将其组织转变过程分为五个转变区域,即当冷却速度小于0.4 ℃/s时,由于试验钢的冷却速度较慢,过冷奥氏体将在高温区(650 ℃以上)发生全扩散型相变,转变成少量的先共析铁素体+珠光体组织,见图2(a),将此定义为过冷奥氏体转变的第一区。当冷却速度达到0.4 ℃/s时,由于冷却速度的增加抑制了先共析铁素体的析出,过冷奥氏体全部发生共析转变生成珠光体组织,此时试验钢的室温组织为单相伪共析珠光体,见图2(b),此为过冷奥氏体转变的第二区。继续增大试验钢的冷却速度到0.5 ℃/s,就会进入组织转变的第三区,该区出现了贝氏体和马氏体组织,见图2(c),转变后的室温组织为4相,即珠光体+贝氏体+马氏体+残余奥氏体。当冷却速度达到1 ℃/s时,钢中的珠光体、贝氏体量减少,马氏体量增加,见图2(d)
随着试验钢的冷却速度进一步增加到2 ℃/s时,冷却后的室温组织中珠光体组织基本上消失,贝氏体、马氏体及残余奥氏体组织量增加,见图3(a),此为转变的第四区。当冷却速度为3 ℃/s时,试验钢室温组织中贝氏体组织开始减少,马氏体、残余奥氏体量进一步增加,见图3(b)。在冷却速度达到4 ℃/s以后,就会进入试验钢组织转变的第五区,在该区中试验钢的室温组织中贝氏体组织已经消失,室温组织中只有马氏体及残余奥氏体,见图3(c)。若在此基础上继续增加试验钢的冷却速度直至180 ℃/s,其组织组成相未发生任何变化,所不同的是室温组织中的马氏体和残余奥氏体的相对百分含量和马氏体的尺寸发生了变化,也就是随着冷却速度的增加,残余奥氏体量增加,马氏体尺寸变大,见图3(d)
(1)稀土合金化高碳耐磨钢的临界点Ac1为742.6 ℃,Ac3为816.5 ℃,Ms为307.0 ℃,临界冷却速度为4 ℃/s。
(2)稀土合金化高碳耐磨钢在连续冷却过程中共存在五大组织区,分别为过冷奥氏体稳定区、奥氏体向铁素体转变区、奥氏体向珠光体转变区、奥氏体向贝氏体转变区和奥氏体向马氏体转变区。除0.4 ℃/s冷却速度冷却后为单相珠光体组织外,其余冷却速度冷却后均为多相组织。
(3)当冷却速度小于0.4 ℃/s时,试验钢的显微组织为少量铁素体+珠光体;当冷却速度达到0.4 ℃/s时,试验钢的显微组织为单相伪共析珠光体;当冷却速度达到0.5 ℃/s时,钢的显微组织为珠光体+贝氏体+马氏体及残余奥氏体;当冷却速度达到2 ℃/s时,钢的显微组织为贝氏体+马氏体+残余奥氏体;当冷却速度达到4 ℃/s以上时,钢中仅有马氏体+残余奥氏体组织。随着冷却速度增加马氏体尺寸变大,残余奥氏体量增加。
