The accuracy of coal sample analysis depends not only on analysis technology itself, but also on accurate preparation of coal sample before analysis. The coal sample preparation is a complex process including a series of links such as crushing, mixing, division and preservation. The optimization of this process plays a decisive role in improving and ensuring the accuracy of analysis results. In current coal sample preparation process, such factors as segregation of particle size, sample contamination, drying time and improper preservation conditions could affect the representativeness of sample and accuracy of analysis results. In this paper, the preparation method and process optimization of coal sample are discussed. The quality and efficiency of coal sample preparation are improved by optimizing such processes as crushing, mixing, division and preservation, which could lay the foundation for improving the accuracy of analysis result for coal sanple.

由于煤炭具有非均质性及特殊的物理化学性质,煤样制备的每一个环节都对分析结果有着不同程度的影响。目前使用的GB 474—2008《煤炭样品制备方法》、GB/T 211—2017《煤的全水分测定方法》、GB/T 212—2008《煤的工业分析方法》、GB/T 214—2007《煤中全硫的测定方法》等国家标准,在指导煤样制备的各个环节上提供了重要的框架和指引。为了规范操作和适用不同类型设备,还需对具体的操作步骤、温度及时间的控制等细节进行优化。本文结合实际操作中的经验和反馈,对标准中规定的一些细节进行了优化和完善,达到提高煤样制备的代表性和分析结果准确性的目的。
煤样检测是煤炭质量控制和科学研究中的一个重要环节。煤样的制备方法直接影响到煤样分析结果的准确性,为了确保分析结果的准确性,煤样在进行化学或物理分析前必须经过严格的制备过程。因此,采用适当的制备方法对于提高煤样分析的科学性和分析结果的准确性至关重要。
缩分是制样最关键的程序,目的在于减少试样量。试样缩分可以用机械方法,也可用人工方法。机械缩分的弊端是无法对粒度过大的物料进行缩分,当机械缩分使试样的完整性破坏,如产生水分损失、粒度离析等时,或煤的粒度过大使得无法使用机械缩分时,应改用人工缩分。
人工缩分方法包括二分器法、棋盘法、条带截取法、堆锥四分法、九点取样法。其中堆锥四分法是一种比较方便的方法,但存在粒度离析,无法保证缩分样品的均匀性,操作不当会产生偏倚。在多批次试样需要制备的情况下,未对缩分板、破碎机等作业工具进行清洗,可能会造成试样污染和混样。当缩分煤样量较大以及煤样粒度较大时,人工缩分本身可能会造成偏倚。
破碎和研磨是煤样制备过程中的第二步,旨在将大块煤样破碎、磨细至一定的粒度,这一步骤对于保证分析结果的准确性和重现性至关重要。破碎和研磨过程需要使用到颚式破碎机、对辊破碎机、研磨机、振动磨等破碎设备,将大粒度样品逐级破碎到满足分析要求的小粒度试样。由于在破碎和研磨过程中使用不同设备进行逐级破碎,可能会产生样品污染。
对于煤的检测实验室,煤样的破碎是检测过程必不可少的步骤,其中长期使用的破碎设备,必然会有设备在长期的磨、挤、压等作用下,某些部件受损进入到待制备样品中而引入外物,造成样品的污染,这种情况在长时间使用同一设备进行大量样品处理时更为显著。
实验室在样品制备时,使用的破碎设备较多,对于不同的样品连续使用同一破碎设备进行操作时,如接触到样品的部件不能彻底清扫干净,前一个样品的残留物就会留存在设备中,污染到处理的第二个样品,出现交叉污染的情况。
样品在破碎与研磨操作过程中,部分细小样品可能会吸附在设备内壁或因操作不当造成损失。过度研磨会导致煤样的某些物理或化学性质发生变化,破坏了样品的代表性,引起分析结果的不准确。
GB 474—2008《煤炭样品制备方法》、GB/T 211—2017《煤的全水分测定方法》、GB/T 212—2008《煤的工业分析方法》、GB/T 214—2007《煤中全硫的测定方法》等要求,煤样粒度小于0.2 mm,是保证分析结果准确的必要条件。在日常煤样分析中,尤其日处理样品量较大时,样品的粒度往往不进行抽查,使用的研磨设备设定的研磨时间一般不变,对于不同煤种的样品,相同的研磨时间,研磨样品的粒度会有所不同,部分煤种短时间研磨时会出现样品粒度不能满足小于0.2 mm的要求。
空气干燥的目的主要是测定外在水分和在随后的制样过程中尽可能减少水分损失。干燥时间不足可能导致煤样水分偏高,过长的干燥时间可能会使煤样的某些物理性质发生变化,不适当的干燥时间可能影响煤样的破碎与研磨效果,从而影响分析结果的准确性。
在破碎与研磨之后,需要对煤样进行分样和保存,通过分样器将磨细的煤样分成多个小样,以满足不同分析测试的需要。在手动分样过程中,由于技术和操作者技能的限制,很难做到完全均匀。此外,在样品保存过程中,样品的水分变化、化学成分变化或微生物污染,有可能引起样品性质的改变,分析结果也会产生偏差,因此煤样的保存容器的选择成为考虑的重要因素。此外保存环境也是样品保存的重要因素之一。
为了减少粒度离析产生的影响以及确保最终样品的均匀性和一致性,需增加试样颗粒数,减少缩分误差。将样品置于干净平整的缩分板上,用13 mm方孔筛进行筛分,清洗破碎机后,将筛上物料通过破碎机破碎后与筛下物料全部混匀不少于3次,使煤样尽可能均匀。在多批次试样需要制备的情况下,要对同一编码批次的试样混匀缩分完成后,再对下一批次试样进行制备,制备前要对缩分板、破碎机以及作业时使用的工具等进行清洗,避免试样污染和混样的发生。
破碎与研磨是煤样制备过程中关键的环节,直接影响样品的均匀性和分析结果的准确度。根据煤样的硬度和所需的最终粒度,选择合适的破碎和研磨设备以及研磨时间。对于硬度较大的煤样,可能需要采用具有更高破碎力的设备,而对于需要高度均质化的样品,则需选择能够提供稳定研磨效果的设备。细致控制破碎和研磨过程中的各项条件,如破碎速度、研磨强度、研磨时间等。研磨时精煤不超过30 s,研磨其他煤样不超过60 s,确保样品达到所需的均匀性和粒度。此外,适时对破碎设备进行清洁以及维检修,及时更换磨损的部件,避免交叉污染。
对于粒度要求较高的分析,可以采用分级破碎、研磨工艺,即先粗破碎后细研磨,过筛期间不可利用硬刷子强行过筛,无法过筛的需要重复研磨直至全部过筛,逐步达到所需粒度(满足小于0.2 mm的要求)。减少过度破碎与研磨,避免破碎时样品的丢失、污染以及煤样发生性质变化,提高样品制备的效率和质量[1]
空气干燥要严格控制干燥时间,精煤烘箱温度设置不超过40 ℃,其他煤样烘箱温度设置不超过50 ℃。将试样均匀平铺在浅盘中且最大厚度小于浅盘高度,烘烤2.5~3 h后进行称重,再次放入烘箱内,每次烘烤20~30 min,取出后再称重,直至恒量(两次称重差小于试样质量的0.1%),记录最后一次称量质量。其中应特别注意试样样盘在烘箱内不可堆叠放置,将干燥好的试样在室温下冷却至室温。干燥时要观察烘箱温度是否达到所需温度要求。
正确的分样和保存是确保样品在分析前保持稳定的关键。采用科学的分样方法,如旋转分样或减量分样等,确保每个子样具有相同的代表性。分样过程中需要控制分样比例和分样次数,确保最终样品的均匀性和一致性,以适应不同的分析需求。根据煤样的特性和分析需求,规范样品的保存条件。对于容易氧化或受潮的煤样,应在密封容器中保存,保存容器应用不易破损、不与煤样发生化学反应的材料制成,如玻璃瓶或塑料袋,并考虑在氮气等惰性气体的环境下保存,避免样品性质改变。保存环境的温度和湿度也应控制在适宜范围内,避免温度、湿度改变了样品性质。在样品保存时,同时要建立完善的样品标识、登记和追踪制度,确保每个样品的来源、性质、保存条件和使用状态都能够准确记录和跟踪,不仅有助于提高样品管理的效率,也是确保分析结果准确可靠的重要保障[2]
煤样制备是煤炭分析工作中的关键环节,所制备样品的代表性直接关系到分析结果的准确性和可靠性。通过对煤样制备过程的优化,有效提高了样品的代表性,减小了制备过程中产生的误差,为煤炭分析工作提供了有力支持。随着煤炭资源的日益紧缺和环境保护要求的不断提高,煤样制备及过程优化方法的研究将面临更多的挑战,未来将密切关注行业发展趋势,加强与其他领域的交流与合作,探索更加高效、环保的煤样制备技术,为煤炭资源的高效利用贡献更多的力量。
