The effects of adding rare earth element Ce on microstructure and magnetic properties of non-oriented silicon steel 50W470 are studied from such aspects as inclusions, precipitates, grain size and texture. The proportion of central equiaxed crystal in the billet of non-oriented silicon steel after adding rare earth element is 41%~45%, size of rare earth inclusions existed in forms of globularity and rod without sharp corner is about 664 nm. There is obvious inhomogeneity of microstructure on the RD-ND plane of hot rolled microstructure, it is mainly recrystal microstructure with a small amount of banded microstructure on surface layer and mainly banded microstructure in the center as well as there are part of recrystallized grains among banded microstructure. For the finished product of rare earth doped non-oriented silicon steel 50W470 produced with complete process, its magnetic properties, iron loss P1.5/50 is 3.142 W/kg and magnetic induction intensity B50 is 1.705 T.

从夹杂物、析出物、晶粒尺寸和织构等方面认识了添加稀土元素Ce对无取向硅钢50W470组织及磁性能的影响。稀土元素加入后的无取向硅钢铸坯中心等轴晶比例在41%~45%之间,以无尖角的球状和棒状形式存在的稀土夹杂物尺寸约为664 nm。热轧组织在RD-ND面存在较为明显的组织不均匀性,表层以再结晶组织为主并存在少量带状组织;中心以带状组织为主,带状组织间存在部分再结晶晶粒。通过全工艺工业生产的掺稀土无取向硅钢50W470成品磁性能铁损P1.5/50为3.142 W/kg,磁感应强度B50为1.705 T。

从夹杂物、析出物、晶粒尺寸和织构等方面认识了添加稀土元素Ce对无取向硅钢50W470组织及磁性能的影响。稀土元素加入后的无取向硅钢铸坯中心等轴晶比例在41%~45%之间,以无尖角的球状和棒状形式存在的稀土夹杂物尺寸约为664 nm。热轧组织在RD-ND面存在较为明显的组织不均匀性,表层以再结晶组织为主并存在少量带状组织;中心以带状组织为主,带状组织间存在部分再结晶晶粒。通过全工艺工业生产的掺稀土无取向硅钢50W470成品磁性能铁损P1.5/50为3.142 W/kg,磁感应强度B50为1.705 T。

The effects of adding rare earth element Ce on microstructure and magnetic properties of non-oriented silicon steel 50W470 are studied from such aspects as inclusions, precipitates, grain size and texture. The proportion of central equiaxed crystal in the billet of non-oriented silicon steel after adding rare earth element is 41%~45%, size of rare earth inclusions existed in forms of globularity and rod without sharp corner is about 664 nm. There is obvious inhomogeneity of microstructure on the RD-ND plane of hot rolled microstructure, it is mainly recrystal microstructure with a small amount of banded microstructure on surface layer and mainly banded microstructure in the center as well as there are part of recrystallized grains among banded microstructure. For the finished product of rare earth doped non-oriented silicon steel 50W470 produced with complete process, its magnetic properties, iron loss P1.5/50 is 3.142 W/kg and magnetic induction intensity B50 is 1.705 T.

无取向硅钢属于含碳量很低的硅铁合金,硅含量一般为1.5%~3.0%,或硅铝含量之和为1.8%~5.0%,成品通常为冷轧板材或带材,在经形变和退火后的板材中其晶粒呈无规则取向分布[1]。无取向硅钢常见公称厚度主要为0.35 mm和0.5 mm,主要用于制造电动机和发电机的铁芯。在国家“双碳”战略的要求下,各类新型电动机、发电机和压缩机等对无取向硅钢提出更低铁损和更高磁感的要求,影响无取向硅钢磁性能的因素包括化学成分、夹杂物、组织和织构等。设计合适的化学成分和控制较低的有害元素,改变有害夹杂物尺寸和形貌,优化组织晶粒尺寸和织构类型均可以改善和提升磁性能的指标[2]
碳、氮及硫元素对无取向硅钢磁性能极为有害,在钢中形成小于0.1 μm细小弥散的MnS、AlN和TiC等析出物,会明显阻碍退火时晶粒的长大。硅、锰和铝的含量是影响无取向硅钢电阻率的主要元素,需要按要求控制在一定的范围内。随着无取向硅钢的牌号及硅含量的升高,铝含量也可随之增加。锰元素改善热轧板的组织和铸坯的热轧塑性,扩大奥氏体相区,使相变速度减缓以及降低相变温度,同时锰元素也是降低成品铁损的有效元素之一[3-5]。对于无取向硅钢,随着(Si+Al)的含量升高,Mn的含量应适度的降低,否则对成品的冷加工性不利,无取向硅钢中一般含有0.2%-0.8%的锰。
稀土元素具有极强的化学活性,当稀土加入钢中,与S、O等非金属元素反应,形成稀土化合物,比重较小的脱硫脱氧产物上浮速率增大,排出钢液,从而净化钢液。钢中常见的夹杂物如MnS、Al2O3等一般为长条状的不规则形貌,通过添加稀土,夹杂物的形貌变质为球状或椭球状,形成稀土复合夹杂物[6-8],并且端部无棱角,夹杂物尺寸增大,成品晶粒尺寸粗化。本文通过大工业生产将稀土元素Ce加入无取向硅钢50W470中,设计各工序的工业生产工艺,研究各工序组织和织构演变、夹杂物分布和磁性能,为实现掺稀土无取向硅钢的大工业生产的长足发展积累了重要的经验和基础数据。
基于化学元素的作用和成品磁性能要求,掺稀土无取向硅钢50W470化学成分见表1所示。试验用材料均为工业生产各工序结束现场取样结果。
将制备好的金相试样打磨、抛光、侵蚀后,用光学显微镜观察样品的显微结构。采用场发射扫描电子显微镜及能谱仪(FE-SEM,Nova 400 Nano;EDS)对铸坯试样进行形貌观测和成分分析。采用机械抛光和电解抛光制备EBSD扫描样品,并用蔡司Ultra 55场发射扫描电镜检测其取向像图。宏观织构采用XRD衍射仪检测,宏观织构的样品尺寸为15 mm(RD)×10 mm(TD)。测试条件和设备参数:Co靶;电压35 kV;电流40 mA;光阑尺寸0.18 mm。采用反射法测量,测量范围:α为0~80°,β为0~360°。使用单片测试仪测量最终退火板在RD-TD中5 000 A/m的磁感应强度(B50)和1.5 T×50 Hz的铁损耗(P1.5/50)。用于测量磁性能的样品尺寸为100 mm×30 mm。
冶炼无取向硅钢要向转炉提供低硫铁水。采用KR法脱硫技术,使得入转炉铁水硫含量均低于0.002%。采用顶底复吹260 t转炉冶炼,出钢时保证钢中碳含量≤0.04%。终点出钢温度要求大于1 620 ℃,出钢时采用挡渣操作严格控制下渣量,争取做到零下渣。出钢时在钢包中加入少量铝进行预脱氧。
RH精炼工序主要是脱碳、脱氧及合金化。真空状态下,碳和氧的亲和力增加,可以得到含碳量很低的钢水。在脱碳结束后,先加入适量的铝进行预脱氧,最大限度地降低钢中的氧,同时将氧控制在合适的范围内。然后再加入金属锰、铝粒、硅铁等合金进行成分调整和均匀化。在真空处理结束前5 min加入30%含量的稀土铈铁合金60 kg,循环7分钟左右后负压,然后进行钙处理。
连铸全程采用保护浇铸。在连铸过程中为了防止钢水的二次氧化和吸入氮气,在大包和中间包采用保护套管加石棉套加氩气的保护形式,中间包到结晶器采用浸入式水口,中间包加硅钢专用覆盖剂,结晶器采用低碳保护渣。铸机采用恒拉速控制,拉速范围0.8~1.2 m/min。在连铸时采用电磁搅拌,控制等轴晶的比例大于30%,在液相线温度以下进行搅拌可以发生等轴晶化。
连铸坯下线后进行保温和缓冷,保证铸坯入炉温度高于300 ℃。由于MnS和AlN在热轧过程中析出会恶化磁性能,其中MnS固溶温度大于1 300 ℃,AlN固溶温度1 200~1 300 ℃之间,因此控制加热温度在1 100~1 200 ℃之间对成品磁性能有利。粗轧和精轧过程中控制组织转变,精轧快速轧制实现高终轧温度和卷取温度,保证热轧板中组织尽可能多的发生再结晶。掺稀土无取向硅钢50W470热轧工艺参数见表2所示。热轧粗轧采用“1+3”轧制模式,粗轧和精轧的快速轧制实现储存能的积累,终轧温度控制在890 ℃左右,层流冷却基本没有水冷却钢带,最终保证较高的卷取温度,热轧板厚度控制在2.3~2.6 mm。
冷轧原料厚度2.3~2.6 mm,酸洗后经过冷轧轧成0.5 mm冷硬板,总压下量控制在78%~82%之间,冷轧过程重点关注表面质量、同板差和板形。冷硬板经过碱洗后进行退火,退火工艺参数见表3,退火温度控制在820~930 ℃之间,炼钢中包成分碳含量低于30 ppm,不需要在湿保护气氛中脱碳。退火时快速升温至要求温度,促进再结晶晶粒长大。退火后双面涂绝缘层,经过300~450 ℃干燥后形成绝缘膜保证良好的层间电阻和冲片性能,掺稀土无取向硅钢50W470连续退火工艺参数如表3所示。
图1所示为掺稀土无取向硅钢50W470铸坯横截面低倍组织,由于硅含量较高,凝固过程中形成了比较发达的柱状晶,稀土元素Ce的加入并且连铸过程中使用了电磁搅拌,将中心等轴晶比例控制在了41%~45%之间,减少柱状晶比例,避免产生瓦楞状缺陷。表4所示为铸坯低倍缺陷判定情况,通过在工业生产中随机选择两炉钢水的连铸坯与标准要求进行对比判定分析发现,两炉掺稀土无取向硅钢连铸坯横截面中心偏析和中心疏松均0.5级,且无中间裂纹及三角区裂纹,符合标准要求。
通过在精炼RH工序时加入60 kg稀土铈铁合金(铈含量30%)实现无取向硅钢掺稀土的目的,利用扫描电镜(SEM)分析稀土铈的存在形式,在铸坯的宽度和厚度方向取样观察夹杂物的成分、形貌和尺寸,发现比较典型的稀土夹杂物如图2所示。稀土夹杂物尺寸均较大,图2中夹杂物尺寸达664 nm,以无尖角的球状和棒状形式存在,分析图2中能谱图可以看出,稀土夹杂物为Ce2O2S。稀土铈与氧及硫元素结合可降低有害元素硫含量并减少小尺寸MnS夹杂物数量,起到净化作用。
掺稀土无取向硅钢50W470热轧金相组织如图3所示。通过对比RD-ND面ND方向上、中和下三个位置的组织情况,分析发现RD-ND面组织存在明显的不均匀性,表层以再结晶组织为主并存在少量带状组织,中心以带状组织为主,带状组织间存在部分再结晶晶粒。轧制过程中表层温度低且应力场复杂,在轧制过程中产生严重的剪切变形,使带钢表层组织具有较高的位错密度和形变储能,为形成再结晶晶粒提供了形核的驱动力。在层流冷却和720 ℃高温卷取后发生再结晶,中心温度高且仅有压应力储存能低不易发生再结晶,带状组织最终保留下来。
掺稀土无取向硅钢50W470退火板金相组织如图4所示,冷轧组织经过高温短时间连续退火后组织已经完全发生回复和再结晶,带状组织全部消失,平均晶粒尺寸为97.13 μm。在退火过程中,冷轧板组织发生回复、形核和再结晶,形成等轴再结晶晶粒。冷轧板中存在形变储能,冷轧板的变形组织处于亚稳定化态,具有向稳定状态转化的趋势。温度较低时,原子的活动能力有限,冷轧板的亚稳定状态可维持很长时间不发生变化。在髙温退火的条件下,原子获得足够的活动能力,变形组织开始释放形变储能,由高位错密度的冷轧变形组织向低位错密度的再结晶组织转化,从亚稳定状态转变为稳定状态[9,10]。形变储能为再结晶形核提供了驱动力,在变形组织的剪切带中形成小晶粒,小晶粒通过大角度晶界的迁移不断的吞噬、长大,最终得到低位错密度的完全再结晶晶粒。
利用XRD观察热轧板不同厚度层的宏观织构,并计算得到φ2=45°织构的ODF截面图,如图5所示。热轧板不同厚度组织存在不均匀性,分别观察对比厚度1/8、1/4和1/2层的宏观织构。从图5可以看出,热轧板厚度1/8处主要织构为剪切织构{110}<001>和{110}<112>,热轧板厚度1/4处织构{110}<001>和{110}<112>强度降低,同时出现α线和γ线织构;热轧板厚度中心1/2处主要为α线和γ线织构,不存在剪切织构{110}<001>和{110}<112>。
图6所示为对比热轧板厚度1/8、1/4和1/2层α线和γ线织构分布情况。从图6中可以看出厚度1/8处无α线和γ线织构;厚度1/4处存在α线织构{001}<110>、{112}<110>和{111}<110>和γ线织构{111}<011>;厚度中心1/2处存在α线织构{001}<110>、{112}<110>、{111}<110>和{110}<110>,γ线织构{111}<011>,与厚度1/4处对比可以看出厚度中心1/2处{001}<110>、{112}<110>和{111}<110>织构强度明显升高并出现{110}<110>织构,γ线织构{111}<011>强度保持不变。
热轧板厚度1/8和1/4处织构与1/2处不同,热轧板表面同时受剪切应力和压应力的作用,形变储存能较高出现{110}<001>织构。{110}<001>取向的晶粒受到轧制力的作用,沿横向和轧制方向发生一定角度的旋转,从而形成取向的铜型织构以及{110}<112>取向的黄铜型织构,1/2层仅受到压应力的作用,出现最易形成且强度较高{100}织构。
利用XRD观察成品板表层宏观织构并计算得到φ2=45°织构的ODF截面图,如图7所示。退火板织构主要为γ线和α线织构,其中比较强的织构为{111}<112>和{111}<112>强度为5.91,{100}<110>织构强度1.95,{100}<010>强度约3.93。
为进一步研究不同取向晶粒的分布情况,利用EBSD观测成品板微观织构,如图8所示。利用软件对主要面织构的晶面体积分数进行计算,设定的偏离角为10°,结果见表5所示。退火板有利织构{001}和{110}组分面积分数和为19.23%,其中{110}组分的面积分数17.9%。为获得良好的成品磁性能,在无取向硅钢的生产中一般要求尽量提高{100}和{110}面织构的组分,特别是{100}组分,同时尽量降低{111}织构的组分。冷轧板中不同位向的晶粒储存能按以下顺序:{100}≤{111}≤{112}≤{110}。经过退火有利的{100}面织构的组分降低,而不利的{111}面织构组分増强。{100}晶粒最易发生滑移,位错密度低、储能低,最难发生再结晶。而{111}晶粒比{100}晶粒的储能高,退火时{111}晶粒优先形核和长大,吞噬{100}组分的晶粒,导致{100}面织构组分减弱。按照标准要求,利用方圈法检测成品磁性能,铁损P1.5/50为3.142 W/kg,磁感应强度B50为1.705 T。
(1)探明了掺稀土无取向硅钢50W470铸坯组织情况,中心等轴晶比例在41%~45%之间,中心偏析和中心疏松均为0.5级。稀土夹杂物为Ce2O2S尺寸约为664 nm,以无尖角的球状和棒状形式存在。
(2)掌握了掺稀土无取向硅钢50W470不同轧制工艺阶段的组织与织构变化规律,热轧组织在厚向存在明显的不均匀性,表层以再结晶组织为主并存在少量带状组织,中心以带状组织为主,带状组织间存在部分再结晶晶粒。成品板组织平均晶粒尺寸为97.13 μm。
(3)分析了无取向硅钢50W470加入稀土元素后的成品磁性能。掺稀土无取向硅钢50W470成品磁性能铁损P1.5/50为3.142 W/kg,磁感应强度B50为1.705 T。
