In this paper, the causes of surface defects for 310 zed beam rolled by YQ450NQR1 continuous casting billet produced with cross section of bloom (320×415 mm) by 7# continuous casting machine in Steel-making Plant of Baotou Steel are analyzed and control scheme is proposed so that the yield of product is improved. The tongue-shaped defects in rolled products are determined to be caused by the surface crack at corner of continuous casting billet by analyzing the macrostructure and microstructure of continuous casting billet and rolled products with metallographic microscope and scanning electron microscope. The qualified rate of YQ450NQR1 continuous casting billet is improved from 90.5% to 98.5% and stable control of product quality for 310 zed beam is realized through reducing the water amount and optimizing uniformity of water crevice for crystallizer to improve the uniformity of continuous casting billet cooled in crystallizer as well as taking such measures as reducing the specific water amount of secondary cooling, increasing casting speed to increase the surface temperature of entering tension leveler and optimizing slow cooling regime.

文章主要针对包钢炼钢厂7#铸机大方坯(320×415 mm)断面生产YQ450NQR1轧制310乙字钢的表面缺陷原因进行了分析并提出了控制方案,提高了产品的成材率。通过利用金相显微镜以及电镜对铸坯及轧材的宏微观组织进行分析,明确轧材中的舌头状缺陷来源于连铸坯的角部表面裂纹。通过减少结晶器水量和优化结晶器水缝均匀性提升铸坯在结晶器内冷却的均匀性,同时采取降低二冷比水量和提高拉速等措施提高进入拉矫机的表面温度,并对缓冷制度进行优化,最终使得YQ450NQR1铸坯合格率从90.5%提升到98.5%,实现310乙字钢产品质量的稳定控制。

文章主要针对包钢炼钢厂7#铸机大方坯(320×415 mm)断面生产YQ450NQR1轧制310乙字钢的表面缺陷原因进行了分析并提出了控制方案,提高了产品的成材率。通过利用金相显微镜以及电镜对铸坯及轧材的宏微观组织进行分析,明确轧材中的舌头状缺陷来源于连铸坯的角部表面裂纹。通过减少结晶器水量和优化结晶器水缝均匀性提升铸坯在结晶器内冷却的均匀性,同时采取降低二冷比水量和提高拉速等措施提高进入拉矫机的表面温度,并对缓冷制度进行优化,最终使得YQ450NQR1铸坯合格率从90.5%提升到98.5%,实现310乙字钢产品质量的稳定控制。

In this paper, the causes of surface defects for 310 zed beam rolled by YQ450NQR1 continuous casting billet produced with cross section of bloom (320×415 mm) by 7# continuous casting machine in Steel-making Plant of Baotou Steel are analyzed and control scheme is proposed so that the yield of product is improved. The tongue-shaped defects in rolled products are determined to be caused by the surface crack at corner of continuous casting billet by analyzing the macrostructure and microstructure of continuous casting billet and rolled products with metallographic microscope and scanning electron microscope. The qualified rate of YQ450NQR1 continuous casting billet is improved from 90.5% to 98.5% and stable control of product quality for 310 zed beam is realized through reducing the water amount and optimizing uniformity of water crevice for crystallizer to improve the uniformity of continuous casting billet cooled in crystallizer as well as taking such measures as reducing the specific water amount of secondary cooling, increasing casting speed to increase the surface temperature of entering tension leveler and optimizing slow cooling regime.

310乙字钢是列车车厢中梁的特殊用钢,是列车载重的重要部位[1,2]。YQ450NQR1连铸方坯为该钢种的母材,其碳含量控制范围为0.10%~0.14%,属于包晶钢范畴;同时钢中含有Cu、Cr、Ni和V等微合金元素,铸坯裂纹敏感性较高[3]。根据钢种特点,铸坯易产生表面裂纹缺陷,并遗传至轧材中,影响轧材质量以及成材率。在批量生产YQ450NQR1过程中,轧材表面频繁出现舌形缺陷,使得轧材废品比例高达35.57%,不仅增加了能耗、造成经济损失,且严重影响包钢310乙字钢的品牌形象并产生无法依照合同如期交付等问题。基于钢种自身特点,通过对YQ450NQR1连铸工艺的一冷、二冷以及拉速等工艺进行优化,提高了铸坯及轧材的质量,使得YQ450NQR1铸坯合格率进一步提高。
轧材成品表面缺陷形貌如图1(a)所示。表面表现为不规则裂纹形态,总体宏观形貌为舌头状。从宏观形貌来看,排除缺陷是由于轧制过程机械划伤引起的。为进一步分析表面缺陷成因,选取有缺陷的310乙字钢(如图1(b)所示,短腿内侧肉眼可见舌头状缺陷),对其金相组织以及微观成分进行分析。
对缺陷试样沿着横截面剖开,并利用磨拋机对试样进行打磨抛光处理,直至表面无明显划痕为止,磨拋之后表面微观形貌如图2(a)和2(b)所示。从图2中可以看出,舌头状缺陷在横截面上为裂纹缺陷,且裂纹在靠近表面处方向为垂直表面,在远离表面处,裂纹与表面呈现出较小的夹角。同时,裂纹内部存在大量氧化铁(图2(a)和2(b)中裂纹内部的灰色相组织)。采用4%硝酸酒精对试样进行腐蚀后,得到图2(c)所示的金相组织。从结果来看,基体组织为铁素体和珠光体组成,在裂纹附近存在一定程度的脱碳。通过对缺陷的微观形貌可以推断,该缺陷可能源于铸坯上具有一定深度的表面裂纹。该裂纹形成之后,在连铸过程以及加热炉内受到氧化而在裂纹附近形成脱碳组织。在经过轧制过程后,裂纹受压变形,在远离表面位置裂纹表现出一定倾角。
对上述缺陷试样利用扫描电镜观察其缺陷处组织,同时利用能谱扫描对比正常位置以及缺陷位置处的成分差异,结果如图3(a)和3(b)所示。从图3(a)可以看出,裂纹附近处存在大量氧化原点,这可能是在铸坯裂纹形成之后,裂纹附近组织在加热炉内受到高温氧化而成。同时,基体和正常位置处成分差别不大,且裂纹附近处未见微合金元素析出。
通过金相以及电镜缺陷的微观形貌和成分进行分析可以推断,缺陷源于铸坯,经轧制后裂纹变形在成品上表现为舌头状表面缺陷。
根据轧材成品缺陷对铸坯裂纹溯源,在检查铸坯过程中发现铸坯角部存在裂纹缺陷(如图4所示)。
裂纹缺陷从铸坯角部向中间延伸,长度约30~40 mm,裂纹深度约25 mm。同时,表面缺陷的一部分与振痕波谷重合,且经过扩展延伸至相邻振痕位置处。另外,通过对比铸坯角部裂纹及成品舌形缺陷,在轧制乙字钢的过程中,方坯角部所对应的位置为乙字钢的长腿内侧和短腿外侧,可以确定铸坯角部裂纹是该缺陷产生的主要原因。
为进一步判断裂纹是在结晶器冷却还是二冷阶段产生,对裂纹断口位置处的成分进行分析,微观形貌以及能谱扫描结果如图5所示,具体成分含量如表1所示。从微观形貌来看,裂纹处存在大量附着物。附着物的能谱扫描结果表明,除了基体的Fe元素以外,O、Ca、Si、Mg和Na的峰值也较为明显,在该位置下存在保护渣的成分,可能是在结晶器弯月面处保护渣被挤入裂纹处。因此可以推断,铸坯角部裂纹形成于结晶器阶段。
在铸坯角部裂纹处取样,沿着裂纹剖分试样获得缺陷位置处断口的宏观组织,如图6所示。裂纹深度约为25 mm,柱状晶较为发达,表面无激冷层。图中1、2、3和4依次为检查区域,1#区域为新压开的沿晶断口,说明晶界结合力较弱,裂纹易通过该位置进行扩展;2#、3#区域颜色较黑,晶粒相对小;4#区域颜色为深蓝色,晶粒最大。以上结果表明,方坯断面角部组织均匀性较差,导致内部组织应力集中,在高温应力作用下使得铸坯裂纹的产生。
YQ450NQR1为C含量在0.10%~0.14%范围内的亚包晶钢,发生δ→γ相变时收缩性较大。因此,初生坯壳与结晶器热面具有较大的空隙,使得在连铸过程中坯壳在靠近弯月面区域和角部区域的收缩不均匀。初生坯壳厚度不均匀性越大,表面越容易产生凹陷,从而诱发横裂纹。同时,该钢种为微合金钢,含有一定量的Cu和V等元素。Cu不易氧化且熔点较低,容易在晶界处富集;V容易与钢种N结合从而形成第二相质点在奥氏体晶界处析出并钉扎在晶界,以上两个方面都进一步增加了钢种本身的裂纹敏感性[4]。在弯曲矫直阶段受到外力作用导致晶界破坏,从而使得裂纹沿着晶界进一步扩展。
综上所述,YQ450NQR1为裂纹敏感性钢种,且在结晶器内由于一次冷却不均匀容易导致铸坯角部裂纹的产生。同时,铸坯在运行过程中受到弯曲力和矫直力以及鼓肚的作用,若铸坯刚好处于低温脆性区,且振痕处本身处于应力集中区域,裂纹容易在进入二次冷却和拉矫处进一步萌生并逐步扩大。因此,对于铸坯横裂纹的控制应当从结晶器以及二次冷却阶段的冷却工艺等方面加以控制。
通过调整结晶器冷却水量以改善铸坯初生坯壳的冷却条件,提高角部宏观组织均匀性。在连铸过程中,结晶器内的传热与冷却对改善铸坯质量有重要影响。结晶器传热均匀与否将会直接决定铸坯初生坯壳的厚度是否均匀。如果结晶器的冷却水量过大,结晶器热流密度增大,坯壳冷却的不均匀程度就越严重,从而影响铸坯的表面质量。由于裂纹主要出现在角部区域,因此,在生产本钢种时应适当减小结晶器水量,将结晶器水量从原来的3 500 l/min降低到3 200 l/min,促进坯壳缓冷以保证初生坯壳的均匀性。
同时,结晶器四角冷却水缝与标准值(4 mm)存在偏差,会导致铸坯角部坯壳的厚度与强度不均匀,从而在角部坯壳的薄弱部位产生角部横裂纹。通过对大方坯结晶器水缝进行测量,测量结果如表2所示。结果表明,8#、10#和11#结晶器的不同位置水缝存在差异,即水缝存在不均匀分布现象。
基于以上情况,对结晶器水缝进行优化。首先重新测量结晶器导流水套及铜管尺寸并设定标准水缝参数,同时对更换过程进行重点监控,以保证结晶器水缝的均匀性。
二冷过强将使得铸坯在纵向及横向上的温度梯度过大,从而产生较大的热应力。同时角部为二维传热,冷却更强且不均匀性更大,使得铸坯表面的温度容易落入第三脆性区进行弯曲矫直[4]。另外,过强的二次冷却还会使得铸坯表面温度在矫直段经历反复回温的过程[5],从而导致固态相变反复发生,促进碳氮化物在晶界析出,增强了横裂纹的敏感性。因此应当适当降低二冷水量,对于本钢种,将二冷比水量从原来的0.23 l/kg降低到现在的0.19 l/kg,提高铸坯进入弯曲矫直段的温度并减小铸坯纵向和横向温度的不均匀性,减少横向裂纹的产生。
拉速作为重要的工艺参数,对控制铸坯缺陷和产能有着重要的作用。当拉速过低时,结晶器上回流较弱,结晶器弯月面处钢水供热不足,保护渣的熔化性能较差,此时坯壳厚度较厚且均匀性较差,易在坯壳薄弱处产生裂纹;同时,较低的拉速会使铸坯进入拉矫机的表面温度过低而进入第三脆性区。过高的拉速使得铸坯在结晶器内的传热量少,坯壳较薄,因此,应当保证合适的拉速。对于本钢种,将拉速从之前的0.62 m/min提高到现在的0.68 m/min,使铸坯进入拉矫机温度稳定控制到930 ℃以上,避开钢种裂纹敏感区。
对于合金钢而言,由于合金元素的作用,在高温冷却过程中发生相变,铸坯内部存在组织应力,因此需要对铸坯进行缓冷,以促进应力的充分释放。对于本钢种,将铸坯的缓冷时间由之前的24 h增加到48 h,达到消除或减少应力,防止裂纹的产生的目的。
通过对结晶器冷却、二次冷却、拉速和缓冷等几个方面的工艺参数进行优化后,产品质量得到稳定控制。2019年~2020年生产乙字钢10万余t,铸坯合格率从2018年的90.5%提升到2020年的98.5%,成品310乙字钢缺陷比例降低至1%以下。
(1)铸坯角部裂纹是成品310乙字钢舌形缺陷产生的主要原因。
(2)通过降低二冷比水量、提高拉速可以有效地提高铸坯拉矫温度,降低铸坯矫直应力。
(3)通过结晶器水缝、二冷比水量、拉速以及缓冷工艺优化,有效提高了方坯的内部及表面质量,铸坯角部裂纹率由9.5%降低至1.5%。
