In order to improve the problem of transverse corner crack for peritectic steel, hypo-peritectic steel, medium carbon steel and microalloyed steel containing B, Nb, V and Ti, the chamfering crystallizer successively comes into service of 1# and 2# conticasters. As a result, the defect of transverse corner crack is improved obviously, but due to the changes of cooling mode at corner, such defects of billet as longitudinal corner crack, scab and indentation appear easily as well as they could even cause the accident of longitudinal crack and bleed-out. In the paper, it is mainly analyzed such common defects of chamfering ingot blank as longitudinal crack, scab and indentation so that the slab defects are effectively controlled through such measures as adjusting the taper coefficient of copper plate with narrow edge and cooling intensity of secondary cooling water as well as optimizing the assembly accuracy of equipment and modification of key equipment.

为了改善包晶钢、亚包晶钢、中碳钢和含硼、铌、钒、钛微合金化钢的角部横裂问题,在1#、2#连铸机陆续投入使用倒角结晶器,角部横裂缺陷明显改善,但由于角部冷却方式的变化,板坯易出现的角部纵裂纹、结疤和压痕等缺陷,严重时会导致纵裂漏钢事故。文章重点对倒角铸坯常见的纵裂纹、结疤和压痕等缺陷进行分析,通过调整窄侧铜板锥度系数、二冷水冷却强度、优化设备装配精度和关键设备改造等措施,板坯缺陷得到有效控制。

为了改善包晶钢、亚包晶钢、中碳钢和含硼、铌、钒、钛微合金化钢的角部横裂问题,在1#、2#连铸机陆续投入使用倒角结晶器,角部横裂缺陷明显改善,但由于角部冷却方式的变化,板坯易出现的角部纵裂纹、结疤和压痕等缺陷,严重时会导致纵裂漏钢事故。文章重点对倒角铸坯常见的纵裂纹、结疤和压痕等缺陷进行分析,通过调整窄侧铜板锥度系数、二冷水冷却强度、优化设备装配精度和关键设备改造等措施,板坯缺陷得到有效控制。

In order to improve the problem of transverse corner crack for peritectic steel, hypo-peritectic steel, medium carbon steel and microalloyed steel containing B, Nb, V and Ti, the chamfering crystallizer successively comes into service of 1# and 2# conticasters. As a result, the defect of transverse corner crack is improved obviously, but due to the changes of cooling mode at corner, such defects of billet as longitudinal corner crack, scab and indentation appear easily as well as they could even cause the accident of longitudinal crack and bleed-out. In the paper, it is mainly analyzed such common defects of chamfering ingot blank as longitudinal crack, scab and indentation so that the slab defects are effectively controlled through such measures as adjusting the taper coefficient of copper plate with narrow edge and cooling intensity of secondary cooling water as well as optimizing the assembly accuracy of equipment and modification of key equipment.

包钢稀土钢板材公司两台板坯连铸机分别于2013年10月19日和2014年4月28日热负荷试车,仅用一年时间便成功开发生产80余个钢种,并于2015年5月达产。随着后续产品结构的调整和设备的不断老化,两台连铸机在生产包晶钢、亚包晶钢、中碳钢和含硼、铌、钒、钛微合金化钢时,连铸坯存在严重角部横裂纹缺陷。为了改善此类缺陷,倒角结晶器于2018年开始陆续在1#、2#连铸机投入使用,通过不断地优化工艺参数使得倒角结晶器的使用趋于常态化,连铸板坯角裂缺陷得到有效控制,角裂比例降低到0.5%。倒角结晶器由于边角部坯壳温度及坯壳厚度与直角结晶器区别较大,坯壳相对较薄,同时对结晶器装配精度要求较高,在实践应用过程中易出现角部纵裂纹、结疤和压痕等缺陷,严重时会导致铸坯窄侧漏钢事故。
本文重点阐述倒角结晶器在实际生产过程中的应用,对常见问题产生的原因和控制措施进行详细解析。
包钢稀土钢板材公司现有两台连铸机,1 650 mm连铸机由中冶京诚公司设计;2 150 mm连铸机由西门子奥钢联设计,核心技术和关键设备由奥钢联提供。两台连铸机后部辊道、切割机和氢氧发生器等配套设备由国内制造厂制作。连铸机采用了液压振动、动态轻压下、铸流电磁搅拌、氢氧切割等先进技术。工艺流程为:KR脱硫→转炉冶炼→LF炉和RH炉精炼→连铸。钢种结构包括低碳钢、结构钢、船板、管线钢、汽车用钢和磨具用钢等。主要设备参数见表1
倒角结晶器的开发通过改变窄面铜板结构,将铸坯角部常规直角转变为两个钝角,使原边部直角位置的二维冷却变为近一维冷却,减缓角部传热,提高角部温度及其均匀性,进而消除角部应力集中,达到控制角部横裂的目的[1]
基本参数包括:
(1)倒角坯角部需要保证足够的冷却强度,因此应在铜板角部增加两个圆形水缝,通过水缝循环冷却水,对铸坯角部进行冷却,倒角结晶器窄侧铜板见图1
(2)倒角结晶器铜板应设计成双锥度结构以增大局部锥度,减少纵裂缺陷。
(3)铜板斜面与平直面的夹角θ应控制在30°±5°范围,保证铸坯受到的应力最小。
(4)铜板斜面长度B控制在40~80 mm,保证生产顺行。
角部纵裂是倒角结晶器在生产实践中最常见的缺陷之一,严重时会出现结疤缺陷(又称窄侧渗漏)。统计1#、2#铸机各钢种角部纵裂发生比率,其中包晶钢、高合金钢和Ti系微合金化钢更易出现纵裂缺陷(见图2),同时2#铸机缺陷率高于1#铸机(见图3)。
根据缺陷形貌分析,角部纵裂缺陷95%以上发生在倒角坯窄面平直面与斜面相交的倒角部位,结
疤处有明显振痕,对缺陷位置进行扫描电镜观察,发现裂纹内部存在MgO、CaO等夹杂物[2]。由此说明,角纵裂及结疤在结晶器内发生。
分析认为,此类缺陷主要由于结晶器窄侧铜板与铸坯之间间隙较大,未能有效的支撑坯壳,铸坯冷却不均匀,进而产生偏离角纵裂。具体原因分析如下:
(1)在倒角结晶器设计初期,窄侧锥度在直角结晶器的基础上增加0.05%,但在实际生产过程中铜板距下口1/3位置磨损严重(0.5~0.7 mm),铜板使用后期,镀层磨损量增加,导致窄侧铜板与铸坯之间间隙增大。
(2)2#铸机结晶器跑锥严重。统计2020年2月份,结晶器共使用112次,其中跑锥量大于1 mm共计36次(见图4图5),跑锥比率为32.14%,其中5个浇次板坯出现角部纵裂缺陷。图4图5分别为四流结晶器南侧锥度变化统计图和四流结晶器北侧锥度变化统计图。
(3)倒角面坯壳相对较薄。在钢水过热度高、拉速快、铸坯窄侧冷却不足的情况下,倒角面位置与铸坯宽侧冷却收缩偏差较大,易出现角部纵裂缺陷[3]
针对以上问题,在生产实践过程中制定以下解决措施:
(1)根据窄侧铜板过钢量,调整锥度参数,若在线过钢量大于4万t,锥度在原基础上增加0.05%。
(2)将1#、2#铸机结晶器调宽模式进行对比,其中2#铸机结晶器窄侧油缸比例阀采用电压型,存在反应缓慢,精度低等问题(见表2),因此将2#铸机结晶器比例阀进行改造,解决结晶器跑锥引起的铸坯角部纵裂。
(3)提高铸坯窄面和倒角边的冷却强度,其中结晶器窄侧水量在原基础上增加120 L/min,窄面足辊水量在原基础上增加15%~30%。
通过以上措施倒角结晶器角部纵裂得到有效控制,生产包晶钢、高合金钢和Ti系微合金化钢角部纵裂发生率由3.6%降至0.2%。
与正常直角结晶器对比,倒角边铸坯往往会出现鼓肚现象,这与倒角结晶器坯壳生长特点有直接关系,通过增加窄面倒角足辊可解决此问题,但在实际应用过程中倒角边角部压痕缺陷也随之产生。由图6图7可以看出,压痕位置与倒角足辊角部存在明显对应关系。
通过跟踪缺陷铸坯轧制情况,若压痕深度不小于1 mm,则钢卷边部会出现翘皮缺陷。据统计,2020年上半年压痕深度超标比率为15.62%,铸坯必须经过火焰清理后方可正常轧制,造成大量能源、材料、人力资源的浪费,影响热装率以及合同正常兑现。
边部压痕是倒角结晶器使用之后产生的新缺陷,因此需要对倒角足辊的设计参数及装配精度进行逐项排查,同时结合下线检查时常见故障,最终确定以下几方面是影响压痕深度的重要因素。
(1)足辊碟簧损坏,使得生产过程中倒角足辊无法自由伸缩。
(2)原来设计倒角辊过度圆弧直径为5 mm,过渡角角度偏小,划伤铸坯。
(3)设计初期为防止铸坯出现鼓肚缺陷,倒角足辊与窄侧铜板接弧过于偏向铸坯方向。
(4)倒角辊内部隔环厚度偏小,铸坯在运行过程中无法与倒角足辊完全吻合。
为进一步验证设备参数及装配精度对压痕深度的影响,分别对同一台结晶器按照不同的设计参数进行改装,测量产出铸坯的压痕深度(见表3)。
通过试验数据总结,窄侧铜板与足辊对弧在0.4~0.5 mm、过度圆弧直径调整至20 mm、内部隔环厚度8.25 mm,可有效的减少铸坯角部压痕指数。
(1)通过增加结晶器窄侧和足辊水量,提高冷却强度,优化结晶器锥度参数,杜绝生产过程中结晶器跑锥,可以有效地减少倒角结晶器角部纵裂缺陷发生概率。
(2)优化倒角足辊的设计参数,控制装配精度,可减少铸坯角部压痕指数。
