The surface quality, rimhole, center porosity, center segregation, contents of oxygen and nitrogen and inclusions for the head slab of IF steel produced by a steel mill are studied as well as the rolling defects of head slab are tracked and with the treatment of peeling with flame. The study results showed that the surface quality and rimhole of head slab were improved with the increase of slab length; level of center porosity for internal soundness exceeded the standard at slab length of 1 m, while there was no abnormality seen for center segregation; contents of oxygen and nitrogen tended to decrease with the increase of slab length; number of such inclusions as Al2O3, TiN and complex inclusion of Al2O3-TiN decreased with the increase of slab length; there was large complex inclusion of Al2O3-MgO-CaO at 1 m of head slab; main rolling defects of head slab were such subcutaneous inclusion defects as deoxidation product of Al2O3 and slag entrapment of mould level fluctuation; quality of head slab could be effectively improved with the treatment of peeling with flame.

针对某钢厂生产的IF钢,对头坯的表面质量、皮下气泡、中心疏松、中心偏析、氧氮含量和夹杂物进行研究,并对头坯轧制缺陷进行跟踪和采用火焰扒皮处理。研究结果表明:头坯表面质量和皮下气泡均随着铸坯长度的增加而逐步改善;内部质量中心疏松级别在铸坯长度1 m处存在超标现象,而中心偏析未见异常;氧和氮含量均沿铸坯长度的增加呈降低趋势;夹杂物主要为Al2O3、TiN和Al2O3-TiN复合夹杂物,其数量随着铸坯长度的增加而逐渐减少;在头坯1 m处存在Al2O3-MgO-CaO大型复合夹杂物;头坯轧制缺陷主要为脱氧产物Al2O3类和结晶器液位波动卷渣类的皮下夹杂缺陷;火焰扒皮处理可以有效提高头坯质量。

针对某钢厂生产的IF钢,对头坯的表面质量、皮下气泡、中心疏松、中心偏析、氧氮含量和夹杂物进行研究,并对头坯轧制缺陷进行跟踪和采用火焰扒皮处理。研究结果表明:头坯表面质量和皮下气泡均随着铸坯长度的增加而逐步改善;内部质量中心疏松级别在铸坯长度1 m处存在超标现象,而中心偏析未见异常;氧和氮含量均沿铸坯长度的增加呈降低趋势;夹杂物主要为Al2O3、TiN和Al2O3-TiN复合夹杂物,其数量随着铸坯长度的增加而逐渐减少;在头坯1 m处存在Al2O3-MgO-CaO大型复合夹杂物;头坯轧制缺陷主要为脱氧产物Al2O3类和结晶器液位波动卷渣类的皮下夹杂缺陷;火焰扒皮处理可以有效提高头坯质量。

The surface quality, rimhole, center porosity, center segregation, contents of oxygen and nitrogen and inclusions for the head slab of IF steel produced by a steel mill are studied as well as the rolling defects of head slab are tracked and with the treatment of peeling with flame. The study results showed that the surface quality and rimhole of head slab were improved with the increase of slab length; level of center porosity for internal soundness exceeded the standard at slab length of 1 m, while there was no abnormality seen for center segregation; contents of oxygen and nitrogen tended to decrease with the increase of slab length; number of such inclusions as Al2O3, TiN and complex inclusion of Al2O3-TiN decreased with the increase of slab length; there was large complex inclusion of Al2O3-MgO-CaO at 1 m of head slab; main rolling defects of head slab were such subcutaneous inclusion defects as deoxidation product of Al2O3 and slag entrapment of mould level fluctuation; quality of head slab could be effectively improved with the treatment of peeling with flame.

IF钢(Interstitial Free Steel),即无间隙原子钢,是采用Ti、Nb等强碳氮化合物形成元素,将超低碳钢中的C和N等间隙原子完全固定为碳氮化合物的洁净铁素体钢。由于钢中没有间隙原子,使其具有优越的深冲性能,而广泛应用于汽车面板、家电面板、易拉罐、电动汽车电池壳等领域,对其深冲性能及表面质量要求极为苛刻[1]
由于连铸生产的连续性,不可避免地出现开浇、停浇、漏钢预报警、换钢包和更换浸入式水口等情况,此类情况下钢水液面、拉速、流场均可能出现波动,进而引起较为严重的卷渣和吸气行为,这将对IF钢连铸坯的洁净度产生严重的影响。现今,为保证产品质量稳定,各钢厂通常将非稳态工艺产生的铸坯进行降级或报废的处理,而此方法采用会造成铸坯的“错判”或“漏判”,导致产品成材率下降,影响企业生产成本。作者重点对稀土钢板材公司超低碳钢头坯不同长度位置的质量变化规律进行研究,为后续铸坯质量评级判定、优化切割定尺和相应措施的采取提供了相关的参考依据。
稀土钢板材公司的IF钢生产流程为:KR法铁水预处理装置→240 t顶底复吹转炉→260 t RH真空精炼炉→连铸。采用立弯式板坯连铸机进行浇注,断面规格为230 mm×1 400 mm,正常拉速为1.2~1.3 m/min,中间包内钢水过热度为30~45 ℃。中间包钢水实测熔炼化学成分平均值和企业质量计划内控要求值见表1
连铸开浇时,切取6 m铸坯下线。如图1所示,从头坯头部起,沿拉坯方向每隔1 m切取一块80 mm低倍坯样,共计取5块,另取1块正常稳态坯试样做比对。后续在每块坯样边部、宽度1/4处内弧侧1/4部位和宽度1/2处中心部位分别切取气体样(Φ5 mm×5 mm粒状样)和金相样(20 mm×20 mm×20 mm),具体取样位置见图2
依据YB/T 2012—2014《连续铸钢板坯》[2],对分切取样前的头坯表面和皮下质量进行质检判定。利用铣磨一体机床对分切低倍试样进行磨光加工,为避开切割热影响区,要求加工深度大于25 mm,检验面粗糙度Ra≤0.8 μm,经H-2冷酸试剂腐蚀后依据YB/T 4003—2016《连铸钢板坯低倍组织缺陷评级图》评级[3];使用氧氮分析仪对氧、氮含量检测,其中氧含量采用GB/T 11261—2006[4]分析,氮含量检测采用GB/T 20124—2006[5];利用奥林巴斯倒置显微镜,将经过粗磨、细磨(6道砂纸)和抛光的金相试样进行观察并统计夹杂物的数量和尺寸;采用扫描电镜及能谱分析对夹杂物组成及形态进行检验。
经对头坯表面质量检查,发现距头部0.3 m内有3处表面夹渣缺陷,距头部约1.6 m区域内存在紊乱深振痕。通过对头坯表面氧化铁皮进行深度约0.5 mm手工火焰清理,观察到除距头部约1.5 m内有皮下气泡聚集外(见图3),其余均为深度小于3 mm零星微小皮下针孔缺陷,且此类针孔缺陷在热轧加热过程中绝大部分会伴随产生的氧化铁皮被氧化烧损,对产品质量基本无影响。根据振痕变化规律和皮下气泡分布,分析认为由开浇扰动液位不稳定和拉速波动等造成铸坯卷渣和皮下气泡缺陷的产生。
因钢种和产品对应的用途不同,所以对连铸坯的中心缺陷提出不同要求。若IF钢的中心缺陷不满足使用条件,会使轧材钢带沿着厚度方向力学性能变差,尤其是冲击韧性不合格造成产品冲压开裂。从表2可知,除距头部1 m试样的心部1/2区域有长120 mm中心疏松2.0级外,其余低倍试样检验结果均满足中心偏析小于C类1.0级、中心疏松小于1.0级内控要求。分析认为首炉钢水过热度高和开浇头坯相对二冷强度高,造成铸坯表面与凝固前沿温度梯度大,有利于柱状晶生长,容易形成局部搭桥或穿晶结构,导致中心疏松加重。
钢中的氧在固体状态下是以氧化物夹杂的形式存在,因此钢中全氧含量可以作为评价钢水洁净度的一项重要指标。钢中氧含量的变化能反映顶渣传氧、夹杂物上浮、空气氧化、耐火材料污染等各项因素共同作用下对钢水洁净度的影响。钢中氮含量则反映出钢水与空气接触二次氧化的程度。如果钢中氮含量过高,还会影响IF钢的深冲性能[6]
图4图5分别为氧氮两种元素沿着头坯拉坯方向和宽度方向的分布情况,其中在宽度方向两种元素分布相对均匀,铸坯边部、宽度1/4和中心部位无明显的偏析现象;而在拉坯长度方向两种元素的含量均呈下降趋势,从4 m以后逐步接近正常稳态坯检测值,氧含量为0.001 2%,氮含量为0.001 0%。综合分析认为,开浇首炉钢水由于受到大气二次氧化、引流砂进入钢中、拉速变化和结晶器液面波动等因素的影响,会造成头坯氧、氮等元素含量升高和夹杂物增加,随着浇注过程的进行,其干扰因素的减少且拉速处于平稳,氧、氮等元素含量相应降低。
采用传统“数夹杂”的方法,对6组不同位置共36个金相试样进行观察(含1组正常稳态坯对比样)。每个金相试样在100倍显微镜下观察约650个视场,并统计单位面积每组试样的夹杂物平均数量。
图6可以看出,头坯中随着铸坯长度的增加,单位面积内尺寸小于50 μm夹杂物数量逐渐减少,且5 m以后夹杂物数量与正常稳态坯试样检测值0.21个/mm2相近。
通过扫描电镜与能谱检测,发现头坯中夹杂物以Al2O3、TiN和Al2O3-TiN的复合夹杂为主。分析夹杂物来源:
(1)IF钢为铝镇静钢,Al2O3夹杂物尺寸较小,一般在10 μm以内,数量众多,以颗粒状存在,分析认为以钢中未能及时上浮而滞留的脱氧产物为主,见图7
(2)TiN夹杂物尺寸偏小,通常在2~5 μm,基本是以立方体存在,见图8。TiN夹杂物在钢液中不容易生成,只有在凝固过程中由于温度降低使TiN在钢中过饱和度降低,外加Ti在凝固前沿的偏析程度加重最终导致直接析出[7];根据反应式(1)可知[8],开浇钢水与空气接触过程吸氮严重,会导致钢水凝固过程中正向反应,使TiN夹杂物数量增加。

(3)Al2O3-TiN复合夹杂物一般尺寸较小,多数在5 μm以下且在钢中大量分布。此类复合型夹杂物心部是细小的Al2O3,外围多是方形TiN,少数为多边形TiN,见图9。说明复合夹杂物是以Al2O3的异质形核为中心,在Al2O3基础上钢中的Ti和N形成TiN并长大。
大型夹杂物对IF钢的深冲性能和表面质量均有很大危害,参考文献[6]认为超深冲汽车钢板铸坯中有害夹杂物“临界尺寸”为100 μm。经金相观察、扫描电镜与能谱分析,发现铸坯距头部1 m的区域存在球状和不规则状的Al2O3-MgO-CaO大型复合夹杂物,最大尺寸约300 μm,见图10图11。分析认为可能来源于脱氧产物和耐材的反应产物。
根据实际生产情况,IF钢头坯在正常投入轧制后容易出现皮下夹杂缺陷并且沿铸坯拉坯方向逐渐减少。经统计,将钢板缺陷位置折算成对应铸坯长度,一般距头部3.5 m以外的铸坯质量相对稳定。同时,通过扫描电镜和能谱分析,皮下夹杂缺陷主要来源于脱氧产物Al2O3类和结晶器液位波动卷渣类,见图12图13
依据同行业钢厂经验和参照相关文献资料,皮下夹杂主要分布在铸坯厚度3~10 mm位置,采取手工火焰清理工艺可以大幅减少连铸坯表层夹渣缺陷,有效提高连铸坯轧制钢带质量[9-10]。对头坯5 m区域进行深度3~5 mm四面扒皮手工清理处置,过程要求多条平行清理,每条宽度控制30~50 mm,并且衔接枪位需压枪在上一枪清理条宽的1/4~1/2处;铸坯角部和表面圆滑过渡,每枪之间要衔接良好,不得有陡峭的深坑等。经统计分析2021年1—12月热卷钢带数据,头坯轧制皮下缺陷率由原先平均13.14%下降到8.55%,降幅约35%,效果明显。
(1)头坯表面质量和皮下气泡均沿铸坯长度增加逐步改善,当长度大于1.6 m后基本趋于稳定。
(2)头坯中心疏松级别在铸坯长度1 m处存在超标现象,而中心偏析未见异常。
(3)头坯中氧、氮含量均沿铸坯长度的增加呈降低趋势,并且长度大于4 m后与正常稳态坯的水平接近。
(4)头坯中夹杂物数量随着铸坯长度的增加呈减少趋势,并且在长度5 m处达到正常稳态坯的水平;夹杂物组成主要为Al2O3、TiN和Al2O3-TiN的复合夹杂物,且在头坯1 m处发现大型Al2O3-MgO-CaO复合夹杂物,最大尺寸约300 μm。
(5)头坯轧制钢板产品缺陷主要为脱氧产物Al2O3类和结晶器液位波动卷渣类皮下夹杂,一般产生于距铸坯头部3.5 m以内,通过采取人工火焰扒皮清理工艺,可有效改善头坯质量。
