The armco iron requires the manganese content in steel to be controlled within 0.005%. In order to study the smelting process for low manganese steel, the thermodynamic and dynamic conditions of demanganization reaction are analyzed. The study showed that the lower the temperature of liquid steel was, the higher the oxidizability of slag and oxygen content in steel were as well as the lower the manganese oxide content in slag was, the easier the oxidation reaction of manganese was. When the manganese content in liquid iron is 0.040%~0.055%, the end point carbon content of liquid steel in converter after bessemerizing is controlled at 0.025%~0.035% and final temperature is controlled below 1 620 ℃ so that residual manganese content in liquid steel could be reduced to 0.04%~0.08%. The demanganization rate of liquid steel increases with the quantity of converter slag increases. Without the deoxidation during tapping of converter, the liquid steel and slag in ladle would maintain higher oxidizability. During the refining process in ladle furnace(LF), the manganese content in steel could be reduced by 32% on average and decreasing amplitude is 0.01~0.04 percentage points. The manganese content in steel could be reduced steadily within 0.05% with the combined demanganization processes of converter and LF.

工业纯铁要求钢中锰含量控制在0.005%以内,为了研究低锰钢冶炼工艺,对脱锰反应的热力学和动力学条件进行了分析。研究表明,钢水温度越低、炉渣氧化性越高、钢水氧含量越高、炉渣中氧化锰含量越低则锰的氧化反应越容易进行。当铁水锰含量在0.040%~0.055%时,将转炉吹炼后钢水终点碳含量控制在0.025%~0.035%,终点温度控制在1 620 ℃以下,可将钢水残锰含量降低到0.04%~0.08%。钢水脱锰率随着转炉渣量的增加而升高。转炉出钢过程中不对钢水进行脱氧处理,钢包中的钢水和炉渣保持较高氧化性,在LF精炼处理过程中,可以使钢中锰含量平均降低32%,降幅为0.01~0.04个百分点。采用转炉和LF炉联合脱锰工艺,可稳定地将钢中锰含量降低到0.05%以内。

工业纯铁要求钢中锰含量控制在0.005%以内,为了研究低锰钢冶炼工艺,对脱锰反应的热力学和动力学条件进行了分析。研究表明,钢水温度越低、炉渣氧化性越高、钢水氧含量越高、炉渣中氧化锰含量越低则锰的氧化反应越容易进行。当铁水锰含量在0.040%~0.055%时,将转炉吹炼后钢水终点碳含量控制在0.025%~0.035%,终点温度控制在1 620 ℃以下,可将钢水残锰含量降低到0.04%~0.08%。钢水脱锰率随着转炉渣量的增加而升高。转炉出钢过程中不对钢水进行脱氧处理,钢包中的钢水和炉渣保持较高氧化性,在LF精炼处理过程中,可以使钢中锰含量平均降低32%,降幅为0.01~0.04个百分点。采用转炉和LF炉联合脱锰工艺,可稳定地将钢中锰含量降低到0.05%以内。

The armco iron requires the manganese content in steel to be controlled within 0.005%. In order to study the smelting process for low manganese steel, the thermodynamic and dynamic conditions of demanganization reaction are analyzed. The study showed that the lower the temperature of liquid steel was, the higher the oxidizability of slag and oxygen content in steel were as well as the lower the manganese oxide content in slag was, the easier the oxidation reaction of manganese was. When the manganese content in liquid iron is 0.040%~0.055%, the end point carbon content of liquid steel in converter after bessemerizing is controlled at 0.025%~0.035% and final temperature is controlled below 1 620 ℃ so that residual manganese content in liquid steel could be reduced to 0.04%~0.08%. The demanganization rate of liquid steel increases with the quantity of converter slag increases. Without the deoxidation during tapping of converter, the liquid steel and slag in ladle would maintain higher oxidizability. During the refining process in ladle furnace(LF), the manganese content in steel could be reduced by 32% on average and decreasing amplitude is 0.01~0.04 percentage points. The manganese content in steel could be reduced steadily within 0.05% with the combined demanganization processes of converter and LF.

锰主要作为脱氧剂和合金化元素加入钢中,通常是钢中的有益元素。而对于稀土永磁材料用工业纯铁产品,锰盐类夹杂物将使磁材的“剩磁”降低,影响磁性能[1],因此要求钢中的锰含量越低越好,高品质工业纯铁要求钢中锰含量低于0.05%。通常需要采用锰含量低于0.20%的铁水来生产工业纯铁,或通过铁水预脱锰来降低铁水锰含量[2]。为开发工业纯铁产品,针对锰含量高的铁水,对炼钢脱锰反应的冶金热力学和动力学基础理论进行了分析,优化了转炉冶炼工艺,开发了LF炉脱锰技术,实现了低锰钢的批量化生产。
炼钢过程中,钢中的锰只能通过氧化形成氧化锰进入炉渣来脱除,锰的氧化反应如下:

由以上反应式可知,钢水中锰氧化与温度、炉渣氧化性、钢水氧含量、渣中氧化锰含量有关,钢水温度越低、炉渣氧化性越高、钢水氧含量越高、炉渣中氧化锰含量越低则锰的氧化反应越容易进行。
锰的氧化产物是碱性氧化物,在吹炼前期形成MnO·SiO2,随着渣中CaO含量的增加,会发生如下反应:
(MnO SiO 2 )+(CaO)=(CaO SiO 2 )+(MnO)
炉渣中MnO呈自由状态,吹炼后期炉温升高,MnO被还原,反应如下:

( MnO ) + [ Fe ] = ( FeO ) + [ Mn ] Δ G 0 = 174   314 77.49 T   J/mol
从而导致冶炼末期钢水回锰。
为提高钢水脱锰率并减少回锰,炉渣应保持相对低的碱度,终点碳含量应尽可能低,钢水应具有较高的氧化性。锰的氧化是放热反应,为减少氧化锰的还原应控制较低的钢水温度。
在转炉冶炼过程中,锰发生氧化反应形成氧化锰进入炉渣,钢中的锰得到脱除。在脱锰反应中有以下限制性环节:
(1)氧向钢渣界面的传输速度;
(2)锰向钢渣界面的传输速度;
(3)钢渣界面的化学反应速度;
(4)脱氧产物向钢渣中的扩散速度。
在转炉冶炼过程中,氧向钢渣界面的传递主要是通过间接传氧的方式,因此炉渣中FeO含量以及钢渣接触面积决定了传氧的速度,炉渣保持高氧化性、控制炉渣乳化程度增大钢渣接触面积可以加速传氧。在反应初期,由于钢中锰含量较高,所以环节(2)不是反应限制性环节。在高温下,锰的氧化可以剧烈进行,反应速度主要与钢渣界面积有关。脱氧产物氧化锰向渣中的扩散与钢渣反应界面积、渣中氧化锰浓度、渣量等有关。
因此从动力学角度,钢水和炉渣接触面积越大,锰的氧化速度越快,因此要保证炉渣的发泡性和流动性,提高反应速度。
工业纯铁冶炼工艺路线为:KR铁水预脱硫→LF精炼→RH精炼。铁水化学成分范围见表1
铁水硅含量变化范围比较大,磷含量较高,锰含量在0.35%~0.65%的较高范围,对于冶炼锰含量低于0.05%的工业纯铁是比较困难的。
入转炉铁水锰含量与转炉冶炼残锰含量的关系如图1所示,铁水锰含量越低,转炉冶炼后的钢水残余锰含量也越低[3],工业纯铁生产应使用锰含量尽可能低的铁水。
当铁水锰含量在0.40%~0.55%范围时,转炉冶炼很难将钢水锰含量控制在0.05%以下,需要根据脱锰反应的热力学及动力学条件优化冶炼工艺。根据脱锰反应的热力学条件分析,钢水温度低、氧含量高以及高氧化性炉渣是钢水脱锰反应的有利条件,因此转炉冶炼过程要控制较低的钢水终点温度,并保持钢水和炉渣的高氧化性。在出钢过程中钢水温度下降,如果能使钢水和炉渣保持高氧化性,那对于钢水脱锰反应的热力学条件是有利的。因此设计了BOF+LF的脱锰工艺路线,出钢过程中钢水不脱氧,在LF精炼造渣,在钢水和炉渣高氧化性条件下,使脱锰反应在钢水精炼过程中能够继续进行,以进一步降低钢水锰含量。
通过增加供氧量降低吹炼终点碳含量提高钢水氧含量,控制氧枪高枪位和增加氧化铁皮用量来提高炉渣氧化性,通过增加废钢比和渣量降低终点钢水温度,有利于降低钢水锰含量。终点碳含量与锰含量的关系如图2所示,钢水终点碳含量越低则钢中残余锰含量越低。
终点碳含量越低,转炉钢水脱锰率越高,当碳含量在0.03%以下时,出钢锰含量在0.035%以下,脱锰率最高在95%左右,如图3所示。
终点氧含量越高,钢中残余锰含量越低,见图4,钢水脱锰率越高,见图5。终点氧含量在0.11%左右时,脱锰率达到最大,约为95%左右,钢中残锰含量约为0.02%。当氧含量继续提高时,钢水锰含量不再降低,脱锰率也不再提高。
随着终点钢水氧含量增加,炉渣的氧化性也在增加,有利于钢水脱锰反应的进行。如图6所示,转炉终点氧含量与炉渣氧化性变化规律是一致的,炉渣氧化性的提高有利于抑制渣中MnO的还原。根据反应式(2),采用终点高枪位控制、减弱底吹、加入氧化铁皮球或者增加点吹次数等措施提高炉渣氧化性[4],可以提高钢水脱锰效果,并抑制炉渣回锰。
转炉终点温度对锰含量的实际影响不是很明显[5],见图7,这是因为温度对残锰含量影响比较复杂。从热力学角度看,锰的氧化是放热反应,低温有利于钢水脱锰,但是温度高往往对应着钢水氧含量高、碳含量低,这又是有利于减少钢水回锰的。
转炉终点碳含量控制在0.020%~0.030%,终点温度控制在1 620 ℃以下,有利于降低钢水残锰含量,转炉冶炼后钢水残锰含量可以降低到0.04%~0.08%。
提高转炉渣量,可以降低炉渣中氧化锰的含量,同时炉渣乳化后可以加大钢渣界面面积,促进钢水脱锰。造渣料用量与钢水脱锰率的关系如图8所示,随着造渣料用量的增加,减少渣中自由态MnO含量,从而减少MnO还原进入钢水,使钢水脱锰率提高。
工业纯铁在出钢过程中,钢水不需进行脱氧处理,在LF精炼过程继续进行脱锰处理。LF钢水进站温度为1 530~1 565 ℃,加入白灰、化渣剂、改质剂造渣,渣量为3.5~4.5 t。炉渣碱度为5.0~6.5,FeO含量为15%~21%。为促进钢渣反应,炉渣要保持良好的流动性,加热过程中钢包底吹氩气促进钢渣间反应。LF精炼处理后可以使钢中锰含量平均降低32%,降幅为0.01~0.04个百分点,见图9
经LF脱锰处理后,钢水锰含量可以稳定控制在0.05%以下,最低达到0.02%,转炉和LF炉综合脱锰率为88%~95%。
对于硅含量大于0.6%的铁水,转炉采用双渣法冶炼,并增大渣量,控制终渣碱度在2.5左右,不但有利于脱除钢液中的磷,同时可以将吹炼前期进入炉渣的氧化锰一并倒出,可以大幅度降低炉渣中MnO含量,避免或减少转炉冶炼后期从炉渣中还原氧化锰,降低钢水出钢时锰含量[6]
(1)转炉终点碳含量在0.025%~0.035%,提高钢水和炉渣氧化氛围,出钢温度低于1 620 ℃,并适当增加渣量,有利于钢水脱锰反应。
(2)转炉采用双渣法冶炼,可以大幅度降低终渣中氧化锰含量,有利于低锰钢的冶炼。
(3)转炉出钢时钢水不脱氧,保持钢水和炉渣高氧化性,在LF继续脱锰,钢水锰含量可以再降低0.01~0.04个百分点。
(4)采用转炉和LF精炼联合脱锰工艺,实现了使用锰含量为0.40%~0.55%的铁水批量生产锰含量低于0.05%的低锰钢,满足高纯工业纯铁对钢水锰含量的要求。
