In this article, the low temperature performances of 60 kg/m as-hot-rolled U71Mn and U75V rails as well as U71MnH and U75VH rails after on-line heat treatment produced by Baotou Steel are studied. The relation between the toughness and temperature of different rails in low temperature environment is studied through impact test and test for fracture toughness of rails in the low temperature environment created in the laboratory. It is elaborated the performance indexes of safe service for rails of Baotou Steel in low temperature environment and summarized the relations of toughness indexes for four types of rail products of Baotou Steel in low temperature environment, which provide the data support for selecting rails in plateau and low temperature regions as well as safe operations of railway system in extremely cold environment.

文章对包钢生产的60 kg/m热轧态U71Mn、U75V钢轨和在线热处理后U71MnH、U75VH钢轨进行低温性能研究,通过实验室制造的低温环境,进行钢轨冲击试验、断裂韧性试验,研究低温环境下不同钢轨韧性与温度的关系。阐明低温环境下包钢钢轨安全服役性能指标,总结了包钢四种钢轨产品在低温环境下韧性指标关系,为高原地区、低温地区的钢轨选用及高寒环境下铁路系统的安全运行提供数据支持。

In this article, the low temperature performances of 60 kg/m as-hot-rolled U71Mn and U75V rails as well as U71MnH and U75VH rails after on-line heat treatment produced by Baotou Steel are studied. The relation between the toughness and temperature of different rails in low temperature environment is studied through impact test and test for fracture toughness of rails in the low temperature environment created in the laboratory. It is elaborated the performance indexes of safe service for rails of Baotou Steel in low temperature environment and summarized the relations of toughness indexes for four types of rail products of Baotou Steel in low temperature environment, which provide the data support for selecting rails in plateau and low temperature regions as well as safe operations of railway system in extremely cold environment.

随着我国铁路运营里程的增加,包钢钢轨逐渐在高原、极寒地区大范围铺设,该地区线路部分地段常年平均气温在0 ℃以下,最低气温达-60 ℃左右。钢轨材料在低温条件下力学性能变差,容易发生脆性破坏,低温服役工况下钢轨材料的损伤问题变得日益显著,直接威胁着铁路运输的安全[1-2]。因此,钢轨在低温环境下材料的基础力学性能与线路钢轨选用,是生产厂和用户亟需研究解决的关键问题之一。为了保证钢轨在线路安全服役,深入系统地开展包钢钢轨材料在低温环境下力学性能研究,建立钢轨韧性与温度的关系,对减缓高寒地区包钢钢轨损伤是十分有必要的。
试验用钢轨为运行速度小于200 km/h的普速钢轨,钢轨生产工艺路线为:铁水预处理→转炉冶炼→LF精炼→VD真空处理→连铸→加热→轧制→在线热处理(淬火轨生产)→矫直→探伤→加工→检查→入库。钢轨的化学成分、力学性能见表1
在TB/T 2344—2020标准[3]要求中,只针对钢轨的断裂韧性KIC提出了-20 ℃下性能要求,其余力学性能要求均为常温状态下,且未对钢轨冲击韧性提出要求。本文通过人工制造低温环境,在室温(20 ℃)、0 ℃、-20 ℃、-40 ℃、-60 ℃五个温度下,对包钢生产的60 kg/m U71Mn、U71MnH、U75V、U75VH四种钢轨进行低温韧性检测分析,得到四种钢轨在低温环境下的冲击韧性指标。
冲击韧性是指材料在冲击载荷作用下吸收塑性变形功和断裂功的能力,反映材料内部的细微缺陷和抗冲击性能,其中常用的试样缺口形式为U型和V型,U型缺口冲击功大部分消耗于裂纹的形成,V型缺口冲击功大部分消耗于裂纹的扩展[4]。试验在室温(20 ℃)、0 ℃、-20 ℃、-40 ℃、-60 ℃五个温度下,对四种钢轨的轨头、轨腰、轨底分别进行U型和V型缺口冲击功和冲击断口对比分析。

不同缺口形式、不同温度下钢轨轨头冲击功平均值见表2,冲击功对比曲线见图3图4
表2图3图4可知,随着试验温度的降低,钢轨轨头U型缺口冲击韧性和轨头V型缺口冲击韧性均呈现降低趋势。其中,低温环境下,轨头U型缺口冲击韧性大小排序为U71MnH、U75VH、U71Mn、U75V,-60 ℃时,U71MnH(U型)冲击功可达11 J左右,U75V(U型)冲击功在6.3 J左右;轨头V型缺口冲击韧性大小排序为U71MnH、U75VH、U71Mn、U75V,-60 ℃时,U71MnH(V型)冲击功可达6.3 J左右,U75V(V型)冲击功在3.7 J左右,两种缺口形式下钢轨低温冲击韧性高低趋势相同,且低温条件下在线热处理态钢轨冲击韧性约为热轧态的1.5倍左右。比较钢轨不同生产状态,在线热处理态钢轨具有更高的低温冲击韧性。
选用四种钢轨不同温度下U型缺口典型冲击断口进行对比分析,由于冲击韧性大小由钢轨断裂过程和裂纹扩展过程所决定,所以选择扩展区域断口进行对比分析,见图5图6图7图8
对四种钢轨在不同温度下U型缺口冲击断口进行扫描电镜分析可知,随着试验温度降低,钢轨冲击断口呈现为解理断裂的显著特征,即表现为典型的脆性断裂破坏。U71MnH、U75VH钢轨在高于-20 ℃时,冲击断口存在少量的韧窝和撕裂棱,这表明U71MnH、U75VH钢轨在高于-20 ℃的条件下,还具有部分塑性变形能力,当温度低于-40 ℃时,冲击断口基本没有韧窝和撕裂棱,而其断口线条的形状主要以解理台阶和河流花纹为主,塑性变形极小,基本为解理断裂,即典型的脆性断口,且钢轨低温冲击断口还出现明显二次裂纹,这也是造成冲击韧性降低的主要原因之一。U71Mn、U75V钢轨试验温度在高于0 ℃时,冲击断口存在少量的韧窝和撕裂棱,当温度低于-20 ℃时,冲击断口基本没有韧窝和撕裂棱,而其断口线条的形状主要以解理台阶和河流花纹为主的解理脆性断口,且钢轨断口也存在明显的二次裂纹。
总体来说,在U型缺口形式下四种钢轨冲击韧性与温度的关系存在相同的变化趋势,即随着温度的降低,断口少量的韧窝和撕裂棱消失,断口最终全部为解理台阶和河流花纹为主的解理脆性断口,且钢轨断口也存在明显的二次裂纹。但钢轨状态不同,冲击断口全部为脆性断口出现的温度也不同,U71MnH、U75VH约在-20 ℃,U71Mn、U75V钢轨约在0 ℃。

表3图9图10可知,随着温度的降低,钢轨轨腰U型缺口冲击韧性和轨腰V型缺口冲击韧性均呈现线性降低趋势。其中,低温环境下,轨腰U型缺口冲击韧性大小排序为U71Mn、U75VH、U71MnH、U75V,-60 ℃时,U71Mn(U型)冲击功可达7.7 J左右,U75V(U型)冲击功在4.3 J左右;轨腰V型缺口冲击韧性大小排序为U71MnH、U75VH、U71Mn、U75V,-60 ℃时,U71MnH(V型)冲击功可达4.1 J左右,U75V(V型)冲击功在3.7 J左右,两种缺口形式下钢轨低温冲击韧性高低趋势有所不同。由于冲击韧性对夹杂物较为敏感,钢轨轨腰偏析程度、夹杂物含量较高,所以轨腰冲击韧性较低,且规律性差。

表4图11图12可知,随着温度的降低,钢轨轨底U型缺口冲击韧性和轨底V型缺口冲击韧性均呈现线性降低趋势。其中,低温环境下,轨底U型缺口冲击韧性大小排序为U71MnH、U75VH、U71Mn、U75V,-60 ℃时,U71MnH(U型)冲击功可达8.6 J左右,U75V(U型)冲击功在4.7 J左右;轨底V型缺口冲击韧性大小排序为U71MnH、U75VH、U71Mn、U75V,-60 ℃时,U71MnH(V型)冲击功可达5.5 J左右,U75V(V型)冲击功在4.0 J左右,两种缺口形式下钢轨低温冲击韧性高低趋势相同,且低温条件下在线热处理态钢轨U型缺口冲击韧性约为热轧态的1.5倍左右。比较钢轨不同生产状态,在线热处理态钢轨具有更高的低温冲击韧性。
对钢轨轨头、轨腰、轨底进行U型缺口冲击韧性对比分析,见图13图14图15图16
图13图16可知,四种钢轨不同位置冲击韧性总体来说,U型缺口低温冲击韧性大小排序为轨头、轨底、轨腰。在不同试验温度条件下,热轧态钢轨各位置的冲击韧性波动较大,线性关系不明显;在线热处理态的钢轨轨头、轨腰、轨底的冲击韧性区别更加明显,且线性关系较为明显。
断裂韧性是材料抵抗脆性破坏的韧性参数,在加载速度和温度一定的条件下是一个常数,它和裂纹本身的大小、形状及外加应力大小无关,是材料固有的特性,只与材料本身、热处理及加工工艺有关[5]。针对低温地区用钢轨,评判其低温断裂韧性是不可或缺的,钢轨的断裂韧性KIC是作为评判钢轨在线路安全服役的重要性能指标之一。在室温(20 ℃)、0 ℃、-20 ℃、-40 ℃、-60 ℃五个温度下,进行钢轨轨头断裂韧性KIC性能对比分析。钢轨低温断裂韧性KIC试验在MTS试验机上进行,低温环境采用液氮进行降温冷却,采用保温箱对试样进行保温处理,试样冷却时间不少于20 min,试验过程中环境温度偏离预设值不能超过±5 ℃。钢轨断裂韧性试样取样位置及加工尺寸见图17
为了便于试验数据对比分析,对四种钢轨不同温度下低温断裂韧性试验结果,取3-5个求平均值,钢轨低温断裂韧性KIC平均值见表5,低温断裂韧性KIC对比曲线见图18
表5图18可知,随着试验温度的降低,四种钢轨的断裂韧性KIC均呈下降的趋势。对比U71Mn、U71MnH、U75V、U75VH钢轨断裂韧性随着温度变化趋势可知,U71Mn、U75V钢轨断裂韧性KIC值随温度下降幅度更加明显,而U71MnH、U75VH钢轨轨断裂韧性KIC下降趋势较为平缓,说明热轧态钢轨断裂韧性对温度较为敏感,而热处理态钢轨对温度的敏感性相对较小。当试验温度大于等于0 ℃时,热轧态钢轨断裂韧性值高于热处理态钢轨;当试验温度小于等于-40 ℃时,热处理态钢轨则体现出了较高的断裂韧性,KIC小幅度高于热轧态钢轨。在线控制冷却可以使钢轨晶粒细化、片层间距减小,对提高钢轨低温性能有着重要的影响。
(1)包钢生产的60 kg/m U71Mn、U71MnH、U75V、U75VH四种钢轨冲击韧性随着试验温度的降低而降低。四种钢轨低温冲击韧性大小排序为U71MnH、U75VH、U71Mn、U75V。四种钢轨不同位置低温韧性大小排序为轨头、轨底、轨腰。
(2)对比不同生产状态钢轨,在线热处理态的钢轨有更好的低温冲击韧性,低温条件下在线热处理态钢轨冲击韧性约为热轧态的1.5倍左右;对比不同钢种的性能指标,U71Mn比U75V具有更好的低温冲击韧性。
(3)U71MnH、U75VH钢轨在温度高于-20 ℃,U71Mn、U75V钢轨温度高于0 ℃时,冲击断口存在少量的韧窝和撕裂棱,具有部分塑性变形能力。U71MnH、U75VH钢轨温度低于-40 ℃,U71Mn、U75V钢轨温度低于-20 ℃时,其断口线条的形状主要以解理台阶和河流花纹为主,塑性变形极小,基本为解理断裂脆性断口,且断口存在明显的二次裂纹。
(4)随着试验温度的降低,四种钢轨的断裂韧性KIC均呈下降的趋势,U71Mn、U75V钢轨断裂韧性随温度下降幅度更加明显,热轧态钢轨断裂韧性对温度较为敏感;U71MnH、U75VH钢轨断裂韧性下降趋势则较为平缓,热处理态钢轨断裂韧性对温度的敏感性相对较小。温度大于等于0 ℃时,热轧态钢轨断裂韧性值高于热处理态钢轨,温度小于等于-40 ℃时,热处理态钢轨断裂韧性值小幅度高于热轧态钢轨。
