In order to meet the demand for distributed joint timekeeping system, a remote time comparison system was de-signed, which includes satellite co-visibility, satellite bi-directional, and fiber bi-directional time comparison means. The domestic equipment used in the system has the same time comparison accuracy as imported equipment, achieving high-precision clock differ-ence measurement between laboratories using multiple means. The relative zero value calibration of the time comparison equipment was completed using a mobile calibration station, and a 20-day time comparison was conducted between laboratories that were 50 km apart. The experimental results show that the mean clock difference measured by the three comparison means at the two locations is less than 1 ns, the trend is the same, and the amplitude is similar, and all can accurately measure the clock difference between the two locations.

为了实现分布式联合守时系统建立需求,设计了远程时间比对系统,包含卫星共视、卫星双向和光纤双向三种时间比对手段,系统内使用的国产化设备比对精度与进口设备相当,实现了实验室间多手段、高精度钟差测量。使用移动校准站完成了时间比对设备相对零值校准,在相距50 km的实验室间开展长达20天的时间比对,试验结果表明,三种比对手段测量得到两地钟差均值相差小于1 ns,变化趋势相同,变化幅度相近,均可以准确测量得到两地钟差。

为了实现分布式联合守时系统建立需求,设计了远程时间比对系统,包含卫星共视、卫星双向和光纤双向三种时间比对手段,系统内使用的国产化设备比对精度与进口设备相当,实现了实验室间多手段、高精度钟差测量。使用移动校准站完成了时间比对设备相对零值校准,在相距50 km的实验室间开展长达20天的时间比对,试验结果表明,三种比对手段测量得到两地钟差均值相差小于1 ns,变化趋势相同,变化幅度相近,均可以准确测量得到两地钟差。

In order to meet the demand for distributed joint timekeeping system, a remote time comparison system was de-signed, which includes satellite co-visibility, satellite bi-directional, and fiber bi-directional time comparison means. The domestic equipment used in the system has the same time comparison accuracy as imported equipment, achieving high-precision clock differ-ence measurement between laboratories using multiple means. The relative zero value calibration of the time comparison equipment was completed using a mobile calibration station, and a 20-day time comparison was conducted between laboratories that were 50 km apart. The experimental results show that the mean clock difference measured by the three comparison means at the two locations is less than 1 ns, the trend is the same, and the amplitude is similar, and all can accurately measure the clock difference between the two locations.

随着国内原子钟技术发展,我国守时系统的守时能力在国际原子时归算占据了一定权重,从国际计量局公布的月报中可以看出,我国守时系统在频率稳定度、时间稳定度等性能指标上已与国外先进守时实验室水平相当,我国世界协调时(Universal Time Coordinated, UTC)与UTC时间偏差优于±5 ns[1]。国内守时实验室钟组一般由氢原子钟和铯原子钟组成,其中包含大量国产原子钟。为了整合国内原子钟资源,建立统一的标准时间,急需精度高、稳定度好的国产化时间比对手段,构建异地分布式联合守时系统,产生我国独立自主的时间基准。
分布式联合守时架构是通过部署在异地的守时实验室以时间比对手段共同产生和维持一个准确度、稳定度和可靠性更高的时间尺度。分布式联合守时架构具备两方面的优势,一方面由于部分守时实验室钟组规模较小,原子钟性能较差,难以产生和保持准确稳定的时间尺度,通过整合异地多个守时实验室的原子钟钟差数据,共同参与到原子时计算过程中,产生统一综合的时间尺度,同时提高了实验室原子钟资源的利用率;另一方面可以为用时或其他守时实验室提供稳定且可靠的溯源参考,提高各个站点的时间尺度性能,同时可以为各站点输出的主钟物理信号提供一个稳定可靠的驾驭参考,提升主钟物理信号性能。
建立联合守时系统中高精度的远程时间比对手段尤为重要。国内外主流时间比对手段包括卫星共视时间比对、卫星双向时间比对和光纤双向时间比对,三种比对手段各有优点[2-5]。其中,国际计量局从20世纪80年代开始使用GPS共视时间比对方法用于UTC计算,该方法使用成本低,对传递链路无需求,需要使用地面网传递共视文件,比对结果具有一定延时性。随着北斗三号提供全球服务,张继海等开展了基于北斗三号导航系统的卫星共视时间比对应用研究,使用北斗三号新信号体制在亚欧两地共视比对的钟差噪声和稳定度相对北斗二号均有提升[6]。卫星双向时间比对方法使用地球同步轨道卫星转发器信道,具有比对距离可达几千公里、实时性好、抗电磁信号干扰、测量数据实时交互等优点,但硬件系统复杂,需要高昂成本的卫星资源作为传递链路。光纤双向时间比对方法建立在卫星双向时间比对基础上,使用光纤信道替代无线信道,具备受外界因素影响小、有线链路可靠性高、时间比对精度高等优点,近年来已作为数百公里范围内的主要时间传递手段。
绝大多数国际比对链路使用GPS系统实现远距离时间比对[1],随着北斗三号卫星导航系统的建立和完善,国内开展了基于北斗共视的时间频率传递的研究,并应用于国际和国内实验时间比对[7,8]。本文依托比对链路扩建项目,在国内守时实验室间建立多手段比对链路,使用国产化时间比对设备,基于北斗三号系统与自主伪随机码,实现了实验室间分布式联合守时,建立统一的时间基准。
卫星共视时间比对方法工作原理为各用户接收机同时观测相同导航卫星,通过数据处理得到本地时间与导航系统的时间差,生成标准CGGTTS共视文件,交换用户共视文件实现用户间相位相对偏差[9],原理示意图如图1所示。
测量得到本地时钟相对于GNSS系统钟差为:DT(t)=T(t)-TGNSS(t),其中,T(t)表示t时刻的本地时间,TGNSS(t)表示t时刻对应的GNSS系统参考时间。在相同时刻t,A、B两站分别与GNSS系统钟差为:
将以上两式作差,得到A、B两地钟差:

卫星双向时间比对的基本原理为:地面站A和地面站B在相同时刻发送测距信号,同时A、B两地时间间隔计数器开始计数,A站发出的测距信号经过通信卫星转发后被地面站B接收设备接收,同时会触发观测站B的时间间隔计数器结束计数,根据A、B两站的时间间隔计数器的读数得出A站测距信号到B站的传输时延。同样,A站可以得到B站至A站的观测信号传输时延。由于双向时间传递链路对称性,地面站间的传输时延被抵消,地面站设备延迟测量与校准后,可以实现纳秒量级的时间传递。计算可得地面站间钟差ΔTAB(t)为:
其中,ΔTA,ΔTB分别为地面站A和地面站B时间间隔计数器测量结果,为地面站A发射设备和接收设备传输时延,为地面站B发射设备和接收设备传输时延[10,11]。卫星双向时间比对原理如图2所示。
光纤双向时间比对方法通过单纤双向方式传递时间信号,同一根光纤解决了传递链路不对称性引起的误差,地面站A与地面站B间同时向对方传递以本站时钟为基准的测距信号,接收到测距信号获得两个传输时延值,将两个观测数据计算得到A站与B站的钟差[12,13],如图3所示。
假设A站测量得到的B站发射信号到A站的总时延为TBA,B站测量得到的A站发射信号到B站的总时延为TAB,A站和B站两地钟的瞬时钟差ΔT=TA-TBTA为A站发射测距信号时刻,TB为B站发射测距信号时刻,则
上式中,τA为A站时间信号发射单元、光纤发射单元(半导体激光器)的发射时延,为A站时间信号接收单元和光纤接收单元(光电探测器)的接收时延;同样τB分别为B站的接收和发射时延;τAB为时间信号由A站发送到B站的光纤链路单向传输时延;τBA为时间信号由B站发送到A站的光纤链路单向传输时延。
由式(4)、式(5)可得:
当A站和B站在同一时刻发送1PPS信号,由于传输路径相同且传输光信号波长接近,传输时延接近可近似相等,即τBAτAB,则有:
A站和B站通过交换测量数据TABTAB,发送时延和接收时延的差可通过设备零值标校进行测定,站间钟差ΔT就可计算得到。用式(4)来修正A、B两站原子钟之间的钟差,可使B站原子钟与A站原子钟相同步[5]
时间频率系统由原子钟分系统与时间比对分系统组成。
原子钟分系统包含原子钟、钟组合成器、多通道计数器、多通道比相仪、时频信号产生器等,该分系统可以对原子钟组的10 MHz信号和1 PPS脉冲信号进行测量比对,对各原子钟进行性能分析,建立各原子钟的模型,对原子钟钟差数据、相位比对数据、溯源比对数据进行处理,完成综合原子时的生成,依据综合原子时时间尺度信息,通过相位微跃计实现对主用氢原子钟的高稳定驾驭,如图4所示[14]
时间比对分系统包含卫星共视接收机、卫星双向时间比对设备、光纤双向时间比对设备,主要功能是利用高精度远程时频比对手段,建立本地原子钟组与其他守时实验室间的比对关系,可以将时间比对钟差上报给原子钟分系统,为系统时频信息的校准或调整提供依据,可实现多级时频系统溯源与分布式综合原子时建立。
时间比对设备零值校准是时间同步的关键技术,校准精度是决定时间比对精度的主要因素。针对时间比对设备的零值校准方法有两种:一种是设备绝对时延校准,共视时间比对设备主要时延是接收链路时延,由天线、馈线和接收机三部分组成,卫星双向时间比对设备关注的是设备内模块收发时延,常采用导航模拟器和模拟卫星转发器完成绝对时延校准;另一种是设备相对时延校准,该方法目的为获得时间比对设备间的相对时延差,无需各个单机的绝对时延进行测试,认为并址同源条件下在大气传输过程中引入的误差全部被抵消掉,解决了大尺寸反射面天线校准困难的问题,相对时延校准方法受参考设备稳定性与移动校准设备测量精度影响。本文采用移动校准站方式对卫星共视接收机和卫星双向比对设备进行相对零值校准,光纤双向比对设备使用同源零基线并址运行实现设备相对零值校准[15]
移动校准站由GNSS时间频率传递参考装置、时间间隔计数器、KVM显示控制装置、数据采集及处理装置组成。移动校准站首先在站址A并址运行一周,测得移动校准站与共视接收机A相位差XA,然后移动校准站在站址B并址运行一周,测得移动校准站与待校准共视接收机B相位差XB,以站址A为基准接收机,则共视接收机B校准值为XB-XA
图5所示,两套移动校准站分别部署在站址A与站址B,分别以本站内时频基准作为参考源与站内卫星双向比对设备进行并址运行,两套卫星双向比对设备测量得到两地钟差为T1,两套移动校准站测量得到两地钟差为T2(两套移动校准站已完成并址工作零值校准),以站址A为基准卫星双向比对设备,则卫星双向比对设备B相对校准值为T1-T2[16-18],如图6所示。
将光纤双向时间比对设备B搬到实验室A中与光纤双向比对设备A进行同源并址运行,使用光纤盘模拟实际光纤链路长度与衰减量。调整可调时延设备(调整范围-100 ns~100 ns)使10 MHz_B与1 PPS_B相位关系与光纤双向时间比对设备在实验室B中的相位关系一致[19],如图7所示。
光纤双向比对设备A与B得出钟差为测量值XC,使用计数器测量1 PPS_A与1 PPS_B的真实值XZ,使用测量值减真实值为设备相对零值XLXL=XC-XZ
在相距50 km的A、B两地实验室间开展时间比对测试,两实验室间具备卫星共视、卫星双向、光纤双向三条比对链路,时间比对设备完成零值校准后,实时测量两地实验室钟组产生的标准时间信号MC(A)和MC(B)。选取简化儒略日(MJD)为59 721-59 739(2022年5月22日-2022年6月9日)时间段内时间比对数据,卫星共视比对手段得出实验室A与实验室B钟差均值为-8.1 ns,如图8所示;卫星双向时间比对手段得出实验室A与实验室B钟差均值为-8.7 ns,如图9所示;光纤双向时间比对手段得出实验室A与实验室B钟差均值为-8.5 ns,如图10所示。通过比对结果曲线可得出,三种比对手段测得两地标准时间相位差MC(A)-MC(B)变化趋势相同,变化幅度相近,卫星共视、卫星双向和光纤双向比对钟差均值相差在1 ns内。实验结果表明:经过校准后的比对系统中三种比对手段均可以准确测量两地钟差,同时三种比对手段可实现融合互检,增强系统可靠性。
表1可以看出卫星共视时间比对不确定度为1.74 ns,在三种比对手段中精度相对较差,而且随站间距离的增大,受电离层对流层延迟误差等空间相关性降低,指标会进一步恶化,但其具备设备成本低、使用便捷、不依靠卫星转发器和光纤专线资源的优点;卫星双向时间比对不确定度为0.83 ns,该手段优势为实时性好,比对精度相对较高,但系统复杂,包含变频器、功放、低噪放与抛物面天线等信道设备,同时需要租赁卫星转发器进行信号传输;光纤双向时间比对不确定度为0.47 ns,该方法时间比对精度最高,而且光纤损耗低、抗电磁干扰、价格低,适用于城市内或城市间百公里量级时间比对链路,省际近千公里受限于光缆专线往往使用无线链路时间比对手段。针对不同使用场景需求,可选择对应时间比对方法。
本文中使用国产化卫星共视接收机、卫星双向时间比对设备、光纤双向时间比对设备进行时间比对,是国内首次使用三种比对手段同时在两守时实验室间进行时间比对,三种手段互相检验,为后续多手段比对融合处理打下基础。而且卫星共视北斗双频比对精度与进口共视接收机GPS双频性能相当,卫星双向时间比对精度优于1 ns,与国外主流时间比对调制解调器SATRE Modem比对精度相近,可以对进口时间比对设备进行国产化替代[20]
国内守时实验室钟组建设日渐完善,实验室间急需建立分布联合守时系统。使用国产自主时间比对设备在守时实验室间建立卫星共视、卫星双向、光纤双向三种比对链路,使用移动校准站完成时间比对设备校准,开展长期时间比对实验。实验结果表明,校准过程可以完成时间比对设备零值标校,校准后三种比对手段比对结果相差优于1 ns,均可以真实反映两地钟组相位偏差,实现异地钟差数据获取。
