To counteract the influence of the Earth's non-spherical perturbation, Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) satellites must periodically execute longitude drift control to maintain their position in the east-west direction. East-west station-keeping is typically achieved via pulse ignition. During this process for geostationary orbit satellites, continuous telecommand must be sent, severely restricting payload applications closely coupled with satellite telecommand. This paper devises a decentralized control approach for the east-west station-keeping of GEO satellites, constructs a mathematical model, formulates control strategies and implementation details, and validates the control effectiveness using two distinct types of in-orbit satellites. This method efficiently exploits fragmented resources during payload task intervals, enhancing the availability of satellite tracking, telemetry, and telecontrol command resources.

为了克服地球非球形摄动的影响,需要对地球静止轨道(GEO)卫星定期实施经度漂移控制来实现东西方向定点保持,即地球静止轨道卫星的东西位置保持控制,这通常通过脉冲点火的方式实施。在GEO卫星东西位置保持期间,需要不间断地对卫星实施遥控指令发送,这使得与卫星遥控紧耦合的载荷应用受限。本文设计了GEO卫星东西位置保持分散控制方法,建立了数学模型,制定了控制策略与实施要点,并利用两类不同的在轨卫星进行了控制效果的验证。该方法有效利用了载荷任务间隙的碎片化资源,提高了卫星测控资源可用度。

为了克服地球非球形摄动的影响,需要对地球静止轨道(GEO)卫星定期实施经度漂移控制来实现东西方向定点保持,即地球静止轨道卫星的东西位置保持控制,这通常通过脉冲点火的方式实施。在GEO卫星东西位置保持期间,需要不间断地对卫星实施遥控指令发送,这使得与卫星遥控紧耦合的载荷应用受限。本文设计了GEO卫星东西位置保持分散控制方法,建立了数学模型,制定了控制策略与实施要点,并利用两类不同的在轨卫星进行了控制效果的验证。该方法有效利用了载荷任务间隙的碎片化资源,提高了卫星测控资源可用度。

To counteract the influence of the Earth's non-spherical perturbation, Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) satellites must periodically execute longitude drift control to maintain their position in the east-west direction. East-west station-keeping is typically achieved via pulse ignition. During this process for geostationary orbit satellites, continuous telecommand must be sent, severely restricting payload applications closely coupled with satellite telecommand. This paper devises a decentralized control approach for the east-west station-keeping of GEO satellites, constructs a mathematical model, formulates control strategies and implementation details, and validates the control effectiveness using two distinct types of in-orbit satellites. This method efficiently exploits fragmented resources during payload task intervals, enhancing the availability of satellite tracking, telemetry, and telecontrol command resources.

为了克服地球非球形摄动的影响,GEO(Geostationary Earth Orbit,地球静止轨道)卫星在轨需要定期对卫星轨道进行东西方向的保持控制。目前,GEO卫星大多采用地面集中控制方式实施,即根据卫星定点位置摄动影响和位置保持环大小,进行东西方向的轨道维持控制。地面集中控制每次任务实施时间较长,约3 h,由于上行通道具有独占性,在执行位置保持控制期间,卫星不能发送其他遥控指令,这使得与卫星遥控紧耦合的载荷应用受限。另一方面,集中实施控制量较大,需要多岗位协同作业,以确保卫星平台安全。这种轨道维持任务实施模式效率低、人工消耗大,影响载荷资源使用,亟需对卫星轨道控制策略及任务实施模式进行优化。
航天器的自主轨道控制是近年来研究的热点,我国部分新型号地球静止轨道卫星已具备自主轨道维持的能力[14]。对于不具备自主轨道维持能力的GEO卫星,可通过增加轨位控制频次、减少轨位控制量的方式,将传统的长时段、集中式的轨位控制量进行分散,达到等同控制效果。将集中轨控分散化可减少平台控制上行通道占用时间,降低与载荷应用的上行通道资源使用冲突,从而提高载荷应用的测控资源可用度。
东西位置保持分散控制,是相对长周期、大脉冲东西位置保持集中控制定义的,是指将东西位置保持控制量按固定较短周期(如每日)平均分配,以较小脉冲抵消轨道摄动影响。因此,分散控制也称离散小脉冲控制[59]。集中控制与分散控制在每次的控制量上有大小之分,但实际控制效果都是使卫星保持在稳定线附近。
根据GEO卫星定点位置,结合工程应用情况,对近四次东西位置保持集中控制周期内半长轴变化进行线性拟合,可得到每日半长轴平均变化量。
为将集中控制时间分散化,需要建立正常模式分散控制策略数学模型[1013]。设卫星质量为m,推力大小为Fth,脉冲宽度为Pw,推力效率为ηωe为静止轨道平均角速度,则一个脉冲推力对轨道半长轴的改变量为:

考查每天均实施分散控制,则可以得到每次喷气的脉宽为:
平经度漂移引起每日半长轴与每日实际轨道变化的误差由卫星姿控引起。
东西位置保持分散控制既可利用地面点火,也可利用星上自主点火。为使分散控制状态下卫星轨道星下点经度满足控制要求,需要采用小喷气脉宽和固定周期推力控制轨道半长轴,抵消摄动引起的半长轴变化。
在具体实施中,根据每日实际半长轴变化量,设置分散控制周期为1天时,可以得到所需要的脉宽为Pw′。分散控制采用较小控制量使推力器控制效率较低,理论计算一般考虑分散控制效率η在50%左右。
假设单个脉冲的脉宽为ΔPw,利用公式(1)可计算出单个脉冲对轨道半长轴的改变量Δath。为兼顾分散控制以及精密轨道确定,采用一周连续控6天,1天用于精密轨道确定。每天控制次数为n,则
一周中,平均每日分散控制产生的半长轴变化约为:
为验证控制策略制定是否准确,通过仿真试验预报卫星瞬、平半长轴变化情况。图1是某GEO卫星连续90天实施东西位置保持分散控制期间,瞬、平半长轴变化情况仿真结果。可以看出,卫星平经度半长轴基本保持不变。东西位置保持分散控制方式,可以抵消每日半长轴平均变化量。
实施东西位置保持分散控制的目的是将卫星轨道半长轴保持在一定的范围内,对分散控制影响卫星轨道的其他因素应考虑对偏心率和倾角的影响、对精密定轨的影响、对轨道注入精度的影响、轨道外推误差情况4个方面。
①对偏心率和倾角的影响
位置保持分散控制,通过连续的脉冲推力抵消田谐项引力摄动加速度影响,使得卫星轨道半长轴保持在一定范围内。等间隔同方向推力长期作用下沿轨道面平均分布,各次脉冲引起的偏心率变化量相互抵消,其综合控制效果是偏心率基本不受影响。因此,在东西位置保持操作中可以暂时不考虑偏心率控制,只在偏心率即将超出保持环时进行专门的偏心率矢量控制,根据文献[14-16]的仿真结果,每年控制一到两次即可。
在倾角方面,东西位保持推力方向沿轨道切向,不会改变卫星轨道倾角。
②对精密定轨的影响
采用动力学方法对GEO卫星进行精密轨道确定,考虑地球引力、日月引力、太阳辐射压等动力学约束。根据牛顿第二定律建立卫星动力方程,在任意历元的加速度大小取决于该历元的卫星位置、速度及其他动力学参数,如球谐引力系数、太阳辐射流等[17,18]
若已知GEO卫星初始历元的位置和速度r0,则任意历元的轨道可通过对加速度的二次积分得到,即:
而后由最小二乘法估计出每个历元相对初始历元状态的改正值。求解六个历元参数、太阳辐射压系统等力学模型参数和观测偏差。统计分散控制前轨道预报与分散控制期间定轨数据的符合程度,估算卫星半长轴最大误差以及分散控制对精密定轨的影响。
③对轨道注入精度的影响
对于具备自主轨道外推功能的GEO卫星,在不实施轨道控制的情况下,通过每周注入一次轨道,确保星上自主外推的精度。上注的轨道与星上自主外推结果之间应满足一定的误差要求,包括位置偏差、半长轴偏差、偏心率等,否则注入的轨道无效。对于不具备自主轨道外推功能的卫星则无此项要求。因此可以7天为一个分散控制参数上注周期,6天实施分散控制点火,1天实施精密轨道确定与注入,据此评估对轨道注入精度的影响。
④轨道外推误差
具备自主轨道外推能力的卫星,星上控制计算机实施轨道外推会考虑推力器喷气,并按照喷气时长和标称推力计算轨道变化。在实施轨道控制的情况下,根据1.2节中的公式计算,卫星7天喷气总时长为ΔPwn
东西位置保持集中控制期间,需要修改姿态超差门限,以确保卫星在连续点火的模式下不出现姿态超差。分散控制将连续大脉冲点火变为小脉冲点火,对卫星姿态影响较小。
动量轮是以内力矩作为控制力矩,故当外力矩矢量之和为零时,卫星总动量矩守恒。通过改变动量轮的动量矩矢量,就可吸收卫星多余的动量矩,从而实现对姿态的控制[1922]。如果动量轮转速超差,将会导致无法正常吸收多余的角动量,可能造成卫星姿态异常。需要评估分散控制前后动量轮转速超差情况。
此外,为减少卫星位置保持对载荷任务的影响,星载姿态控制软件中引入大型载荷运动引起的姿态补偿[23],将载荷运动与位置保持解耦,使得控制过程对载荷任务无影响。
东西位置保持仅对半长轴进行控制,每次控制燃料消耗在0.01 kg量级。集中控制采用连续点火,推力器温度持续升高,确保了推力器工作效率;分散控制采用较小控制量,推力器温度无法达到连续点火时的水平,一般考虑推力器效率在50%左右。即便这样,与倾角控制、轨位调整等重大控制事件相比,燃料的消耗可以忽略不计。
星上具备自主控制能力的卫星与不具备该能力的卫星,两者实施流程的设计有所不同。
在工程实践中,为确保岗位人员更好地掌握分散控制状态,为后续分散控制自动化打下基础,以7天为一个上注周期,用6天进行点火控制,用1天进行轨道确定。对于具备星上自主控制功能的卫星,上注控制参数以后,卫星自主点火实施分散控制;对于不具备自主控制功能的卫星,在每天预定控制点火时刻,地面定时发送执行脉冲指令实施分散控制。分散控制实施流程如图2所示。
实施分散控制实施前,应实施一次集中控制,将卫星轨道平经度漂移环边界控制在标称位置附近,为分散控制选择漂移率为零的时机创造条件。
首批分散控制起始日期一般选择在漂移率为零附近,控制目标为一周的平经度差在0.05°以内。后续批次根据本次控制情况进行评估,依据本周轨道预报平经度差是否超出0.05°,确定是否启动分散控制。
若平经度差值较大,可以通过增加每天控制脉冲数,或者增大脉冲周期等方式调整分散控制策略,以减缓漂移率变化速度,延长卫星位置保持周期。根据每天轨道预报结果,查看平经度和漂移率的变化,视情停止本次分散控制,必要时进行集中控制。
为使温度对两个推力器对称性的影响最小,尽量选择在每日轨控推力器温度差较小的时刻进行点火[24],实际实施过程中,采用平均分散间隔方式进行脉冲点火。
分散控制期间控制参数如:位保点火间隔、点火脉宽等,发生跳变会引起卫星姿态异常,影响卫星安全及载荷任务。这种情况下,需发送退出分散控制模式指令。
为确保卫星平台及载荷任务安全,出现异常后,应第一时间进行故障处置。在故障诊断软件中,设计了东西位置保持集中控制与分散控制两种判断模式,参见图3,通过遥控指令识别自动完成故障模式切换。卫星进入分散控制模式后,故障诊断软件自主进行点火脉宽、点火方向、点火间隔、脉冲次数等遥测参数的门限判断;如果发现异常,自动启动应急处置流程,调用相应卫星控制脚本,发送遥控指令退出分散控制模式[25]
为验证东西位置保持分散控制效果与实施流程的有效性,分别选取在轨两颗不同控制方式的卫星开展在轨试验。
在轨试验一:某同步轨道A星不具备星上自主控制功能,采用基于地面自动控制的分散控制试验。每天预定控制点火时刻,由地面定时发送执行脉冲指令实施分散控制,目的是验证分散控制实施效果。该星实施东西位置保持分散控制以后,连续14个月未实施集中控制,星下点稳定在定点位置附近,满足东西保持环在±0.1°的控制要求。图4是分散控制期间卫星平经度差的变化情况。
在轨试验二:某同步轨道B星具备星上自主控制功能,采用星上自主控制方式实施东西方向分散控制。每周上注一次控制参数,6天控制,1天精密轨道确定,目的是验证分散控制实施流程。分散控制期间,卫星满足轨道维持和在轨管理各项指标要求,有效增加了卫星载荷应用时长。图5是分散控制模式下B星平经度差变化情况。该卫星在无轨控期间一个轨道注入周期内位置误差图参见图6,星上轨道外推的位置误差最大为1.6 km;半长轴误差小于50 m。图7是实施分散控制期间位置误差变化情况,约在6 km。
A星实施分散控制前后姿态变化曲线参见图8。分散控制不会引起卫星姿态超差。单个脉冲控制引发的各动量轮转速变化情况见图9,分散控制不会引起动量轮转速超差。
根据点火控制期间卫星自身工况、轨道控制效果、对轨道注入的影响,以及对载荷任务的影响对分散控制效果开展评估。其中,卫星自身工况主要考虑卫星姿态、动量轮转速变化情况、轨控推力器的工作状态等。控制过程中,可以分别求出实际控制量与实际总脉冲长度之比、理论控制量与理论总脉冲长度之比,在此基础上作商,就是分散控制的控制效率。
需要说明的是,由于卫星日常姿控推力器喷气卸载可能会影响控制效果的评估,对于分散控制效果评估的周期应在1个月以上。
根据长期在轨管理要求,本文研究的地球静止轨道卫星东西位置保持分散控制精度在±0.1°以内。上述策略在实际工程中进行了应用,并取得了良好的效果,如图10所示。某星东西位置保持控制周期在40天左右,每次控制时长占用测控窗口3 h。从2023年11月到2024年6月,实施东西位置保持分散控制,共上注控制参数17个批次,半年内控制精度满足在轨管理要求。
东西位置保持分散控制的效益主要体现在两个方面:
其一:对于全时段需要通过上行发令执行载荷任务的地球静止轨道卫星,本策略能够节省平台窗口占用时长。以某星为例,每年实施东西位置保持在12次左右,每次集中控制占用测控窗口3 h,该时段为平台控制独占时间,无法实施载荷任务。总计一年占用测控窗口时长在12×3=36 h左右。按照单星为用户提供载荷服务的任务量30圈次/天计算,使用东西位置保持分散控制以后,全年可以多执行载荷任务45圈次左右。
其二:地球静止轨道卫星为克服倾角方向的漂移,需要定期实施南北位置保持。南北位置保持控制过程中,由于存在东西方向耦合,可以采用东西位置保持分散控制的方式实施位置误差修正。按照倾角保持环0.1°计算,每年实施4次南北位置保持控制。采用这种控制方法以后,单次南北位置保持控制时长从5 h缩短至3.5 h,有效压缩了位置保持占用的时间,增加了卫星载荷任务服务的时长。
本文设计了适用于GEO卫星的东西位置保持分散控制策略,不仅满足地面点火实施,也可满足星上自主点火实施。通过将集中式东西位置保持分解至日常自动实施,有效利用了载荷任务间隙的碎片化资源,提高了测控资源可用度。同时,针对目前分散控制实施过程还需要人工定期调整的情况,可以通过对实施效果的评估、调整控制参数以达到最优控制效果。后续,还可通过制定合理的判断机制、设计控制参数自动调整策略,实现分散控制自动评估与控制策略的自主调整,进一步降低控制过程对人员的依赖。
