The adaptive monopulse technology is a common method for phased array radar to achieve target detection and angle estimation. In order to solve the problem that the performance of the traditional adaptive beamforming algorithm is reduced and the monopulse angle estimation results are greatly deviated in the complex environment where the mainlobe and sidelobe interference coexists, a two-stage mainlobe and sidelobe interference suppression method of adaptive monopulse is designed. The first stage of adaptive processing uses the improved GSC structure to complete the suppression of sidelobe interference, and at the same time, the blocking matrix is constructed to protect the target signal and mainlobe interference from being cancelled in the suppression process of sidelobe interference, so as to improve the mainlobe maintenance effect remarkably. The second stage of adaptive processing uses the sum-difference four-channel mainlobe interference suppression to complete the directional suppression of mainlobe interference,that is, while the mainlobe interference in the elevation or azimuth direction is adaptively suppressed, the non-adaptive array pattern of the azimuth or elevation direction is maintained, and then the monopulse ratio maintains undistorted relative to the quiescent monopulse ratio. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively suppress the mainlobe and sidelobe interferences without distortion of monopulse ratio at the same time.

自适应单脉冲技术是相控阵雷达实现目标检测和角度估计的常用方法。本文针对主旁瓣干扰并存的复杂环境下,因常规自适应波束形成算法性能下降导致单脉冲测角结果出现较大偏差的问题,设计了相控阵雷达两级自适应主旁瓣复合式干扰抑制方法。其中,第一级自适应利用改进的GSC结构完成对旁瓣干扰的抑制,同时通过构造阻塞矩阵,在抑制旁瓣干扰时,避免目标和主瓣干扰被削弱,实现主瓣保形;第二级自适应利用和差四通道主瓣干扰相消完成对主瓣干扰的分维抑制,即在自适应抑制俯仰或方位向主瓣干扰的过程中,保持方位或俯仰方向和差方向图的非自适应性,进而获得近似静态鉴角曲线的自适应鉴角曲线。仿真结果表明,本文方法实现了对主旁瓣干扰的有效抑制,同时保证了良好的单脉冲测角性能。

自适应单脉冲技术是相控阵雷达实现目标检测和角度估计的常用方法。本文针对主旁瓣干扰并存的复杂环境下,因常规自适应波束形成算法性能下降导致单脉冲测角结果出现较大偏差的问题,设计了相控阵雷达两级自适应主旁瓣复合式干扰抑制方法。其中,第一级自适应利用改进的GSC结构完成对旁瓣干扰的抑制,同时通过构造阻塞矩阵,在抑制旁瓣干扰时,避免目标和主瓣干扰被削弱,实现主瓣保形;第二级自适应利用和差四通道主瓣干扰相消完成对主瓣干扰的分维抑制,即在自适应抑制俯仰或方位向主瓣干扰的过程中,保持方位或俯仰方向和差方向图的非自适应性,进而获得近似静态鉴角曲线的自适应鉴角曲线。仿真结果表明,本文方法实现了对主旁瓣干扰的有效抑制,同时保证了良好的单脉冲测角性能。

The adaptive monopulse technology is a common method for phased array radar to achieve target detection and angle estimation. In order to solve the problem that the performance of the traditional adaptive beamforming algorithm is reduced and the monopulse angle estimation results are greatly deviated in the complex environment where the mainlobe and sidelobe interference coexists, a two-stage mainlobe and sidelobe interference suppression method of adaptive monopulse is designed. The first stage of adaptive processing uses the improved GSC structure to complete the suppression of sidelobe interference, and at the same time, the blocking matrix is constructed to protect the target signal and mainlobe interference from being cancelled in the suppression process of sidelobe interference, so as to improve the mainlobe maintenance effect remarkably. The second stage of adaptive processing uses the sum-difference four-channel mainlobe interference suppression to complete the directional suppression of mainlobe interference,that is, while the mainlobe interference in the elevation or azimuth direction is adaptively suppressed, the non-adaptive array pattern of the azimuth or elevation direction is maintained, and then the monopulse ratio maintains undistorted relative to the quiescent monopulse ratio. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively suppress the mainlobe and sidelobe interferences without distortion of monopulse ratio at the same time.

相控阵雷达自适应单脉冲技术具有测角精度高、工程实现简单等特点,为复杂电磁环境中目标的高精度测角和精确跟踪提供了有效手段[1-2]。当只存在旁瓣干扰时,大多数自适应算法具有较好的干扰抑制性能。但当存在主瓣干扰时,主瓣方向的干扰信号通常与目标回波具有相似的空间特性和信号强度,使用常规的自适应波束形成技术抑制主瓣干扰会使得和波束指向和差波束零陷出现偏移[3-5],导致自适应和差鉴角曲线在波束指向附近出现严重畸变,进而无法提供准确的角度估计结果。因此,如何有效地解决主瓣干扰问题,进一步提高主旁瓣干扰存在时单脉冲测角技术的性能,已成为进一步提升相控阵雷达测角性能的关键研究方向。
国内外针对相控阵雷达抑制主瓣干扰及主旁瓣干扰相关技术进行了大量研究,其中基于自适应波束形成的干扰抑制算法研究方向主要可以分为三类:基于阵列接收数据的预处理类算法,单脉冲和差鉴角曲线线性约束类算法以及和差四通道相消主瓣干扰抑制类算法。基于阵列接收数据的预处理类算法包括阻塞矩阵预处理(Block Matrix Preprocessing,BMP)、特征投影矩阵预处理(Eigen-projection Matrix Preprocessing,EMP)、协方差矩阵重构(Covariance Matrix Reconstruction,CMR)等。BMP方法[6]通过利用相关算法估计主瓣干扰的波达方向,求得主瓣干扰的导向矢量并以此构造阻塞矩阵,从回波信号中阻塞掉主瓣干扰;EMP方法[7]利用回波信号特征分解后特征矩阵中主瓣干扰对应的特征矢量构造主瓣干扰特征子空间,通过投影得到其正交补子空间来抑制主瓣干扰;文献[8]通过CMR方法消除协方差矩阵中的主瓣干扰。但是BMP类方法要求准确已知主瓣干扰的来波方向,EMP类方法在主瓣与旁瓣干扰功率接近时,难以准确辨别不同类型的干扰对应的特征向量,导致干扰抑制效果降低,CMR类方法则侧重于实现主瓣保型,实际上未能彻底解决主瓣干扰的抑制问题[9]
线性约束类算法[10-11]利用单脉冲鉴角曲线在波束指向附近近似线性的特性,以鉴角曲线斜率为约束条件,优化自适应和差波束权值,保证主瓣区域内的单脉冲鉴角曲线与静态鉴角曲线斜率相同,在主瓣干扰条件下仍然可以准确测角。针对主旁瓣复合式干扰同时存在的情况,文献[12-13]将线性约束与自适应和差波束形成相结合,文献[14]增加约束条件,同时获得波束指向附近线性的鉴角曲线并保持旁瓣电平较低的性能。但是主瓣和差鉴角曲线约束类算法在应用中往往会导致鉴角曲线线性区域缩小,在主波束3 dB以外的区域测角精度下降。
文献[15-16]提出了经典的和差四通道主瓣干扰相消算法,在传统和差三通道系统的基础上,增加了一个双差通道,利用差波束作为和波束的辅助波束,双差波束作为差波束的辅助波束,构造主瓣干扰相消器,该算法可以抑制一个主瓣干扰,但无法对旁瓣干扰进行抑制。在和差四通道主瓣干扰相消算法的基础上,文献[17]将其与自适应采样矩阵求逆算法相结合,分步抑制旁瓣干扰和主瓣干扰;文献[18]将其与BMP、压缩多重信号分类算法相结合,分维抑制旁瓣干扰和主瓣干扰;文献[19]在和差四通道的基础上,通过增加指向旁瓣干扰辅助阵元,将其作为四通道波束的辅助波束,利用双和三差五通道实现主旁瓣复合式干扰的同时抑制;文献[20-22]将和差四通道行、列分别自适应,可以同时抑制多个主旁瓣干扰。将和差四通道主瓣干扰相消算法与旁瓣干扰自适应抑制相结合,实现了主旁瓣复合式干扰的抑制,但处理流程中必要的矩阵求逆运算、BMP、干扰数目估计、波达方向估计、主旁瓣干扰判别等操作复杂度高,工程实现难度大。
针对上述问题,本文研究的相控阵雷达两级自适应单脉冲主旁瓣干扰抑制方法,在第一级通过广义旁瓣相消器(General Sidelobe Canceller,GSC)结构对旁瓣干扰进行抑制;在第二级通过和差四通道主瓣干扰相消结构对主瓣干扰进行抑制。两级自适应处理在保证和差四通道结构对主瓣干扰的抑制不受影响的基础上,增加了系统对旁瓣干扰的抑制能力,并通过对GSC结构中阻塞矩阵的改进,无须对主旁瓣干扰的波达方向和干扰类型等先验信息进行判别,也可以完成干扰抑制并且保证单脉冲测角性能。
一个由M×N个阵元构成的二维平面阵列模型如图1所示,该阵列分布在xoy平面的矩形格栅上,阵元沿x轴方向和y轴方向等间距分布,阵元间距分别为dxdyθ代表入射信号的俯仰角,φ代表入射信号的方位角。设原点处的阵元为参考阵元。
假设空间中有某远场窄带信号st),沿入射方向为(θφ)入射到该阵列,该信号到达某一阵元(mn)时,相对于参考阵元的空间相位差可以表示为:
式中,dm表示该阵元沿x轴方向与参考阵元之间的距离,即dm=(m-1)dxdn表示该阵元沿y轴方向与参考阵元之间的距离,即dn=(n-1)dyλ为信号波长。

wΣ_x表示阵列沿x轴方向的和波束加权向量,wΣ_y表示阵列沿y轴方向的和波束加权向量,wΔ_x表示阵列沿x轴方向的差波束加权向量,wΔ_y表示阵列沿y轴方向的差波束加权向量,则二维平面阵列和波束权值wΣ、俯仰差波束权值、方位差波束权值、双差波束权值分别为:

本文算法对阵列接收信号进行两级自适应处理,阵列接收信号经过和差波束形成后,第1级自适应利用改进的GSC对旁瓣干扰进行抑制,利用阻塞矩阵保证主瓣范围内的和差波束方向图形状;第2级自适应利用和差四通道主瓣干扰相消对主瓣干扰进行分维抑制,在俯仰维消除主瓣干扰时,保证方位维的单脉冲鉴角曲线不畸变,在方位维消除主瓣干扰时,保证俯仰维的单脉冲鉴角曲线不畸变。通过对信号的两级自适应处理,不仅抑制了主旁瓣干扰,而且保证了单脉冲测角性能。
常规的GSC结构中的阻塞矩阵只能阻塞某个角度的信号,当期望信号和主瓣干扰同时存在时,无法保证单脉冲鉴角曲线不畸变。通过改进阻塞矩阵,使其既可以阻塞期望信号,也可以滤除主瓣范围内的干扰信号,从而保证在抑制旁瓣干扰的过程中兼顾主瓣保型,不影响后续第2级自适应中对主瓣干扰的抑制。
改进的GSC旁瓣干扰抑制算法流程如图2所示,以和通道自适应为例,其中,上支路w0为和波束权值wΣ,指向目标方向,形成目标检测通道。下支路wA为和通道自适应权值wA,通过预测目标检测通道中的旁瓣干扰信号,进行干扰相消。信号经过GSC的最终输出为:
为了阻止期望信号和主瓣干扰信号泄漏到GSC结构的下支路,要求改进后的阻塞矩阵Cn与常规的阻塞矩阵相比,不仅能阻塞目标角度的信号,而且能对主瓣范围内所有角度的信号进行阻塞,即:

观察可知,俯仰维自适应单脉冲比KE_adaptive仅由该维度方向图函数比值所决定。在实施方位维主瓣干扰抑制措施后,该比值参数将保持其固有特性不发生变化。由此可以得出结论:当系统进行方位维主瓣干扰抑制时,俯仰维自适应单脉冲比维持不变,与静态单脉冲比具有数学一致性,即满足KE_adaptive=KE_static

同理可知,方位维自适应单脉冲比KA_adaptive仅由该维度方向图函数比值所决定。在实施俯仰维主瓣干扰抑制措施后,该比值参数将保持其固有特性不发生变化。由此可以得出结论:当系统进行俯仰维主瓣干扰抑制时,方位维自适应单脉冲比维持不变,与静态单脉冲比具有数学一致性,即满足KA_adaptive=KA_static
假设二维平面阵列包含16×16个阵元,位于xoy平面的矩形格栅上,xy方向的阵元间距均为λ/2。波束指向(θ0φ0)=(0°,0°),考虑回波信号中存在目标信号和两个干扰信号的场景,其中旁瓣干扰信号位于(30°,30°),主瓣干扰信号位于(3°,3°),两个干扰的干噪比均为50 dB,信噪比为0 dB。为便于仿真分析,设定目标信号与主旁瓣干扰信号均为远场窄带信号,噪声环境为加性高斯白噪声。
改进的GSC旁瓣干扰抑制算法下支路方向图剖面图如图3所示。从图中可以看出,常规的阻塞矩阵只能在目标方向形成零陷,阻塞目标信号进入GSC下支路,而改进后的阻塞矩阵将凹口展宽,阻塞所有主瓣范围内的信号进入GSC下支路。
利用改进的GSC抑制旁瓣干扰后,得到的和波束方向图,由图4(a)可以看出,经过第一级自适应处理后,位于(30°,30°)的旁瓣干扰得到抑制。由图4(b)和波束俯仰角0°剖面图及图4(c)沿方位角0°剖面图可以看出,在主瓣范围内,和波束经过自适应处理后,方向图与静态和波束方向图基本一致。
在完成第一级自适应干扰相消后,将得到的自适应差波束作为和波束的辅助波束,得到的自适应双差波束作为差波束的辅助波束,通过自适应调整权值继续抑制主瓣干扰。从图5中可以看出,经过第二级自适应处理后,旁瓣干扰角度仍可以形成零陷点,在图5(a)图5(b)中,和波束和俯仰差波束分别利用方位差波束和双差波束作为辅助波束,经过自适应处理后,在方位方向的主瓣干扰角度处形成零陷带,在图5(c)图5(d)中,和波束和方位差波束分别利用俯仰差波束和双差波束作为辅助波束,经过自适应处理后,在俯仰方向的主瓣干扰角度处形成零陷带,实现主旁瓣干扰的抑制。
经过两级自适应处理后,图6(a)图6(c)图5中得到的俯仰向和差波束自适应方向图沿方位角0°的剖面图,图6(b)图6(d)是方位向和差波束自适应方向图沿俯仰角0°的剖面图。从图中可以看出自适应处理后的方向图在主瓣范围内与静态波束方向图基本一致。
此时,图7是由图6中俯仰向和方位向的和差波束求出的鉴角曲线,可以看出本文算法得到的和差鉴角曲线与静态鉴角曲线在波束指向附近几乎一致。
本文设计了相控阵雷达两级自适应单脉冲自适应主旁瓣干扰抑制算法,在第一级利用改进的阻塞矩阵消除主瓣干扰对旁瓣干扰抑制的影响,通过GSC结构完成旁瓣干扰的抑制;在第二级利用四通道自适应主瓣干扰相消完成主瓣干扰的抑制。本算法改进了四通道主瓣干扰相消算法无法有效抑制旁瓣干扰的不足,但由于抑制主瓣干扰时采用的仍然为四通道模型,因此保留了原算法对主瓣干扰的抑制效果与局限,即要求被抑制的主瓣干扰角度不能与目标信号相同且功率远大于信号功率,同时由于四通道干扰抑制方法缺少足够的自由度,无法同时抑制多个主瓣干扰。通过主旁瓣干扰的两级抑制,无须估计干扰角度和干扰类型等先验信息,避免了实际情况中干扰真实角度无法精确估计导致的测角误差,提高了干扰抑制效果的稳健性,较好地保证了单脉冲测角性能。
