The sum and difference channels of S-band single-channel measurement and control equipment exhibit phase differences, which may vary with environmental changes, transmission media, and assembly processes. Phase difference correction must be completed before the signal enters the baseband terminal for demodulation, to ensure the correct angular error signal is demodulated and stable target tracking is ultimately achieved. In practical work, the phase difference correction is basically carried out by setting up beacon machines at high positions, which can effectively solve the problem of inconsistent phase difference. However, with the expansion of the distribution area of measurement and control equipment and the shortening of state preparation time, traditional phase correction methods are no longer applicable. This article focuses on the research of S-band single-channel measurement and control equipment within a certain frequency working range. By pre-testing its phase difference and adopting methods such as cable compensation or adding phase shifters, the impact of phase difference on angular error is reduced within a certain error range at the design stage. In the later stage, during the operation of the equipment, the complex workflow of phase correction is eliminated. This article presents the principle and method of phase free calibration for S-band single channel measurement and control equipment,and verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method through experiments.

S频段单通道测控设备的和差通道存在相位差,相位差还会随环境变化、传输介质及组装工艺的不同而产生变化,因此在进入基带终端进行信号解调前完成相位差的校正,才能解调出正确的角误差信号,最终实现对目标的稳定跟踪。在实际工作中,多采用高位架设信标机的方式进行相位差校正,可以有效解决和差相位不一致的问题,但是随着测控设备布站地域拓展和状态准备时间压减,传统的校相方法已不适用。本文研究在一定频率工作范围内,通过提前测试出S频段单通道测控设备的相位差,利用线缆补偿或者增加移相器等器件,设计之初就在一定误差范围内减小相位差对角误差的影响。后期设备在使用过程中,免除了开展校相的复杂工作流程。本文给出了S频段单通道测控设备免校相的原理和方法,并通过实验验证了本文方法的有效性。

S频段单通道测控设备的和差通道存在相位差,相位差还会随环境变化、传输介质及组装工艺的不同而产生变化,因此在进入基带终端进行信号解调前完成相位差的校正,才能解调出正确的角误差信号,最终实现对目标的稳定跟踪。在实际工作中,多采用高位架设信标机的方式进行相位差校正,可以有效解决和差相位不一致的问题,但是随着测控设备布站地域拓展和状态准备时间压减,传统的校相方法已不适用。本文研究在一定频率工作范围内,通过提前测试出S频段单通道测控设备的相位差,利用线缆补偿或者增加移相器等器件,设计之初就在一定误差范围内减小相位差对角误差的影响。后期设备在使用过程中,免除了开展校相的复杂工作流程。本文给出了S频段单通道测控设备免校相的原理和方法,并通过实验验证了本文方法的有效性。

The sum and difference channels of S-band single-channel measurement and control equipment exhibit phase differences, which may vary with environmental changes, transmission media, and assembly processes. Phase difference correction must be completed before the signal enters the baseband terminal for demodulation, to ensure the correct angular error signal is demodulated and stable target tracking is ultimately achieved. In practical work, the phase difference correction is basically carried out by setting up beacon machines at high positions, which can effectively solve the problem of inconsistent phase difference. However, with the expansion of the distribution area of measurement and control equipment and the shortening of state preparation time, traditional phase correction methods are no longer applicable. This article focuses on the research of S-band single-channel measurement and control equipment within a certain frequency working range. By pre-testing its phase difference and adopting methods such as cable compensation or adding phase shifters, the impact of phase difference on angular error is reduced within a certain error range at the design stage. In the later stage, during the operation of the equipment, the complex workflow of phase correction is eliminated. This article presents the principle and method of phase free calibration for S-band single channel measurement and control equipment,and verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method through experiments.

单通道测控设备是航天领域最常应用的系统之一,其跟踪体制具有动态响应快速、跟踪精度较高等特点,被广泛应用于卫星、火箭等重要目标的自跟踪系统中。单通道测控设备在馈源中进行信号合成之前也分为和差通道两路信号,形成的两路信号在馈源内部的合成器进行合成,形成左旋和右旋信号。受到环境、传输信号的介质、组装等因素影响,两个通道的和差信号在合成后相位仍有显著差异,因此需要在两路信号合成之前或之后即获得和差信号的相位差,并通过线缆匹配和移相器等相移器件将二者的相位进行一致性处理,得到同频同相的单通道单脉冲信号,在综合基带进行跟踪角度解算时,才能解调出正确的角误差信号[1-6]
在馈源、馈线和接收机等各种器件不同因素的影响下,和差通道的相位往往不一致。相位差包含固定相位差和随机相位差两类。通常,固定相位差是由馈源、馈线的各路元件电长度和驻波比不一致或接收机各路调谐不一致等原因引起的,它使电轴产生固定偏移,造成光电轴不匹配等。随机相位差是由信号频率变化、温度变化等引起的[7]
通过以上分析,可分别区分固定相位差和随机相位差来解决设备校相工作。固定相位差可在系统联试时标校得到,系统在设计时,可以通过一定的手段精确测量信号在不同链路中传输造成的相位差,利用精准设计链路的方式最大程度地消除和差通道信号传输的相位差。随机相位误差则是无法消除的,其主要部分是随着频率和温度的变化而产生的。研究发现:信号频率越小,其对传输通过的元件电长度和温度等因素越不敏感,其和差通道的随机相位差的相位变化则越小。
通常,靶场中的测控设备工作频率有S频段和Ka频段两种。其中,S频段频率范围为2.2~2.4 GHz,其波长大约为13 cm,为一种常见的分米波;Ka频段频率范围为26.5~40 GHz,其波长大约为1 cm,为典型的厘米波。可见S频段信号在信道内传输时,10 cm左右的信道元件电长度才能传输一个周期的电磁波信号,Ka频段信号在信道内传输时,1 cm的信道元件电长度就能够传输一个周期的电磁波信号,即Ka频段的信号更容易受元件电长度等信道变化和温度等变化而产生和差相位差。鉴于当前的技术水平和靶场测控设备等应用实际,Ka频段的测控设备校相易受外界设备装配及环境的影响,需要在设施设备准备前随用随校,以便于靶场测控设备使用[8,9]
本文对S频段这类分米波信号甚至更低频率的测控设备进行了深入研究,针对单通道设备(该类设备和差信号在馈源内部进行合成,合成后的和差信号传输通过一条设备链路,相位差不会发生变化,仅对和差信号从形成到合成前这一段链路进行处理即可)提出一种在一定频率范围内免校相的方法,该方法的核心就是通过测量得出和差通道相位差并通过一定方式消除其相位差,达到相位一致。
S频段单通道测控设备的组成包括:接收天线与伺服系统、信道与变频分系统、记录回放分系统、接收解调分系统、数据传输分系统、时频基准分系统、监控分系统及测试标校分系统,等等。该类测控设备分系统较多,设备功能齐全[10-12]
图1所示为某单通道测控设备信号传输原理图。S频段测控设备天线收到目标发射的无线电信号后,首先经馈源网络输出左旋和信号、右旋和信号、左旋差信号、右旋差信号,四路信号经分别滤波后被送至四个独立LNA(低噪声放大器)进行信号放大,同时经过合路器进行信号合成,合路后的左右旋信号被输入中频开关矩阵,中频开关矩阵又将信号送至基带单元。差路信号解调出角误差被送至天线控制单元(ACU)以实现对目标的自动跟踪,合路信号解调后通过通信机被送至数据处理中心[13]
图1可知,信号在到达S频段单通道测控设备的合路器之前采用不同的信道链路,链路传输过程中信号经过滤波器、放大器等电气性能存在差异的不同器件,和差信号在进入合成器时必然产生相位差,且不同的频点相位差不同[14-16]。针对该问题,需研究出一种可实现对S频段内不同频点的左、右旋信号均能适应的快速校相方法。
靶场中常用的S频段单脉冲跟踪体制多采用五喇叭馈源即五振子馈源来实现。五振子阵列馈源的中间天线振子产生和信号,四周呈菱形分布的差振子天线产生方位误差信号和俯仰误差信号。如图2所示为某S频段单通道单脉冲测控设备馈源组成框图,由前端振子、和差组合网络产生的和差信号(和信号、方位差信号、俯仰差信号)经合成器、0/π调制器以及双路耦合器后形成一路单通道单脉冲信号,该信号经过滤波器、低噪声放大器处理,通过射频信号传输线缆传送至综合基带单元进行角误差解调。解调出的角误差信号,作为天线控制单元闭环控制天线转动的依据,天线驱动单元依次转动天线位置,达到天线指向目标的目的[17-20]
图2可知,在测控设备的馈源中,和差通道配置的合成器、0/π调制器等性能不一致,导致两个低噪声放大器的幅频、相频特性很难做到完全一致,同时到达定向耦合器之前的和差信号因线缆装配长度、焊接工艺、环境温度等方面存在差异,加之器件的老化,其路径也会不同,所以和差两路信号间存在明显的相位差。一般情况下,对于某一固定频率,系统和差通道传输的和差信号相位差为零时,解调出的跟踪角误差幅度最大,此时自跟踪系统处于最佳状态,跟踪响应及稳定性最好;当相位差为90°或270°时,跟踪信号中包含和信号,不含角误差信号,误差信号不对和信号进行幅度上的调制,此时系统无法完成跟踪;当相位差为180°时,跟踪信号中包含的角误差信号与实际要得到的角误差信号相反,即为一个正反馈系统,会导致天线不会闭环跟踪,跟踪系统根据角误差大小反向驱动天线,越来越偏离目标。因此,为确保跟踪效果,和差信号相位必须保持一致或在限定的范围内,至少满足和差角误差信号交叉耦合不大于1/7。同时,相位差不一致除产生方位、俯仰误差电压的交叉耦合外,还会进一步造成定向灵敏度的损失[21]
对于五振子阵列馈源,四周的四个振子产生方位和俯仰的差信号,中间的振子形成和信号,为得到单通道单脉冲信号,需要将同旋向(一般分为左旋或右旋)信号的和差信号进行合成得到一路传输的和信号[22]。为了后端综合基带设备解调角误差的准确性,在和差信号合成时,只有确保和差信号在合成前相位保持一致,综合基带才能完整准确地解调出接近真实准确的方位和俯仰角误差值。和差信号在馈源内部进行单通道信号合成功能是在双路耦合器中完成的,因此合成前的和差相位差就是影响最终解调出的角误差不准确的主要原因。因此需要获得双路耦合器前各信号的相位差值,以便对和差信号进行配相处理。
图3为馈源内和差信号检测相位差值位置示意。由于和差信号在馈源内部形成后所传输的路径不一致,在合成单路信号前存在相位差,在图3所示红色虚线标注位置处进行相位差测量,校相的过程是获得二者之间的相位差并通过配相的方式消除和差相位差,在综合基带解调角误差信号时才能获得准确的角误差电压值,以便设备对目标稳定持续跟踪。
单通道测控设备的随机相位校准,其核心是要获得和差通道信号在合成前的相位差并通过一定的方式消除两条链路传输过程中的相位差,合成后的同相信号传输至综合基带进行角误差信号解调时才能准确解调出角误差信号[23],在工程中一般采取两种方式实现。
根据S频段单通道测控设备随机相位校准模型可得,和差信号在双路耦合器合成之前,由于传输路径和经过的电子器件不同,造成了二者的相位存在差别。为了使四周方位和俯仰振子产生的差信号及中间振子产生的和信号之间不存在相位差或者相位差在合理范围内,需要测量得出三路信号在不同频率下的相位差。由于形成的三路信号在信道传输过程中均使用单端口器件,需要设计测量方法和原理以测试其相位变化,如图4所示。获得的三路和差信号在馈源内部形成后,在各自的传输路径,分别通过0/π调制器和合成器等不同器件后,相位会产生不同程度的滞后变化。测量出相位变化量,通过调整连接在后端的电缆线的长度,使得三路信号能够同相位(在一定相位误差允许范围内)合成为一路单通道信号,此过程称为配相。
由馈源结构可知,左旋信号分别形成方位、俯仰和信号后,要通过不同的路径,在0/π调制器和合成器中完成信号处理,输出后的和信号和差信号相位均因器件和路径不同产生较大变化,以左旋为例(右旋同理),简要描述配相过程。如图5所示为配相流程图。
下面以左旋方位差信号配相为例进行说明,其余信号依次开展,方法不变。
①测试左旋方位差信号,按照图4的测量原理图连接,将信号源的一路输出连接到馈源网络左旋差信号形成口(-6 dB电桥的输入端,此处输入信号为左旋方位差信号),另一端连接矢量网络分析仪。将矢网的另一端连接在左旋方位差信号0/π调制器后端,测试该段链路的相位值。
②设置信号源输出标准点频的射频信号(与测控设备需求一致),矢网同步设置相应参数,按仪器操作步骤测出此链路的相位值。同理可测出左旋俯仰差信号和左旋和信号的相位值。
③以左旋和信号通道的相位差为基准,对方位和俯仰差信号链路的输出端口电缆根据测出的相位值与基准值的差值进行电缆长度的调整,使三条链路的相位差为0。这样就使得三个端口输出信号在同一点频下的相位保持一致,从而完成左旋信号链路的配相。
同理,可以完成右旋信号的配相工作。需要注意,配相过程中,在满足相位差一致的前提下,线缆连接长度尽可能最短,这会在馈源组装过程中节省足够的空间,做到馈源结构小型化。另外,在进行配相准备线缆的过程中,线缆传输射频信号的性能极大影响配相工作,馈源作为精密设备,线缆选择稳幅稳相电缆(稳幅稳相电缆在传输过程中能够保持信号的幅度和相位不变),根据实际工程经验,如传输相同类型信号则调节前连接的电缆尽量按相同长度配置,经过器件的信号相位值可提前通过矢网进行测试,通过该值进行后端的线缆匹配,这种提前规划线缆长度的方式一定程度上会减少配相的工作量和因线缆匹配不准造成的浪费。
前文已经得出结论,在精密跟踪测控设备馈源内部形成单通道信号前,务必要完成和差信号之间的同相,即信号相位差不能超过一定指标范围。但是在工程实践时,获得三路信号的相位差,并且在合成前完成相位值匹配是业内的共识,这部分工作可以在角误差解调前的综合基带完成,也可以在馈源内部合成信号之前完成。上一节主要介绍了测量其相位差,通过配相的方式在和差信号合成前完成相位一致性补偿,采取的主要方式就是通过匹配一定长度的稳幅稳相射频电缆,让射频电磁波信号在物理介质中传输一定的距离,输出的相位角就由线缆长度决定了,适当的电缆就能获得合适的相位匹配结果。此处工艺技术越好,匹配度越高,且传输信号的波长越长就越好匹配。工程实践中,只要满足指标要求,就可以实际应用,该方法在一定的指标要求范围内完全满足测量的要求。
除此外,采用电子器件调整和差信号之间得到相位差的方式也被业内广泛应用,即保持和差信号其中一路信号(一般为差信号)的相位不变,通过调节其余路信号的相位值去匹配基准信号相位值,达到相位差为零的目的。移相器是一种用于改变信号相位的电子器件或电路,它可以将输入信号的相位进行平移,从而实现对信号相位的调节。将移相器应用在该馈源装置中可合理解决相位不匹配的问题。
图6所示,为采用移相器调整馈源内部和差网络和差信号相位差的原理图。一般情况下,方位差信号和俯仰差信号在馈源内部处于相同的环境有等长的路径传输,其相位差大致一样,在一定范围内可默认其相位差一致,此时只需要通过调整和信号传输路径上移相器的值即可进行相位匹配。
图6所示,在和差信号单通道合成前,通过移相器对和支路信号来实现360°范围内移相,用于补偿和差通道相位差,确保和差通道合成的相位特性。移相器的选择要根据测控设备的实际需求来确定,移相器具有较多关键指标,如:相位调节范围(指移相器可以调节的相位范围),相位分辨率(指移相器可以实现的最小相位调节步长),插入损耗(指移相器对信号的功率损耗),带宽(指移相器可以工作的频率范围)。此处可采用360°调节64阶(可根据实际调节需求选型)可调射频可变移相器,根据和差信号实时相位差对和信号支路相位进行调节。
以上两种方法,均可有效解决频率较低、跟踪精度要求不高的情况下测控设备的校相问题,进一步优化设备准备流程、简化设备操作、缩短任务准备周期。两种方法,各有优劣。采用射频线缆补偿的方法,前期馈源设计加工组装时较为费时费力,需要通过矢网精确测量出相位差,并通过对线缆长度精确处理的方式配相,增加了馈源的复杂度,而且在加工和装配时如有失误就会产生较大的相位差,但是其内部电子器件较少,不易受外部温度湿度等环境影响,设备稳定度较好。长期使用设备时,如果性能下降而要调整相位差时则需重新打开馈源结构,这样不利于维护,变更相位差大小的可操作空间小。采用移相器配相的方法,缺点是增加了设备成本,并且由于增加了一个随时可调、需要供电且要长期监控的器件,设备的可靠性有所下降。优点是前期馈源设计和装配时对工艺要求不高,只要适配各支路线缆长度到等量即可,后期的细微差距可通过校相统一处理,而且随着设备的使用,发现相位差不符合跟踪要求时可通过对塔校相的方式获得准确的相位值进行校准,进一步提升设备跟踪的稳定性和准确性。
采用射频线缆补偿的方式时,要测量出和差信号传输过程中的相位变化量。通过调整连接在后端的电缆线长度,使得三路信号能够同相位(在一定相位误差允许范围内)合成为一路单通道信号,通过本文的实现方法对线缆差进行补齐,选择三个常用频点进行校相测试可得结果。补齐前后的测试结果分别见表1表2
从测试结果可知,采用射频线缆补偿方式后,频点相差10 MHz时,左旋信号的相位值约为200°,方位增益系数和俯仰增益系数变化较小,右旋信号的相位值约为136°,同样方位增益系数和俯仰增益系数基本一致,从实际的跟踪效果来看,交叉耦合略有恶化,但是其值远远优于设备对目标的跟踪要求。因此可以得出结论:设备经过固定线缆补齐后,可以在一定的频率范围内,使用固定的校相值,不需要对不同频点再进行校相,即可满足设备跟踪的要求。
采用在馈源中设计时增加移相器的方式保持和差信号,其中一路信号(一般为差信号)相位不变,通过调节其余路信号的相位值去匹配基准信号相位值,达到相位差为零的目的。通过增加移相器的方式进行配相,选择三个常用频点进行校相测试得结果。表3为增加移相器后左右旋不同频点双向拉偏校相方法测试结果。
表3可知,增加移相器后,当频点相差10 MHz时,左旋信号的相位值约为153°,方位增益系数和俯仰增益系数变化较小,右旋信号的相位值约为73°,同样方位增益系数和俯仰增益系数基本一致,从实际的跟踪效果来看,方位和俯仰之间得到的交叉耦合指标满足设备对目标的跟踪要求。可以得出结论:经过增加移相器,通过双向拉偏的校相方法校相后,设备可以在一定的频率范围内使用固定的校相结果,不需要随着目标频点的变化再进行校相,这省去了在野外条件下频繁进行校相的工作,从而减少设备状态准备的工作量。
本文提出了一种S频段单通道测控设备免校相方法,该方法在一定频率工作范围内,通过提前测试出其相位差,利用线缆补偿方式或者增加移相器方式,在设备设计之初就在一定误差范围内消除其相位差,后期在设备使用过程中,不用在每次任务准备时都开展校相工作。从实现方式和原理来看,目前由于生产和组装工艺精度难以达到一定要求,该方法现仅应用在S频段及以下频率,具有一定的局限性。随着材料和装配工艺的提升,该方法可逐步在各个频段完成免校相的技术突破。本节提出的单通道测控设备免校相方法,一定程度上减少了设备工作量、缩短了准备周期、极大提高了任务标校效率。
