In response to the demand for in-situ continuous measurement of molten steel temperature in the field of metallurgy, a novel contact-type continuous temperature measurement sensor structure scheme is proposed. The thermal response characteristics are analyzed by establishing a three-dimensional heat transfer model. Then a high-pressure process and a high-temperature annealing process are used to realize the preparation of an integrated sensitive component of thermocouple/ceramic protection body, which is then encapsulated inside the lance-type support structure of MgO-C material for making a temperature measurement sensor; Continuous temperature measurement tests are carried out under the environment of molten steel of Ladle Furnace, and the results show that in the 1 600 ℃~1 650 ℃ high temperature molten steel environment, the sensor can effectively measure temperature continuously for more than 16 minutes.

针对冶金领域钢水温度原位连续测量的需求,本文提出一种新型接触式连续测温传感器结构方案。通过建立三维传热模型对其热响应特性进行了分析;采用高压工艺和高温退火工艺实现了热电偶/陶瓷保护体一体化敏感组件制备,并将其封入MgO-C材质的探枪式支撑结构内部制作成接触式连续测温传感器。在LF炉(钢包精炼炉)钢水环境下进行了连续测温试验,结果表明:在1 600 ℃~1 650 ℃高温钢水环境下,该传感器有效连续测温时间超过16 min。

In response to the demand for in-situ continuous measurement of molten steel temperature in the field of metallurgy, a novel contact-type continuous temperature measurement sensor structure scheme is proposed. The thermal response characteristics are analyzed by establishing a three-dimensional heat transfer model. Then a high-pressure process and a high-temperature annealing process are used to realize the preparation of an integrated sensitive component of thermocouple/ceramic protection body, which is then encapsulated inside the lance-type support structure of MgO-C material for making a temperature measurement sensor; Continuous temperature measurement tests are carried out under the environment of molten steel of Ladle Furnace, and the results show that in the 1 600 ℃~1 650 ℃ high temperature molten steel environment, the sensor can effectively measure temperature continuously for more than 16 minutes.

测温传感器是钢铁产线应用最多的传感器之一。钢铁产线应用最多的测温方式为消耗型快偶单点测温,该技术目前为钢水测温的标准技术,其主要优点在于以较低的成本实现钢水温度的准确测量。但该测温方法的缺点是只能实现某个时刻温度的间断测量,测量值分散性较大,而无法实现钢水温度的连续监测,这对于炼钢和连铸过程的工艺控制十分不利。
钢水温度的连续测量方法主要有两种。一种是基于黑体空腔的辐射式连续测温方法,其测温原理是将一根耐火材料管制作成黑体空腔并插入钢水,黑体空腔底端同钢水达到温度平衡,产生红外辐射信号,被红外探测器接收并反映温度信息。1994年,维苏威公司的Han KPark研制了基于Al2O3-C的测温黑体空腔[1],但该材料会引入较为严重的烟气干扰,从而影响测温精度。同时,黑体腔底部的发射率也在测温过程中存在不确定性,也会对测温精度产生影响。从2002年开始,国内东北大学谢植团队开展了基于黑体空腔的钢水连续测温技术研究[2],其黑体腔包括双层结构,外层依然采用抗腐蚀抗热震性能良好的Al2O3-C耐火材料,内层采用高纯刚玉管,形成黑体空腔,实现钢水温度感知,并可用于屏蔽Al2O3-C材料高温下产生的烟气,保证测温的准确性和可靠性。然而,该方法也比较严重地影响了响应速度。2007年,谢植团队对该传感系统的结构进行了改进[3],研制了采用惰性气体吹扫消除烟气的黑体测温腔结构形式,该结构采用单层结构,直接采用Al2O3-C形成黑体腔,采用开口的排烟管代替刚玉管,这种结构形式将测温响应时间缩短至5 min~6 min,同时降低了成本,但该方法并未从根本上解决传感器响应速度慢的问题,另外,惰性气体吹扫有可能会引起风冷等其他测量问题。2016年,谢植教授团队以提升传感器响应时间为目标,对结构和材料进行改进[4],提出一种Mo-W-ZrO2金属陶瓷制作成黑体测温腔材料,将低成本的Al2O3-C材料作为支撑结构,并采用气体吹扫去除烟气干扰的测温系统结构形式,该结构显著提升了响应速度。
综合来看,黑体辐射腔式测温方法实现了钢水温度连续测量,但其主要问题是测温精度极度依赖发射率以及纯净的传输路径,实际传输路径中的烟尘环境、黑体腔非等温条件以及材料高温下发射率变化等因素均会对测量精度产生影响[5]。通过对测温枪内管吹惰性气体等方法虽然可以在一定程度上解决传输路径中的烟尘问题,但也会引入气体冷却效应等次生问退。此外,传感器快速响应问题并未在根本上得以解决。
钢水温度连续测量的另一个重要方法为带保护套管的热电偶测量方法。1991年,维苏威公司R. Michael Phillippi团队开发了热电偶加保护套管的钢水连续测温传感器,用于精炼钢水的温度测量[6]。采用含C耐火材料MgO-C作为保护管,由于保护管为厚壁结构,该传感器同样存在响应速度慢的问题,难以满足精炼对测温响应速度的要求。目前,贺利氏电测骑士(日本)有限公司在热电偶接触式钢水连续测温方面处于领先地位,其研制的Cas Temp测温探头,将带保护管的热电偶穿过耐火材料从中间包外部安装,可在整个连铸过程提供精确实时的钢水温度测量数据。该传感器敏感元件为铂铑型热电偶,探头响应时间小于90s,使用寿命约25 h ~ 50 h[7],Cas Temp钢水温度连续测量系统如图1所示,目前Cas Temp连续测温系统已经在中间包钢水环境下得到应用。
目前来看,热电偶加保护套管的接触式钢水测量主要针对中间包、结晶器钢水环境[8-11]。而对于钢包精炼炉(LF炉)等环境,由于其温度更高(通常在1 650 ℃左右,最高可超过1 700 ℃[12]),且内部由于吹氩存在剧烈的钢水翻滚冲刷,加上严苛的钢渣侵蚀,对接触式传感器提出巨大的挑战。2021年,安徽大学高宗保团队设计研发了基于双光路近红外面阵CCD探测器的非接触式测温系统[13],实现了LF炉环境下的钢水温度连续测量。然而,由于LF炉表面钢渣的存在,不可避免地会对非接触式测温方法产生影响,因此,开展LF炉等环境下的接触式连续测温方法研究具有重要工程价值。针对这个问题,本文提出一种新型的接触式钢水连续测温传感器方案,通过高压压制的方式将热电偶敏感元件同陶瓷保护体制备成一体化结构,构成测温单元,相比传统的保护套管的方式,由于保护体为实心结构,最大程度地提升了传感器/保护体的换热效率和力学强度,并可耐受LF炉高温钢水环境下的大压强、强热震、强冲刷、钢渣腐蚀等恶劣条件。本文采用较为廉价的MgO-C耐火材料制作成探枪式支撑结构,将测温单元封装入支撑结构内部制成钢水连续测温传感器,并在LF炉高温钢水环境下进行了试验测试,结果表明,该传感器对LF炉钢水环境具有比较好的适应性,未来有望解决精炼炉环境下高温钢水连续快速准确测量的问题。
图2所示为新型钢水连续测温传感器结构方案图。该传感器主要包括钨铼热电偶、陶瓷保护体、耐高温填充物、探枪枪体、绝缘陶瓷管、热电偶接插件等部分。其中钨铼热电偶和陶瓷保护体采用高压压制工艺制备成一体化结构,构成核心的测温敏感组件。将测温敏感组件穿过探枪枪体中间通孔,并用耐高温填充物填充间隙。探枪可采用含C耐火材料,如MgO-C、Al2O3-C等。
在实际的高温钢水冶炼炉环境下使用时,采用水冷式夹具工装夹持测温传感器探头。水冷工装结构中间留通孔,将传感器尾端插入通孔,并通过使用螺钉固定传感器与水冷探枪,传感器接插件连接热电偶专用补偿导线,将信号引出至室温区域进行信号采集。为保证测温效果,传感器探头插入钢水深度应不小于200 mm。传感器在LF炉应用场景下的插入方式如图3所示。
针对图2所示的传感器探头建立三维传热模型进行热响应仿真。图4所示为传感器探头三维图。探枪枪体采用耐火砖材料;陶瓷保护体和耐高温填充物材料为氧化镁;金属热电偶为钨铼5-26,为简化模型,将其设定为钨。耐火砖、氧化镁和钨等材料的热物性参数见表1。设定陶瓷保护体突出探枪顶面高度为1 cm,陶瓷保护体内部热电偶突出探枪顶面长度为H,分别设定为-5 mm、0 mm、5 mm、8 mm,并针对不同的h进行热响应仿真。
本次温度场分析为无内热源的三维非稳态传热,其控制方程可以写成:
式中,T为温度;t为时间;ρ为材料密度;CP为定压热容;k为材料导热系数,下标i代表不同材料。
本次分析的初始条件为:
设定传感器探枪在整个区域中的初始温度为20 ℃,即φ(x,y,z)=20℃。
本次热分析的边界条件有:
①探枪直接插入钢水的深度为200 mm,探枪和钢水接触面设定为S1,满足第三类边界条件中的对流边界条件:
式中,Tw1为传感器同钢水接触部分外壁温度;Ts1为钢水温度,h为对流换热系数,此处取Ts1=1 700 ℃,h=2 000 W/m2·K[16]
②为简化模型,对于钢水液面以上探枪暴露于空气的部分,仅考虑探枪和空气的对流传热,仍然采用第三类边界条件中的对流边界条件。将炉盖以下、钢液面以上部分空气温度设定为400 ℃,对流换热系数设定为5.66 W/m2·K[17]
采用COMSOL Multphysics软件进行仿真求解,图5(a)所示为仿真网格划分情况,采用四面体网格,图5(b)所示为热仿真结果云图。
图6呈现了不同热电偶突出长度H条件下的传感器热响应仿真曲线。在此基础上,将时间常数τ(传感器输出达到稳态值的63.2%所需的时间)进行统计汇总,结果见表2
热响应仿真结果表明,热电偶敏感元件突出高度对传感器响应速度具有显著影响。因此可以根据实际测试需要选择不同的突出长度,以平衡响应速度和可靠性。经综合评估,推荐敏感元件突出长度约5 mm。
图7(a)所示为热电偶/陶瓷保护体一体化敏感元件结构示意图,采用高压工艺和高温退火工艺制备而成,图7(b)所示为所制备的敏感元件实物。敏感元件制备完成后,采用激光焊接方式,将热电偶正负极引线延长至1 m左右。然后将热电偶正负极引线插入99氧化铝陶瓷保护管中,构成测温敏感组件。
该测温敏感组件插入中间有通孔的MgO-C材质探枪式支撑结构中,并用氧化镁或高温水泥等耐高温材料填充间隙,敏感组件后端接入热电偶专用接插件将测温信号引出。图7(c)所示为敏感元件封装后的图片,其中所采用探枪支撑结构直径为60 mm,长度为1 000 mm。
敏感组件制备完成后,首先在小型高频熔炼炉中进行熔融钢水环境下的测温验证试验。由于熔炼炉较小,封装后无法插入,因此直接将敏感元件插入熔炼炉中,实现钢水温度测量。试验过程如图8(a)所示,试验后的敏感元件如图8(b)所示。
为防止敏感元件及氧化铝保护管发生热震断裂,该试验首先在熔炼炉炉口预热30 s左右,然后将敏感元件缓慢插入钢液。该敏感元件共在小型熔炼炉中进行三次测试,图9所示为末次测试试验曲线,该次测试敏感元件工作时间约15 min,最高测试温度为1 610 ℃。
将本次钢水温度测试分成4个阶段,第一阶段是敏感元件从炉口位置预热并缓慢向下插入的过程,阶段二为插入钢水后的温度响应曲线,可以看到阶段一和阶段二之间有个明显的拐点,插入钢水后敏感元件温升速率明显加快。阶段二持续时间大约11 min,测温温度值约为1 610 ℃,阶段三两次调低了熔炼炉功率,钢水温度降低。阶段四将传感器从钢水中取出,传感器测量温度值迅速降低。小型熔炼炉钢水试验测试曲线如图9所示。试验后的传感器敏感元件如图8(b)所示,可以看到有凝固后的钢液黏附在测温敏感元件上,敏感元件形貌保持完好。
图10所示,在马鞍山钢铁股份有限公司LF炉开展了传感器钢水环境综合试验验证。试验过程为:为防止探枪枪体热震断裂,首先在炉口附近位置进行10 min左右的烘烤,随后采用图3所示的水冷机械装置带动测温探头缓慢下降并插入钢水,直到探头插入钢液面以下200 mm左右。
图11所示,本次钢水试验获取了完整的钢水温度变化曲线,试验过程中采用传统单点测温热电偶进行温度测量,并和连续测温传感器测量结果进行比对,单点测温热电偶测量温度值为1 642 ℃,而连续测温热电偶测量值为1 638 ℃,两者测温结果相差约4 ℃。LF炉单炉次测温窗口一般约6 min~15 min,之后需要停止连续测温试验。本次钢水试验持续时间约16.5 min,可以满足LF炉单炉次连续测温的需求。测量结束后,连续测温探头通路和测温功能均正常。
本文报道了一种新型接触式钢水连续测温传感器方案,并对其热响应特性、制备工艺、钢水环境应用验证等进行了相关研究。该传感器可适应LF炉现场的复杂恶劣工况,在1 600 ℃~1 650 ℃钢水温度范围内,有效工作时间超过16 min,比传统单点测温热电偶测量结果低约4℃,并有望实现多次测量。未来该传感器可以从以下几个方面继续开展工作:
①改进传感器探头结构,比如将测温端改成锥形结构设计,减小测温端的体积和热容,进一步改善响应特性。
②通过大量的现场应用试验,评估传感器寿命和长期使用的可靠性。
③结合传感器动态补偿算法[18-20],进一步缩短传感器响应时间。
