With the continuous development of telemetry technology, there higher higher requirements for phased array beamfor-ming capabilities and anti-interference capabilities. Based on the iterative Fourier algorithm, this paper proposes a new twostage optimization algorithm to solve the spaceborne phased array beamforming problem. In the first stage, the iterative Fourier algorithm is improved by adding virtual array elements with zero excitation to supplement the array and increasing dynamic range constraints of the array element excitation, so that it can be used to achieve beamforming and low sidelobe requirements. In the second stage, the excitation with low sidelobe characteristics obtained in the previous stage is used as the constraint vector of the new beamforming algorithm, so as to improve the anti-interference performance of the phased array without changing the original response as much as possible. The experimental results show that the proposed two-stage optimization method can reduce the sidelobe level while beamforming, enhance the anti-interference performance of the array, and has high computational efficiency.

随着遥测技术的不断发展,对相控阵波束形成能力和抗干扰能力有了更高的要求。本文在迭代傅里叶算法的基础上,提出一种新型的二阶段优化算法解决星载相控阵波束形成问题。在第一阶段,通过添加激励为0的虚拟阵元补充阵列并增加阵元激励的动态范围约束,实现对迭代傅里叶算法的改进,使其用于实现波束赋形以及满足低副瓣要求;在第二阶段,将上一阶段获得具有低副瓣特性的激励作为新的波束形成算法的约束向量,使得在尽量不改变原响应的前提下提高相控阵抗干扰性能。实验结果表明:本文所提出的二阶段优化算法能在实现波束赋形的同时降低副瓣电平,增强阵列抗干扰性能,并且具有很高的计算效率。

随着遥测技术的不断发展,对相控阵波束形成能力和抗干扰能力有了更高的要求。本文在迭代傅里叶算法的基础上,提出一种新型的二阶段优化算法解决星载相控阵波束形成问题。在第一阶段,通过添加激励为0的虚拟阵元补充阵列并增加阵元激励的动态范围约束,实现对迭代傅里叶算法的改进,使其用于实现波束赋形以及满足低副瓣要求;在第二阶段,将上一阶段获得具有低副瓣特性的激励作为新的波束形成算法的约束向量,使得在尽量不改变原响应的前提下提高相控阵抗干扰性能。实验结果表明:本文所提出的二阶段优化算法能在实现波束赋形的同时降低副瓣电平,增强阵列抗干扰性能,并且具有很高的计算效率。

With the continuous development of telemetry technology, there higher higher requirements for phased array beamfor-ming capabilities and anti-interference capabilities. Based on the iterative Fourier algorithm, this paper proposes a new twostage optimization algorithm to solve the spaceborne phased array beamforming problem. In the first stage, the iterative Fourier algorithm is improved by adding virtual array elements with zero excitation to supplement the array and increasing dynamic range constraints of the array element excitation, so that it can be used to achieve beamforming and low sidelobe requirements. In the second stage, the excitation with low sidelobe characteristics obtained in the previous stage is used as the constraint vector of the new beamforming algorithm, so as to improve the anti-interference performance of the phased array without changing the original response as much as possible. The experimental results show that the proposed two-stage optimization method can reduce the sidelobe level while beamforming, enhance the anti-interference performance of the array, and has high computational efficiency.

随着雷达技术和遥测遥控技术的不断发展,传统单个天线已经无法适应越来越复杂的应用环境,对一定规律排列的天线施加适当的移相,即可获得比传统单个天线灵活度大幅提高的相控阵,具有扫描速度快、可控性好的优势。为了能更好地发挥相控阵天线的优势,人们提出了各种各样的算法以提高相控阵的波束形成能力。相控阵天线既可应用于接收系统,也可应用于发射系统,因此相控阵的抗干扰性能研究也是很重要的一个研究方向。
传统数值分析方案中,有切比雪夫激励、泰勒激励、伍德沃德劳森激励[1-3]等方法,这些方法大多都用来解决等间距阵列综合问题,且通常都要求间距为半波长,局限性较大。随着时间推移,随机优化类算法也被用来处理阵列综合问题,例如遗传算法,粒子群算法等[4,5]。这些算法的优势在于自由度很高且可以处理各种不同的阵列综合问题,但缺点是需要不断计算适应度,无论是时间复杂度还是空间复杂度都过高,因此面对大型阵列时通常比较无力。此外随机优化类算法还会受限于局部最优解而无法得到想要的结果。凸优化[6]方法可以十分高效地解决阵列综合问题,但实际应用时遇到的问题不总是一个凸问题,可能会遇到难以转化的问题。而迭代傅里叶算法[7,8]也被广泛应用在阵列综合领域,综合了计算效率高和灵活性高的特点,可以很好地实现波束赋形要求。
传统波束形成算法并未考虑相控阵低副瓣响应需求,人们基于各种不同的准则,如线性约束最小方差准则、最大似然准则和最大信噪比准则等优化激励权重向量[9-13],可以很好地实现抗干扰要求。此外,由于高轨星载的特性,要求相控阵在极小的范围内完成波束赋形也是一项重大的挑战。
本文结合傅里叶算法和传统波束形成算法,提出一种二阶段优化算法。在第一阶段,通过添加激励为0的虚拟阵元填充阵列,实现对迭代傅里叶算法的改进,使其可以应用于不同的阵列布局,并且添加阵元激励的动态范围约束以便相控阵工程的实现。在第二阶段,基于线性约束最小方差准则,对权重向量添加低副瓣响应的激励约束,最终满足相控阵波束赋形低副瓣、抗干扰等要求。
均匀排布的线性阵列方向图可以表示为:
在该天线阵列中,第n个阵元的激励幅度和相位分别为Inβn,对应的单元方向图为fn(θ),表示第n个阵元的位置矢量,θ为方位角,AF(θ)表示在θ方向的阵列响应。不失一般性,假设各天线单元型式,尺寸完全一致,忽略阵元之间的耦合效应。式(1)可以表示为单元因子EF(u)和阵因子S(u)的乘积:
通过观察式(1)、式(2)可见阵列方向图计算与傅里叶变换逆变换具有相似的表达形式,反之也可以使用正变换加速计算,结合交替投影算法的思想,对传统迭代傅里叶算法进行修改,在算法迭代过程中激活激励幅度可能为0的阵元使其保持在工作状态,小于激励动态范围约束的激励使其模值等于要求的最小激励幅度。此外,交替投影过程中,修正方向图时采用修正幅度与迭代次数正相关的修正方式,即可得到改进的迭代傅里叶算法。具体实现步骤如下:
①初始化阵元间距,零点位置,期望副瓣电平,赋形区域,赋形形状,使用初始模板的广义逆解作为初始激励。
②正投影:对激励做逆变换,根据阵元间距不同延拓或截取操作,最终得到相控阵方向图。
③修正方向图:对高于期望方向图上界的部分“下压”,对低于期望方向图下界的部分进行“抬高”,下压幅度与抬高幅度与迭代次数相关,由式(3)、式(4)表示:
其中a1,a2分别表示方向图大于期望方向图上界和小于期望方向图下界的区域,Fu,Fd分别为期望方向图的上下界,GEN为迭代次数,GENMAX为最大迭代次数。
④反投影:对方向图作正变换并按照阵列规模进行截断处理。
⑤对于不满足激励动态范围约束的激励使其激励幅度等于允许的最小激励幅度,激活可能被置为0的阵元,阵元幅度设置为满足激励动态范围约束的最小值。
⑥重复步骤②~⑤,直到满足期望要求或达到最大迭代次数时退出。
抗干扰是相控阵优化研究中十分重要的一个领域。本小节在实现波束赋形的基础上,使用得到的激励作为初始激励,应用改进的自适应波束形成算法,在尽量不改变阵列其他性能的前提下压低零陷区域的电平值。设有L个相互独立的窄带信号源平面波辐射到面阵上,信号源方向分别为(θ1,φ1),…,(θL,φL),第k次快拍得到的数据向量为:
式中,x(k)为n个阵元的输出,AL个不同辐射角度的导向矢量,sL(k)表示第L个入射平面波的复振幅,nL(k)表示均值为0,方差为σ2的白噪声。根据收集到的数据向量构建协方差矩阵:
根据线性约束方差准则,给权重向量添加具有低副瓣响应的约束向量,相应的准则方程为
其中,w0为第一阶段迭代傅里叶算法优化所得权重向量,使用拉格朗日乘子法计算可得
a1(θ)为相控阵在θ方向的导向矢量,|Fd(θ0)|为w0对应的方向图最大值,并将第m个干扰来向a(θm)对应的响应置0,计算式(8)即可获得有强抗干扰,低副瓣性能的激励权重向量。以上方法也可以简单地拓展到平面阵列以及三维阵列。
以接收阵列为例,考虑如图1所示大小为28×24的平面阵列,阵列采用三角栅格布阵,相邻阵元间距为2.4倍工作波长,天线单元采用简易喇叭天线,其构型如图2,单元方向示意图如图3,单元方向性增益为14.8 dBi。设定最大指向俯仰角3.9°,方位角0°,主瓣区域(u-u0)2+(v-v0)2≤0.022,其中u0,v0为最大指向对应的uv域坐标。以波束展宽和压低副瓣为目标优化相控阵阵元激励,图4~图6为经改进迭代傅里叶算法优化所得的结果,可知优化后相控阵方向性增益为39.93 dBi,副瓣电平为-21.88 dB,3 dB波束宽度为1.15°。在波束赋形和压低副瓣电平的基础上,对其进一步优化,提高相控阵抗干扰能力。任意设置三个干扰信号且干扰位置(俯仰角,方位角)为(4.2°,50.2°),(6.2°,15.7°),(1.1°,1.1°),算法优化结果如图7~图9,用时39.4 s,圆圈标出的位置即为相应的抗干扰区域,进行抗干扰处理后,相控阵方向性增益为39.73 dBi,副瓣电平为-25.05 dB,相比未经过抗干扰处理的相控阵响应,3 dB波束宽度为1.3°,主瓣得到了展宽,这是由压低副瓣电平和提高抗干扰需求造成的。
此外,如图10,三条曲线分别表示过三个零点和方向图最大指向方向图,相控阵在各干扰位置分别形成了-55.9 dB,-74.1 dB和-62.7 dB的零陷,可知所提出的算法具有良好的抗干扰性能且能满足相控阵的低副瓣响应需求。
假设卫星位于地球同步轨道,则接收阵列波束和接收阵列抗干扰处理后的波束在地面上的覆盖情况如图11~12所示。
为了凸显所提二阶段优化算法的性能,将直接设置副瓣电平-30 dB,特定零陷深度-50 dB为优化目标的迭代傅里叶算法作为比较对象,保持与2.1中一致的主波束指向,零点位置设定,直接采用迭代傅里叶算法获得的优化结果如图13~15。如图16所示,用时34.5 s,相控阵方向性增益为38.94 dBi,副瓣电平-22.13 dB,波束宽度为1.4°,其在各干扰位置形成的零陷分别为-32.0 dB,-26.6 dB和-25.8 dB。通过定量比较,直接采用迭代傅里叶算法用时更短,但在方向性增益和副瓣电平方面的性能劣于所提的二阶段优化算法,并且无法有效实现抗干扰的效果。
此外,将所提算法与差分进化算法、粒子群算法进行比较,所提算法的时间复杂度与迭代傅里叶算法的时间复杂度类似[14],为O(l×N×log2N),其中l为迭代次数,N为方向图u域的采样点数。对于差分进化算法与粒子群算法,二者的时间复杂度均与进化代数G,种群大小NP,阵元个数D相关,为O(G×NP×D)。对于大小为28×24的星载平面阵列,其阵列规模较大,所提算法在时间成本方面远小于差分进化算法与粒子群算法。
考虑大小为32×19的平面阵列,阵列采用三角栅格布阵,相邻阵元间距为2.25倍工作波长,天线单元与2.1相同。设定最大指向俯仰角2.45°,方位角0°,主瓣区域设置为(u-u0)2+(v-v0)2≤0.022。以波束展宽和压低副瓣为目标优化相控阵阵元激励,图17~图19为算法优化所得结果,可知优化后相控阵方向性增益为40.18 dBi,副瓣电平-23.36 dB,3 dB波束宽度为1.4°,相应的波束覆盖示意图如图20
本文介绍了一种基于改进迭代傅里叶算法和改进自适应波束形成算法的新型算法,并对提出的算法按照发射/接收阵列进行测试,测试结果表明:所提出的算法可以有效地提升相控阵的抗干扰性能,并在保持相控阵低副瓣性能的同时尽量减少对相控阵其余性能指标的影响,可以很好地应用于星载相控阵抗干扰优化上,对激励动态范围的约束也有利于相控阵的工程实现。
本文采取的二阶段算法还有以下有待改进之处:一是继续加强迭代傅里叶算法的寻优性能,这直接关系到最后相控阵性能的优劣;二是将改进自适应波束形成算法应用于更多不同的阵列综合问题,这将是今后需要重点研究的问题。
