[Objective] Eukaryotic plankton are key components of a freshwater ecosystem, playing an important role in the food web. This study aims to explore the community dynamics and assembly mechanisms of three differently size-fractionated eukaryotic plankton communities (0.2–200, 0.2–3, and 3–200 μm) in two deep subtropical reservoirs (Shidou Reservoir and Tingxi Reservoir) in Xiamen. [Methods] From 2015 to 2018, samples were collected from both reservoirs in four seasons. The V9 region of eukaryotic 18S rRNA gene was amplified and sequenced to investigate the dynamic changes of eukaryotic plankton communities in the reservoirs. [Results] Overall, the temporal dynamics of dominant phyla of total eukaryotic plankton (0.2–200 μm) showed a strong correlation with that of micro-eukaryotic plankton (3–200 μm) and a weak correlation with that of pico-eukaryotic plankton (0.2–3 μm). Turnover was the main factor driving the temporal dynamics of eukaryotic plankton community composition in the two reservoirs. The proportions of the total number of sequences of the turnover species were higher in Shidou Reservoir than in Tingxi Reservoir in 2016 and 2017, while the opposite pattern was observed in 2018. Deterministic processes played a stronger role in the pico-eukaryotic plankton community assembly in Shidou Reservoir than in Tingxi Reservoir. The concentration of cyanobacterial chlorophyll a was weakly correlated with the eukaryotic plankton community in Tingxi Reservoir, while it was significantly correlated with the eukaryotic plankton community (especially the pico-eukaryotic plankton community) in Shidou Reservoir. [Conclusion] The pico-eukaryotic plankton community was more sensitive to cyanobacterial biomass than the micro-eukaryotic plankton community. The dynamics of the micro-eukaryotic plankton community largely determined the dynamics of the total eukaryotic plankton community. In the context of global changes, efforts should be made to monitor differently size-fractionated eukaryotic plankton and analyze the dynamics of community structure and functions for better understanding and protection of the reservoir ecosystem health and water quality.

【目的】真核浮游生物是水库生态系统的关键组分,在食物网中发挥承上启下的生态作用。本研究以两座亚热带深水水库(石兜水库和汀溪水库)为研究区,探究水库不同粒径范围(0.2–200 μm、0.2–3 μm和3–200 μm)真核浮游生物群落的构建机制。【方法】2015−2018年,对两座水库进行连续4年的季节采样,基于18S rRNA基因的V9可变区扩增测序和多元统计方法,研究水库不同粒径范围的真核浮游生物群落动态变化特征。【结果】总体上,两座水库总真核浮游生物(0.2–200 μm)与微型真核浮游生物(3–200 μm)优势门类变化的相关性较强,与微微型真核浮游生物(0.2–3 μm)优势门类变化的相关性较弱。物种更替是驱动两座水库真核浮游生物群落时间动态变化的主要因素;2016年和2017年石兜水库更替物种总序列数均高于汀溪水库,而2018年则相反。与汀溪水库相比,石兜水库微微型真核浮游生物群落构建受确定性过程的影响比例更大。蓝藻叶绿素a浓度与汀溪水库真核浮游生物群落相关性较弱且不显著,而与石兜水库真核浮游生物群落显著相关,其中与石兜水库微微型真核浮游生物群落相关性最高。【结论】微微型真核浮游生物群落比微型真核浮游生物群落更容易受蓝藻生物量影响;微型真核浮游生物群落变化一定程度上决定着总真核浮游生物群落的动态变化。全球变化背景下,应对不同粒径范围真核浮游生物进行监测,深入分析群落结构和功能变化,从而更好地保障水库生态健康和水质安全。

【目的】真核浮游生物是水库生态系统的关键组分,在食物网中发挥承上启下的生态作用。本研究以两座亚热带深水水库(石兜水库和汀溪水库)为研究区,探究水库不同粒径范围(0.2–200 μm、0.2–3 μm和3–200 μm)真核浮游生物群落的构建机制。【方法】2015−2018年,对两座水库进行连续4年的季节采样,基于18S rRNA基因的V9可变区扩增测序和多元统计方法,研究水库不同粒径范围的真核浮游生物群落动态变化特征。【结果】总体上,两座水库总真核浮游生物(0.2–200 μm)与微型真核浮游生物(3–200 μm)优势门类变化的相关性较强,与微微型真核浮游生物(0.2–3 μm)优势门类变化的相关性较弱。物种更替是驱动两座水库真核浮游生物群落时间动态变化的主要因素;2016年和2017年石兜水库更替物种总序列数均高于汀溪水库,而2018年则相反。与汀溪水库相比,石兜水库微微型真核浮游生物群落构建受确定性过程的影响比例更大。蓝藻叶绿素a浓度与汀溪水库真核浮游生物群落相关性较弱且不显著,而与石兜水库真核浮游生物群落显著相关,其中与石兜水库微微型真核浮游生物群落相关性最高。【结论】微微型真核浮游生物群落比微型真核浮游生物群落更容易受蓝藻生物量影响;微型真核浮游生物群落变化一定程度上决定着总真核浮游生物群落的动态变化。全球变化背景下,应对不同粒径范围真核浮游生物进行监测,深入分析群落结构和功能变化,从而更好地保障水库生态健康和水质安全。

[Objective] Eukaryotic plankton are key components of a freshwater ecosystem, playing an important role in the food web. This study aims to explore the community dynamics and assembly mechanisms of three differently size-fractionated eukaryotic plankton communities (0.2–200, 0.2–3, and 3–200 μm) in two deep subtropical reservoirs (Shidou Reservoir and Tingxi Reservoir) in Xiamen. [Methods] From 2015 to 2018, samples were collected from both reservoirs in four seasons. The V9 region of eukaryotic 18S rRNA gene was amplified and sequenced to investigate the dynamic changes of eukaryotic plankton communities in the reservoirs. [Results] Overall, the temporal dynamics of dominant phyla of total eukaryotic plankton (0.2–200 μm) showed a strong correlation with that of micro-eukaryotic plankton (3–200 μm) and a weak correlation with that of pico-eukaryotic plankton (0.2–3 μm). Turnover was the main factor driving the temporal dynamics of eukaryotic plankton community composition in the two reservoirs. The proportions of the total number of sequences of the turnover species were higher in Shidou Reservoir than in Tingxi Reservoir in 2016 and 2017, while the opposite pattern was observed in 2018. Deterministic processes played a stronger role in the pico-eukaryotic plankton community assembly in Shidou Reservoir than in Tingxi Reservoir. The concentration of cyanobacterial chlorophyll a was weakly correlated with the eukaryotic plankton community in Tingxi Reservoir, while it was significantly correlated with the eukaryotic plankton community (especially the pico-eukaryotic plankton community) in Shidou Reservoir. [Conclusion] The pico-eukaryotic plankton community was more sensitive to cyanobacterial biomass than the micro-eukaryotic plankton community. The dynamics of the micro-eukaryotic plankton community largely determined the dynamics of the total eukaryotic plankton community. In the context of global changes, efforts should be made to monitor differently size-fractionated eukaryotic plankton and analyze the dynamics of community structure and functions for better understanding and protection of the reservoir ecosystem health and water quality.

真核浮游生物是水库生态系统的重要组成部分,能指示水环境变化;它们在维持水库生态系统稳定性、生物地球化学循环和能量流动等方面发挥重要作用[1-2]。不同气候带水库类型具有其独特的生态特征,我国亚热带水库多属于暖单次混合型水库,这是由于纬度和海拔变化引起的温度变化所导致[3-4]。我国亚热带地区水资源最为丰富,河流和湖库众多,特别是东南地区多依赖于水库供水,因此保障水库水质安全尤为重要[5-6]。然而,气候变化背景下水库面临富营养化和藻类水华等生态环境问题,浮游生物群落变化与藻类水华形成密切相关[2, 7]。因此,研究真核浮游生物群落稳定性及其时间动态变化特征,在应对藻类水华等问题方面具有独特优势,通过提升浮游生物群落稳定性和水体自净能力,可为保障供水安全提供基础数据和科学对策。
真核浮游生物中,个体大小是重要的形态特征之一,不同粒径范围的真核浮游生物具有不同的物种组成和生态作用[8-9]。目前,对于不同粒径范围真核浮游生物研究的粒径划分范围有一定差异,且大多数研究对象以海洋浮游生物为主,对于内陆水库中不同粒径范围真核浮游生物群落构建研究较少[10-12]。研究表明,浮游生物群落构建受随机性和确定性过程的影响[13-15],但关于二者对真核浮游生物群落影响的相对贡献仍存在争议[13, 15-16]。Li等[12]研究海洋生境中3个粒径范围真核浮游生物群落构建过程(0.2–200 μm、0.2–3 μm和3–200 μm),强调了确定性过程对于真核浮游生物群落构建的重要性。然而,水库中不同粒径范围真核浮游生物群落构建过程中随机性和确定性因素的影响程度尚不清楚。不同水库的真核浮游生物群落组成会因不同干扰而发生变化[17-18],量化随机性和确定性过程对真核浮游生物群落的相对贡献有助于判断环境因子的改变或生物相互作用变化在何种程度上影响真核浮游生物群落的构建过程,对于全球气候变化和人类活动多重压力下水生态系统中生物多样性保护和可持续管理具有重要的意义。目前,我们缺乏对水库不同粒径范围真核浮游生物群落时空变化特征与构建机制的深入研究[11-12]
厦门市石兜和汀溪水库均为具有供水功能的中型深水水库,其流域具有较高的植被覆盖率。然而,相较于石兜水库受到自然和人为干扰影响(如小规模的农业和渔业)较多,汀溪水库采取封闭式管理,受到的人类活动干扰相对较少[19-20]。因此,本研究以厦门市石兜和汀溪两座水库为例,进行连续4年的季节采样(2015–2018年),探究两座亚热带水库不同粒径范围真核浮游生物群落(0.2–200 μm、0.2–3 μm和3–200 μm)时间动态变化特征,并希望为水库生态管理提供基础数据和科学建议。采样期间,石兜水库经历2次拉氏尖头藻(Raphidiopsis raciborskii)水华期(2015年和2018年),汀溪水库未发生藻类水华事件[20-21]
石兜水库(24°42′N, 118°00′E)和汀溪水库(24°48′N, 118°08′E)是福建省厦门市的重要供水水库[22-23]。2015–2018年,每年的1月、4月、7月和10月,分别在两座水库的表层(表层水以下0.5 m)、亚表层(表层与中层的平均水层深度)、中层(溶解氧浓度急剧变化分界层)、次底层(中层与底层的平均水层深度)和底层(水库沉积物表层以上2 m)收集水样。每层采集5 L原水,收集的样品迅速带回实验室进行过滤,为保证收集足够的浮游生物,每份生物滤膜过滤时间均大于30 min。原水首先通过200 μm孔径筛网,随后直接通过0.2 μm孔径滤膜,收集得到0.2–200 μm的总真核浮游生物样品。水样经过200 μm孔径筛网后,使用3 μm孔径滤膜过滤收集3–200 μm的微型真核浮游生物样品;随后,滤液再通过0.2 μm孔径滤膜收集0.2–3 μm的微微型真核浮游生物样品。
本研究涉及的所有环境因子测定方法在之前的研究中有详细描述[24]。环境因子主要由物理因子、化学因子和生物因子组成。其中,物理因子包括水温(water temperature, WT)、pH、溶解氧(dissolved oxygen, DO)、电导率(electrical conductivity, EC)和水深。化学因子主要包括总碳(total carbon, TC)、总有机碳(total organic carbon, TOC)、总氮(total nitrogen, TN)、氨氮(NH4-N)、硝态氮(NO3-N)、亚硝态氮(NO2-N)、总磷(total phosphorus, TP)和磷酸盐磷(PO4-P)。生物因子包括蓝藻、绿藻、硅/甲藻和所有藻类叶绿素a浓度(Chl-a-Bl,Chl-a-Gr,Chl-a-Br和Chl-a-T),通过PHYTO-PAM浮游植物荧光仪测定。藻类的叶绿素a浓度在一定程度上反映了浮游植物的生物量。
使用FastDNA SPIN试剂盒(MP Biomedicals公司)对剪碎的滤膜样品进行DNA提取。选择真核生物18S rRNA基因序列的V9可变区引物1380F (5′-CCCTGCCHTTTGTACACAC-3′)和1510R (5′-CCTTCYGCAGGTTCACCTAC-3′)进行PCR扩增[17]。PCR反应体系:样品DNA 3 μL,引物(10 μmol/L) 3 μL,牛血清蛋白(bovine serum albumin, 20 mg/mL) 3 μL,PCR反应预混试剂(Ex TaqTM, TaKaRa公司) 30 μL,灭菌水21 μL。PCR反应条件:95 ℃预变性5 min;95 ℃变性30 s,55 ℃退火30 s,72 ℃延伸30 s,共30个循环;72 ℃延伸5 min。样本文库使用Illumina测序平台(2×150 bp) (Illumina公司)进行测序。利用VSEARCH v.2.14.1处理18S rRNA基因的序列[25]。使用Mothur v.1.39.5进行质量控制和序列拼接[26]。过滤后的序列使用VSEARCH v.2.14.1中的“minuniquesize 8”参数获得Unique序列。随后,使用USEARCH v10中的“minsize 8”参数,根据unoise3算法去除嵌合体并获得代表序列[27]。通过VSEARCH v.2.14.1,按照序列97%的相似性进行分类,形成操作分类单元(operational taxonomic units, OTUs)。代表序列通过与原生生物核糖体参考数据库(Protist Ribosomal Reference Database, PR2)比对,对每一个OTU进行注释[28]。最后,使用Mothur v1.39.5将每个样本标准化至205 700条序列。本研究所有原始序列数据在NODE数据库(登录号为OEP00002999)和NCBI数据库(登录号为PRJNA770434)均可访问获取。
在R中,使用“vegan”和“ggvegan”包,通过相似性分析(analysis of similarity, ANOSIM)比较真核浮游生物群落在不同时间和空间尺度上的差异性。使用“vegan”和“betapart”包对真核浮游生物群落β多样性进行分解[29]。使用“linkET”包计算真核浮游生物群落与环境因子之间的相关性。
使用Sloan中性模型拟合真核浮游生物群落构建过程[15, 30]。该模型中主要参数包括R2、m和within。其中,R2代表该模型对群落中真核浮游生物分布的整体拟合效果,完全符合中性模型时R2为1;m代表物种迁移率,m值越高则代表真核浮游生物受到的扩散限制越小;within代表群落中符合中性模型的OTUs占群落所有OTUs的百分比。使用校正随机率(modified stochasticity ratio, MST)的方法定量生态过程中的随机性[31]。当群落的MST值分布在0.5以下,则认为该群落构建主要由确定性过程主导。反之,当群落的MST大于0.5,则认为该群落构建主要由随机性过程主导。本研究使用非参数Mann-Whitney U检验比较汀溪水库与石兜水库MST之间的差异。
图1所示,两座水库水位变化趋势一致,均在2015年4月处于最低值,2017年7月至2018年4月水位呈现波动式持续降低的趋势。石兜水库总碳浓度(平均值9.07 mg/L)高于汀溪水库(平均值5.02 mg/L),然而两座水库总氮和总磷浓度水平较为接近。除2016年1月、4月和7月以外,其他时间段石兜水库总藻类生物量均高于汀溪水库。值得注意的是,2015年和2018年,石兜水库的蓝藻比例相对较高。
两座水库真核浮游生物群落主要由54个门和一些未知真核生物类群组成。总体而言,石兜和汀溪水库的总真核浮游生物群落(0.2–200 μm)和微型真核浮游生物群落(3–200 μm)中节肢动物门(Arthropoda)平均相对丰度最高(石兜水库分别为29.77%和34.53%,汀溪水库分别为23.64%和36.12%) (图2)。比较而言,石兜和汀溪水库微微型真核浮游生物群落(0.2–3 μm)中节肢动物门相对丰度较低(石兜水库为8.49%,汀溪水库为5.04%)。
不同粒径范围间真核浮游生物门类相关性的结果表明(表1),两座水库微型真核浮游生物优势门类与总真核浮游生物优势门类时间动态变化的相关性较强,与微微型真核浮游生物优势门类的相关性较弱。其中,在总真核浮游生物与微型真核浮游生物门类相关性分析中,石兜水库除隐真菌门(Cryptomycota)和甲藻门(Dinoflagellata)外,其他8个门类均呈现显著正相关;在汀溪水库,除甲藻门(Dinoflagellata)外,其他9个门类均呈现出显著的正相关关系。
群落相似性分析(ANOSIM)结果表明,两座水库中的真核浮游生物群落存在显著的时空差异(表2)。在时间尺度上,两座水库中真核浮游生物群落年际之间的差异大于季节之间的差异;在空间尺度上,粒径范围之间的差异大于水库之间和水层之间的差异。
基于Bray-Curtis不相似性,进一步分析了石兜和汀溪水库中3个不同粒径范围真核浮游生物群落的β多样性。结果表明,物种更替贡献了石兜和汀溪水库中3个不同粒径范围真核浮游生物群落中较高比例的β多样性(图3);显然,物种更替驱动着真核浮游生物群落组成时间动态变化。年际连通性的结果表明,两座水库每个粒径范围在每一年均有20%左右的物种更替(图4),但更替物种的总序列数只占很小的比例。这表明,每年物种更替的类群主要是群落中占少数的低丰度种。两座水库相同粒径范围真核浮游生物群落对比发现,2016年和2018年汀溪水库的物种更替比例高于石兜水库,而2017年则相反(图4)。2016年和2017年石兜水库的更替物种总序列数略高于汀溪水库,而2018年则相反(图4)。
两座亚热带水库真核浮游生物群落的构建过程可以较好地拟合中性模型。石兜水库微型真核浮游生物群落的中性过程对群落构建的解释度和迁移率要高于该水库其他2个粒径范围的真核浮游生物群落。然而,汀溪水库微微型真核浮游生物群落的中性过程对群落构建的解释度和迁移率要高于该水库其他2个粒径范围和石兜水库所有粒径范围真核浮游生物群落(表3)。石兜水库微微型真核浮游生物群落中有42.98%的OTUs符合中性模型,汀溪水库微微型真核浮游生物群落中51.99%的OTUs符合中性模型。
校正随机率(MST)的结果进一步明确,随机性和确定性过程在两座水库3个不同粒径范围真核浮游生物群落中的相对重要性(图5)。结果表明,微微型真核浮游生物群落中,石兜水库校正随机率显著低于汀溪水库,暗示石兜水库群落构建过程受到的确定性过程强于汀溪水库(图5)。
Mantel检验的结果表明,相较于汀溪水库,更多的环境因子与石兜水库真核浮游生物群落显著相关(图6)。整体而言,与真核浮游生物群落显著相关的环境因子中,总碳(TC)与所有群落均有较高相关性,水温(WT)、亚硝态氮(NO2-N)和绿藻叶绿素a浓度(Chl-a-Gr)与所有群落相关性较低。电导率(EC)和所有藻类叶绿素a浓度(Chl-a-T)与石兜水库真核浮游生物群落的相关性略高于汀溪水库。蓝藻叶绿素a浓度(Chl-a-Bl)与石兜水库微微型真核浮游生物群落的相关性(r=0.191)高于石兜水库总真核浮游生物群落(r=0.168)和微型真核浮游生物群落(r=0.087),以及汀溪水库所有真核浮游生物群落(总真核浮游生物群落,r=0.077;微微型真核浮游生物群落,r=0.063;微型真核浮游生物群落,r=0.078)。
目前对于淡水生态系统真核浮游生物群落时空动态变化已有大量研究[32-34],鲜有对不同粒径范围真核浮游生物群落时空动态变化的比较研究。本研究对厦门市石兜和汀溪两座水库的不同粒径真核浮游生物群落进行为期4年的观测分析。研究发现,两座水库中真核浮游生物群落组成的年际变化强度高于季节变化,之前的研究同样发现浮游动物的季节性变化弱于年际变化[33, 35]。这是由于人类活动和气候变化的年际性对真核浮游生物的影响可能超过了群落季节性演替的变化幅度[33]。进一步将β多样性分解为物种更替和嵌套两部分,发现物种更替是驱动两座水库真核浮游生物群落组成动态变化的主要原因。这一结果与Xue等对厦门溪东水库真核浮游生物报道结果[18]相似。此外,石兜水库物种更替略高于汀溪水库,这可能与石兜水库发生2次蓝藻水华事件密切相关。蓝藻水华发生会导致群落组成和物种相互作用关系的改变,进而影响真核浮游生物群落的物种更替[2, 35]。20152018年石兜水库蓝藻的叶绿素a浓度均高于汀溪水库,研究期间两座水库除水深有较大变化外,石兜水库蓝藻生物量有较大变化。研究表明,亚热带水库水位降低会促进蓝藻的优势地位[36]。石兜水库水位降低的时间段与蓝藻水华发生的时间段相一致,由于石兜水库本身藻类生物量较高,这可能导致了在2015年与2018年先后发生了以拉氏尖头藻为主的蓝藻水华事件[20-21]。2016年和2017年石兜水库处于非水华期,此时浮游生物群落处于一种受到干扰后恢复的状态,种内和种间关系发生变化,可能给新物种的定居提供机会,这也解释了在2016年和2017年石兜水库与汀溪水库相同粒径范围的真核浮游生物群落中,石兜水库每年新增的序列数占比高于汀溪水库的原因。2018年石兜水库蓝藻水华再次发生,蓝藻竞争营养盐的能力要强于其他浮游植物,抑制了其他浮游植物的生长繁殖,形成了单一优势种。捕食浮游植物的浮游动物由于难于捕食形成水华的蓝藻,因此在一定程度上其物种更替受到影响[20, 37-38],从而可能导致了2018年的年际连通性方面差别,汀溪水库总真核浮游生物和微型真核浮游生物新增的物种百分比与新增的序列数占比高于石兜水库。此外,石兜水库2016年与汀溪水库相同粒径范围的真核浮游生物群落中,石兜水库物种更替比例略低于汀溪水库,而新增物种序列数占比高于汀溪水库的原因可能是由于2016年石兜水库处于非水华期,物种更替较为缓慢,但新增物种因未受蓝藻水华的影响进而大量繁殖。
真核浮游生物是水库中环境变化的指示物种,在维持水生生态系统稳定性方面至关重要[35]。环境因子在很大程度上可以解释真核浮游生物群落的变化[39]。本研究结果表明,石兜和汀溪水库真核浮游生物群落组成存在显著的时空异质性。水生生态系统中,真核浮游生物群落的时空异质性普遍存在,这种异质性主要由于环境条件或生态梯度的变化而改变[33, 40]。石兜和汀溪水库地理位置相近,处于同一纬度梯度、具有相同的地质背景,但两座水库环境条件和营养状态不同,从而塑造了不同的真核浮游生物群落。Mantel检验结果显示,与石兜水库真核浮游生物群落显著相关的环境因子更多,且相关性强于汀溪水库。总碳与所有群落均有较强的相关性,这可能是因为18S rRNA基因高通量测序能同时扩增出浮游动物和浮游植物,而浮游动物与浮游植物也是水库中总碳的一部分贡献者。水温与所有真核浮游生物群落相关性较低,但相较而言,两座水库微微型真核浮游生物群落与水温呈显著的弱相关关系;暗示水温可能对亚热带水库微微型真核浮游生物群落影响要强于微型真核浮游生物群落。此外,石兜水库发生过蓝藻水华事件,蓝藻叶绿素a浓度变化较大蓝藻与真核浮游生物群落显著相关,特别是与微微型真核浮游生物群落相关性最高汀溪水库蓝藻叶绿素a浓度较低,与真核浮游生物群落相关性较弱且不显著。这表明水库蓝藻对真核浮游生物群落有一定影响,且可能主要影响微微型真核浮游生物群落。
群落构建机制是生态学研究的核心之一。中性模型结果表明,汀溪水库中不同粒径范围真核浮游生物的中性模型特征值普遍高于石兜水库。汀溪水库中微微型真核浮游生物群落对中性模型的拟合度最高,石兜水库微微型真核浮游生物群落对中性模型的拟合度最低。这说明物种扩散限制对石兜水库真核浮游生物群落的影响大于对汀溪水库的影响。校正随机率的结果表明,石兜水库微微型真核浮游生物群落受到确定性过程影响显著高于汀溪水库微微型真核浮游生物群落。结合蓝藻叶绿素a浓度与石兜水库微微型真核浮游生物群落显著相关,且高于石兜水库总真核浮游生物群落和微型真核浮游生物群落,以及汀溪水库所有粒径范围真核浮游生物群落。我们推断,微微型真核浮游生物群落更容易受到蓝藻生物量的影响。Wang等[33]认为,2015年石兜水库蓝藻水华的暴发增强了确定性过程对有壳虫原生动物群落构建的影响。事实上,石兜水库存在一定养殖与垂钓现象,人为活动干扰因素相对较多;而汀溪水库采用封闭式管理模式,受人类活动干扰较少。因此,蓝藻水华和人为活动干扰等因素可能导致了石兜水库环境因子变化范围较大,进而导致微微型真核浮游生物群落构建主要受确定性过程主导。然而,物种受到不同的环境选择过程可能会导致中性模型预测和观测数据之间的偏差[41]。本研究结果仅反映了两座亚热带水库中不同粒径范围真核浮游生物群落的构建过程与16项环境因子的关系。为了提高模型的准确性,未来应考虑更多的环境因子对群落构建过程的影响。
最后,石兜和汀溪水库总真核浮游生物与微型真核浮游生物平均相对丰度排名前10的门类动态变化趋势基本一致,两者的相关系数多数情况下大于总真核浮游生物与微微型真核浮游生物之间的相关系数。值得关注的是,石兜水库微微型真核浮游生物群落与蓝藻生物量显著相关,群落受确定性过程影响程度显著高于汀溪水库微微型真核浮游生物群落受到的确定性过程影响。石兜水库总真核浮游生物群落与汀溪水库总真核浮游生物群落校正随机率无显著差异。综上所述,微型真核浮游生物群落动态变化对总真核浮游生物群落的动态变化的贡献大于微微型真核浮游生物群落。因此,水库管理部门在进行水质生物监测中应进一步深入对不同粒径范围的真核浮游生物群落功能进行研究。
本研究利用2015−2018年季节观测数据,比较了两座亚热带深水水库不同粒径范围真核浮游生物群落的变化特征与构建过程。研究表明:(1) 石兜和汀溪水库微型真核浮游生物相对丰度排名前10位浮游生物门类相对丰度的动态变化与总真核浮游生物群落较为一致,微型真核浮游生物动态变化一定程度上决定着总真核浮游生物群落的动态变化;(2) 石兜水库微微型真核浮游生物群落受确定性过程影响显著高于汀溪水库微微型真核浮游生物;除了与两座水库微微型真核浮游生物群落的环境因子均显著相关的环境因子以外,蓝藻叶绿素a浓度与石兜水库微微型真核浮游生物群落相关性最高,而与汀溪水库微微型真核浮游生物群落无显著相关性。总之,相较于微型真核浮游生物群落,微微型真核浮游生物群落受蓝藻生物量的影响更大。在今后对亚热带水库真核浮游生物群落的研究中,建议针对不同粒径范围真核浮游生物进行监测,深入分析群落结构和功能变化,从而更好地保障水库生态健康与水质安全。
