  • 李文均,中山大学生命科学学院教授/珠江学者、逸仙学者特聘教授,中国科学院新疆生态与地理研究所兼职特聘研究员、博士生导师。长期从事高温、高盐碱、海洋等极端或特殊生境(植物内生、动物肠道等)微生物分类及系统学、生态学研究。现任伯杰氏国际系统微生物学会(BISMiS)主席,国际原核微生物系统学委员会(ICSP)国际委员。同时兼任中国微生物学会微生物教学工作委员会副主任委员、国际交流工作委员会委员、普通微生物专业委员会委员、地质微生物专业委员会委员、微生物资源专业委员会委员;国内外Microbiome、IJSEM、SAM、ANTO、《微生物学报》等十几个期刊主编、副主编或编委。先后承担并顺利完成了包括科技部重点研发课题、国际合作专项、国家科技基础性工作专项,以及国家自然科学基金(青年、面上、重点、国际合作共10项)等在内的50余项国家或省级课题的研究。先后建议并命名、发表包括细菌、古菌4个新门,5个新纲,24个目,40余个新科,112个新属,650余个新种。2014-2024连续11年入选由爱思唯尔(Elsevier)发布的中国高被引学者榜单。

    蒋宏忱,中国地质大学生物地质与环境地质国家重点实验室教授、博士生导师。中国微生物学会地质微生物学专业委员会委员,中国古生物学会地球生物学分会理事,中国地质学会盐类资源环境专委会委员。主要从事盐碱环境、地热生境、干旱生境、冰下湖等极端地质环境微生物学研究。

地质微生物作为地球深时演化与表层系统物质循环的核心参与者,始终处于地球科学与生命科学交叉研究的前沿。它们以独特的代谢机制调控碳、氮、硫、铁等关键元素的生物地球化学循环,驱动着岩石风化、土壤形成、污染物降解及能源转化等过程,深刻塑造着地球表生环境的物质迁移与能量流动格局。近年来,随着高通量测序、单细胞分析、代谢组学及合成生物学技术的突破,地质微生物研究正经历从功能解析到工程化应用的范式变革,为应对全球气候变化、环境污染和资源短缺提供了颠覆性创新路径。
地质微生物通过多模式代谢途径深刻影响碳循环过程,其作用机制与生态效应已成为地球系统科学研究的核心命题。在产甲烷作用方面,产甲烷古菌[如甲烷杆菌属(Methanobacterium)]通过氢营养型产甲烷途径主导厌氧环境甲烷生成,其代谢活性受环境氧化还原电位与底物浓度的协同调控[1-2]。研究表明,甲烷氧化菌 [如甲基胞囊菌属(Methylocystis)]与铁还原菌[如地杆菌属(Geobacter)]的耦合作用可通过电子传递链重构驱动甲烷消减与铁矿物相变,这一过程不仅影响全球甲烷收支平衡,更揭示了微生物-矿物界面反应的深层机制[1-2]。微生物诱导碳酸盐沉淀(microbially induced carbonate precipitation, MICP)技术通过生物矿化作用强化土壤固碳能力,其工程化应用潜力在盐碱地改良与地层稳定性修复中得到验证。例如,通过筛选高效产脲酶菌株并优化培养条件,可实现碳酸钙沉淀对土壤孔隙结构的定向调控,显著提升土壤抗侵蚀性能[3-4]
页岩气藏微生物群落的代谢互作机制研究为非常规油气资源开发提供了新视角。研究表明,产甲烷菌与铁还原菌的协同代谢通过产甲烷-铁还原耦合机制影响烃类降解效率,其代谢效率受电子受体(如硫酸盐、铁氧化物)浓度的显著影响[5]。此外,稀土矿区铁还原菌通过胞外电子传递活化稀土元素,其代谢活性与稀土赋存形态、环境pH值密切相关,为战略性资源开发提供了新思路[6]
氮循环是地球生命系统的重要支柱,地质微生物通过多途径调控氮循环的氧化还原平衡。在硝化与反硝化作用方面,氨氧化古菌(ammonia-oxidizing archaea, AOA)与反硝化细菌的协同代谢主导陆地与海洋氮循环,其活性受环境pH、温度及有机质含量的显著影响[7]。腾格里沙漠沙蒿根际微生物通过固氮-碳固定耦合机制提升荒漠生态系统碳汇能力,其固氮效率受土壤含水量与有机碳含量的显著影响[8]
硫循环微生物通过氧化还原反应调控元素价态与能量流动,其作用机制在环境修复与资源开发中具有重要价值。嗜酸氧化亚铁硫杆菌(Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans)介导的黄铁矿氧化是酸性矿山排水(acid mine drainage, AMD)形成的关键过程,其代谢活性受铁硫比与pH的协同调控[2]。研究表明,AMD系统中硫氧化菌群落结构与矿物组成存在显著相关性,通过调控氧化还原电位可有效抑制酸性排水生成[2]。此外,磺胺甲恶唑(sulfamethoxazole, SMX)降解菌[如水生产碱菌(Alcaligenes aquatilis)]通过乙酰化与羟基化途径实现抗生素脱毒,其降解效率受盐度与电子供体(如NaNO₂)的调控[9]
铁循环是地球表层系统物质循环的重要纽带,微生物通过氧化还原反应驱动矿物相变与元素迁移。嗜酸氧化亚铁硫杆菌介导的花岗岩风化通过释放Ca²⁺、Mg²⁺等元素影响土壤酶活性与微生物群落结构[2]。研究表明,铁氧化菌的代谢活性与岩石矿物组成、环境温湿度呈显著正相关,其风化作用可显著改变土壤理化性质[2]
铁还原菌通过直接电子传递(direct electron transfer, DET)还原水铁矿,其代谢过程与甲烷生成、硝酸盐还原等过程形成耦合[1-2]。研究表明,铁还原菌的胞外电子传递能力受电子受体类型与浓度的显著影响,通过调控氧化还原电位可优化污染物降解效率[1-2]。此外,稀土矿区铁还原菌通过胞外电子传递活化稀土元素,其代谢活性与稀土赋存形态、环境pH值密切相关[6]
地质微生物在污染治理中展现出巨大应用潜力,其代谢机制与技术应用已成为环境科学的研究热点。石油烃降解菌群 [如假单胞菌属(Pseudomonas sp.) J-1]通过烷烃羟化酶与脂蛋白协同作用实现原油高效生物气化,其代谢过程受微塑料类型、粒径及浓度的显著影响[10-11]。研究表明,微塑料通过吸附有机污染物与改变微生物群落结构,显著抑制石油烃降解效率[11]
纳米零价铁与微生物的协同体系显著提升铬(Ⅵ)的还原效率,其作用机制涉及电子传递、胞内代谢及矿物沉淀等多重过程[12]。内生真菌通过分泌植物激素与铁载体同步增强宿主抗逆性与土壤重金属钝化能力,例如,Ophioceras leptosporum通过调控乙烯信号通路增强水稻对镉胁迫的耐受性[12]。微生物对微塑料的降解与转化机制研究[11]为破解塑料污染困局开辟了新路径,研究表明,假单胞菌(Pseudomonas)通过分泌酯酶与氧化酶降解聚酯类微塑料,其降解效率受微塑料类型与粒径的显著影响[11]
极端环境微生物通过独特代谢机制适应高压、高盐、高温等极端条件,其生存策略与生态功能研究为深地资源开发与太空探索提供了新思路。盐湖嗜盐菌 [如盐硫小杆菌属(Halothiobacillus)]通过相容溶质积累与离子泵调节适应高盐环境,其代谢活性受盐度与光照的协同调控[13-14]。研究表明,嗜盐菌的膜脂组成与离子转运蛋白基因表达水平随环境盐度变化显著,为其在高盐环境中的生存提供了分子基础[13-14]
地质微生物研究正迎来前所未有的发展机遇。本专刊收录的29篇论文,从极端环境适应机制到生物地球化学循环调控,从资源勘探技术到合成生物学创新,全方位展现了这一领域的蓬勃生机。我们相信,随着研究的深入,地质微生物将成为破解地球系统奥秘、推动可持续发展的重要战略资源。
