As the quality of onshore oil and gas resources in China tends to be inferior, the main old oilfields have generally entered an ultra-high water cut period, and oil and gas fields have entered a new stage of deep and fine development. Digital transformation and intelligent development thus become inevitable. The paper analyzes the current situation and trends of international intelligent oilfield technology development, the current situation of digital construction of onshore oil and gas field production in China, and the progress of intelligent exploration. It is pointed out that intelligent oil and gas fields in China in the future should focus on building a new intelligent oil and gas production ecosystem, improving the intelligent level of oil and gas production in the whole basin and under complex working conditions, developing an integrated production technology for oil reservoir engineering that automatically matches the injection and production ends of reservoirs, designing advanced intelligent completion technology and intelligent coordinated regulation system, and realizing the transformation of complex reservoir production from “lagging regulation” to “real-time optimization”.

As the quality of onshore oil and gas resources in China tends to be inferior, the main old oilfields have generally entered an ultra-high water cut period, and oil and gas fields have entered a new stage of deep and fine development. Digital transformation and intelligent development thus become inevitable. The paper analyzes the current situation and trends of international intelligent oilfield technology development, the current situation of digital construction of onshore oil and gas field production in China, and the progress of intelligent exploration. It is pointed out that intelligent oil and gas fields in China in the future should focus on building a new intelligent oil and gas production ecosystem, improving the intelligent level of oil and gas production in the whole basin and under complex working conditions, developing an integrated production technology for oil reservoir engineering that automatically matches the injection and production ends of reservoirs, designing advanced intelligent completion technology and intelligent coordinated regulation system, and realizing the transformation of complex reservoir production from “lagging regulation” to “real-time optimization”.
