The past two decades have seen the continuous development of structural technology in intelligent ammunition. As a result, the structural technologies characterized by the lightweight, high-overload resistance, variable configurations for intelligent ammunition have been formed. This paper is targeted at modern combat missions such as multi-task agile response, collaborative swarm attack, individual capacity improvement, long-range rapid arrival, and fire extension. It systematically summarizes the development status and key technical innovation of structural technologies for intelligent ammunition both at home and abroad after fully considering their development demand. After that, given the development requirements of future combats for intelligent ammunition, we clarify the technical development trends in five aspects to support the construction of the intelligent ammunition fire attack system in the future. These development trends are as follows: general, serial, and modular structure design, miniaturization and lightweight integrated structure design, low-disturbance and highly dynamic cluster dispersion and separation, multifunctional integrated structure design, and design and verification of ammunition structure with high reliability and high overload resistance.

The past two decades have seen the continuous development of structural technology in intelligent ammunition. As a result, the structural technologies characterized by the lightweight, high-overload resistance, variable configurations for intelligent ammunition have been formed. This paper is targeted at modern combat missions such as multi-task agile response, collaborative swarm attack, individual capacity improvement, long-range rapid arrival, and fire extension. It systematically summarizes the development status and key technical innovation of structural technologies for intelligent ammunition both at home and abroad after fully considering their development demand. After that, given the development requirements of future combats for intelligent ammunition, we clarify the technical development trends in five aspects to support the construction of the intelligent ammunition fire attack system in the future. These development trends are as follows: general, serial, and modular structure design, miniaturization and lightweight integrated structure design, low-disturbance and highly dynamic cluster dispersion and separation, multifunctional integrated structure design, and design and verification of ammunition structure with high reliability and high overload resistance.
