Intelligent and Connected Vehicle (ICV)-Road-Cloud collaboration is of great significance to the convergence and development of China’s intelligent vehicle transportation industry. In order to improve the application and operation standards of ICVs and enhance the technical implementation of intelligent assisted driving systems, this paper focuses on the working principles of the Intelligent and Connected Vehicle-Road-Cloud collaboration system framework and application architecture. Moreover, the research trends of key Vehicle-Road-Cloud technologies are analyzed, such as wireless communication technologies, fusion and positioning, testing and evaluation technologies of vehicles. The results of the analysis show that a new “Human-Vehicle-Road-Cloud” framework is needed to realize the development from single-vehicle intelligence to Vehicle-Road-Cloud collaboration technologies, and breakthroughs in cloud collaboration control models are urgently needed. The results of the study are beneficial for promoting the research of Vehicle-Road-Cloud collaboration in ICV, advancing the innovation change of ICV and providing technological reference and development direction.
