The application of Camera Monitor System (CMS) makes driving safer, more intelligent, more economical and more environmentally friendly. By tracking the development of electronic mirrors in the world’s leading commercial vehicle enterprises and summarizing relevant literatures, the disadvantages of rear-view mirrors, advantages of CMS and their market demand, technological development and regulatory environment are analyzed, and the development trend of CMS for commercial vehicles in China is predicted, and suggestions are put forward for the development of electronic mirrors industry. The results show that the CMS presents high technical complexity, high product value and high patent barrier. It is necessary for China to accelerate the introduction of regulations, stimulate the vehicle and spare parts enterprise to accelerate the pace of research, verification and product application, promote industry development and participate in international competition.

电子视镜的应用使驾驶更安全、更智能、更经济、更环保。通过跟踪世界领先商用车企业电子视镜的发展,综述相关文献,从后视镜的劣势,电子视镜的优势及其市场需求、技术发展、法规环境展开分析,并对我国商用车电子视镜的发展趋势做出预测,对电子视镜产业发展提出建议。结果表明当前电子视镜项目、电子视镜系统的发展,呈现出技术复杂程度高、产品价值高、专利壁垒高的特点。我国需加快法规出台,激发整车、零部件企业加快研发、验证、产品应用的步伐,促进行业发展,参与国际竞争。

The application of Camera Monitor System (CMS) makes driving safer, more intelligent, more economical and more environmentally friendly. By tracking the development of electronic mirrors in the world’s leading commercial vehicle enterprises and summarizing relevant literatures, the disadvantages of rear-view mirrors, advantages of CMS and their market demand, technological development and regulatory environment are analyzed, and the development trend of CMS for commercial vehicles in China is predicted, and suggestions are put forward for the development of electronic mirrors industry. The results show that the CMS presents high technical complexity, high product value and high patent barrier. It is necessary for China to accelerate the introduction of regulations, stimulate the vehicle and spare parts enterprise to accelerate the pace of research, verification and product application, promote industry development and participate in international competition.

近年来,随着汽车和电子摄像、视频显示、数据交互技术的发展,通过摄像头取代后视镜的电子视镜成为新趋势。电子视镜视野宽阔,不受外界环境影响,风阻小、人机交互性好,同时可扩展到自动驾驶领域。目前世界领先的商用车企业已经实现了电子视镜的商业化应用,产品持续更新迭代。然而,国内电子视镜的发展,面临法规未出台、技术门槛高、开发成本高、外企专利壁垒的困难。但用户不再满足后视镜的基本功能,期望应用更高端的电子视镜并拓展到自动驾驶。本文从电子视镜的优势、系统构成、市场需求、发展现状、法规环境5个维度展开分析,对电子视镜国内的产业发展提出建议。
后视镜主要存在以下4点劣势:视野盲区、易受环境影响、对整车风阻贡献大、缺少人机交互。
后视镜成像原理是光的反射,即地面或周围环境中的物体通过视镜镜面反射到人眼,因镜片大小及视线角度限制存在一定的盲区。当驾驶员过度信赖后视镜,潜在的风险就高,影响行车安全。根据GB 15084—2013《机动车辆间接视野装置性能和安装要求》,对于驾驶室II类主外后视镜、Ⅳ类广角镜的视野技术要求(图1图2),实际视镜视野较法规视野有一定的余量,但仍存在盲区[1]
由于后视镜盲区造成的交通事故在中国约占30%,美国约占20%。在高速公路上70%因变换车道所发生的交通事故是由后视镜盲区造成的[2]
特别是在挂车转弯时,挂车与牵引车驾驶室成较大的角度,导致驾驶员通过视镜只能观测到挂车的局部区域,整体的盲区很大,易将车边的行人等卷入车底,存在很大的安全隐患[3-4]图3为牵引车转弯的现场场景。驾驶员通过车窗观察,由于视镜遮挡,损失了一部分直接视野,也存在安全隐患。
雨雾、强光、弱光等恶劣环境直接影响驾驶员视线、镜面反射效果,使驾驶员无法正确、及时地做出驾驶判断,影响驾驶安全。雨雾天气、强光环境下的视镜,视野清晰程度明显下降。
根据GB 15084—2013《机动车辆间接视野装置性能和安装要求》[1]对后视镜有关镜片尺寸及位置的规定,后视镜外观、尺寸、造型难以有大的突破。但是,用户希望获得超过法规视野之外更大的视野,导致后视镜尺寸、总体质量增加,对整车风阻的贡献增大[5],后视镜引起的风阻约为整车风阻的2%~5%[6]图4是某车型的风阻分析。除此之外,后视镜对整车气动噪声的贡献大,且离驾驶员较近,影响驾驶员驾驶舒适性[7]
后视镜是人眼通过在视镜镜面光的反射获取车辆周边视野,如果驾驶员未主动观测、或车辆周边有突发情况,驾驶员就可能无法获知车辆周边的真实情况,容易造成交通事故。
电子视镜,即用电子方式取代后视镜,国际标准组织(ISO)称其为摄像头监控系统(Camera Monitor System, CMS)。图5是奔驰Actros电子视镜系统的驾驶室室外部分和驾驶室内部分。
CMS系统由图像采集、电子控制单元(Electronic Control Unit, ECU)控制器、图像显示3部分构成,如图6
图像采集由摄像头、物理防护2部分构成。物理防护包含:防抖动、加热、防挂水功能,主要为摄像头提供稳定、可靠的工作环境。
ECU控制器包含:双数据率随机存取存储器(Double Data-Rate Random-Access Memory, DDR RAM)、颜色管理、直播监视器、图像处理器、微控制器。图像处理器包含硬件部分和软件2部分,图像处理器通过低电压差分信号(Low-Voltage Differential Signaling, LVDS)驱动将图像信息传递到图像显示部分的图像信号处理(Image Signal Processing, ISP)视频流;微控制器通过CAN线与图像显示部门的网关交互信息。
图像显示中ISP视频流将前端图像信号处理,在面板上显示摄像头采集的画面。通过网关与整车电器进行协议转换、信息交互。CMS实现了通过电子化元件代替后视镜。
CMS摄像头视角灵活,摄像头的视域广,视觉覆盖面积更广阔。目前,商用车CMS外置摄像头装置基本布置在驾驶室顶盖,从车内观察车外状况时减少了后视镜的视线遮挡,直接视野更好。由于显示屏布置在驾驶室内A柱区域,驾驶员观察显示屏时头部摆动角度小,观察更方便。CMS可在车辆转向、倒车时,根据实际情况通过软件算法切换临时视野显示区域,提供比后视镜更加宽广的视角。在半挂牵引车转弯时,CMS可根据挂车提供的转向盘转动角度,使CAN信号通过软件相关算法切换显示图像区域,随动显示车辆的动态视野图像,场景随动是CMS的独特优势[8],解决了传统视镜挂车转弯时驾驶员看不到挂车两侧视野的问题。王丰元[9]设计的基于单片机的载货汽车后视镜转向随动系统,采集转向盘转角传感器数据,驱动后视镜电机工作,调整镜面角度、改变视野区域,而CMS是根据转向盘角度通过软件计算切换图像显示区域。CMS可通过摄像头的像素升级、显示器面板的像素升级提供更清晰的画面。
CMS的摄像头小巧,且摄像头周边环境壳体对其进行保护可不受雨雪天气影响。摄像头表面有一层疏水膜,可实现摄像头无挂水现象,如摄像头出现起雾、挂霜、结冰的情况,可通过摄像头区域的加热功能去除表面的雾、霜、冰层,保证摄像头输出的图像清晰。在外界光线不良时,如强光、光线过暗或光线闪烁等,均会导致成像质量变差,CMS通过2种方式提升成像质量:
(1)改变摄像头参数,如调节光圈、调整曝光时间;
(2)依靠图像控制器对图像进行处理,主动进行亮度调节,获得清晰的视野图像[10-11]
通过颜色管理、色调映射算法、白平衡、色彩控制、锐度控制方法还原真实图像和颜色。
与后视镜比,CMS外部硬件有效减小了车辆的迎风截面积,可降低风阻、减少能源消耗[12]。李少峰[13]通过计算流体力学(Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD)建模理论分析,电子视镜较后视镜在降低整车气动噪声和气动阻力方面优势明显。奔驰测试Actros车型采用了CMS后,减少油耗约1.5%[14],相对装配后视镜的车型,在车辆生命周期内,运营成本降低明显。
基于CMS的传感器和处理器,如果驾驶员观察不到位,系统会通过显示屏上方的警示灯以及语音提示进行提醒,遇到紧急情况时还会通过必要的紧急制动实现更理想的安全保证。CMS可扩展作为自动驾驶的“眼睛”,实时监控路况并结合人工智能实时处理数据并进行反馈,优化驾驶员的驾驶习惯,保证驾驶安全。CMS同时具备车辆周边环境的监视功能,夜晚停车如遇到驾驶室外有异响,在不拉开驾驶室窗帘的情况下,可直接启动CMS观察车外情况,省去开窗或下车等繁琐动作。
CMS需要满足车辆使用环境,同时拍摄效果、成像效果、显示效果的要求很高,这势必增加整车成本。但随着CMS在商用车市场逐渐推广、普及,以及电子摄像头、处理器芯片、显示屏技术的快速发展,CMS成本会有一定程度的下降。
CMS的市场需求主要来源于2个方面:
(1)商用车驾驶员对视野盲区改善、特殊天气视野的需求;
(2)对商用车整个生命周期降低风阻、降低油耗的需求。
驾驶员常常会遇到以下情景:由于视镜盲区导致的车辆事故,严重危及人员的生命安全,事故较轻的也会涉及车辆维修,同时降低车辆的出勤率,造成一定的经济损失;下雨天气特别是大到暴雨时,车窗玻璃、后视镜镜面一直处于雨水击打、存在雨幕的情况,驾驶安全无法得到保证,变道、转弯存在未知性,极易造成安全事故。CMS可以在恶劣天气通过驾驶室内显示屏提供间接视野,提高了环境适应性。
整车燃油消耗是车辆生命周期内除车辆购置费外最大的费用支出,任何降低油耗的技术均会是车辆生产企业和用户的选择,同时符合国家对油耗限值节能减排的趋势。
商用车行业正在大力推进CMS的技术研发、市场应用,本节主要分析CMS的发展现状。
2016年汉诺威车展上,奔驰在Urban e Truck纯电动概念卡车上首次展示了CMS;依维柯在其概念车上装配了CMS;德国曼公司在TGX牵引车上装配了CMS。
2018年汉诺威车展上,奔驰在新Actros、新Arocs多个车型上装配了CMS,同年奔驰CMS在Actros、Arocs系列重卡上开始批量生产交付。
2021年7月,德国曼公司CMS在TGX、TGS、TGM、TGL系列重卡批量生产交付。2021年6月达夫公司CMS在XF、XG车型批量生产交付。沃尔沃、斯堪尼亚均有装配CMS车型的量产交付。CMS技术的可靠性已经通过了验证,进入了商业化的应用。
2022年,奔驰发布新一代电子视镜系统-MirrorCam2.0。德国曼公司发布新的电子视镜系统-OptiView。
目前,国内商用车企业也在进行CMS的相关研发,但大部分处于技术开发、迭代优化、产品试制试验阶段,并无小批量生产。
欧洲法规ECE R46-2016《关于批准后视镜和就后视镜的安装方面批准机动车辆的统一规定》颁布确认允许CMS替代后视镜合法上路。2017年6月,日本作为UN-ECE成员国采用了ECE R46,CMS在日本可以合法上路。美国后视镜法规FMVSS 111规定车辆必须配备物理后视镜,尚不允许用CMS替代后视镜。
2019年7月,中国汽标委车身附件分委会对GB 15084《机动车辆 间接视野装置 性能和安装要求》CMS扩标启动了工作组会议。2020年3月,GB 15084标准起草工作组发布了《机动车辆 间接视野装置 性能和安装要求》征求意见稿,包含了CMS的相关术语定义、技术要求、试验、安装要求。2022年12月29日,GB 15084—2022《机动车辆 间接视野装置 性能和安装要求》增加了CMS的法规标准。
世界领先的商用车企业已经实现CMS量产,并得到了市场的验证与认可,技术层面已完全成熟,成本方面随着量产、零部件企业相继投入研发,CMS生产成本会逐渐下降。法规层面应尽快将CMS纳入标准,完善认证流程,可以极大地激活、推动CMS的商业化应用,充分挖掘整车企业和零部件的研发潜力、技术升级。CMS合规同时可推动国内企业研发产品,参与国际市场竞争。
赖立强等[15]分析了CMS专利国外主要的竞争对手有奥迪公司、康诺特电子、梅克朗等,且涉及CMS的诸多核心技术,目前国内企业的专利主要集中在图形用户界面、调节结构等非完全核心技术。中国的商用车企业和零部件企业,应加大对CMS的研发,同时开展对标研究,打破国外企业设置的专利壁垒、技术壁垒、商业壁垒。
CMS在驾驶安全、智能驾驶方面有重要作用,同时在降低风阻、噪声、能耗方面有较大的贡献[16],与目前中国提出并推动的“碳达峰”与“碳中和”战略相匹配,政府机构、行业协会、整车企业应加以引导和应用。因CMS研发、生产投入高,相关部门应给与一定的经济政策支持,促进CMS的商业推广。
(1)CMS具有巨大的市场需求,其视野宽阔、可应对恶劣环境、低风阻、低油耗、交互人性化的优点推动了CMS在商用车上率先应用的发展方向。
(2)欧洲商用车CMS商业化表明CMS的技术已成熟,国内CMS法规和认证流程仍需完善。
(3)国内企业在CMS研发、生产的同时,需规避国外企业专利壁垒,同时加强核心技术专利的申请。
(4)CMS在商用车上的应用具有极大的环保效益。
(5)要促进CMS在商用车上的大规模应用,还需在技术、法规、推广多方面开展工作。
