In order to improve the heating performance of fuel cell vehicles in low temperature environment, this paper analyzed the cold start process of fuel cell vehicles at low temperature, and analyzed the principle, advantages and disadvantages of heat pump heating system and Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) heating system. Taking a fuel cell bus as an example, the application of PTC heating system in a fuel cell vehicle is analyzed by means of real vehicle test. The research results show that PTC heating is the most suitable vehicle heating method in low temperature environment, fuel cell bus due to the large interior space, the temperature rise rate is slow, and specific suggestions are given for the current vehicle heating scheme. The heat pump heating system has higher energy utilization efficiency, the fuel cell thermal management scheme is very important to improve the driving range, strengthen the heat exchange between the heating system and the interior space to improve the interior heating speed.

为了提高燃料电池汽车在低温环境下的采暖性能,对燃料电池汽车低温冷启动过程进行了梳理,分析了热泵采暖系统和PTC采暖系统的原理以及优缺点,并以一款燃料电池公交车为例,利用实车测试的方法分析了PTC采暖系统在燃料电池汽车中的应用。研究结果表明,PTC采暖是目前最适用于低温环境下的汽车采暖方式,燃料电池公交车由于车内空间较大,温度升高的速率较慢。热泵采暖系统具有更高的能量利用效率,燃料电池热管理方案对于改善续驶里程很重要,强化采暖系统与车内空间的换热提升车内升温速度。

为了提高燃料电池汽车在低温环境下的采暖性能,对燃料电池汽车低温冷启动过程进行了梳理,分析了热泵采暖系统和PTC采暖系统的原理以及优缺点,并以一款燃料电池公交车为例,利用实车测试的方法分析了PTC采暖系统在燃料电池汽车中的应用。研究结果表明,PTC采暖是目前最适用于低温环境下的汽车采暖方式,燃料电池公交车由于车内空间较大,温度升高的速率较慢。热泵采暖系统具有更高的能量利用效率,燃料电池热管理方案对于改善续驶里程很重要,强化采暖系统与车内空间的换热提升车内升温速度。

In order to improve the heating performance of fuel cell vehicles in low temperature environment, this paper analyzed the cold start process of fuel cell vehicles at low temperature, and analyzed the principle, advantages and disadvantages of heat pump heating system and Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) heating system. Taking a fuel cell bus as an example, the application of PTC heating system in a fuel cell vehicle is analyzed by means of real vehicle test. The research results show that PTC heating is the most suitable vehicle heating method in low temperature environment, fuel cell bus due to the large interior space, the temperature rise rate is slow, and specific suggestions are given for the current vehicle heating scheme. The heat pump heating system has higher energy utilization efficiency, the fuel cell thermal management scheme is very important to improve the driving range, strengthen the heat exchange between the heating system and the interior space to improve the interior heating speed.

在国家节能减排和“双碳”目标的背景下,燃料电池汽车(Fuel Cell Vehicle,FCV)受到了越来越多的关注,国内外的汽车厂商纷纷推出不同的FCV车型,FCV产销量在近几年取得了爆发式增长[1-2]。然而,FCV在技术方面仍然存在很多不足,例如燃料电池电堆的耐久性问题、低温冷启动问题等,其中低温冷启动问题是制约FCV在寒冷地区推广应用的重要因素,也是国内外研究人员重点攻关的问题之一。目前,经过一系列技术和控制策略方面的优化,FCV的低温冷启动问题已得到初步改善[3-4]。在北京冬奥会期间,FCV示范运行也取得了良好效果。FCV的低温冷启动不应只关注车辆能否正常启动和行驶,车辆采暖效果也是影响驾驶员及乘客舒适性的一个重要指标。因此,对FCV在低温冷启动过程中的采暖进行研究具有重要意义[5]
本文对FCV常用的采暖方式进行了分析,对比了热泵采暖系统和PTC采暖系统的原理和特点,并且以一款燃料电池公交车为例,分析了低温冷启动过程中的采暖效果,提出了进一步提升采暖效果的研究方向。
目前车辆使用的采暖方式主要有2种,一种是热敏电阻(Positive Temperature Coefficient,PTC)加热采暖,另一种是热泵采暖。除此之外,还有少部分车辆采用废气余热采暖[6],但是相对于燃油车,FCV的废气温度较低,并不适合采用废气余热采暖的方式。
热泵采暖系统基于逆卡诺循环,如图1所示[7]。压缩机为冷却液的循环提供动力,并且将制冷剂蒸气压缩,使制冷剂蒸气在车内换热器内冷凝放热,为车内提供热量。采用四通阀可以改变制冷剂的流动方向,从而实现夏季制冷、冬季制热的功能[8-9]
热泵系统的一个工作循环的制热量为:

因此热泵系统的制热COP为:

式中,hahbhd分别为冷却液在不同状态下对应的比焓值,显然COP>1。
热泵系统可以很大程度利用冷却液的相变潜热,优点是能量利用效率更高[10],并且集制冷和制热的功能于一体,使机舱内的装置更加紧凑,但是由于现用R134a为制冷剂的热泵空调低温时产生的热量不足,所以在低于-10 ℃的环境中还需采用PTC电加热作为辅助采暖[11]
PTC采暖系统采用电源供电,即热敏电阻产生的热量为冷却液加热,冷却液的热量通过暖风散热器进入车辆中,如图2所示。PTC采暖系统的出风口一般位于靠近驾驶员和乘客足部的位置,也有一部分公交车的出风口位于车辆顶部。
PTC采暖系统的优点是在任何的环境温度下都可以工作,并且PTC的阻值会随自身温度的变化而变化:当自身温度降低时,阻值也会随之减小,从而使PTC的发热量增加。PTC加热器的输出功率为:

PTC与冷却液之间的热量传递方式属于强制对流换热,其热流密度可以用牛顿冷却公式进行计算[12]

式中,tPTCtf分别表示PTC和冷却液的温度;h为表面换热系数,可以用Dittus-Boelter公式进行计算:

PTC采暖系统的制热效率为:

式中,A为PTC的表面积;qpump为冷却液循环泵消耗的功率;qptc为PTC加热器的输出功率。
强制对流换热方式的表面换热系数一般要高于自然对流换热,然而PTC采暖所使用的冷却液不涉及相变过程,而且PTC热敏电阻和冷却液循环泵都会消耗能量,所以能量利用效率不如热泵高,会缩短车辆的续驶里程,并且PTC采用的电加热方式在安全方面也存在一定的隐患。但是当FCV在低温环境下工作时,PTC采暖仍然是目前最理想的方案[13]
本文分析了一款燃料电池公交车在低温启动过程中,开启PTC采暖系统后的车内温度变化。该款车辆同时使用燃料电池堆和动力电池作为动力源,基本参数如表1所示。车辆采用PTC采暖的方式,内部一共有个7出风口,分别位于司机脚下和车厢内部前排、中排、后排的左右两侧乘客的脚部,车厢内部的出风口从前向后依次命名为第1出风口、第2出风口、第3出风口,如图3所示。
GB/T 12782—2007 《汽车采暖性能要求和试验方法》[14]中要求,在环境温度(-25±3) ℃下试验进行到40 min或在环境温度(-15±2) ℃下试验进行到35 min时,汽车采暖性能应满足如下要求:
(1)驾驶员、副驾驶员足部位置的环境温度不小于15 ℃;
(2)乘客足部位置环境温度不小于12 ℃;
(3)驾驶员、副驾驶员头部位置环境温度比足部温度低2~5 ℃。
上述要求中,驾驶员头部的测温点位于驾驶员左耳外侧20 mm处,足部测温点位于距客厢内壁100 mm、地板上表面20 mm、前后方向距离驾驶员头部测温点500 mm处;乘员足部测温点位于距客厢内壁100 mm、地板上表面20 mm、前后方向距乘员右耳500 mm处;车外环境温度测点位于右后视镜中心距镜面20 mm处。在测试过程中,需要启动全部采暖装置,并调到最大采暖位置。
GB/T 18386.1—2021 《电动汽车能量消耗量和续驶里程试验方法第一部分:轻型汽车》[15]也提出了低温环境开启暖风装置制热状态下能量消耗量和续驶里程试验方法。
本文采用热电偶测试了车辆内不同位置处的温度,例如出风口温度、驾驶员头部和足部温度、不同位置处乘客的头部和足部温度。出风口位置处的热电偶测点位于距离出风口100 mm处,驾驶员和乘客的头部及足部处的热电偶测点均按照GB/T 12782—2022中的要求进行布置。另外,本文也分别测试了车辆的燃料电池和动力电池的输出功率。
本文的试验流程如下:
(1)将车辆在环境舱中降温至目标温度,然后静置12 h;
(2)开启车辆低压电源为动力电池加热;
(3)待动力电池温度升高到指定值后,动力电池启动,为燃料电池堆加热;
(4)待燃料电池堆温度升高到指定值后,燃料电池堆启动;
(5)待燃料电池堆能够稳定运行后,开启PTC采暖系统,使PTC采暖系统以最大功率模式持续工作40 min以上。
在本文的试验中,车辆一直处于怠速状态,燃料电池堆和动力电池所输出的所有能量全部用于采暖系统的能量消耗。
本文测试的FCV在-30.0 ℃的环境中启动时的能量变化如图4所示。可以看出在启动的前280 s,动力电池和燃料电池并没有功率输出,说明在此阶段是蓄电池在为动力电池加热。在第281 s时,动力电池开始工作,为燃料电池堆加热,此时的动力电池输出功率较小。在第462 s以后,燃料电池堆启动,先以较小的功率运行,待输出电压和电流稳定以后再以70 kW左右较高功率稳定运行。在燃料电池堆可以正常工作后,动力电池功率出现负值,说明此时燃料电池堆正在为动力电池充电,燃料电池堆和动力电池功率的差值为车辆电源的总输出功率。在第506 s时,车辆开启PTC采暖,在此阶段中燃料电池堆既为PTC采暖系统提供能量,也为动力电池充电,其中PTC采暖系统消耗的功率为20~30 kW。
车辆在低温冷启动过程中环境温度和出风口的温度变化如图5所示。热电偶测得环境温度值在1 800 s和3 200 s左右出现了2次波动,这是由于测试人员上下车对车辆进行操作时开关车门导致,并且测得的温度值在升高之后又降低至-30 ℃,这说明车外的环境温度一直维持在-30 ℃。
车辆在第506 s开启PTC采暖,此时车辆内部出风口的温度迅速升高,从图5可以看出第1出风口的温度升高速率最快,其次是第2出风口,第3出风口的温度升高地最慢,这是由于车辆的冷却液存储于尾部,第3出风口位于PTC冷却液管路的上游,所以冷却液在刚进入第3出风口处的加热器时的初始温度较低,而在进入第2和第1出风口时的初始温度已经有所上升。出风口的温度在开启PTC加热的初始阶段升高速率较快,而后升高速率逐渐减慢,第1出风口的温度稳定在30~40 ℃之间,第3出风口的温度稳定在20 ℃。
驾驶员和部分乘客足部温度变化如图6所示。从不同测点处的温度变化可以看出,左后排乘客的足部温度最高,与右前排、驾驶员、左前排的温度相差不大,右后排乘客的足部温度最低,由此可以推测出车内PTC冷却液的流动方向是从车辆的右后方进入,在车内逆时针流动一周后从左后方流出;驾驶员的足部温度高于头部,这是因为出风口的暖风会向车辆上部聚集。从第506 s启动PTC采暖系统开始,40 min内驾驶员的足部温度没有升高到15 ℃以上,头部温度也没有升高到10 ℃以上,乘客位置只有左后排乘客足部的温度升高到12 ℃以上。整个车辆内部只有左后排乘客处的温度达到GB/T 12782—2022[14]的要求。
部分乘客足部和头部温度变化对比如图7所示。可以看出不同位置处的乘客头部温度相差不大,主要是因为暖风从出风口进入客舱后会向客舱上部流动,所以客舱上部的温度分布会比下部更均匀,不同位置乘客头部的温度在启动PTC采暖系统后的40 min内均没有升高到20 ℃以上。
从试验结果来看,该款燃料电池公交车在低温冷起动过程中大部分位置处的温度都没有达到GB/T 12782—2022[14]相关要求,主要原因有以下4个方面。
(1)冷启动的环境温度为-30 ℃,低于标准中提到的(-25±3) ℃的要求,车辆的初始温度过低并且与环境的温差较大会导致温度升高速率减慢。
(2)标准中提出的采暖性能要求是针对所有车辆类型,包括乘用车和商用车,而公交车由于客舱空间较大,因此温升速率较慢。
(3)该款燃料电池公交车的尺寸较大,而车内的出风口数量较少,因此采暖系统和车内空间的换热不够充分。
(4)试验过程中整辆车内只有1名操作人员,如果车内坐有乘客,乘客也可以作为热源,也会加快车内温度升高。
本文分析了汽车热泵采暖系统和PTC采暖系统的原理和特点,并且以一款燃料电池公交车为例分析了PTC采暖系统在公交车中的应用效果,结果表明:
(1)热泵采暖系统具有更高的能量利用效率,但是车辆在低于-10 ℃的环境下工作时,只能采用PTC采暖的方式,因此在寒冷环境下工作的车辆必须装备PTC采暖系统。考虑到对车辆整体能量利用效率的优化,可以采用低温下使用PTC采暖、常温或高温下使用热泵的方式。
(2)对于燃料电池汽车,车辆的能量来源主要为燃料电池堆和动力电池,PTC采暖系统工作时会消耗掉一部分能量,会缩短车辆的续驶里程,也会影响到车辆正常工作,因此优化燃料电池汽车的能量管理方案至关重要。
(3)燃料电池公交车由于车内空间较大,因此温度升高速率较慢,建议采用增加出风口数量、增大冷却液流量的方式,强化采暖系统与车内空间换热。
(4)燃料电池汽车处于非怠速工况时,电堆的工作会产生更多的热量,因此在未来可以针对燃料电池汽车低温冷启动中的采暖过程进行研究。
