Range-Extend Electric Vehicle(REEV) has stronger adaptability to user scenarios. To study the current market status of REEV, this paper discusses the advantages and disadvantages of REEV from the users’ perspective, specifically focusing on the analysis of the advantages of REEV in terms of driving range (especially low-temperature driving range) and user experience. Consequently, the user portrait of REEV is sorted out. The results show that REEV has great attraction to users with mileage anxiety in cold climates who prefers the pure electric driving experience, and have development space in the next decade.

增程式电动汽车具有更强的用户场景适应性。为了研究增程式电动汽车的市场现状,从用户视角探讨了增程式电动汽车相比于与其他类型新能源汽车的优劣势,重点分析增程式电动汽车在续驶能力(尤其是低温续驶能力)、使用体验方面的优势,据此分析整理出其用户画像。结果表明,增程式电动汽车对于低温地区、存在里程焦虑且偏好纯电动驾驶体验的用户具备较大吸引力,在未来5~10年具备发展空间。

Range-Extend Electric Vehicle(REEV) has stronger adaptability to user scenarios. To study the current market status of REEV, this paper discusses the advantages and disadvantages of REEV from the users’ perspective, specifically focusing on the analysis of the advantages of REEV in terms of driving range (especially low-temperature driving range) and user experience. Consequently, the user portrait of REEV is sorted out. The results show that REEV has great attraction to users with mileage anxiety in cold climates who prefers the pure electric driving experience, and have development space in the next decade.

增程式电动汽车(Range-Extend Electric Vehicle, REEV)作为插电式混合动力汽车的一种,其市场份额呈上升趋势。本文所讨论的REEV,特指串联式插电混合动力汽车,该类型汽车依赖纯电力驱动,并配备外部充电设备和发动机供电系统。REEV被视为一种向BEV过渡的有效方案,在电池技术和充电基础设施尚未完善之前,其可占据一定的市场份额[1-6],相比于纯电动乘用车,从长期发展趋势来看增程式市场空间有限[7-9]。本文采用“SWOT”分析法,深入对比REEV的优势、劣势、市场发展机会及潜在威胁,以场景化用户体验为切入点,深入剖析REEV的优、劣势及目标用户群体,旨在为REEV的发展提出建议。
从国家利益、企业利益、用户利益3个维度对REEV、并联式PHEV及BEV进行评价,评价结果如表1所示。
可以看出,REEV在用户利益维度上的评价存在明显优势:
(1)电池寿命长。试验结果表明,轻度使用、短充短放可以延长电池寿命。REEV的驱动模式决定其可以自动调节至电池最佳使用状态。在发动机可供电的前提下,通过程序控制,电池电量一直保持在合理区间,有效延长电池寿命。
(2)续驶能力优势明显。在长途驾驶场景中,BEV的低温电耗增加、续驶里程降低的问题明显暴露。REEV由于可以使用燃油动力持续发电保证车辆行驶,其续驶里程大幅增加,在长途驾驶场景中,尤其是低温条件下,具有明显优势。
(3)油耗低、效率高。由于发动机在低功率状态下热效率低,传统燃油汽车及并联式PHEV燃油行驶情况下低速行驶时只能使用低效工况,而REEV可以在高效工况下发电驱动,多余电量可充入电池继续驱动车辆,燃油经济性更佳。
REEV存在以下2点劣势:
(1)成本高。REEV造车成本更高昂。仅驱动系统成本,REEV比并联式PHEV高约2万元。根据未来电池价格走势(图1),电池价格将大幅下降,成本劣势将会得到缓解。除了造车成本将转化为用户的购车成本外,REEV的残值也较低,这反向增加了用户购车成本。
(2)技术难度高,技术储备低,空间布局难度大。REEV驱动结构中增加的增程器带来一系列技术难点,例如:发动机噪声、复杂的散热系统等,这些技术难点加大了空间布局规划的复杂性。
结合REEV、并联式PHEV和BEV车型的使用特点,分析了其在多种使用场景下的优、劣势,分析结果如表2所示。
表2可以看出,REEV在市区代步和短途驾驶场景中相比于并联式PHEV有明显优势,在长途驾驶场景中相比于BEV有明显优势。
新能源汽车用户对于纯电行驶的体验感和经济性有较高需求。纯电行驶体验对续驶里程的要求并不特别强烈,表2列举的3个场景均可保证一定程度的纯电行驶体验感。经济性方面,市区通勤及短途场景下,由于路况拥堵,车辆电耗或油耗明显提升,结合充电便利性,用户对纯电续驶里程的最普遍要求为单次充电可保证市区通勤一周左右(约150~200 km)。该场景下,REEV较并联式PHEV更具优势。依据REEV特性,其可以很好地解决纯电动汽车低温续驶问题、并联式PHEV驾驶体验感差的问题,因此REEV综合使用体验最佳。
综上分析,REEV具备显著市场潜力。然而,当前阶段主流汽车制造商并未将REEV作为发展重点,存在以下2点原因:首先是企业战略问题,传统汽车制造商的核心竞争力在于燃油车市场,因此将REEV作为主要业务方向并不符合其优势所在;其次是成本问题,与并联式PHEV相比,REEV的电池容量通常较大,约为30 kW·h,而并联式PHEV的电池容量一般在10~15 kW·h。此外,REEV需要配备较大功率的发电机,这些因素共同导致了REEV的制造成本高于并联式PHEV。上述原因是企业发展REEV面临的市场威胁,开发不慎可能导致企业利润的损失。
当前市场上主流新能源车型仍为BEV及并联式PHEV。BEV车型中,续驶里程在400~600 km、价格在15~35万元的车型最为普遍(图2)。并联式PHEV车型中,续驶里程分布在60~100 km、价格在20~50万元的车型最为普遍(图3)。目前市场上成熟的REEV量产车型极少,若有企业能够攻克技术壁垒,填补这一市场空白不失为企业的机遇。
根据REEV的用户画像,从以下3方面进行分析:
(1)政策方面:一线城市上牌名额紧张,对新能源车辆需求迫切;
(2)经济方面:一线城市人均收入明显高于二、三线城市人均收入;
(3)基础设施:一线城市充电桩配比明显高于其他城市。根据公开资料[10],2024年2月全国TOP10充电桩保有地区如图4图5所示。
由上述分析可知,REEV在低温地区如北方地区可以获得更多用户群体,而一线城市的充电设施建设又遥遥领先于其余地区,因此建议在北方一线城市如北京、天津投放REEV车型。
当前,新能源汽车正处于井喷式发展的初期阶段,BEV和并联式PHEV购车补贴已取消或即将取消,不具备价格上的明显优势,因此REEV市场面临商机。预计到2025年,新能源汽车技术将取得一定的突破,燃油车市场开始呈衰落趋势。到2030年,燃料电池基础设施将得到充分发展,电池技术壁垒将取得重大突破[11],燃料电池汽车与BEV将成为市场主流车型。REEV生命周期拟合曲线如图6所示。
在预测时间框架内,REEV将经历3个显著的发展阶段。2021~2024年,REEV处于快速研发的成长期;2024~2030年,REEV将处于稳定发展的成熟期;2030年后,REEV将进入衰退期。因此其最佳开发窗口期为2022~2030年,目前仍处于开发窗口期内。
综上所述,REEV对具有里程焦虑、低温焦虑以及偏好纯电驾驶体验的用户群体具有更强的市场吸引力,能为其提供更为优越的用户体验。在电池技术取得显著进展前,REEV在北方市场仍将拥有近10年的发展机遇,其市场空间巨大。为此,建议从纯电续驶里程、成本、质量品质以及充电便利性4个方面对REEV产品的用户体验进行优化提升。该结论也与《节能与新能源汽车技术路线图2.0[12]对于中国新能源产业规划的发展方向相吻合。然而,本文的研究中仍存在缺乏实际用户数据验证的问题,未来研究将依据实际用户满意度等统计数据,对本文观点进行更为深入的验证和确认。
