In order to analyze the crucial role of the Steer-By-Wire (SBW) system in intelligent driving and its integrated application with the chassis control system, this paper focuses on the architecture and functions of the SBW system, including the fully redundant hardware architecture and variable steering ratio function. It also explores the vehicle application of the system, such as the calibration of the variable steering ratio and the matching of road-feel feedback. The paper also proposes an optimal basic road-feel feedback function scheme, as well as processes and methods for vehicle application suitable for the variable steering ratio and road-feel feedback of the SBW system, providing technical support for the development and engineering application of the SBW system.

In order to analyze the crucial role of the Steer-By-Wire (SBW) system in intelligent driving and its integrated application with the chassis control system, this paper focuses on the architecture and functions of the SBW system, including the fully redundant hardware architecture and variable steering ratio function. It also explores the vehicle application of the system, such as the calibration of the variable steering ratio and the matching of road-feel feedback. The paper also proposes an optimal basic road-feel feedback function scheme, as well as processes and methods for vehicle application suitable for the variable steering ratio and road-feel feedback of the SBW system, providing technical support for the development and engineering application of the SBW system.

随着汽车技术的快速发展,转向系统经历了机械转向系统、液压助力转向系统(Hydraulic Power Steering, HPS)和电动助力转向系统(Electric Power Steering, EPS)三个重要阶段。目前,EPS凭借其节能环保和随速助力的优点,显著提升了驾驶稳定性和舒适性,成为广泛应用的主流转向系统。随着智能网联汽车的兴起,失效可操作的系统变得至关重要,以应对某些驾驶场景下难以控制的转向助力丧失(Steering Loss of Assistance, SLoA)情况。全冗余EPS系统可满足ASIL D等级要求。同时,为了实现更高阶的智能驾驶并与底盘控制系统更好地融合,线控转向(Steer-By-Wire, SBW)系统取消了转向盘与转向轮之间的机械连接,采用电信号传递与控制[1-2]
线控转向系统具有诸多优势:电子信号传输,可实现延迟更低,控制更精准[3];转向盘和转向轮解耦,在自动泊车等工况下,驾驶员小角度转动转向盘即可提醒驾驶员车辆的运动方向,无需大角度转向;可过滤从路面传到转向盘上的振动,也可实现真实路感的模拟[4];布置更灵活,管柱的伸缩范围得到了提升;可实现变传动比功能,驾驶员在泊车等工况无需交叉手[5]。目前,线控转向是汽车底盘一体化集成控制的因素之一,是实现L3及更高阶智能驾驶的核心技术之一[6]。特斯拉Cybertruck是国际上首个搭载线控转向系统的量产车型,蔚来ET9是国内首个获得工信部认可的搭载线控转向系统的量产车型;智己和小鹏也在研发线控转向系统中,搭载线控转向系统的车型预计在2025和2026年量产。小米和赛力斯等整车企业也都在布局线控转向系统。
本文旨在深入分析线控转向系统的优势,探讨其在实现L3及更高级别智能驾驶中的关键作用,并研究其与底盘控制系统的集成应用,为推动智能网联汽车的发展提供技术支持和理论依据。
全冗余线控转向系统由全冗余上转—转向盘执行器(Steering Wheel Actuator, SWA)和全冗余下转—转向齿条执行器(Steering Rack Actuator, SRA)组成,如图1所示。基于整车供电和通信,在硬件和软件双重保障下,此硬件架构具有较高的可靠性。
上转主路和下转主路来自于整车同一路供电和同一路CAN通信;上转辅路和下转辅路来自于整车另外一路供电和CAN通信。
上转和下转之间通过私CAN进行信号的传输。上转电子控制单元(Electronic Control Unit, ECU)为将变比计算后的请求角度传输给下转,作为车辆执行的首要输入条件[7];下转将估算的齿条力反馈给上转,作为路感模拟重要的输入条件[8]。整车外部角度传感器(external SAS, eSAS)和线控转向内部的角度信号同步作校验,提高可用性。
图1所示的右半部分为全冗余上转向,其中扭矩与角度传感器(Torque and Angle Sensor, TAS)由扭矩(Torque)和转角传感器(Steering Angle Sensor, SAS)组成,转子位置传感器(Rotor-position-sensor, RPS)为 转向盘转角(Steering Wheel Angle, SWA)传感器信号,车速等来自于整车总线信号。
在转向系统正常工作且其电子控制单元和传感器未降级的情况下,主逻辑控制器上转ECU_A计算各功能模块(路感反馈模块、回正、阻尼模拟等)所需的请求电机力矩,并平分为二。其中一半扭矩通过上转ECU_A软件中的电机矢量控制单元(Field-Oriented Control, FOC),控制半边三相电路桥中的晶体管(Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistors, MOSFETs)的开关改变电流的大小,达到控制电机输出一半扭矩[9]
上转ECU_A计算的另外一半请求的电机扭矩会通过IPC传输至ECU_B,通过冗余的FOC机制控制冗余的三相桥的MOSFETs,从而控制另外一半扭矩的输出。
SAS角度传感器为RPS提供上电初始角度零位,且和RPS计算的角度信号作校验,输出转角信号到ECU。
图1所展示的左半部分为全冗余下转向,相对于传统的EPS,取消了扭矩传感器,仅仅保留了角度传感器SAS。主逻辑控制器下转ECU_A计算角度跟随模块的请求扭矩,也是平分为二,分别控制2个三相电机的扭矩输出,响应上转向请求的角度信号,使得下转齿条执行相同的位置,达到车辆的横向控制。
线控转向是继液压转向,电子助力转向系统后的一种新型转向系统,如下介绍了相较于传统转向系统新的功能模块。
在线控转向系统中,取消中间轴后,转向盘角度可以经过传动比放大。可以根据驾驶员的喜好设计汽车转向的角传递特性,低速行驶时,大转向比可以减少转弯时转向盘转动的角度,提供泊车的舒适性;高速行驶时,小转向比可获得更好的直线行驶性能,提升高速小角度的稳定性。
假设定比功能匹配的传动比为Cfm,通过二维查表法查出Cfe,查表输入是车速和转向盘转角αs,经过变比后的请求角度:

对于下转向系统而言,拉杆和齿条机械连接,拉杆是三维运动,齿条是水平方向移动。因此,转向齿条力是拉杆力的水平分力,也就是转向系统的外在阻力。广义齿条力的估算,根据等效系统动力学方程[10]公式可推导为:

式中:is为电机扭矩和齿条力的换算比,由机械结构决定;J为转子惯量,由电机转子的选型和设计决定;α为电机转子加速度;Mm为下转向机端输出的电机扭矩;Mf为估算的转向机系统摩擦。
由于线控转向系统取消了机械连接,驾驶者感受不到路面的反馈,因此需要在转向盘上施加一套控制单元,从而实现路感反馈。
下转向执行器估算的齿条力,通过私CAN传输到路感模拟模块作为输入条件,输出电机扭矩。此外,结合回正功能,阻尼功能和稳定性模块等[11],提供给驾驶员真实的路感反馈,实现优异的手感反馈。具体的方案介绍在2.1.1小节中介绍。
传统的机械可变齿轮比率(Variable Gear Ratio, VGR)系统,其转向传动比仅随转向角度变化而变化。该系统通过机械设计实现,其齿轮在靠近转向齿条中心位置处分布更为密集,而靠近两侧位置时则更加稀疏。这使得车辆在小角度转向时反应相对较慢,但在较大转向角度下反应速度相对较快。与传统机械VGR系统相比,线控转向系统因采用电子信号传输,其转向传动比可依据转角及车速双重因素进行变化。在此基础上,本项目在整车上尝试了多种转向变比调校方案,旨在为后续车型的开发提供坚实的数据基础与技术支持[12]
图2描述了四种不同的可变传动比的标定策略,其中横轴表示车速,纵轴表示该车速下的单边转向盘最大转角。在车速超过60 km/h时,最大转向盘行程也为最大的齿条行程,保持和传统的EPS一样的线角传动比。
变比1:在0~15 km/h车速范围内,转向盘最大转角始终保持200°;当车速为15~60 km/h时,转向盘最大转角随车速线性变化。
变比2:在0~15 km/h车速范围内,转向盘最大转角始终保持220°;当车速为15~60 km/h时,转向盘最大转角随车速线性变化。
变比3:在0~7 km/h车速范围内,转向盘最大转角始终保持220°;当车速为7~60 km/h时,转向盘最大转角随车速梯度线性变化。
变比4:在0~7 km/h车速范围内,转向盘最大转角始终保持240°;当车速为7~60 km/h,转向盘最大转角随车速梯度线性变化。
通过对以下的实际驾驶场景工况进行了评估和对比进行方案选择。
低速场景:车速≤7 km/h主要对应泊车场景。
城市道路场景:车速=15 km/h主要对应U型掉头弯场景;车速=25 km/h为典型城市工况;车速=45 km/h则对应乡村道路工况。
中高速场景:60 km/h≤车速≤80 km/h为高架路工况。
在变比1和变比2方案中,选择变比2方案。因为变比1方案的最大转向盘角度为200°,对应的线角传动比最大,车辆的舒适性较差,正常速度转向,车辆的横摆响应太迅速,车上的驾驶员和乘客普遍感受不舒适。在变比3和变比4方案中,选择了变比3方案。因为220°的最大转向盘角度与240°的最大转向盘角度相比,驾驶员可以实现不换手转向,保证泊车场景的舒适性。
变比2方案和变比3方案的主要区别是:变比3方案在车速>7 km/h后,线角传动比迅速增加,当车速达到15 km/h时,转向盘转角为360°,这使车辆整体的横摆响应更加舒适。对于配备全幅转向盘的车辆,基于确保驾驶员在大部分场景下无需换手且保证整车舒适性的考量,倾向于选择变比2方案。而对于采用Yoke半幅转向盘的车辆,变比3方案更合适,以确保驾驶员在所有场景下均无需换手。
然而,针对变比3方案,在低车速下的舒适性仍存在提升空间。为此尝试了以下策略,经验证后方案2~方案4有效。
方案1:叠加随转角变化。在中心区15°内,使线角传动比接近于传统转向,并随转角逐步增大。但是由于总的上转有效行程不变,缩短中心区的线角传动比,必将导致非中心区的线角传动比增大。
方案2:当车辆配置CDC可变阻尼悬架时,可选择最软的悬架配置。
方案3:增加大转角下的手力。
方案4:增加随转速的手力,当转速达到500(°)/s后,额外叠加随转速梯度变化的阻力,以降低驾驶员的转向速度,从而提高车辆稳定性。
可变传动比系统的引入,使低车速且可变传动比随车速变化的情况下,车速越高,上转向的行程越长。若满舵情况下开始减速,由于软限位功能出力,导致打手问题。
为了解决上述问题,引入了相应的软件策略:一旦软限位模块扭矩输出>0.1 N·m,便锁定该车速下的变比,使变比功能的车速输入保持不变;当转向角度<5°或车速重新增加至设定车速时,解除对车速下变比的锁定,变比功能的车速输入恢复为实际车速。
目前,有2种不同的路感反馈模块方案,在最初开发阶段了采用了策略一[13]:根据齿条力计算上转向电机的出力扭矩,通过查表获取齿条力对应的反力大小(不是助力),以此模拟路感反馈,因转向系统无机械连接,只需通过电机出力提供反力以获得相应手感。然而,该策略存在2个弊端:
(1)整车转向手感会受到多模式选择(Driving Mode Switch, DMS)的影响。在舒适模式下,低车速时要求较轻的手感,但为了满足低车速时良好的回正表现以及克服上转向系统的机械摩擦,即使路感反馈模块出力为0,也无法满足较小手力的手感要求。
(2)手力轻重和在坏路的路感反馈密切相关。若想获得较强的路感反馈,则基于齿条力的电机扭矩出力需相应增大,这将导致正常驾驶工况下手力过重,无法满足实际驾驶者的手感要求。
鉴于上述问题,策略2应运而生:在齿条力输出的电机扭矩(反力)模块的基础上,再叠加基于手力的助力模块作为总的路感模拟模块。这样既可以保证在路况不佳时提供强路感反馈,又能满足正常路面行驶时手力轻重的合力需求。
上转向路感反馈的流程和方法如图3所示。
估算的齿条力作为上转路感模拟的重要输入条件,必须确保此信号的准确性。拉杆力是转向机外部的输入条件,首先,要保证估算的齿条力和拉杆力在幅值和相位上匹配。验证的工况包括:在不同的车速(0 km/h、5 km/h、10 km/h、15 km/h、20 km/h、30 km/h)下,将转向盘从中位往左转到末端,再往右转到末端,再回到中位;30~150 km/h的车速范围内,中心区正弦波转向。
在完成上述验证后,从车速为5 km/h开始,以每10 km/h为间隔,驾驶员将车辆转向至安全范围内的最大转向盘角度,随后关闭下转助力输出,分析底盘悬架的回正表现,并记录下转向转角和转向速度。
由于线控转向下转向采用角度控制以响应上转向的请求,因此需要通过齿条力阻力模块的标定,来模拟出底盘的悬架特性。
具体操作如下:先关闭上转向的回正、助力、阻尼功能,然后从5 km/h车速开始,每10 km/h为间隔,驾驶员转向到车辆在安全范围内的最大转向盘角度,然后松手,通过标定在不同车速下随齿条力计算反力的大小,来实现接近于底盘自身的回正特性。
然后,先打开助力功能,标定不同车速下的手力大小,匹配出随转角和随车速的手力建立情况。其次,再打开回正和阻尼功能,标定不同车速下的回正功能和阻尼功能,匹配出低车速下转向脱手后转向盘可回到中心,高车速转向脱手后转向盘没有多余的超调和回摆。由于回正和阻尼功能会影响手力的大小,因此在标定过程中可结合调校进行综合考量。
本文介绍的线控转向系统的最优的路感反馈模块由齿条力阻力模块和随手力的助力模块组成,研究了路感反馈模块的详细整车匹配流程,从估算齿条力的标定,到整车底盘悬架回正特性的分析,到齿条力阻力模块的标定,再到助力模块,回正和阻尼模块的标定,实现媲美于EPS的真实路感。此外,还研究了不同的可变传动比整车匹配方案,选择了适用于全幅和半幅转向盘的2种策略,兼顾了多场景下的舒适性和便利性,针对变比满舵减速打手问题还研究了锁车速变比的策略。本文为SBW系统发展和工程应用提供有力技术支持,有利于提升智能驾驶安全性与可靠性,为助力汽车底盘一体化集成提供了新的思路和方法。
