In order to improve the safety of occupants in side pole impact, this paper analyzed the damage of occupants in side pole collision condition at 32 km/h by simulation. Firstly, a side occupant restraint system model was established and its reliability was verified. To improve the protection effect for occupant of side airbag and reduce the passenger’s injury in side pole crash, vehicle side pole crash PSM substructure model was established according to 2021 C-NCAP Side-Pole test method. Finally, the test results were compared with simulation results, which show that the reasonable airbag shape, ignition timing and vent diameter can effectively improve the occupant protection.

为提高侧面柱碰撞工况下乘员的安全性,针对乘员在车速32 km/h侧面柱碰撞工况下的损伤进行了仿真分析。首先建立了侧面乘员约束系统模型并进行了可靠性验证,为改善侧面柱碰撞工况下安全气囊对乘员的保护效果,依据2021年版《C-NCAP管理规则》中侧面柱碰撞试验方法,搭建了车辆侧面柱碰撞规定结构运动(PSM)子结构模型,最后将试验与仿真结果进行对比,结果表明,合理的气囊形状、点火时刻及排气孔直径可有效提高乘员保护效果。

为提高侧面柱碰撞工况下乘员的安全性,针对乘员在车速32 km/h侧面柱碰撞工况下的损伤进行了仿真分析。首先建立了侧面乘员约束系统模型并进行了可靠性验证,为改善侧面柱碰撞工况下安全气囊对乘员的保护效果,依据2021年版《C-NCAP管理规则》中侧面柱碰撞试验方法,搭建了车辆侧面柱碰撞规定结构运动(PSM)子结构模型,最后将试验与仿真结果进行对比,结果表明,合理的气囊形状、点火时刻及排气孔直径可有效提高乘员保护效果。

In order to improve the safety of occupants in side pole impact, this paper analyzed the damage of occupants in side pole collision condition at 32 km/h by simulation. Firstly, a side occupant restraint system model was established and its reliability was verified. To improve the protection effect for occupant of side airbag and reduce the passenger’s injury in side pole crash, vehicle side pole crash PSM substructure model was established according to 2021 C-NCAP Side-Pole test method. Finally, the test results were compared with simulation results, which show that the reasonable airbag shape, ignition timing and vent diameter can effectively improve the occupant protection.

目前,侧面碰撞研究主要集中于车车碰撞,即可变形移动壁障侧面碰撞,而车与柱状物发生的侧面碰撞研究几乎处于空白状态。据统计,我国因车辆与柱状物发生侧面碰撞而导致乘员死亡的人数占侧面碰撞乘员死亡人数的28%[4]。目前的可变形移动壁障侧面碰撞试验不能反映来自车外柱状物体碰撞的威胁,因此,研究侧面柱碰撞工况下的乘员保护具有重要意义。
2021年版《C-NCAP管理规则》[5]中引入了侧面柱碰撞试验。本文基于乘员安全带有限元模型,使用全球统一侧碰假人(World Side Impact Dummy,World-SID)进行仿真计算,分析不同气囊包形、点火时刻及排气孔直径对乘员胸部伤害的影响,采用正交试验优化得到最优方案,从而降低乘员胸部伤害。
World-SID是现阶段新车评价规程(New Car Assessment Program,NCAP)试验使用的主要假人之一,能够较好地体现侧面碰撞过程中各部位的损伤生物力学反应。根据2021年版《C-NCAP管理规则》,侧面柱碰撞试验中假人胸部的评价主要考查胸部侧向肋骨压缩量。
在侧面柱(Side-Pole)碰撞试验中,胸部压缩量由肋骨位移和胸椎位移的差计算得出,肋骨受到来自车门的作用力,同时受到车门速度、侵入量、内饰材料特性的影响。胸椎受到肩部、肋骨、骨盆等假人的内部结构传递的力。因此,使用弹簧-质量系描述侧面柱碰撞试验中假人胸部受力,如图1所示。
假人各部位的质量和弹簧系数等变量采用实际测量得到的数据,并通过对肩部、胸部、腰部的撞击试验进行确定和验证。此外,通过从有限元模型中得到的车门饰板和假人的接触力及假人各部位的位移,也可以求得各变量。
设假人胸部质量和加速度分别为mcstacst,则假人胸部的横向运动方程为:

式中,FsdFribFbpFabdFneckFlbFbelt分别为胸椎受到肩部、肋骨、背板、腹部、下颈部、上腰椎及安全带的力。
设假人胸椎的速度提高至与车门饰板速度一致时的时刻为t1,此时,假人胸部受到的载荷最大,胸部运动速度vcst1为:

通过式(3)中各积分项在vcst1中所占的比例,可以判断使假人胸椎产生加速度的力,进而探讨降低肋骨输入载荷的方法。
本文基于某SUV车型,根据2021年版《C-NCAP管理规则》中的试验要求进行32 km/h侧面柱碰撞试验,约束系统参数如表1所示。
试验后,World-SID胸部3个位置的压缩量如图2所示。由图2可知,上肋骨、中肋骨、下肋骨处的压缩量均高于高性能限值,而上肋骨处的压缩量最高,达到43.25 mm。因此,以上肋骨处的压缩量表征整体胸部压缩量,得分较差,需对上肋骨处的压缩量进行优化。
利用Primer软件建立该车型的32 km/h侧面柱碰撞乘员约束系统模型,如图3所示,主要包括车身、碰撞侧前后车门、前门饰板、B柱饰板、座椅、假人、安全带及气囊等部件。
模型中的假人模型为World-SID 50th-Version 7.5,模型体型为中等成年男子,身高175.5 cm,体重73.62 kg。假人模型包括596 919个节点,含有301 176个单元,模型中采用常用的接触类型:Node_To_Surface、Single_Surface、Surface_To_Surface。不同部位接触的摩擦因数设置为0.1~0.3不等。
为提高计算效率,本文采用规定结构运动(Prescribed Structure Motion,PSM)方法[6]对建立的侧面柱碰撞有限元模型进行简化。该方法将复杂的侧面结构变形简化为前后车门的侵入速度、侵入量和侵入形态,作为已知的边界条件施加,而乘员、约束系统、内饰板与车门内板之间的相互作用通过定义接触来实现。车门的侵入速度、侵入量和侵入形态可以通过侧面柱碰撞试验或仿真计算获得。
将侧面柱碰撞仿真结果中撞击侧车门、B柱等部件的位移-时间历程输入图3所示的模型中,并将碰撞侧驾驶员假人损伤结果与侧面柱碰撞试验结果进行对比。通过对计算输出的动画文件及时间历程曲线与实车试验数据进行对比验证了模型的有效性[7]
不同时刻World-SID仿真动画与整车碰撞试验高速摄像假人姿态对比如图4所示,从图4中可以看出,初始20 ms内假人没有明显的运动,侧面气囊几乎没有保护作用,并且假人胸部受压很小。假人明显的身体运动发生在第25~45 ms范围内,假人在向撞击侧运动的过程中,侧面气囊开始对假人施加外力,从而导致假人胸部压缩量增加。从运动过程看,第50 ms后,侧面气囊和假人开始分离,同时安全带松动。结果表明,仿真中假人的运动可以很好地匹配试验中假人运动状态。
假人第一胸椎(The First Thorax Vertebra,T1)及第十二胸椎(The Twelfth Thorax Vertebra,T12)的加速度能够精确地反映整个胸部的运动情况,因此,本文针对假人运动状态、T1、T12及骨盆加速度与试验结果进行对比。
假人T1在YZ方向上的加速度如图5所示,仿真与试验结果基本一致,但在Z方向的加速度波动幅度较试验结果大。X方向的加速度变化趋势不是影响假人运动姿态的关键因素,因此不针对此方向进行对比。
T12在YZ方向上的加速度曲线如图6所示,仿真结果与试验结果基本一致,但第1峰值间的差异较为明显。此外,仿真中Z向加速度存在更多波动,但试验和仿真中加速度峰值时刻均在第60 ms左右。
图7所示为假人骨盆在YZ方向上的加速度。由图7可以看出,骨盆YZ向加速度曲线在形状、峰值及峰值时刻、脉宽等方面与试验结果吻合度较好,证明了所建立的有限元模型可以反映真实的碰撞情况。
综上,该约束系统模型精度可靠,可作为基础模型开展相关研究。
为降低侧面柱碰撞试验中World-SID肋骨处压缩量,优化侧面气囊模型,研究乘员保护效果最佳的参数组合。
侧气囊的几何形状取决于座椅的尺寸、R点及行程,其初始轮廓需覆盖乘员胸腹部。在气囊的设计中,一般按照车体结构及多假人、多工况的要求确定侧面气囊的保护区域:依据Hybrid Ⅲ第50百分位和Hybrid Ⅲ第95百分位假人保护区域进行气袋几何设计,保证覆盖全面。
不同气囊形状如图8所示,并将不同气囊形状放入图3所示的子结构模型中进行计算。
通常,侧面柱碰撞中主要对气囊参数进行优化,气囊模块可优化的参数主要包括气囊包形及尺寸、排气孔大小及泄气性曲线、点火时刻及气体质量流率等[8]。结合文献[9]、文献[10]对侧气囊参数灵敏度的分析结果可知,排气孔大小及点火时刻的影响较大,故本文以排气孔直径和点火时刻作为优化对象,同时对气囊形状进行重点优化。从试验高速摄像及仿真动画中观察假人运动趋势,结合假人胸部上肋骨压缩量曲线可知,假人运动过程中,气囊挤压假人手臂、手臂挤压胸部上肋骨是造成胸部上肋骨压缩量增加的主要原因。
综上所述,本文研究气囊形状、点火时刻和排气孔大小等对侧面柱碰撞中乘员胸腹部保护效果影响较大的参数,结合工程经验及该车型的基本参数,针对上述3个参数分别设定3个水平,即气囊形状A、点火时刻B、排气孔大小C
选取L9(34)正交试验表,进行9次试验,结果如表2所示。对比正交试验表中排气孔参数对上肋骨压缩量的计算结果可知,上肋骨压缩量随排气孔直径增大而增大,结合仿真动画和计算结果分析,增大排气孔直径会增大假人击穿气囊风险,进而增大肋骨压缩量。
为求得参数最优组合,选取上肋骨处压缩量进行极差分析,如图9所示,从图9中可以看出,胸部压缩量的最优参数组合为第8组,即气囊形状3、点火时刻为第8 ms、排气孔直径为15 mm。同时图9也说明气囊形状可有效降低World-SID的胸部压缩量。
侧面柱碰撞试验中假人胸部肋骨侧向压缩量是重要考核指标,对应的高、低性能指标限值分别为28 mm和55 mm。假人胸部上肋骨的压缩量比中、下肋骨压缩量大,胸部上、中、下3根肋骨的压缩量如图10所示,最大变形量分别为31.86 mm、30.96 mm、29.80 mm,胸部得分为3.298分。
假人腹部肋骨侧向压缩量是评价腹部伤害的重要指标,对应的高、低性能指标限值分别为47 mm和65 mm。假人腹部肋骨侧向压缩量如图11所示,从图11中可以看出,假人腹部上、下肋骨压缩量均小于高性能指标。
耻骨力是评价假人骨盆伤害的重要指标,对应的高、低性能指标限值分别为1.7 kN和2.8 kN,假人耻骨力如图12所示,由图12可知,试验中假人耻骨力的最大峰值为1.12 kN,小于高性能限值。
侧面柱碰撞中假人伤害指标一般有头部伤害指数(HIC15)及3 ms合成加速度、胸部肋骨侧向压缩量、腹部肋骨侧向压缩量、骨盆耻骨力。表3所示为试验与仿真假人伤害指标对比情况。从表3中可以看出,除胸部下肋骨和腹部下肋骨压缩量外,假人其他伤害值的误差均在20%以内。由于胸部和腹部存在多个压缩量,采用该部位最低得分来代表该部位得分,因此该仿真模型满足对标要求。
综上,通过PSM子结构建立的侧面柱碰撞乘员约束系统模型在假人运动姿态和伤害值方面的计算结果与试验结果均能较好吻合,后续侧面约束系统模型参数优化可基于该模型进行。
本文主要研究侧面柱碰撞工况下气囊形状、点火时刻及排气孔位置对World-SID胸腹部压缩量的影响,结果表明,气囊形状对World-SID胸部压缩量起到至关重要的作用,并提出侧面柱碰撞试验中World-SID胸部伤害值的优化方案,在某车型上进行仿真分析,得到以下结论:
a 改变气囊形状、提早气囊点火时刻均可降低胸部肋骨处的压缩量,其中改变气囊形状的效果最优。
b 增大排气孔直径会增大假人击穿气囊风险,进而导致肋骨压缩量增大。
