In order to improve the safety score of the driver’s side airbag under the side pole collision condition, the model of occupant’s restraint system in the vehicle side pole collision was built according to the 2021 version of C-NCAP, and the vehicle collision and simulation results show that the safety scores of the head, abdomen and pelvis all reach the standard, and the chest injury is more serious and the score is lower. By optimizing the pouch shape and stomatal diameter of the side airbags, the chest rib safety score is improved. The optimization results show that the compression of the upper rib, middle rib and lower rib of the chest decreases by 30.97%, 8.26% and 13.71%, respectively, which verifies the effectiveness of the optimization scheme.

为提高侧面柱碰撞工况下驾驶员侧气囊安全得分,依据2021版C-NCAP管理规则搭建汽车侧面柱碰撞乘员约束系统模型,实车碰撞及仿真结果表明,头部、腹部、骨盆安全得分均达标,胸部伤害较严重,得分较低。通过优化侧气囊的袋型和气孔直径,提升胸部肋骨安全得分。优化后结果表明,胸部上肋骨、中肋骨、下肋骨压缩量分别减小30.97%、8.26%、13.71%,验证了优化方案的有效性。

为提高侧面柱碰撞工况下驾驶员侧气囊安全得分,依据2021版C-NCAP管理规则搭建汽车侧面柱碰撞乘员约束系统模型,实车碰撞及仿真结果表明,头部、腹部、骨盆安全得分均达标,胸部伤害较严重,得分较低。通过优化侧气囊的袋型和气孔直径,提升胸部肋骨安全得分。优化后结果表明,胸部上肋骨、中肋骨、下肋骨压缩量分别减小30.97%、8.26%、13.71%,验证了优化方案的有效性。

In order to improve the safety score of the driver’s side airbag under the side pole collision condition, the model of occupant’s restraint system in the vehicle side pole collision was built according to the 2021 version of C-NCAP, and the vehicle collision and simulation results show that the safety scores of the head, abdomen and pelvis all reach the standard, and the chest injury is more serious and the score is lower. By optimizing the pouch shape and stomatal diameter of the side airbags, the chest rib safety score is improved. The optimization results show that the compression of the upper rib, middle rib and lower rib of the chest decreases by 30.97%, 8.26% and 13.71%, respectively, which verifies the effectiveness of the optimization scheme.

侧面碰撞造成的伤亡人数占汽车事故总伤亡人数的28%[1],因此,侧面碰撞安全性研究对提高汽车安全性具有重要的现实意义。以往的侧面碰撞研究主要针对车与车的碰撞[2],2021年版中国新车评价规程(China-New Car Assessment Program,C-NCAP)管理规则[3]中新增侧面柱碰撞试验,对车辆侧面与圆柱形刚性物体直接撞击时的安全性进行评价。
针对侧面柱碰撞的影响因素:朱海涛等[4]从力学理论出发,研究了侧面柱碰撞和侧面碰撞在受力上的差异;李翼德[5]基于人体损伤机理,分析实际碰撞中乘员的响应特性,构建了车辆侧面柱碰撞模型并进行验证;Warner等[6]基于福特的实车平台,获取车辆的不同碰撞位置、不同柱面大小等因素对车辆力学响应的影响;Kuwaharm等[7]研究发现,在侧面柱碰撞工况下,侧气囊可降低胸部肋骨压缩量,减小上臂挤压胸部上肋骨及扶手侵入胸部下肋骨的力。
本文基于人体生物力学响应及侧面柱碰撞影响因素构建侧面柱碰撞模型,验证假人头部、胸部、腹部、骨盆伤害值与实车碰撞的拟合程度,提出侧气囊袋型及孔径的优化方案,降低胸部肋骨压缩量并验证优化方案的有效性。
侧面柱碰撞总体模型如图1所示。模型节点数量为1 480 855个、壳单元1 562 527个、个体单元391 132个。模型包含左侧前门、驾驶员处地板、侧围、驾驶员座椅、驾驶员约束系统、假人模型及刚性柱壁障模型等。
周会锋[8]通过研究全球侧面碰撞第50百分位男性假人(World Side Impact Dummy 50th,WordSID 50th)和欧洲侧面碰撞假人-2(Euro Side Impact Dummy -2,ES-2)的响应特性,发现相同工况下,前者工作寿命更长。本文依据欧洲新车评价规程[9](European New Car Assessment Programme,E-NCAP)在驾驶员座椅放置WordSID 50th。
绘制网格时,需删除不足3 mm的倒圆角、直径小于4 mm的圆等非重要特征线,根据工程要求,本文模型采用8 mm网格。
按照以下条件进行整车标定:
a. 针对假人姿态进行相应调整,改变假人胯点(H点)确定假人姿态的同时,调整假人手臂位置。由于无法模拟衣服厚度及摩擦,模拟手臂外摆程度需改变假人模型摩擦因数,使模型更符合实际工况。
b. 车辆碰撞时,车身侵入量需根据采集的加速度,通过二重积分计算出相应位移,模型车身侵入量贴近实车碰撞效果。
c. 对于整车模型,需考查假人与座椅的摩擦、侧气囊与侧气帘的点火时刻以及全车气囊展开形态与实车符合程度。
侧面柱碰撞工况下,首先由白车身框架结构变形吸收能量[10],再通过约束系统进一步降低碰撞对驾驶员的伤害。本文通过实车碰撞及仿真结果比较,判断车辆约束系统运行情况,同时优化侧气囊。试验设置如表1所示。
实车侧面柱碰撞测试结果如表2所示,试验中,车辆侧气囊及侧气帘点火时刻正常且侧气囊、侧气帘展开无异常。头部保护达到预期标准,但胸部伤害较严重,侧气囊保护效果略差。
在实车碰撞试验中,由于假人手臂抬起较晚,对肋骨造成挤压,导致胸部压缩量过大,因此评分较低,不满足车辆设计要求。为达成C-NCAP“五星”的目标,需要将分数提升至14.7分,由于头部、腹部及骨盆得分为满分,因此胸部得分至少需要达到2.7分。
在侧面柱碰撞中,主要通过乘员头部、胸部及骨盆分析驾驶位假人的损伤情况。通过仿真动画伤害曲线筛选未达标项目,并进行约束系统优化。
侧面柱碰撞中评价乘员头部伤害的主要指标为头部损伤耐受度(Head Injury Criterion,HIC),即nHIC

式中:t1t2分别为HIC计算的起始和终止时刻,且t2-t1≤15 ms;AR为头部合成加速度;AxAyAz分别为xyz方向滤波后的加速度。
根据E-NCAP的规定,HIC的限值范围为500~700 g,累积3 ms合成加速度指标范围为72~80 g[11]。根据头部加速度曲线,如图2所示,实车碰撞头部合成加速度峰值为53.90 g,代入式(1)计算可得nHIC=384.66 g。由于HIC低于指标限值,因此,头部伤害无需进行优化。
头部加速度峰值时间的仿真与试验结果如表3所示,实车碰撞头部加速度在第61 ms达到伤害峰值,仿真分析在第56 ms达到伤害峰值,第80 ms以后,实车和仿真均结束碰撞。在误差允许范围内,头部的实车碰撞试验与仿真曲线相似,则认为实车碰撞与仿真试验运动大致相同。
评价乘员胸部损伤主要用胸部肋骨压缩量和粘性指标(Viscosity Index,V-C)nV-C,粘性指标应满足nV-C≤1.0 m/s[12]。由于实车碰撞时胸部压力过高,对仿真模型进行适度调整。伤害时刻主要发生在第30~40 ms,从第30 ms开始,间隔10 ms观测一次模型状态,第30~60 ms仿真结果如图3所示。
图3可知,第30 ms时,假人手臂处于初始位置,此时侧面气囊未能提供足够的保护。随着柱状物的侵入,侧气囊在第50 ms充气基本完成,能够完全提供保护作用。第50~60 ms,假人上臂快速抬起,减轻了对胸部的挤压。此时,侧面刚性柱与车门部位发生剧烈撞击,地板、侧围以及B柱发生较为剧烈的形变并冲击假人。通过观察肋骨压缩量峰值时刻的实车碰撞录像和模拟仿真图像(见表4),假人姿态(包括左手手臂姿态)大致相同,验证了仿真模型与实车碰撞的一致性。
由于胸部伤害达到峰值时,假人左手手臂抬起幅度较小,而侧气囊弹出时,手臂受到侧面柱对车身压迫造成车身形变的冲击,对胸部造成挤压,同时侧气囊未对手臂起到托举作用,造成手臂对于胸部肋骨过度挤压,从而导致胸部压力超过目标要求,最终得分仅为1.02分。胸部得分低于预期目标,需要对胸部伤害进行分析及优化。
腹部损伤机理与胸部损伤相似,使用腹部肋骨侧向压缩量和粘性指标评价,侧向肋骨压缩量限值为47 mm,nV-C≤1.0 m/s。腹部伤害曲线的实车碰撞试验与仿真分析结果如图4所示:腹部上肋骨最大压缩量,为27.40 mm,粘性指标为0.16 m/s;腹部下肋骨最大压缩量为17.20 mm,粘性指标为0.12 m/s。
图4a中,由于仿真气囊的充气速率略快于实车碰撞,所以腹部上肋骨仿真的压缩量峰值早于实车碰撞,而图4b中,腹部下肋骨仿真的压缩量峰值虽略大于实车碰撞,但二者均在压缩量高性能指标限值内。结合腹部伤害评价标准,模拟仿真和实车碰撞的腹部伤害远小于指标限值,故无需进行后续分析。
正常男性成人骨盆的极限压缩量为8.42 mm,极限载荷为2.762 kN,当超过极限载荷时,骶骼关节处会发生骨折[13]。在侧面柱碰撞中,车身侧围受到的冲击力将传递到碰撞侧骨盆,从而造成损伤。本文试验骨盆受力峰值为528.7 N,骨盆伤害曲线如图5所示,模拟仿真与实车碰撞的吻合程度良好,且骨盆受力均在允许范围内,故后续不再针对骨盆伤害进行优化。
根据实车碰撞视频分析结果,第15 ms时,气囊开始展开,第20 ms时,手臂抬起并对胸部肋骨造成挤压。仿真结果显示:第20 ms时手臂抬起的幅度超过了实际碰撞过程中的幅度;第38 ms时,气囊完全展开,头部完全接触气囊;第72 ms时,手臂达到最高点。
实车试验与模型仿真中,头部、胸部、腹部及骨盆处伤害曲线在误差允许范围内一致,故本文使用仿真模型具备模拟实车试验条件。同时,除胸部外,其他部位均符合标准,因此,本文重点优化胸部肋骨压缩量。
经实车碰撞及仿真对比,汽车侧面结构在碰撞后发生巨大形变,导致展开后的气囊被车门挤压并与乘员接触,对乘员胸部造成严重伤害。为进一步保护乘员安全,本文对侧气囊进行优化分析。
调整乘员手臂衣服的摩擦因数,对调整后的模型进行仿真验证,并与实车碰撞结果进行对比,如表5所示。
根据仿真与试验情况,对模型侧气囊袋型及气孔直径进行优化设计,使乘员在碰撞发生时能够快速抬起手臂,从而降低手臂与胸部的接触面积,降低胸部肋骨压力。同时,从第30 ms开始,逐渐增大侧气囊气孔直径,并依据各工况计算气孔最佳直径,调整侧气囊刚度,减少二次冲击。
驾驶员安全气囊(Driver Airbag,DAB)有限元模型由气袋、气体发生器、控制装备等装置组成,气袋的体积与形状、排气孔的大小及气袋材料均影响其保护能力。通过改变气囊形状、降低侧气囊高度、增大胸部气囊,提高原气囊充气量,袋型对比如图6所示。
选取乘员同一部位进行仿真测试,改进袋型后,对有限元模型进行计算并提取结果,胸部上、中、下肋骨的压缩量及得分进行对比,结果如表6所示。
改进气囊模型形状后,胸部上部肋骨压缩量减小5.47 mm,胸部中、下部肋骨压缩量分别增大了4.87 mm和5.03 mm,假人胸部评分由2.02分提升到2.74分。
改变侧气囊模型气孔直径,进一步减小肋骨压缩量,设置气孔直径分别为30 mm、33 mm和35 mm进行对比,结果如表7所示。
通过胸部肋骨压缩量以及最终得分的对比,气孔直径为35 mm时,胸部肋骨的保护效果最好。因此,气孔直径选择35 mm。
优化方案中胸部肋骨压缩量均小于31 mm,得分超过预设目标,达到3.52分,胸部发生挤压的总时长为15 ms。随着侧气囊的展开,胸部上肋骨受到气囊压迫,上肋骨压缩量迅速增大,峰值达到30.65 mm。峰值出现时间较优化前提前5 ms,压缩量减少13.75 mm,降低30.97%。由于侧气囊气孔直径的优化,首次碰撞后,胸部上肋骨压缩量达到峰值,侧气囊能够将气体快速排出,降低了侧气囊的刚度,有效避免了碰撞后的二次伤害,如图7所示。之后,逐渐抬起乘员手臂,侧气囊起到缓冲作用,使胸部上肋骨压缩量开始下降,第45 ms时,胸部上肋骨压缩量再次达到峰值。
胸部中肋骨压缩量与上肋骨压缩量基本一致,优化后第19 ms时首次出现峰值,且峰值出现时间较优化前提前3 ms。第35 ms时,胸部中肋骨压缩量达到30 mm,相比于5 ms后原方案出现的压缩量峰值减少2.7 mm,降低8.26%,如图8所示。
胸部下肋骨压缩量曲线趋势与胸部上肋骨在第35 ms前大致相同。胸部下肋骨最大压缩量为27.25 mm。随着气囊展开,胸部下肋骨受到的压力逐渐减小,压缩量逐渐减小。由于柱壁障模型的侵入,压缩量再次增大,并在第55 ms达到新的峰值25.46 mm,较原方案的最大压缩量减小4.33 mm,降低13.71%,如图9所示。
综上所述,碰撞前期的伤害主要源于侧气囊刚度较大,乘员受到压力越大,相对地,假人所受伤害越严重。侧气囊展开后开始吸收碰撞产生的能量,通过保有一定刚性,吸收后续刚性柱入侵车身时产生的能量,从而使假人得到更好的保护。同时,侧气囊的刚度提高有利于减小胸部下肋骨压缩量。在肩部力不超标的前提下,将手臂通过气囊适当抬起,降低胸部肋骨所受到的压力,也可减小胸部肋骨的压缩量,如图10所示。
本文基于侧面柱碰撞工况,通过设计对照试验,对影响头部、胸部、腹部、骨盆伤害值的两大因素,即侧气囊袋型和气孔直径进行分析。结果表明:在一定程度上,增大侧气囊气孔直径可减小胸部上肋骨、中肋骨、下肋骨压缩量,分析对照试验后增大侧气囊气孔直径到35 mm;改变侧气囊袋型,将侧气囊高度降低并将胸部气囊增大,可降低肋骨压缩量。此外,碰撞中抬起手臂可以改善胸部安全性能得分,但其对人体其他部位的影响还需进一步研究。
