In order to suppress the knocking phenomenon of hybrid engine, a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model is established based on the ultra-high compression ratio hybrid engine. Bench tests are carried out to analyze the influence of engine subsystem and control parameters on knocking. The results show that rapid combustion can be achieved by increasing the inlet tumble ratio. Improving the machining accuracy of the combustion chamber can improve the consistency of combustion. Separate cooling of cylinder block and cylinder head can realize intelligent temperature regulation. The addition of a water baffle can reduce the temperature of the metal. For the maximum effective thermal efficiency point of the engine, reducing the pressure loss of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system can make the EGR rate reach 25%. In high-temperature environments, the effective compression ratio and engine outlet temperature require precise control.

为抑制混动发动机爆震现象,基于超高压缩比混动发动机,建立计算流体力学(CFD)模型,通过台架试验分析发动机子系统及控制参数对爆震的影响。结果表明:提高进气道滚流比可实现快速燃烧;提升燃烧室加工精度可改善燃烧一致性;缸体、缸盖分离式冷却可实现分区温度智能调节;增加挡水板可降低金属温度;对于该发动机最大有效热效率点,降低废气再循环(EGR)系统压损,可使EGR率达到25%;高温环境下,需对发动机有效压缩比及出水温度进行精确控制。

In order to suppress the knocking phenomenon of hybrid engine, a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model is established based on the ultra-high compression ratio hybrid engine. Bench tests are carried out to analyze the influence of engine subsystem and control parameters on knocking. The results show that rapid combustion can be achieved by increasing the inlet tumble ratio. Improving the machining accuracy of the combustion chamber can improve the consistency of combustion. Separate cooling of cylinder block and cylinder head can realize intelligent temperature regulation. The addition of a water baffle can reduce the temperature of the metal. For the maximum effective thermal efficiency point of the engine, reducing the pressure loss of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system can make the EGR rate reach 25%. In high-temperature environments, the effective compression ratio and engine outlet temperature require precise control.

发动机爆震现象主要源于缸内末端混合气体在火焰到达前发生了自燃,导致缸内局部压力和温度骤增,从而产生高频压力振荡[1-2]。混合动力发动机可通过提高压缩比有效改善燃油经济性,但极易导致爆震和早燃倾向加剧,造成发动机性能下降、油耗增加、振动及噪声恶化,甚至损坏缸体[3]
Livengood-Wu积分[4]假设某关键自由基的浓度达到一定值时会发生自燃,可用于自燃时刻预测。Li等[5]通过提升汽油机压缩比,改善中低负荷工况的燃油经济性,但在高负荷工况下会加剧爆震,增加油耗。张小矛[6]通过计算流体力学(Computational Fluid Dynamics,CFD)仿真,研究各缸的爆震发生强度,认为爆震极易发生在高温、燃油浓度偏稀区域,同时伴随大量羟基(OH)自由基产生。胡祯等[7]利用快速压缩机分析了能量密度和壁面温度对爆震的影响,发现这两种因素与爆震影响呈正相关。邱立明[8]提出活塞头部形貌特征中的连通区域对爆震影响显著,可通过优化设计降低爆震敏感性。
为抑制发动机爆震现象,本文基于自然吸气混动专用超高压缩比发动机,分析发动机燃烧系统、冷却系统、废气再循环系统、标定控制等对发动机爆震的影响,提升发动机热效率,减少动力损失。
本试验使用自主研发4缸1.5 L四冲程自然吸气发动机,该混动专用发动机采用超高压缩比、阿特金森循环(Atkinson)、外部冷却废气再循环(Exhaust Gas Recirculation,EGR)等技术,其特征参数如表1所示。台架试验所用试验仪器设备如表2所示。
发动机相关仿真分析项所采用的仿真模型中,湍流模型采用RNG(Renormalization Group) k-ε模型,喷雾破碎模型采用KH-RT(Kelvin-Helmholtz & Rayleigh-Taylor)模型,壁面传热模拟采用O'Rourke模型,燃烧模型采用G方程耦合化学反应动力学模型[9-10]。利用G方程描述由火花点火引发的主火焰传播过程。其中,G=0的等值面为平均火焰面位置,G>0为已燃区域,G<0为主火焰未到达的末端混合气区域。
化学反应动力学机理[11]包含异辛烷和正庚烷的骨架机理,共48种组分和152个反应步。计算时,燃油组分采用异辛烷和正庚烷的质量分数配比为92∶8,替代92号汽油。
采用CONVERGE软件对燃烧系统模型进行网格划分及加密,网格模型基本尺寸为2 mm,进气道和燃烧室网格尺寸均为1 mm,最小网格加密到0.5 mm,网格数量为1.3×106~1.8×106个。
文献[6]对仿真模型的准确性及可靠性进行了验证,仿真的喷雾形态、喷雾贯穿距、缸内压力、放热率等试验误差均在5%以内,因此,可采用标定的仿真模型研究缸内燃烧及爆震现象。
鉴于OH自由基为爆震时缸内末端混合气体由低温化学反应向高温化学反应转变的示踪组分[12-13],因此,三维CFD仿真计算可通过OH自由基监测缸内末端混合气的爆震发生位置。
试验通过在缸内设置缸压传感器,获取缸内瞬态缸压信号,并进行傅里叶变换和滤波处理,得到缸压震荡幅值绝对值最大值作为爆震强度评价指标[14],如图1所示。
为提高混动发动机抗爆性能,对爆震影响较大的关键系统进行优化,提高燃烧系统湍动能,加强冷却系统、标定软件精准控制,提升压缩比加工精度与EGR率。

式中:StSl分别为湍流火焰和层流火焰传播速度,u′为湍流耗散速度均方根值,ab1b2为模型常数,Da为达姆科勒数。
通常,在压缩冲程末期,缸内湍动能越强,对应的u′和St越大。因此,增大进气道滚流比可提升点火时刻的气流脉动速度,从而实现快速燃烧,避免末端混合气体在火焰面未到达前自燃。对标2015~2023年乘用车市场1.0~2.0 L排量自吸和增压发动机数据库信息,将进气道流量系数和滚流比数据进行拟合,结果如图2所示。
基于数据库拟合的流量系数和滚流比关系,自然吸气发动机、增压发动机方程分别为:

式中:y1y2分别为自然吸气发动机与增压发动机进气道流量系数,x1x2分别为两种发动机进气道滚流比。
对比式2可看出,自吸发动机的斜率绝对值更大,且拟合直线位于增压发动机上方。主要源于自吸发动机在设计进气道时,更侧重提升流量系数以提升发动机性能,对进气道流量系数的要求往往要高于增压发动机;增压发动机由于有增压器补偿进气量,在设计理念中更侧重于提升滚流。
本文发动机流量系数和滚流比均处于自吸发动机拟合直线的右上方,对于高压缩比混动发动机,兼顾高EGR率下的充气效率要求的同时,也满足高滚流比气道的抗爆特性。
通过将进气道下底面调整为弧形过渡,增强流动分离效果,从而形成更高的滚流,气道形态几何对比如图3所示。
对比优化前、后发动机进气道的缸内滚流比与湍动能。如图4所示,在整个进气与压缩冲程中,优化后的进气道均保持较高的滚流比,不仅有助于促进油气混合,也有利于在压缩冲程末期滚流破碎,形成较大的湍动能。
对比优化前后进气道燃油湿壁量、点火时刻缸内油气混合均匀性以及爆震指示物分布,结果如图5所示。较高的滚流比会促进油气混合,因此,气道优化后缸内的燃油湿壁量较少。点火时刻缸内的空燃比分布也较为均匀,点火后,优化后的燃烧系统缸内火焰面传播面积增加,火焰传播速度较快,更有利于快速消耗掉末端混合气,因而未出现爆震指示物。
综上,优化后的进气道、高滚流燃烧系统的流动、油气混合以及燃烧爆震现象均有所改善。
本文发动机在转速为2 500 r/min、平均有效压力0.8 MPa工况下,进气道优化后,缸内50%放热的曲轴转角(CA50)相较于优化前(10.6°)提前2.3°;从10%放热到50%放热的燃烧持续期(B1050)相较优化前(9.5°)减少2.8°,表明燃烧速度加快。该工况下,进气道优化前、后的爆震指数如图6所示,试验统计了100个循环的缸压滤波后的爆震指数,可以看出,进气道滚流比提升,优化后燃烧系统的爆震发生频率和强度都显著降低。
发动机压缩比的适当性和一致性直接影响发动机的动力性、经济性和排放水平[16]。压缩比制造公差越小,对爆震一致性控制更有利。
将发动机燃烧室曲面、气门头及活塞端面等部位由锻造改为机加工,加工精度由±0.3 mm提升至±0.05 mm,同时,对轴瓦分组装配,可以更好地控制压缩比公差以及各缸一致性。燃烧系统加工精度提升后,压缩比公差可由16.0±0.7降低为16.0±0.3。此外,机加工明显改善燃烧室表面粗糙度,有效减少表面热点,防止燃烧过程中热点早燃或者爆震。
混动发动机压缩比较高,且多运行在大负荷油耗经济区,热负荷及爆震问题突出,其冷却需求更高。文献[17]表明,水套流速影响金属壁面传热系数,从而影响散热,因此,可通过改善水套设计缓解爆震问题。
本文发动机冷却系统原理如图7所示,采用缸体缸盖分离冷却,可实现缸体、缸盖的分区智能调节。通过缩短冷却液流经路径,降低冷却液流阻的同时,增加水流速度,从而有效控制爆震。
发动机转速6 000 r/min外特性工况缸盖水套、缸体水套流速云图如图8所示。缸盖、缸体的水流量比例约为7∶3时,各缸排气鼻梁区流速较均匀,能够达到2.2 m/s,缸间流速超过2 m/s,冷却效果明显且能够抑制爆震。
缸体增加挡水板可降低缸体、缸盖金属温度和水套温差,从而改善爆震,同时降低缸孔变形幅值。优化挡水板前、后的各部位温度见图9。可以看出,通过增加挡水板,水套、缸体及缸盖的最高温度分别下降20 ℃、6 ℃、2 ℃,发动机金属温度显著降低,各缸均匀性得到明显改善。
在发动机转速2 500 r/min及平均有效压力0.8 MPa工况下对比优化挡水板前、后试验结果,如图10所示。加挡水板后,燃烧重心CA50提前0.6°,燃烧持续期缩短了0.9°,有效燃油消耗率由195.9 g/kW∙h降低为195.4 g/kW∙h,改善0.3%,可以有效抑制爆震。
EGR将排气系统的部分废气引入燃烧室,令其重新参与燃烧。由于废气中含有大量的惰性气体,能够降低燃烧温度,有效抑制末端混合气的自燃,减少爆震,使点火角提前,降低油耗并减少NOx等有害气体排放。引入EGR可以降低进气歧管真空度,减少泵气损失,进一步提升热效率[18-19]
EGR率对发动机油耗、点火角、节气门开度、CA50等的影响,如图11所示,当EGR阀全开时,发动机EGR率可达25%,EGR的通入可以稀释缸内氧气浓度,降低燃烧温度,爆震倾向减弱,因此点火角可以进一步提前,使得燃烧重心CA50值由16°逐渐提前到8°附近,节气门开度增加约13%,从而使得发动机有效燃油消耗率减少18 g/kW∙h。
对比EGR系统优化前、后各部分压损,结果如图12所示。通过增大进气管路直径、平顺进气腔入口、将EGR冷却器翅片由5层增加为8层、增大出气波纹管直径、增大EGR阀喉颈,使得EGR系统的总压损由9.65 kPa降低至6.16 kPa,改善36.2%,EGR率由20%提升至25%。
在高温条件下,阿特金森循环发动机通过调整进、排气门正时,改变发动机的有效压缩比和缸内残余废气量,降低压缩过程中缸内温度,提升发动机热效率的同时抑制爆震[20]。该发动机性能可表示为:

式中:εM为有效压缩比,VIVC为进气门关闭时刻气缸的总容积,VC为燃烧室容积。
进气温度60 ℃条件下进排气可变气门正时(Variable Value Timing,VVT)优化对2 000 r/min外特性性能的影响如表3所示,提前开启进气门、增大气门重叠角可以降低有效压缩比,提升扭矩,从而降低性能衰减幅度。
在大负荷(转速3 000 r/min、平均有效压力0.9 MPa)以及中小负荷(转速3 000 r/min、平均有效压力0.6 MPa)工况点,发动机出水温度对油耗及燃烧参数的影响,如图13所示。随着水温升高,大负荷工况爆震倾向增强,点火角推迟,EGR通入减少,燃烧重心CA50变大,导致有效燃油消耗率升高;对于中小负荷工况点,随着水温升高,燃烧重心CA50仍可维持在6°~8°的最佳燃烧相位。由于水温升高,燃烧散热减少,发动机出水温度及机油温度升高,使机油粘度降低,减少摩擦损耗,降低了有效燃油消耗率。
分析不同环境下发动机出水温度控制对各参数影响,结果如图14所示。在整车应用中,中小负荷工况下,将水温提升至105 °C,或在大负荷工况下,将水温降低至90 ℃,发动机均能够达到最佳的性能及油耗水平。在高温环境下,由于进气温度升高,发动机爆震倾向加剧,此时,发动机出水温度应低于常温环境。
在工程开发中,本文通过对混动专用发动机各子系统结构、出水温度、点火角等参数进行优化,抑制爆震的同时,提高发动机热效率并减少动力性损失。未来,将在此基础上进一步提升发动机热效率、降低碳排放。
