To study the influence of different service cycles of BioRID II dummy on test evaluation results in the whiplash tests, 4 whiplash tests are carried out by taking 2 dummies with different service cycle seating the H-point x at the baseline position +5 mm and -5 mm respectively, meanwhile, the dummy’s neck structure and calibration descriptions are discussed. The results show that the difference in service cycle between BioRID II dummy has significant influence on the Neck Injuries Criteria (NIC) and the lower neck axial force, and the gap in the whiplash test evaluation may reach more than 0.5. The rationality of the current way of adjusting the neck My and the method and dimension of dummy calibration remain to be discussed.

鞭打试验中假人差异对试验评价的影响

为了研究BioRID II假人的不同使用周期对鞭打试验评价结果的影响,将2个使用周期不同的假人分别按H点x向坐标在基准位置基础上置前5 mm和置后5 mm定位,进行了4次鞭打试验,并对假人颈部结构及标定要求进行了探讨。结果表明,在鞭打试验中,BioRID II假人之间的使用周期差异对颈部伤害指数(NIC)和下颈部轴向力影响明显,试验评价分差0.5分以上,当前假人颈部弯矩调节方式的合理性有待商榷,假人的标定方法和标定维度需要探讨。

To study the influence of different service cycles of BioRID II dummy on test evaluation results in the whiplash tests, 4 whiplash tests are carried out by taking 2 dummies with different service cycle seating the H-point x at the baseline position +5 mm and -5 mm respectively, meanwhile, the dummy’s neck structure and calibration descriptions are discussed. The results show that the difference in service cycle between BioRID II dummy has significant influence on the Neck Injuries Criteria (NIC) and the lower neck axial force, and the gap in the whiplash test evaluation may reach more than 0.5. The rationality of the current way of adjusting the neck My and the method and dimension of dummy calibration remain to be discussed.

中国新车评价规程(China New Car Assessment Program,C-NCAP)中,乘员保护部分规定有鞭打试验项目。试验中,在座椅上放置装有若干传感器的BioRID II假人,用以测量后碰撞过程中假人颈部损伤情况,试验后,依据测量结果进行评价。2021年版C-NCAP管理规则[1]对于驾驶员座椅的评价分值为5分,其评价数据包括3组:由头部加速度、胸部T1(第1节胸椎位置)加速度计算出的颈部伤害指数(Neck Injuries Criteria,NIC);上颈部载荷和扭矩;下颈部载荷和扭矩。另外,也指定了部分罚分项。
鞭打试验实施几年来,经常出现C-NCAP官方试验评价结果与主机厂评价结果间存在差异的问题。以本文研究人员所在试验室为例,在之前几套座椅的鞭打试验中,试验得分一直低于官方结果,但在近期一款座椅使用新BioRID II假人进行试验后,试验得分偏高,分差达到总分值的10%,由此推断参与试验假人之间的差异对试验结果产生了影响。假人作为一种拟人装置,其使用周期的不同将导致各关节、结构性能产生差异。当前,所使用假人只要满足标定要求便认可试验结果,而标定试验可能无法完全规避假人使用周期差异产生的影响。鉴于此,本文通过对试验室内使用周期不同的2个假人进行对比试验,探讨假人使用周期不同对2021年版C-NCAP管理规则中关于驾驶员座椅的3组评价数据产生的影响。
试验室现有2个BioRID II假人,为同一版本,结构完全相同,其差别为假人B1已使用2年1个月,假人B2仅使用约2个月。本文研究中,为尽可能减少试验样件差异带来的影响,所有试验采用同一款座椅,为减少人为因素影响,相同操作环节均由相同人员执行。
试验前对假人B1和B2进行了动态标定,将假人摆放在滑台上,用摆锤以一定速度冲击滑台,其中,设摆锤接触滑台瞬间为0时刻。标定结果如表1所示[2]
标定过程中,除保证输入条件外,还要关注假人头部、颈部和T1的转角,以及颈部弯矩、T1峰值加速度和对应的时刻。表1中,2个假人标定均合格,且各项结果比较接近,如上颈部弯矩均接近上限,下颈部弯矩均接近下限,可以正常使用。标定项中各部位转角的测量位置如图1所示。
建立车辆坐标系,设前后方向为X向,向后为正。根据2021版C-NCAP管理规则假人摆放要求,假人H点应调节到目标点铅垂方向(HZTP)±10 mm、前后水平方向(HXTP)±5 mm的区域内。该目标点位于由H点测量装置(H-Point Machine,HPM)测量3次取平均值所确定的H点(HX,HZ)前方20 mm处。另外,2020年版欧洲新车评价规程(European New Car Assessment Program,E-NCAP)[2]要求假人H点应在HXTP±10 mm范围内。为了满足2款法规要求,将假人摆放位置靠后,试验假人X向坐标指定为HXTP+5 mm,采用假人B1、B2的2次试验分别用B1R和B2R表示,将假人摆放位置靠前,试验假人X向坐标指定为HXTP-5 mm,采用假人B1、B2的2次试验分别用B1F和B2F表示。
在C-NCAP中,A.8.7条款规定了“驾驶员座椅鞭打试验程序”,重点指定了试验前测量、试验条件的设定,以及座椅调整、H点及头后间隙的确定、头枕干涉头部空间的调节、假人的安装定位等操作步骤,上述操作过程中主要使用三坐标测量装置、HPM装置和头枕测量装置(HeadRest Measuring Device,HRMD)。B1F试验假人摆放如图2所示。
按台车试验速度要求进行4次鞭打试验,结果如表2所示。表2中:B1F试验结果较B1R高0.2分,其中,NIC得分高0.18分;B2F试验结果较B2R高0.3分,其中,NIC得分高0.25分。2组试验对比结果表明,假人摆放位置靠前时得分会偏高,偏高得分点为NIC得分,B2假人平均得分比B1假人平均得分高13.4%。
4次试验录像截图如图3所示。图3中,各次试验座椅完好,过程中靠背无失稳现象,座椅差异对试验结果不会产生明显影响。各次试验中假人运动同步,很难分析各时刻假人状态差异。对于试验结果的差异需要结合试验数据进行详细分析。
依据SAE J211-1的规定建立假人坐标系:对于颈部剪切力Fx,头向后,胸向前为正;对于颈部轴向力Fz,头向上,胸向下为正;对于颈部弯矩My,下颌向胸部为正;对于头部和胸部加速度,x向为前后方向,向前为正[3]
4次试验中,假人NIC差异明显:同一乘坐位置时,B2得分均高于B1,平均高0.41分。
NIC是由枕骨关节相对于T1的x向加速度和速度的相对值计算而得。
相对加速度为:

式中, A x T 1 t = 1 2 ( A x T 1 - L e f t t + A x T 1 - R i g h t t )为T1的x向平均加速度; A x T 1 - L e f t A x T 1 - R i g h t A x H e a d分别为T1左侧、T1右侧和头部x向加速度。
相对速度为:

式中,NICmax为用于评价的颈部伤害指数最大值;THRC(End)为头部离开头枕时间。
NIC的大小主要取决于 A x T 1 A x H e a d A x T 1 A x H e a d2条曲线取差值计算所得到的相对加速度 A x r e l正向所围成的面积越小越好,即相对速度 V x r e l峰值越小越好。因此,在假人摆放过程中,在假人背部与座椅靠背贴合的情况下,位置靠前相对于靠后会减小假人头后间隙,将头部接触时间提前,进而减小相对加速度正向部分面积,降低NIC。B1和B2假人靠前位置得分均高于靠后位置的得分,较好地反映了位置差异产生的影响。
建立4次试验中 A x T 1 A x H e a d A x r e l的比较关系如图4所示[4]。理论上假人摆放在同一位置时的曲线形状应更加接近,但结果却完全不同。图4a中,B1假人的2条试验曲线在第55~75 ms之间存在2个尖峰,而B2假人试验曲线相对平缓。分析 A x H e a d A x T 1,在第55~75 ms范围内,图4b中4条 A x H e a d曲线波动基本同步,图4c中B1假人2条 A x T 1曲线波动较大,且整个过程数值总体高于B2。因此,B1假人 A x r e l曲线波动大,数值偏大造成了 A x r e l的幅值偏大,B1假人参与的2次试验的NIC计算结果相对较大。
4次试验上颈部Fx曲线如图5所示。图5中:4条曲线正向部分互有交错,一致性较好;在负向部分,B1R曲线整体值略偏小,其他3条曲线在上升和下降过程中互有交错。在2021版C-NCAP管理规则中,颈部剪切力只评价头部相对于躯干向后的部分,即Fx的幅值。4次试验中,上颈部Fx幅值最小为14 N,最大为20 N,其值较接近,与扣分的高性能限值340 N相比可忽略。总体而言,4条曲线无明显规律。
4次试验上颈部轴向力Fz曲线如图6所示。图6中,4条曲线同步性较好。4条曲线的Fz幅值中,最小为378 N,最大为459 N,平均为429 N,最大幅值与最小幅值之间差值为51 N,但就B1和B2假人的影响而言并无规律。
4次试验上颈部伸张弯矩My曲线如图7所示。图7中,4条曲线在下降和上升过程中互有交错,趋势相同,但重合度较差。B1F和B2F中假人上颈部My的幅值均低于B1R和B2R,即假人乘坐位置靠前上颈部My更好,但B1和B2假人之间基本无差别。
4次试验下颈部剪切力Fx曲线如图8所示。图8中,4条曲线在上升和下降过程中互有交错,无明显规律。B1F和B2F试验中下颈部Fx幅值分别为203 N和207 N,较接近;B1R和B2R试验中下颈部Fx幅值分别为249 N和224 N,偏差略大。综合4次试验数据和曲线比对结果,假人乘坐位置靠前下颈部剪切力Fx小,数据结果差异与假人无关。
4次试验下颈部轴向力Fz曲线如图9所示。图9中,在约第80~120 ms时间段内,B1F和B1R试验下颈部Fz曲线同步,且存在双峰;B2F和B2R试验下颈部Fz曲线同步,且在170 N上下出现平台化。4次试验中,同种工况下的Fz曲线没有一致性,但同一假人不同工况下的Fz曲线一致性较好。B1F和B1R试验中,下颈部Fz幅值分别为385 N和383 N,基本相同;B2F和B2R试验中,下颈部幅值Fz分别为178 N和170 N,差别不大。综合数据和曲线,假人不同对下颈部轴向力Fz存在较大影响。
4次试验下颈部伸张弯矩My曲线如图10所示。图10中,4条曲线在下降和上升过程中互有交错,无明显规律。幅值方面,B1F和B2F中假人上颈部My均低于B1R和B2R试验,即假人乘坐位置靠前下颈部时伸张弯矩My伤害小。另外,下颈部My曲线以及图7中下颈部剪切力Fx曲线的同步性也进一步表明下颈部轴向力Fz曲线之间存在差异的真实性。
BioRID Ⅱ假人的颈部结构如图11a所示,主要由枕骨、椎骨和下颈部载荷传感器通过螺栓连接而成,颈部前后通过钢丝绳连接而成。其中,胸部T1传感器安装在下颈部载荷传感器两侧。如图11b所示,颈部右侧前后钢丝绳为独立结构,颈部左侧前后共用一条钢丝绳,该钢丝绳通过位于胸椎靠上位置的旋转阻尼组件形成回环。旋转阻尼器组件如图11c所示,导向轮上有钢丝绳槽,钢丝绳绕在槽内,通过钢丝绳顶丝挤压锁死。在钢丝绳的拉动下,导向轮可以转动,转动阻尼通过导向轮顶丝进行调节,以满足标定条件下的各转角及弯矩要求。顶丝用于固定轴的位置,也可防止轴与轴套间的相对运动。该结构中,通过调节导向轮转动阻尼调节头部和颈部各转角和弯矩,但导向轮相对导向轮轴的转动阻尼通过调节顶丝控制,一旦一侧的钢丝绳拉力达到一定程度或在一定外力持续作用下,可能出现导向轮相对轮轴的相对滑动与钢丝绳拉力被缓解的可能,该结果将造成下颈部载荷传感器发生抖动,进而造成假人颈部Fz幅值被削平及胸部T1的测量结果出现波动。
在BioRID Ⅱ假人标定要求中,主要关注假人头部、颈部转角和颈部弯矩,无颈部轴向力要求,且在上颈部和下颈部的标定要求中,上颈部的幅值范围为7.7~17.8 N·m,下颈部的幅值范围为-23.5~-15 N·m,标定中下颈部的弯矩载荷大于上颈部的弯矩载荷。在鞭打试验结果中,由表2可以看出,上颈部的弯矩载荷大于下颈部,且基本为下颈部弯矩载荷的2倍。另外,不同假人在相同试验条件下出现了上、下颈部轴向力Fz的明显差异。
本文通过将2个使用周期相差近2年的BioRID II假人进行4次鞭打试验,以及对BioRID II的标定要求、颈部结构进行探讨,得到以下结论:
a. 在鞭打试验中,使用周期不同的假人之间存在的差异可使评价结果产生0.5分以上的偏差;
b. 目前通过调节顶丝调节导向轮转动阻尼的方式有可能导致颈部轴向力幅值产生偏差,进而导致胸部T1加速度产生较大波动;
c. BioRID II假人的标定方法和标定维度的完整性有待进一步探讨。
