To in vestigate the consistency of results from outdoor exposure and xenon lamp aging tests on exterior plastics, 8 kinds of materials are selected to compare their appearance, clolr difference, gloss and tensile strength, and correlation coefficient is used to analyze the correlation between the two tests. The research results show that results of xenon lamp aging and outdoor exposure vary for ditferent materials, among which 6 materials have more severe results after Hainan exposure than Dunhuang exposure. For PMMA+ASA, PC and PMMA, SAE J2527 cannot accurately simulate exposure results in Hainan region. Furthermore the changes of tensile strength after xenon arc exposure 4 000 kJ are the same as 2 years outdoor exposure.

为研究外饰塑料在户外曝晒和氙灯老化试验中的结果是否一致,选用了8种材料开展试验,对比了外观、色差、光泽度和拉伸强度,并利用相关系数分析了二者之间的相关性。研究结果显示,不同材料的氙灯老化和户外曝晒的结果不同。其中,6种外饰塑料在海南地区曝晒后比敦煌地区曝晒后的老化程度更严重。对于聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯、丙烯腈-丁二酸-苯乙烯合金(PMMA+ASA)、聚碳酸酯(PC)和聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA),SAE J2527不能准确模拟海南地区的曝晒结果,氙灯老化4 000 kJ后与户外曝晒2年后的拉伸强度变化率基本相同。

为研究外饰塑料在户外曝晒和氙灯老化试验中的结果是否一致,选用了8种材料开展试验,对比了外观、色差、光泽度和拉伸强度,并利用相关系数分析了二者之间的相关性。研究结果显示,不同材料的氙灯老化和户外曝晒的结果不同。其中,6种外饰塑料在海南地区曝晒后比敦煌地区曝晒后的老化程度更严重。对于聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯、丙烯腈-丁二酸-苯乙烯合金(PMMA+ASA)、聚碳酸酯(PC)和聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA),SAE J2527不能准确模拟海南地区的曝晒结果,氙灯老化4 000 kJ后与户外曝晒2年后的拉伸强度变化率基本相同。

To in vestigate the consistency of results from outdoor exposure and xenon lamp aging tests on exterior plastics, 8 kinds of materials are selected to compare their appearance, clolr difference, gloss and tensile strength, and correlation coefficient is used to analyze the correlation between the two tests. The research results show that results of xenon lamp aging and outdoor exposure vary for ditferent materials, among which 6 materials have more severe results after Hainan exposure than Dunhuang exposure. For PMMA+ASA, PC and PMMA, SAE J2527 cannot accurately simulate exposure results in Hainan region. Furthermore the changes of tensile strength after xenon arc exposure 4 000 kJ are the same as 2 years outdoor exposure.

户外曝晒和氙灯老化试验是汽车非金属材料最常用的老化试验方法。氙灯老化试验是实验室验证汽车非金属材料老化性能的主要试验方法,模拟了户外老化条件。户外曝晒试验最接近用户实际使用状态,试验条件为曝晒地的自然环境。
由于不同地区的气候环境不同,不同暴晒地点的气候环境存在差异,因此,户外暴晒试验结果也存在差异。目前,汽车行业主要选择2种气候环境的暴晒地点,一种是干热气候环境的曝晒地,如中国敦煌、新疆,美国亚利桑那。另一种是湿热气候环境的暴晒地,如中国的海南和美国佛罗里达。
户外曝晒试验的周期较长,至少需要一年,很难满足目前的汽车开发周期。氙灯老化试验的周期相对较短,对于汽车外饰塑料,试验周期一般为3~4个月,是汽车开发过程中的主要试验方法。氙灯老化试验模拟了户外的光照、温度和湿度条件,但与户外暴晒的相关性是汽车行业关心的重要问题。汽车主机厂和设备供应商均有相关研究,李慧莲[1]等研究了仪表板材料氙灯老化试验结果与自然曝晒试验结果的相关性。柳立志、龚雯雯[2-3]研究了内饰塑料氙灯老化试验结果与户外曝晒试验结果的相关性。孙杏蕾[4]研究了外饰油漆氙灯老化试验和户外曝晒试验结果的相关性。早在1987年,Gugumus[5]团队即研究了氙灯老化试验结果与户外曝晒试验结果的相关性,分析了低密度聚乙烯(Low Density Polyethylene,LDPE)在欧洲中部和美国佛罗里达州的试验结果与实验室试验结果的相关性。Hamid[6]等研究了聚乙烯(Polyethylene,PE)材料在沙特地区曝晒试验结果与实验室加速试验结果的相关性。Tidjani[7]和Lü[8]等研究了聚丙烯(Polypropylene,PP)材料户外曝晒试验结果与实验室加速试验结果的相关性。以上研究结果表明,不同曝晒地点、试验设备、材料的测试结果存在差异,因此,需要研究不同外饰塑料在户外曝晒与氙灯老化试验间的相关性。
本文收集8种汽车外饰塑料,开展氙灯老化试验和户外曝晒试验,户外曝晒地点为海南万宁和甘肃敦煌,并通过对比每种材料在氙灯老化、万宁和敦煌曝晒后的测试结果,分析氙灯老化和户外曝晒试验结果的相关性。
试验采用的样品是汽车行业中常用的8种外饰塑料,每种样品取3个平行样,试验总样本量为24个,如表1所示。
氙灯老化试验方法采用SAE J2527-2017[9],是汽车行业常用的外饰材料试验方法,其中总辐照量为4 000 kJ,每500 kJ评价色差、光泽度、拉伸强度,具体内容如表2所示。
户外曝晒试验的地点为海南万宁和甘肃敦煌。
万宁大气试验站位于东经110°15'、北纬18°58',海拔12.3 m,平均温度为24.6 ℃,平均相对湿度为86%,年总辐照量为4 826 MJ/m2,年总日照时间为2 154 h,年降水总量为1 515 mm,降水pH值为5.4,属于典型的高温高湿海洋大气环境。
敦煌大气试验站海拔为1 199 m,平均温度为10.8 ℃,最高温度为45.6 ℃,最低温度为-28.6 ℃,平均相对湿度为38%,年总辐照量为6 425.4 MJ/m2,年总日照时间为3 257.8 h,年降水总量为39 mm,属于典型的干热沙漠环境条件。
户外曝晒试验方法如表3所示。样品暴晒过程中无背板,方向朝南,与水平面夹角为5°,如图1所示。暴晒时间为2年,每3个月评价一次色差、光泽度、拉伸强度。
色差测量按照GB/T 3979—2008《物体色的测量方法》执行,测量条件为:D65光源,10°观察角,包含镜面反射光。光泽度测量按照ASTM D523-14(2018)《Standard Test Method for Specular Gloss》执行,测量角为60°。拉伸强度测量按照GB/T 1040.2—2022 《塑料拉伸性能的测定 第2部分:模塑和挤塑塑料的试验条件》执行,1A型样条,拉伸速度为50 mm/min。
本文利用皮尔逊相关系数r来表征氙灯老化试验与实际曝晒试验结果的相关性。相关系数越接近1,说明二者之间的相关性越好。
氙灯老化采用Atlas公司的Ci4000氙气老化试验机,该设备具有3层试样架,可容纳65个样品。采用S Boro/S Boro滤镜后的光谱与太阳光谱十分接近,同时该设备可喷淋,模拟户外的雨水和潮湿条件。
色差仪采用Konica Minolta公司的积分球色差仪CM-700D,光学结构D/8。仪器重复性:色度值标准偏差小于0.04。
光泽度仪采用Konica Minolta公司的MG268,该设备属于三角度测试仪,具有20°、60°和85°测试角。仪器重复性:0.2 GU(10 GU~100 GU)、±0.2%(100 GU~2 000 GU)。
拉伸试验机采用Zwick公司的Z010。
图2为样品氙灯老化试验、海南和敦煌曝晒试验后的照片。PMMA+ASA、PC在海南暴晒后明显变色,在氙灯老化和敦煌曝晒后颜色变化不明显。
ASA、PA6-GF30、PP+EPDM+TD15、免喷涂PP、TPE等材料在氙灯老化和海南暴晒后的颜色变化基本一致,均比敦煌曝晒后的颜色变化更明显。
图3所示为8种材料在氙灯老化和户外暴晒下的色差-辐照量曲线。ASA和TPE在海南曝晒2年后的色差与敦煌曝晒2年后的色差基本一致,其他6种材料在海南曝晒2年后的色差均大于敦煌曝晒2年后的色差。
关于氙灯老化后的色差和户外曝晒后的色差对比,不同材料的表现结果不同。对于PMMA+ASA、PC、PMMA和PP+EPDM-TD15,氙灯老化4 000 kJ和敦煌曝晒2年的色差基本一致,均小于海南暴晒2年的结果。对于PA6-GF30、免喷涂PP和TPE,氙灯老化4 000 kJ和海南暴晒2年的色差基本一致,均大于敦煌曝晒的结果。对于ASA,氙灯老化4 000 kJ与海南、敦煌曝晒2年的结果基本一致。
图4为各种材料在3种试验下的色差相关系数。氙灯老化与海南曝晒的相关系数范围为0.42~0.96,与敦煌曝晒后的相关系数范围为0.5~0.9,说明氙灯老化试验与户外曝晒具有相关性。
对于不同的材料,氙灯老化和户外曝晒的相关系数不同。对于免喷涂PP、TPE,氙灯老化试验和户外曝晒的相关性较好,均高于0.8。对于PA6-GF30、PMMA+ASA,氙灯老化试验和户外曝晒的相关性稍差,低于0.7。对于PC、ASA、PP+EPDM-TD15和免喷涂PP,氙灯老化与海南曝晒的相关性系数更高,相关性更好。对于PMMA+ASA、PMMA、PA6-GF30和TPE,氙灯老化试验与敦煌曝晒的相关系数更高,相关性更好。
图5所示为氙灯老化对户外暴晒的色差加速因子。对于不同的材料,氙灯老化试验对户外曝晒的色差加速因子不同。除ASA外,其他材料氙灯对海南户外暴晒的加速因子均小于对敦煌户外暴晒的加速因子。
对于PMMA+ASA、PC和PMMA,氙灯对海南户外曝晒的加速因子较小,氙灯4个月的结果明显小于海南曝晒2年后的结果,如图3所示,说明氙灯老化(仅指SAE J2527-2017标准下)不能很好地模拟海南的试验结果,需要考虑其他方法验证老化性能。
图6所示为8种材料在氙灯老化和户外曝晒下的光泽度变化率-辐照量曲线。ASA在海南曝晒2年后与敦煌曝晒2年后的光泽度变化率基本一致,PP+EPDM-TD15在海南曝晒2年后的光泽度变化率小于敦煌曝晒2年后的结果。其他6种材料在海南曝晒2年后的光泽度变化率均大于敦煌曝晒2年后的结果。
关于氙灯老化后的光泽度变化率和户外曝晒后的结果对比,不同材料的表现不同。ASA、免喷涂PP和TPE在氙灯老化4 000 kJ后,与海南、敦煌曝晒2年后的光泽度变化率基本一致;PMMA+ASA、PC和PMMA氙灯老化4 000 kJ后,与敦煌曝晒2年后的光泽变化率基本一致,小于海南曝晒2年后的结果;对于PA6-GF30和免喷涂PP,氙灯老化4 000 kJ与海南曝晒2年后的光泽度变化率基本一致,高于敦煌曝晒2年后的结果;对于PP-EPDM-TD15,氙灯老化4 000 kJ与海南曝晒2年后的光泽度变化率基本一致,小于敦煌曝晒2年后的结果。
图7为各种材料在氙灯老化试验后的光泽度变化与户外曝晒结果的相关系数。氙灯老化与海南曝晒后的相关系数范围为0.11~0.98,与敦煌曝晒后的相关系数范围为0.11~0.97。
不同材料的氙灯老化和户外曝晒相关系数不同。对于PMMA+ASA、PC、PA6-GF30和免喷涂PP,氙灯老化试验和户外曝晒的相关性较好,相关系数均高于0.8。对于PMMA和ASA,氙灯老化试验和户外曝晒的相关性系数低于0.5,相关性较差。对于PP+EPDM-TD15,氙灯老化与敦煌曝晒的相关性系数为0.91,相关性较好,与海南曝晒的相关系数为0.11,相关性较差。
图8所示为氙灯老化对户外暴晒的光泽度加速因子。不同材料的氙灯老化试验对户外曝晒的光泽度加速因子不同。除PP+EPDM-TD15和PMMA外,其他材料氙灯对海南的加速因子均小于对敦煌的加速因子。
图9所示为8种材料在氙灯老化和户外曝晒下的拉伸强度-辐照量曲线。海南曝晒2年后与敦煌曝晒2年后的拉伸强度变化率基本一致。
8种材料的拉伸强度变化率均小于30%。对于PMMA+ASA,氙灯老化4 000 kJ后的拉伸强度变化率小于户外曝晒2年后的结果。对于其他材料,氙灯老化4 000 kJ后与户外曝晒2年后的拉伸强度变化率基本相同。
a.6种材料在海南曝晒2年后的色差和光泽度变化大于敦煌曝晒2年后的结果,说明大部分外饰塑料在海南曝晒的结果更严重。万宁全年的辐照量和日照时间均小于敦煌,但平均温度和平均湿度高于敦煌。说明外饰塑料的老化因素除辐照量外,温度和湿度也起着关键的作用。
b.不同材料在氙灯老化和户外曝晒试验中的表现不同。部分材料氙灯老化4 000 kJ后的结果与海南、敦煌曝晒2年后的结果一致,如ASA、TPE;部分材料氙灯老化4 000 kJ后的结果与海南曝晒2年后的结果更接近,如PA6-GF30、免喷涂PP;部分材料氙灯老化4 000 kJ后的结果与敦煌曝晒2年后的结果更接近,如PMMA+ASA、PC和PMMA。SAE J2527不能很好地模拟这3种材料海南曝晒结果,需结合其他方法验证老化性能。
c.氙灯老化与海南曝晒的色差相关系数范围为0.42~0.96,与敦煌曝晒后的色差相关系数范围为0.5~0.9,说明氙灯老化与户外曝晒的色差具有相关性。
d.氙灯老化与海南曝晒的光泽度相关系数范围为0.11~0.98,与敦煌曝晒后的光泽度相关系数范围为0.11~0.97。不同材料氙灯老化与户外曝晒后的光泽度相关性不同,ASA在氙灯老化后的光泽度与户外曝晒后的光泽度相关性较差,与海南和敦煌的相关系数分别为0.28和0.11。PA6-GF30和免喷涂PP在氙灯老化后的光泽度与海南、敦煌曝晒后的光泽度相关性均较好,相关系数均高于0.9。
e.7种外饰塑料氙灯老化4 000 kJ后与户外曝晒2年后的拉伸强度变化率基本相同,仅PMMA+ASA氙灯老化4 000 kJ后的拉伸强度变化率小于户外曝晒2年后的结果。
