Cooling performance of coolants with 6 different types and contents of additives is studied through cooling rate experiments. The result shows that the cooling performance of the coolants with the nonionic additive is the best, followed by the coolants with the mixed additive, and the coolants with the ionic additive exhibits the worst cooling performance. The lower the additive content, the better the cooling performance of the coolant. The cooling performance of coolant A containing 0.11% non-ionic addifive by mass is the best, with the shortest time corresponding to the probe temperature reaching 200 ℃, which is 6.1 s and the maximum cooling rate reaches 60 ℃/s.

通过冷速试验研究了6种不同添加剂类型及含量冷却液的冷却性能。结果表明:非离子型冷却液的冷却性能最好,其次是混合型冷却液,离子型冷却液的冷却性能最差;添加剂的含量越低,冷却液的冷却性能越好;含质量分数0.11%的非离子型添加剂的冷却液A的冷却性能最优,其探头温度达到200 ℃时所对应的时间最短,为6.1 s,且其最大冷速最大,为60 ℃/s。

Cooling performance of coolants with 6 different types and contents of additives is studied through cooling rate experiments. The result shows that the cooling performance of the coolants with the nonionic additive is the best, followed by the coolants with the mixed additive, and the coolants with the ionic additive exhibits the worst cooling performance. The lower the additive content, the better the cooling performance of the coolant. The cooling performance of coolant A containing 0.11% non-ionic addifive by mass is the best, with the shortest time corresponding to the probe temperature reaching 200 ℃, which is 6.1 s and the maximum cooling rate reaches 60 ℃/s.

现代车用发动机技术的发展趋势是高性能化和微型化,这就要求发动机具有更高的功率输出密度[1]。为满足发动机的热负荷要求,需要匹配更高效的冷却系统,解决高功率输出密度下的热平衡问题。
缸体水腔优化设计从发动机冷却系统结构入手,是提高冷却效率最直接的手段之一,但前提是合理预测腔内冷却液的传热形式和传热强度[2]。发动机缸盖和缸体部分水腔存在沸腾传热形式,具有传热效率高和所需冷却系统体积小的特点。基于对流传热和池沸腾传热叠加的Chen模型和分析气泡行为的贝尔-德莱维茨模型是目前广泛应用于柴油机沸腾传热的2种预测模型[3]。但上述2种预测模型都是基于沸腾传热系数模拟并结合限制条件和实际工况计算固体域温度场和流体域温度场来判断冷却液对发动机的冷却效果。
为了设计合理的冷却水腔并严格控制沸腾强度,需要预测冷却液的传热强度,即冷却性能,而与冷却液冷却性能直接关联的指标是沸腾传热系数[4]。目前,用于热力学计算的冷却液参数包括比热容、传热系数、密度、运动黏度,但以上参数更多适用于对流传热状态模拟,不适用于沸腾传热状态。国内外沸腾传热试验方法设备复杂、不易操作,因此采用快速评价方法验证冷却液沸腾传热状态下的冷却性能具有重要意义。
在热处理工艺中,热的金属浸入冷却介质后发生沸腾传热,与发动机缸盖和缸体部分水腔的沸腾传热状态类似。因此,为快速评价冷却液在沸腾传热状态下的冷却性能,为发动机冷却水腔设计提供参考,本文参考GB/T 30823—2014《测定工业淬火油冷却性能的镍合金探头试验方法》规定的淬火介质冷却特性检测方法[5-6],即冷速测定试验对比研究6种不同添加剂类型及含量冷却液的冷却性能。通过对冷却液和乙二醇水溶液进行冷速试验测试,比较在不同样品中冷却时探头温度达到T=200 ℃时所对应的时间以及冷却过程中样品最大冷速来判断不同添加剂类型冷却液在高温沸腾状态下的冷却性能,同时研究冷却液添加剂含量对冷却性能的影响规律。
试验装置包括分析天平、电热鼓风干燥箱和冷速试验装置。如图1所示,冷速试验装置按照GB/T 30823—2014要求搭建。
试验样品为市面上可收集到的冷却液产品和实验室自行配置的体积分数50%的乙二醇水溶液,不同样品的样品信息如表1所示。
取500 mL洁净烧杯,质量为m1,取冷却液200 mL置于烧杯中,烧杯和液体的总质量记为m2。将盛有冷却液的烧杯置于鼓风干燥箱中,干燥一周。水分和挥发物蒸干后,取出烧杯置于干燥器中,待烧杯冷却至室温后称重记为m3。计算除去水分和挥发物后冷却液的添加剂含量,添加剂含量用质量分数M表示:

冷速试验按照GB/T 30823—2014试验标准要求进行。在试验开始前打开加热炉,设置加热温度并对探头进行加热,通常,加热温度应高于探头实际使用温度;使用高硼硅材质烧杯作为容器盛装1 000 mL待测试样并加热,待样品温度和探头温度达到试验要求温度时进行后续测试。试验要求温度为90 ℃,对应冷却液的实际使用温度;探头的试验要求温度为450 ℃,对应冷却液的使用温度上限值。每种冷却液样品进行3次平行试验测定,以确保准确度和可重复性。测试时,使用恒温电加热器确保冷却液温度始终维持在实际使用温度,将探头竖直插入盛有冷却液的烧杯中,利用实时测量系统输出探头在冷却液样品中冷却的实时温度,经过处理后得到冷速-时间曲线。
试验结束后,通过分析温度-时间曲线,得到探头在不同冷却液中冷却时探头温度达到T=200 ℃时所对应的时间,同时分析冷速-时间曲线得到冷却过程中探头的最大冷速,不同类型的冷却液在高温沸腾状态下对探头的冷却性能。探头温度达到T=200 ℃时所对应的时间越短、冷却过程中探头的最大冷速越大,冷却液在高温沸腾状态下对探头的冷却性能越好。
为了比较不同添加剂配方类型冷却液的冷却效果,先选取非离子型冷却液A、混合型冷却液C和离子型冷却液E共3种不同添加剂配方类型的冷却液和无任何添加剂的样品G进行冷速试验测试,从而比较其冷却性能。为了比较不同添加剂含量对冷却液冷却性能的影响,选取非离子型冷却液A和B、混合型冷却液C和D以及离子型冷却液E和F共6种不同添加剂含量的冷却液进行冷速试验,从而得出冷却液添加剂含量与冷却性能之间的关系。
对冷却液A、C、E和50%乙二醇水溶液G进行冷却性能测试,测试结果如图2图3表2所示。
表2中可以看出,针对冷却液A、C、E和50%乙二醇水溶液G,冷却过程中探头温度达到200 ℃时所需的时间由长到短依次为E>G>C>A,冷却过程中探头的最大冷速由快到慢依次为A>C>G>E。其中冷却液A所需的时间最短,为6.1 s,且最大冷速最大,为60 ℃/s,因此冷却液A的冷却性能最好;冷却液E所需的时间最长,为22.9 s,且最大冷速最小,为37 ℃/s,因此冷却液E的冷却性能最差。
综上所述,不同添加剂配方类型的冷却液冷却性能不同,非离子型冷却液冷却性能最优,其次是混合型冷却液和50%乙二醇水溶液,离子型冷却液的冷却性能最差。
对A、B、C、D、E、F共6种不同添加剂含量的冷却液进行测试。由表1可以看出,离子型冷却液的添加剂含量最高,非离子型冷却液的含量最低。
图4所示,冷却液冷却曲线分为3个阶段,分别是蒸汽膜阶段(ab段)、沸腾阶段(bc段)和对流冷却阶段(cd段)[7]。本文讨论的沸腾传热状态对应前2个阶段,即ab段、bc段。影响ab段、bc段液体传热的因素有很多,包括比热容、导热系数以及蒸汽压等。由于上述溶液冰点基本相同,且均以乙二醇和水为基液,表明乙二醇浓度相近,比热容、导热系数等物性参数基本相同,因此主要影响因素为液体的蒸汽压[8]
对A、B、C、D、E、F共6种不同添加剂含量的冷却液进行冷却性能测试,测试结果,如图5~图8所示为不同添加剂含量样品的温度-时间曲线,如图6所示。
图7中可以看出,冷却过程中探头温度达到200 ℃时所需的时间由短到长依次为A<B<C<D<G<E<F。由图8可知,随着样品添加剂含量的增大,冷却过程中样品的最大冷速整体呈现先增大后减小的趋势,由快到慢依次为A>C>D>B>G>E>F。A所需的冷却时间最短,为6.1 s,且最大冷速最大,为60 ℃/s;F所需的冷却时间最长,为26.8 s,且最大冷速最小,为35 ℃/s。同时由图5可以看出,随着添加剂含量的增大,6种冷却液样品蒸汽膜阶段的持续时间逐渐增长,沸腾阶段的起始温度逐渐降低,二者都不利于冷却液对探头的冷却。
综上,对于含有添加剂的冷却液,添加剂的含量越低,冷却液的冷却性能越好。
根据拉乌尔定律,与纯溶剂相比,溶质含量越高,溶液的蒸汽压越低。较低添加剂含量的冷却液蒸汽压大,容易蒸发形成气泡,不仅缩短了蒸汽膜阶段的持续时间,还使冷却液提早进入沸腾阶段。液体与探头表面直接接触并不断汽化,同时利用气泡带走热量,由于沸腾阶段有较高的传热系数,因此冷却液的冷却性能好。
表1的样品添加剂含量关系和图7冷却时间与样品添加剂含量关系可直观看出,由于低的添加剂含量,非离子型冷却液的冷却性能最优;离子型冷却液由于高的添加剂含量导致其冷却性能较50%乙二醇水溶液有所下降。表3所示为探头在B、D、F这3种不同添加剂含量样品中冷却时,探头温度达到T=200 ℃时所对应的时间以及冷却过程中探头的最大冷速。
本文通过冷速试验对比了不同冷却液的冷却性能,结果显示,所选冷却液样品中非离子型冷却液的冷却性能最好,其次是混合型冷却液,离子型冷却液的冷却性能最差。对于含有添加剂的冷却液,添加剂的含量越低,冷却液可由蒸汽膜阶段更早进入沸腾阶段,冷却液的冷却性能越好。由于添加剂含量低,非离子型冷却液的冷却性能最优;离子型冷却液由于高的添加剂含量导致其冷却性能较50%乙二醇水溶液有所下降。
为满足更高热负荷的发动机开发需求,需要提高冷却液在沸腾状态下的冷却性能,即在满足抗腐蚀性要求前提下,开发非离子型低添加剂含量冷却液。
