自动驾驶、智能网联等功能的应用,使车辆配备的电气化设备越来越多,势必会增加汽车的质量[1],同时提高空间布置的困难。
为解决汽车电气化程度提高所带来的质量增加和有限空间布置困难的问题,柔性光电材料的应用成为趋势。柔性光电材料可弯曲、可随不规则曲面布置的特点使其在结构复杂位置布置具有巨大优势。同时,柔性光电材料密度小,相比传统的安装在刚性电路板上的电子元器件,轻量化效果明显。据统计,汽车电气设备质量一般约为500 kg,若能将内部电气设备替换为柔性光电材料结构,可极大减轻汽车的质量。若在汽车动力电池内部大量使用柔性光电材料器件,可有更多的空间安装电芯,提高电池能量密度,从而提升新能源电动汽车的续驶里程。若使用柔性光电材料技术将汽车覆盖件更换为柔性的太阳能电池板,可增大接受光照的面积,最大化利用太阳能资源[2]
柔性印刷电路板(Flexible Printed Circuit,FPC)的主要原材料为挠性覆铜板(Flexible Copper Clad Laminate,FCCL)。将需要加工的图形制成胶片,然后将胶片图形通过光化学反应复制到FCCL表面,在FCCL表面形成被保护起来的金属零件图形,再通过蚀刻工艺,把未保护的金属材料蚀刻去除形成蚀刻电路板,如图1所示。电路表面采用聚酰亚胺(Polyimide,PI)膜保护和绝缘。FPC可用于汽车产品的发动机电子控制单元、安全气囊控制器等电子部件,适用于在连接系统中持续运动或定期运动的场景。
FPC可分为单层、双层、多层结构,其基本结构如图2所示(以单层FPC为例)。
单层FPC一般在FCCL的表面用PI膜通过胶粘的方式覆盖作为保护层。
FPC可取代线束中的大导线,根据空间要求任意放置,可自由折叠、缠绕、堆叠,从而实现零件的组装和布线一体化,可弯曲到各种形状和尺寸的自定义外壳上,无需额外电缆。FPC可同时满足小型化和便携性要求,相比于传统的圆形光束,FPC的质量和体积比降低70%。FPC还具有优异的电气性能、介电性和耐热性等[3-4]
有机发光二极管(Organic Light Emitting Diode,OLED)是指采用极薄的有机材料涂层和玻璃基板所构成且当电流通过时会发光的有机半导体[5],如图3所示。OLED作为一种新兴的显示照明技术已在很多领域获得应用。在汽车行业中,OLED被应用于显示器、车灯和组合仪表等部件中,具有无需背光、轻薄、亮度高、可视角度大、抗振能力强和使用温度范围广等特点,具有广阔的应用前景[6]
OLED的基本结构包含铟锡氧化物(Indium Tin Oxide,ITO)阳极、空穴注入层(Hole Injection Layer,HIL)、空穴传输层(Hole Transport Layer,HTL)、发光层(Emissive Layer,EML)、电子传输层(Electron Transport Layer,ETL)、电子注入层(Electron Injection Layer,EIL)和金属阴极(Cathode),如图4所示。普通金属掩模板(Common Metal Mask,CMM)由Cathode、EIL、ETL或Cathode、HTL、HIL组成,精细金属掩模板(Fine Metal Mask,FMM)由EML和发光辅助材料(Prime)组成,其中EML和Prime分别分为红绿蓝(RGB)3种类别。
OLED的优点主要有:
a. OLED屏幕成品更薄、质量更轻,较液晶显示器(Liquid Crystal Display,LCD)屏幕厚度可减薄35%。
b. OLED没有背光层,不受空间限制,可弯曲折叠,可塑性强,可成型为各种形状,非常适合立体化、多元化的车联网场景。
c. OLED可单独像素进行点亮,无需恒定光源,能耗更低。
d. 工作温度范围广。LCD的工作温度范围为-10~70 ℃,OLED的工作温度范围为-45~80 ℃,满足北方用户冬季的使用需求。
柔性智能变色材料是一种在柔性基材上制备的具有可弯曲特性且在外部作用下材料颜色发生可逆稳定变化的材料。柔性智能变色材料按其所受外界导致材料变色的因素分为柔性电致变色、柔性热致变色、柔性力致变色等[7]
柔性电致变色材料可用于制备柔性电致变色器件(Flexible Electrochromic Devices,FECD)。FECD通常包括导电层、电致变色层、电解质层以及柔性衬底等在内的多层结构,如图5所示,其通过电致变色层中的氧化还原反应使器件变色[8-9]
FECD的优点主要有:
a. 传统电致变色器件的基底刚性和厚度较大,制造及运输成本较高。以柔性基底制备的柔性电致变色器件、柔韧性好,能够加工成曲面,拓宽了其应用领域。
b. 电致变色材料具有较高的导电效率,可利用喷墨印刷等方式在金属基体上加工制成有机电路,同时可与其他材料配合应用,进一步发挥传感和导电的功能,以达到显示与传感的综合应用。其制造工序简单、能耗低,能够达到显示与传感装置的完全有机化,同时具备环保节能、简便易控的优势。
柔性热致变色材料是指物质的颜色随外界温度的变化而变化的材料,具有易修饰、稳定性好的优势,已被应用到温度传感、智能窗、变色涂料、显示器、智能纺织品、防伪等领域。尤其在智能窗领域,由于其不需要额外耗能即可达到自动调节室内温度的效果,符合节能减排需求,具有巨大的应用前景[10]。热致变色材料通常存在一个临界温度,当温度达到临界值时,材料的光学性质发生变化,变色机理主要分为物质结构变化、分子间电子转移以及电子平衡移动反应等[11]图6为热致变色结构示例[12]
柔性光致变色材料是指在柔性基材上制造的可在光的作用下发生可逆颜色变化的薄膜材料。独特的光刺激响应以及有趣的颜色变化使其在光开关、纺织业等领域广泛应用[13]
柔性力致变色材料是指在外力(摩擦、拉伸、挤压等)作用下,将机械能转化为光能并对外释放的材料,如力致变色胶体、摩擦力致变色薄膜材料[14-15],如图7图8所示。该材料可利用机械能促使高分子链内部的化学或物理结构发生转变,因此,在力学传感、自愈合材料等领域具有巨大的应用价值[16]
在汽车电子化的趋势下,柔性光电材料在车用控制系统如组合仪表、音响、显示器、传感器等满足高信号传输量和高信赖度要求的部件中应用。在柔性光电材料元器件愈发精密的趋势下,加上立体结构的车体、配线区空间有限且弯折的特点,采用柔性光电材料元器件更符合设计要求。
FPC以其独特的柔性,在汽车传感系统中有着广泛的应用,如在新能源汽车上所搭载的锂离子电池电压监测装置、汽车外覆盖件的柔性可弯曲太阳能电池板、汽车齿轮箱控制单元的FPC电路、新能源汽车动力电池连接FPC等。据行业报告称[17],单车FPC需求超过100条,如图9所示,图10为部分FPC的应用示例[18]
OLED在汽车显示中有一定的应用,以柔性屏的方式来显示更多的信息,可以实现平视显示、油压表、涡轮压力表、副仪表等多种显示功能。OLED屏幕目前已在部分车型上应用,哪吒U使用了透明A柱,奥迪e-tron使用了OLED虚拟后视镜,凯迪拉克在全新凯雷德上搭载了OLED曲面屏系统,如图11所示[19-21]
柔性智能变色材料在汽车上的应用起步较晚,其目的是将柔性且机械性强的材料作为基底,替代机械性能差、不可弯折的基底。
FECD可用于防眩目汽车后视镜,采用纺织纤维作为基底的FECD可以应用于汽车天窗顶棚,通过不同的颜色变化,为车内营造特定的氛围;柔性光致变色材料可用于制造智能光变色膜,用于汽车修饰;柔性热致变色材料可用于光伏玻璃的制造,有望应用于显示元件、汽车玻璃、天窗和车顶等;柔性力致变色材料有望应用于汽车中控屏触摸开关。
目前,平均每辆汽车中使用超过100个传感器,随着辅助驾驶系统和自动驾驶技术的发展,传感器数量还会增加。柔性印刷电路板具有短、小、轻、薄的特点,可整合到侧板、转向盘以及其他任何形状的部件中,使其在新能源汽车上的应用得到快速发展。
有机发光二极管因其可塑性强、低能耗等优点,在新能源汽车显示系统和照明系统中得到应用。
柔性智能变色材料器件在现有变色器件上进行改进,形状的多变性赋予了其丰富的功能。由于其工艺稳定性较低、成本较高,在汽车上的应用研究起步较晚,但柔性智能变色器件应用潜力巨大,必将能成为下一场新型光电和能源技术革命的重要组成部分。
