In order to explore the influence of bio-based plasticizers and leather structure on the properties of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) leather materials for automobiles, system test and performance test are conducted to find that using suitable eco-friendly bio-based plasticizers for automotive interior PVC leather can meet requirements such as -10 ℃ and 30 000 times folding durability for automotive interior PVC leather materials. PVC leather using environmentally friendly bio-based plasticizers instead of petroleum-based plasticizers has green ecological and skin-friendly comfort properties, and emission of volatile organic compound and aldehyde-ketone substances is significantly lower than that of ordinary PVC leather for automotive interior, which has remarkable low-volatile and environmental protection advantages.

为研究生物基增塑剂及皮革结构对汽车用聚氯乙烯(PVC)革材料性能的影响,通过系统试验与性能测试发现:在汽车内饰用人造革生产中,选用适配的环保型生物基增塑剂可使材料性能满足汽车内饰PVC人造革材料标准,如在环境温度为-10 ℃的条件下经3万次耐折测试无破损等;使用环保型生物基增塑剂代替石油基增塑剂的PVC人造革具有绿色生态和亲肤舒适属性,其挥发性有机物及醛酮类物质的散发量显著低于普通汽车内饰用PVC革,具有显著的低挥发环保性能优势。

为研究生物基增塑剂及皮革结构对汽车用聚氯乙烯(PVC)革材料性能的影响,通过系统试验与性能测试发现:在汽车内饰用人造革生产中,选用适配的环保型生物基增塑剂可使材料性能满足汽车内饰PVC人造革材料标准,如在环境温度为-10 ℃的条件下经3万次耐折测试无破损等;使用环保型生物基增塑剂代替石油基增塑剂的PVC人造革具有绿色生态和亲肤舒适属性,其挥发性有机物及醛酮类物质的散发量显著低于普通汽车内饰用PVC革,具有显著的低挥发环保性能优势。

In order to explore the influence of bio-based plasticizers and leather structure on the properties of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) leather materials for automobiles, system test and performance test are conducted to find that using suitable eco-friendly bio-based plasticizers for automotive interior PVC leather can meet requirements such as -10 ℃ and 30 000 times folding durability for automotive interior PVC leather materials. PVC leather using environmentally friendly bio-based plasticizers instead of petroleum-based plasticizers has green ecological and skin-friendly comfort properties, and emission of volatile organic compound and aldehyde-ketone substances is significantly lower than that of ordinary PVC leather for automotive interior, which has remarkable low-volatile and environmental protection advantages.

汽车内饰用皮革分为天然皮革和人造皮革。其中,人造革在汽车内饰领域应用广泛,主要类型有聚氯乙烯(Polyvinyl Chloride,PVC)革、聚氨酯(Polyurethane,PU)革和超细纤维合成革(超纤革)。PVC革发泡层常采用偶氮二甲酰胺(Azodicarbonamide,AC)发泡。AC发泡剂在高温条件下会分解产生氮气(N2)、一氧化碳(CO)、二氧化碳(CO2)和氨气(NH3)等,是导致PVC革气味性差的主要原因之一。此外,为改善PVC革的物理性能,如降低树脂硬度、软化温度、弹性模量及脆化温度,提高柔韧性及伸长率[1],增强皮革耐磨性和抗老化性能等,通常会添加多种功能助剂。其中,增塑剂的添加量质量分数占比为45%~55%。目前,PVC革使用的主流增塑剂大多来源于石油,在其全生命周期中,会对人体健康和环境造成一定危害。
本文以压延成型PVC革为研究对象,从结构优化、生物基增塑剂的选择2个方面进行人造PVC革的研究,以期获得性能稳定且满足汽车内饰材料性能要求的PVC革,同时赋予人造革绿色环保属性。
典型的PVC人造革结构由面层、发泡层和基布层构成。其中,面层主要承担颜色赋予与耐磨性能等保障功能;发泡层通过构建泡孔结构赋予人造革优异的柔软度、弹性,同时提升革的厚度和耐用性;基布层为整体结构提供力学支撑,确保人造革具备所需的整体强度。
在压延成型工艺制备PVC革的过程中,发泡层主要采用发泡剂发泡工艺成型。AC发泡剂是人造革中最常用的发泡剂,其受热分解产生的气体可使材料形成泡孔结构,广泛应用于人造PVC革的生产。AC发泡剂受热分解时,首先发生分子内重排生成尿素(CO(NH2)2)和联二脲(C2H6N4O2),随着温度升高,尿素分解生成异氰酸(HNCO)和NH3,联二脲分解为尿唑(C2H3N3O)和异氰酸,最终释放出N2、CO、CO2和NH3。上述具有刺激性气味的分解产物释放缓慢,是造成PVC革气味性劣化的关键因素。
针对上述问题,本文对生物基PVC革的结构进行优化设计,其结构自上至下依次为树脂面层、树脂底层、基布层。通过取消传统结构中的发泡层,可消除发泡剂分解产生的刺激性气味。生物基人造革结构示意如图1所示。
由于取消发泡层,树脂层厚度减小,进而导致皮革弹性与柔软度降低,为弥补这一缺陷,通过选择柔软性较好的基布作为人造革支撑层,并调节树脂层柔软度、优化基布与树脂层厚度配比,达到改善皮革触感、增加真皮质感的效果。
根据增塑理论,增塑剂和PVC树脂之间存在相互作用,当各种原料混合物受热后,增塑剂分子扩散进入高分子聚合物体系,通过分子间的物理隔离作用,降低聚合物分子间的内聚力,形成有效阻碍聚合物形成的硬网络结构,能够降低PVC玻璃化转变温度Tg、使聚合物软化,同时加快聚合物分子链的移动速率,达到改善材料弹性、韧性和延展性的目的。
在汽车内饰人造革领域,石油基增塑剂应用广泛,常见类型有邻苯二甲酸二丙基庚酯(Di-propylheptyl Phthalate,DPHP)、邻苯二甲酸911酯(911 Phthalate,911P)、邻苯二甲酸二异癸酯(Di-isodecyl Phthalate,DIDP)以及邻苯二甲酸二异壬酯(Di-isononyl Phthalate,DINP)[2],此类增塑剂的原料源于煤或石油等不可再生资源,在加工和使用过程中会对环境造成污染且难以降解。
相较于石油基增塑剂,生物基增塑剂以植物油为原料,通过对植物种子等进行生物发酵、挤压处理,再经高温蒸馏、除酸去味、脱脂脱蜡等工序,获得生物质基础成分,随后对生物质基础成分进行酯化处理、离心收集制得。生物基增塑剂具有可再生性强、生物降解性优异和无毒害等优点,不受石油资源供应波动影响,生物基含量较高。因此,针对来源于植物油的生物基增塑剂的开发及其在人造革中的应用,以及人造革新结构设计和工艺优化成为当前研究的重点[3]
本文选择2种主要成分不同的生物基增塑剂(Bio-PI-A和Bio-PI-B)进行对比分析,具体参数对比如表1所示。
通过外观颜色、密度、酸值、加热减量、PVC试片及析出等维度指标的系统对比,Bio-PI-B各项性能均优于Bio-PI-A。
基于此,进一步选取广泛应用于汽车内饰人造PVC革的石油基增塑剂911P与Bio-PI-B生物基增塑剂开展性能对比,如表2所示。
对比结果表明,生物基增塑剂Bio-PI-B与石油基增塑剂911P的物性参数相近,为后续增塑效果对比奠定了基础。
生物基增塑剂分子多为直链结构,石油基增塑剂分子多为支链结构。直链烷基结构的增塑剂分子因结构相对规整,更易渗透到聚合物体系内部,高效发挥增塑作用,具备较高的增塑效率。而支链烷基结构的增塑剂分子构型较为复杂,空间位阻较大,在聚合物中的扩散渗透能力较弱,增塑效率相对较低。
采用Bio-PI-B增塑剂与911P增塑剂分别制备PVC试片。试片厚度为0.4~0.5 mm,具体原料配比如表3所示。将PVC试片裁切为标准试样开展力学性能测试。使用Bio-PI-B生物基增塑剂的样品标记为Bio-PI-PVC,使用911P石油基增塑剂的样品标记为911P-PVC。依据GB/T 1040.3—2006《塑料拉伸性能的测定 第3部分:薄膜和薄片的试验条件》进行拉伸性能测试,按QB/T 1130—1991《塑料直角撕裂性能试验方法》规定进行撕裂性能测试,测试结果如表4所示。
表4可知,PVC试片的力学性能结果对比如下:
a.在拉伸强度方面,Bio-PI-PVC试样纵向拉伸强度较911P-PVC提高6.92%,横向拉伸强度较911P-PVC提高9.02%。
b.断裂伸长率方面,Bio-PI-PVC的纵向值较911P-PVC提高19.93%,横向值较911P-PVC提高13.93%。
c.撕裂强度方面,Bio-PI-PVC的纵向撕裂强度较911P-PVC提高23.21%,横向撕裂强度较911P-PVC提高3.93%。
d. Bio-PI-PVC气味评分优于911P-PVC。
对比结果表明,使用Bio-PI-B生物基增塑剂制备的PVC试片在拉伸、断裂、撕裂等力学性能维度均显著优于石油基增塑剂试样。因此,生物基增塑剂可替代石油基增塑剂,且增塑效果良好,能够保证PVC革制品的性能。
表3原料比例为基准,将生物基增塑剂的用量分别设定为38%、41%、44%、47%、49%,制备5种不同规格的PVC试片,且试片厚度均为0.4~0.5 mm,随后依据GB/T 1040.3—2006对试片进行裁切,制取用于拉伸性能测试的试样,同时,按照QB/T 1130—1991裁制用于测试撕裂强度的试样。不同增塑剂用量下的PVC试片拉伸强度和断裂伸长率对比如图2图3所示,撕裂强度对比结果如图4所示。
图2~图4可知,随着生物基增塑剂添加量的逐步增加,皮革的拉伸强度显著下降,断裂伸长率明显上升。当生物基增塑剂含量低于40%时,撕裂强度的变化幅度较小,但当含量超过40%时,撕裂强度明显下降。这一现象表明,增塑剂起到增塑作用,使皮革变软变韧,具体表现为皮革的拉伸强度降低,断裂伸长率升高以及撕裂强度降低。
基于以上试验数据确定生物基增塑剂添加量范围为41%~47%。为进一步确定生物基增塑剂的最佳用量,选取生物基增塑剂用量比例分别为41%、44%和47%的3种试片进行低温耐折测试,测试结果如表5所示。
表5可知:当增塑剂占比为41%时,在温度为-10 ℃的条件下进行3万次测试后,皮革表面明显裂开,不符合技术要求;当增塑剂占比为44%时,皮革表面出现裂纹,不合格;当增塑剂占比为47%时,皮革表面无裂纹,符合技术要求。综上,确定生物基增塑剂用于汽车内饰PVC革的最佳用量比例为44%~47%。
本文采用压延工艺制备生物基人造PVC革,并对其材料耐老化性能进行系统测试,制备工艺流程如图5所示。在耐老化性能测试环节,依据汽车内饰用PVC革的材料耐久性能标准对生物基PVC革进行性能测试。测试结果表明,各项指标均满足技术要求,如表6所示。
此外,为进一步探究生物基 PVC 革的环保性能,按企业标准《汽车内饰材料及零部件挥发性有机物测定方法》分别对生物基PVC革和汽车内饰用普通PVC革进行挥发性有机物及醛酮类物质含量测试,结果如表7所示。
测试结果表明,生物基PVC革在上述指标上均显著低于传统普通PVC革,其气味性评分优于普通PVC革,生物基PVC革在环保性能方面更具优势。
综合力学性能测试、低温耐折性能测试、耐老化性能测试以及环保性能测试结果,生物基增塑剂不仅在增塑效果上能够充分满足汽车用人造革材料的各项性能要求,且在环保性能上更具优势。因此,生物基增塑剂完全具备替代石油基增塑剂应用于汽车内饰人造革生产的条件。
本文采用生物基增塑剂替代石油基增塑剂,对PVC革结构进行优化设计,放弃AC发泡剂,制备出低挥发生物基PVC革,经系统性能测试验证,该新型生物基PVC革的各项性能指标均满足汽车内饰的应用要求。相较于普通汽车内饰用PVC革,新型材料在气味性方面优于普通汽车内饰用PVC革,其挥发性有机物和醛酮类物质含量达到同类产品最优水平,具有产品气味清新、安全亲肤的属性,为汽车内饰材料的绿色化、高品质发展提供了解决方案。
