The rainwater pollution on vehicle side window affects driver’s safety critically, it is necessary to study this kind of water management situations. By improving the key parameters of windshield water bar, and in combination of vehicle climate wind tunnel test results of different windshield water bars of a SUV, this article quantiataively analyzes water pollution area of the front side window and the exterior rear view mirror area by image processing technology, and proposes an evaluation method considering the lateral and rearview field comprehensively. It is found that increasing the height of the windshield water bar and the water storage area can reduce the water flow to the side window and weaken the water pollution of the side window. Finally, a water bar scheme for the front wind window with better visual field and engineering feasibility is obtained.

针对汽车侧窗水污染问题,通过改进前风窗挡水条的关键参数,结合某款SUV车型不同前风窗挡水条的汽车环境风洞试验结果,利用图像处理技术定量分析前侧窗和外后视镜镜面区域的水污染面积,给出一种综合考虑侧向和后向视野的评价方法。结果表明,增加前风窗挡水条高度及储水面积均可减少流向侧窗的水量,弱化侧窗水污染,最终获得视野更优且工程可实现的前风窗挡水条方案。

针对汽车侧窗水污染问题,通过改进前风窗挡水条的关键参数,结合某款SUV车型不同前风窗挡水条的汽车环境风洞试验结果,利用图像处理技术定量分析前侧窗和外后视镜镜面区域的水污染面积,给出一种综合考虑侧向和后向视野的评价方法。结果表明,增加前风窗挡水条高度及储水面积均可减少流向侧窗的水量,弱化侧窗水污染,最终获得视野更优且工程可实现的前风窗挡水条方案。

The rainwater pollution on vehicle side window affects driver’s safety critically, it is necessary to study this kind of water management situations. By improving the key parameters of windshield water bar, and in combination of vehicle climate wind tunnel test results of different windshield water bars of a SUV, this article quantiataively analyzes water pollution area of the front side window and the exterior rear view mirror area by image processing technology, and proposes an evaluation method considering the lateral and rearview field comprehensively. It is found that increasing the height of the windshield water bar and the water storage area can reduce the water flow to the side window and weaken the water pollution of the side window. Finally, a water bar scheme for the front wind window with better visual field and engineering feasibility is obtained.

研究表明,高速公路雨天行车工况下的事故率高于非雨天工况,且事故严重程度更高[1-2]。其主要原因之一是侧窗和外后视镜的雨水污染影响驾驶员的侧向和后向视野,降低驾驶员感知车辆周边环境的能力,进而影响行车安全[3-4]。良好的侧窗水管理性能可以保证雨天行车场景下车外视野清晰,提高车辆的安全性。
2012年,Gaylard等[5]通过计算流体力学(Computational Fluid Dynamics,CFD)仿真和环境风洞雨水污染试验,观察了雨天行车工况下雨水的汇集和运动轨迹。2015年,Jilesen等[6]通过对整车环境风洞内流场和雨水参数进行测量,在整车环境风洞中复现车辆雨天行驶环境,且具备稳定性和可重复性等优势,整车环境风洞逐渐成为研究车辆雨天行车相关工况的重要手段。此外,多位学者使用CFD仿真手段对车辆雨天行车侧窗水污染的形成机制和改进方向进行了研究[7-10]。当前国内相关研究大多通过CFD仿真和风洞试验对侧窗水污染现象进行观察,缺乏对侧窗水污染性能的评价方法及针对实车的改进方案,工程应用指导意义有限。
本文以某纯电动SUV为研究对象,使用3D打印技术制作前风窗挡水条方案样件,在整车环境风洞中对不同的挡水条方案进行侧窗水污染试验,通过建立更为精细的评价方法,分析挡水条结构对侧窗水污染的影响,进而对侧窗水污染进行改进。
本文试验对象为某纯电动SUV车型,车辆状态为预批量认可整车,车辆结构和功能与量产车型一致。
雨天行车工况下,前侧窗雨水的主要来源为A柱溢流,刮水器周期性刮擦将增加溢流的水量[11]。前风窗挡水条的主要作用是将雨水收集并引流至前风窗落水槽,减少越过A柱到达前侧窗的雨水。前风窗挡水条的剖面结构如图1a所示,其影响挡水性能的关键参数是挡水条边缘与前风窗玻璃之间的高度差H、挡水条的宽度L,以及与上述两个参数关联的储水面积S,图中S'为伴随储水面积。
本研究使用的方案如下:方案1为初始方案,如图1a所示;方案2为在保证不遮挡驾驶员视野的前提下,通过工程设计增大前风窗挡水条的宽度L,相应地增加挡水条与前风窗玻璃形成的储水面积S,如图1b所示;方案3是在方案1基础上,通过增大前风窗挡水条边缘与前风窗玻璃表面之间的高度差H,相应地增加储水面积S,如图1c所示。
3种方案的关键参数如表1所示。为对比改进效果,方案2、方案3的储水面积相同。
前风窗挡水条样件均由ABS硬塑料3D打印获得,试验时按照上述3种方案进行更换。
在同济大学整车环境风洞开展试验,配备雨水模拟产生装置、荧光显示装置和摄像装置等。
雨水模拟产生装置的喷嘴支架整体呈矩形,其短边约1 m,长边约3 m,共布置26个实心锥喷嘴,相对位置如图2所示。为保证产生的水滴更加均匀,喷嘴朝向与来流方向相反,大的水滴在来流的作用下将会破碎为颗粒更小的均匀水滴。
试验车辆及相关设备布置如图3所示。车辆与雨水模拟喷嘴支架均沿风洞中心轴线对称布置,喷嘴支架安装于喷口处,车头与喷口流向的距离为3.2 m,试验时激活车辆的电子驻车制动功能。
试验前调整雨水模拟喷嘴支架的垂向位置,使雨水全面覆盖前发动机罩及车顶,以保证前风窗玻璃、A柱区域、外后视镜等与侧窗水污染密切相关的区域均处于模拟雨水环境中。支架中心离地高度为1.1 m。
紫外灯矩阵置于流场外,位于前侧窗玻璃侧面,保证试验过程中前侧窗玻璃区域紫外灯照度。拍摄装置置于前侧窗玻璃侧面,试验前对摄像装置和参数进行调整,保证前侧窗区域的水流发展被清晰记录。
试验用水为荧光水,配合紫外灯矩阵使用。试验时关闭试验段内环境光源,隔绝风洞控制室光源,仅打开紫外灯矩阵,以便在黑暗环境中记录前侧窗的水迹发展过程。
试验过程中使用摄像机记录前侧窗水污染的发展情况,并选取水迹发展稳定后的图片作为试验结果,试验结束后拍摄外后视镜镜面水迹分布情况。每次试验前均使用清水对前风窗玻璃、A柱区域、后视镜区域等相关区域进行清洗,并使用干净纱布擦拭,避免前序试验过程残留的荧光水剂的干扰。
试验过程中保持喷嘴支架供水量不变,供水压力为0.45 MPa,总供水量为150 L/h。试验风速由低到高分别为70 km/h、90 km/h、110 km/h,单次试验时间为2 min,试验过程中刮水器设置为持续低速挡。每个方案试验结束后,更换前风窗挡水条样件。
试验车辆配置平行式刮水器。为保证驾驶员的前向视野,被刮水器刮向驾驶员侧A柱的雨水更多,驾驶员侧前侧窗玻璃发生水污染的可能性和严重性也会更高。因此,本文仅对驾驶员侧前侧窗玻璃及外后视镜镜面进行观察。
驾驶员通过前侧窗和外后视镜获得侧向视野和后向视野,将驾驶员通过眼点看向外后视镜穿过侧窗玻璃的区域称为前侧窗核心视野区,通过此视野区可以获得车外侧向视野,也可以通过该视野区和外后视镜镜面获得车辆的后向视野。
选择由SAE标准第95百分位身高、中等身材男性和第5百分位身高、中等身材女性的左、右眼点的中间点分别向驾驶员侧外后视镜镜片边缘作锥形投射,在驾驶员侧前侧窗形成了两个区域,这两个视野区的叠加区域即为前侧窗核心视野区,前侧窗玻璃上的其他区域为侧向视野区,如图4所示。
早期研究中,侧窗水污染试验的评价方式为对关注区域进行主观评价,人为判定侧窗水污染性能是否可接受。该评价方法较为符合此项性能试验的初衷,即驾驶员在雨天行车过程中认为侧窗视野是否清晰,但该评价结果具有不确定性,较为依赖评价人员,并且对差别较小的试验结果无法准确分析。
在紫外灯的照射下,原本无色的水在关注区域内会显示为荧光剂的颜色,可用于判断区域是否被水污染。根据式(1)可计算出关注区域内水污染面积比S,其值越大说明关注区域被水污染的情况越严重:

式中:N为关注区域内像素点总数,V为区域内绿色光强度大于阈值的像素点数量。
以70 km/h风速工况下方案1的前风窗挡水条为例,使用图像处理技术对关注区域进行处理,结果如图5所示,线框区域内为关注区域。对上述图像进行技术处理,可以计算出此工况下前侧窗、前侧窗核心视野区和外后视镜镜面的水污染比例。
驾驶员可以通过前侧窗直接获得车外侧向视野,也可以通过前侧窗和外后视镜间接获得侧向视野。侧向视野系数C和后向视野系数B越大,驾驶员获得侧向视野和后向视野的能力越强:

式中:S1、S2、S3分别为前侧窗核心视野区、前侧窗其他区域、外后视镜镜面的水污染面积比,N1、N2为前侧窗核心视野区、前侧窗其他区域的像素点数量。
通过对关注区域水污染占比的计算分析,可以直观地对比不同方案的侧窗水污染性能。综合考虑驾驶员侧向视野和后向视野,可得到该测试工况下的综合得分P,得分越高,车辆此项性能表现越好:

试验观察可知,在3种试验速度下,开启雨水模拟系统并起风至风速达到设置风速30 s后,前侧窗玻璃表面的雨水发展均趋向稳定。选取2 min时前侧窗的拍摄视频截图及外后视镜镜面图片作为试验结果。不同速度工况下经过处理的侧窗水污染试验结果如图6所示。
比较不同的试验风速,在速度较低(70 km/h)的工况下,3种方案均未发生明显的A柱溢流,前侧窗水污染面积较小,但前侧窗核心视野区水污染面积较大,且多为点状水迹,部分汇集成小股水流。在速度较高(90 km/h和110 km/h)的工况下,均有明显A柱溢流发生,前侧窗水污染面积较大,但前侧窗核心视野区水污染面积较小,且多为条状水迹。
上述现象产生的原因为:在低速工况下,雨水受重力影响更严重,多数雨水在前风窗挡水条的阻挡下,流向前风窗玻璃下方的落水槽,而非越过A柱到达前侧窗,前侧窗玻璃及外后视镜表面的雨水主要为来流夹带的水滴,水滴附着在相关区域后,受自身重力、表面摩擦力和来流剪切力的共同作用,汇集成小股水流向下发展;而在高速工况下,雨水在前风窗玻璃表面受到较强的来流剪切力,部分雨水越过前风窗挡水条到达前侧窗玻璃,形成条状水迹,且风速越高,水迹分布在前侧窗玻璃表面的位置越靠上。
对比不同方案,在速度较低(70 km/h)的工况下,对于方案1和方案2,侧窗侧向视野区、侧窗核心视野区几乎被水迹占满,方案3侧窗核心视野区水污染面积较小。在速度较高(90 km/h和110 km/h)的工况下,方案1和方案2的侧窗侧向视野区水污染面积较大,方案3侧窗侧向视野区水污染面积较小。整体而言,方案3较好。
上述对试验结果的直观观察,无法定量分析不同方案的优劣。使用图像处理技术,可得到3种前风窗挡水条方案的侧向视野系数C和后向视野系数B,如图7所示。
对关注区域内水污染占比情况进行分析可知:在70~110 km/h速度范围内,速度越高,驾驶员侧向视野系数越小,即侧窗水污染面积越大,驾驶员获得侧向视野的能力越差;随着速度的提高,驾驶员后向视野系数增大,即前侧窗核心视野区和外后视镜镜面的综合水污染面积越小,驾驶员通过外后视镜获得后向视野的能力越好。在不同的测试速度工况下,方案3的侧向视野系数和后向视野系数均最大。3种方案各工况综合得分如图8所示。
通过上述研究,本文选择方案3为最佳方案,并得出以下结论:
a.行驶车速对水污染视野有明显影响。低速工况下,雨水受重力影响更大、受气流剪切力较小,A柱溢流较弱,关注区域内雨水主要为来流直接夹带附着;高速工况下,侧窗表面来流剪切力较大,A柱溢流较强,雨水形成条状水迹,随风速提高,侧窗水迹位置上移,对后向视野有利。
b.挡水条的作用是阻挡A柱溢流。增加挡水条储水面积可减弱A柱溢流,更大的挡水条高度可进一步增大实际储水面积,防污效果更佳,方案设计时应优先考虑增加挡水条高度。
c.结合荧光显像图像获取与图像像素点颜色阈值分析技术,可以有效获得关注区域内的水污染情况,是一种高效准确且客观的水管理试验测试手段。
d.区分侧向视野和后向视野,赋予不同系数,给出视野综合得分,能简便精准地对驾驶员视野进行客观判断,是一种更适用于工程项目开发的评价方法。
