In response to the lack of research on the performance, standards, and testing methods of Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) system for motor vehicles in China at present, this paper introduced the working principle of ISA, studied the typical test scenarios specified in EU 2021/1958. On this basis, a motor vehicles’ ISA performance testing system and scenario were developed and a road test of a passenger car’s ISA performance was carried out according to the standard. The results indicate that the test vehicle’s ISA system complies with the requirements of EU 2021/1958 and the higher the vehicle speed, the later the ISA system will recognize the speed limit sign and when developing ISA systems attention should be paid to the sensitivity of the ISA system to recognize the speed limit sign when the speed is high.

针对目前国内对机动车智能速度辅助(ISA)系统性能、标准及测试方法研究较少的问题,介绍了ISA系统的工作原理,研究了EU 2021/1958规定的典型测试场景,在此基础上开发了机动车ISA性能测试系统和测试场景,并依据标准完成对某乘用车ISA系统性能的道路验证测试。测试结果表明:该车辆ISA系统符合EU 2021/1958的要求,且车速越高,系统识别限速标志越晚,开发ISA系统时应关注高速条件下系统识别限速标志的灵敏度问题。

针对目前国内对机动车智能速度辅助(ISA)系统性能、标准及测试方法研究较少的问题,介绍了ISA系统的工作原理,研究了EU 2021/1958规定的典型测试场景,在此基础上开发了机动车ISA性能测试系统和测试场景,并依据标准完成对某乘用车ISA系统性能的道路验证测试。测试结果表明:该车辆ISA系统符合EU 2021/1958的要求,且车速越高,系统识别限速标志越晚,开发ISA系统时应关注高速条件下系统识别限速标志的灵敏度问题。

In response to the lack of research on the performance, standards, and testing methods of Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) system for motor vehicles in China at present, this paper introduced the working principle of ISA, studied the typical test scenarios specified in EU 2021/1958. On this basis, a motor vehicles’ ISA performance testing system and scenario were developed and a road test of a passenger car’s ISA performance was carried out according to the standard. The results indicate that the test vehicle’s ISA system complies with the requirements of EU 2021/1958 and the higher the vehicle speed, the later the ISA system will recognize the speed limit sign and when developing ISA systems attention should be paid to the sensitivity of the ISA system to recognize the speed limit sign when the speed is high.

目前,汽车行业仍面临严重的道路交通安全问题[1-2],超速驾驶是引起交通事故的主要原因之一[3]。智能速度辅助(Intelligent Speed Assistance,ISA)系统可在车辆超过限速时提示驾驶员减速并在必要时主动减速,旨在避免超速造成事故或减轻事故后果[4-6],成为研究人员关注的焦点[7-9]
欧盟委员会于2021年正式发布EU 2021/1958。根据EU 2019/2144,M类和N类机动车自2022年7月6日起需要为新车型配备ISA系统,2022年7月7日起,所有新车配备ISA系统,系统具体技术要求和测试要求参照该标准附录Ⅱ即EU 2021/1958执行。美国与日本目前尚无ISA系统相关法规。2020年以来,我国交通运输部牵头在“两客一危一重货”重点车辆上安装智能视频监控系统,对驾驶人驾驶行为及车辆运行轨迹(车速、地理位置等)进行实时监控,以便识别、预警提示交通违法行为,但这种管控未对即时车速与车速限制要求符合情况进行监控,国内目前尚无ISA系统强制法规要求。总体而言,目前国内对机动车ISA系统性能、标准及测试方法研究较少。
EU 2021/1958作为世界上首个测评机动车ISA系统性能的标准,得到了广泛认可和应用。本文首先介绍ISA系统的工作原理及EU 2021/1958规定的典型测试场景,并研究开发机动车ISA性能测试系统和测试场景,最后进行道路验证测试,以期为国内机动车ISA系统的开发和相关标准的制定提供参考。
ISA系统主要由控制器、摄像头、纵向控制执行器及人机交互界面组成[10],其中人机交互界面主要包括ISA系统开关、ISA系统预警提示和ISA系统状态提示信息。
ISA系统基于车辆安装的传感设备实时感知车辆的行驶状态(车辆行驶方向、车速及距离等数据),基于车速标志识别摄像头和/或车载GPS接收机、导航仪等网联设备,确定车辆行驶位置的道路限速。ISA系统控制器接收限速信息后,结合驾驶员的操作意图和操作信息,对数据进行融合分析处理。在车辆处于超速行驶的危险状况下,首先通过显示单元向驾驶员提供预警信息,并在必要时利用车辆的电子节气门、空气泵等装置对节气门及制动踏板等纵向控制执行器进行控制,从而保证车辆安全、平稳行驶[8]
根据EU 2021/1958的要求,机动车ISA系统应包括车速限制信息功能(Speed Limit Information Function,SLIF)和车速限制警告功能(Speed Limit Warning Function,SLWF)或车速控制功能(Speed Control Function,SCF),标准中规定的各工况要求如表1所示,SLIF-显式限速标志感知测试、SLWF(视觉+声学/触觉)限速警告测试及SCF(加速、响应及超控工况)测试工况是其中的典型工况。
图1所示,试验车辆保持在车道中心以稳定大于限速标志牌规定速度驶向显式限速标志。
试验车辆在车道中心以某稳定速度驶向限速标志,限速标志的限速值应至少比车辆初始速度高38%。平稳加速以启动SLWF系统,使其分别以比测试限速高1%~8%、11%~18%、21%~28%及31%~38%的速度通过限速标志,继续行驶直到观察到视觉警告、级联声学或触觉警告。对于声学警告,继续行驶至少5.0 s,然后在3 s内减速到8 s前的测试限制速度以下;对于触觉警告,继续行驶至少12.0 s,然后在3 s内减速到15 s前的测试限制速度以下。
试验车辆在初始速度范围内在SCF激活状态下驾驶,驾驶员不应施加主动超控动作,直到启动SCF干预。测试分为3个场景:城市限速,初始速度≤20 km/h,测试限速为50 km/h;城际限速,初始速度≤50 km/h,测试限速为80 km/h;高速公路限速,初始速度≤100 km/h,测试限速为130 km/h。
在城市工况下进行限速为50 km/h的测试,试验车辆初始速度为70~79 km/h,初始速度限值80 km/h;SCF激活状态下,车辆应在初始仪表车速范围内恒速行驶,感知速度限值应设置为初始速度限值以使SCF功能不触发。然后设置感知速度限值为试验限速值,车辆继续在初始仪表车速范围内恒速行驶以触发SCF。
在城市工况下进行限速为50 km/h的测试,试验车辆初始速度≤35 km/h,超控结束时速度应≥65 km/h。试验车辆应在SCF激活状态下恒速行驶,感知限速应为试验限速值。对车辆进行加速时不应进行主动超控,直到启动SCF干预。干预启动后采用主动超控动作将车辆加速到最终速度范围,然后将车辆减速至仪表车速低于试验限速,并再次在不主动超控状态下加速,直至启动SCF干预。
根据EU 2021/1958,ISA系统性能试验需测量试验车辆速度、车辆参考点与限速标志纵向相对距离及系统报警时刻,具有较高精度要求。为保证测试的精度、可靠性和可重复性,采用专业的测试设备进行测试。
图2所示,选用惯性导航系统对车辆的速度进行测量,为提高定位精度、保证试验准确性,建立测试基站,选用实时动态(Real Time Kinematic,RTK)测量系统对被测车辆参考点与限速标志纵向相对距离进行分析采集,RTK测量系统锁定后实时动态位置精度可达到2 cm。采用如图3a所示的罗技高清网络摄像头实时拍摄组合仪表视觉报警显示区域以采集报警视觉信号,采用如图3b所示的AVAD3系统对声音报警信号进行实时采集和捕捉,二者组成预警信号采集系统可以准确获取报警时刻。
ISA系统整车道路试验软、硬件及监控方案如图4所示,主要子系统包括惯性导航系统、通信基站系统(主要包括测试基站与RTK测量系统)及预警信号(包括声学与视觉信号)采集系统。测试时利用惯性导航系统与RTK测量配套软件完成其配置设置,并采用如图3c所示的德威创数据采集器通过CAN总线通信协议获取试验车辆车速、相对限速标志位置及系统报警信号等信息,从而可以通过软件实时获取车辆运动状态与测试过程数据等试验动态信息。
将限速标志固定于试验道路侧方,构建ISA系统典型测试场景,如图5所示。测试前需通过RTK测量系统设置试验车辆ISA系统参考点与限速标志纵向相对距离为零的位置。测试时通过RTK测量系统实时监测试验车辆与车道中心线相对距离以保证车辆与限速标志间的横向距离稳定,然后即可按照标准中对各测试工况的要求驾驶试验车辆经过限速标志完成ISA系统性能测试。
采用某款M3类乘用车作为试验车辆,按照EU 2021/1958的要求进行ISA系统性能测试,车辆参数如表2所示。
根据表2所示试验车辆ISA系统类别及报警形式,依据标准要求使用所构建的测试系统和测试场景,对车辆进行SLIF-显式限速标志感知测试与SLWF(视觉+声学/触觉)限速警告测试。
为验证所设计试验方案的可行性,在汽车试验场的干燥水泥路面上开展试验。本文选取试验车辆最前端作为ISA系统的参考点。如图6所示,通过实时数据平台,可准确采集试验车辆速度、试验车辆参考点与限速标志纵向相对距离及报警时刻,从而实时监控车辆运动状态和测试过程数据。
根据图6所示SLIF-显式限速标志感知测试曲线,对比车辆参考点与限速标志牌位置相对距离为0的时刻t1与视频中显示识别出限速标志牌的时刻t2可知,在车辆参考点经过限速标志牌前0.10 s,车辆即可识别出限速标志,满足标准要求。
根据SLWF(试验车辆速度比测试限速高1%~8%)限速警告测试实时数据获得测试曲线如图7所示。由图7可知,试验车辆以53 km/h的速度均匀接近并驶过限速标志,在车辆参考点经过限速标志0.15 s和2.65 s后分别提供视觉和声学报警,声学报警持续3.10 s,视觉报警持续至声学报警结束后7.18 s,满足标准要求。不同试验车速工况下警告测试结果统计如表3所示,均满足标准要求。
对该警告测试结果进一步分析发现,如表4所示,4种试验车速下测试车辆限速标志识别时延有较大差异,其中限速标志识别位置与限速标志的距离为正或限速标志识别时延为负,代表车辆参考点经过限速标志前已识别。随着车速提高,限速标志识别时延逐渐增大,如图8所示。为分析其原因,对比不同车速下限速标志识别位置,发现随着车速提高,限速标志识别位置越来越靠后,导致识别时延逐渐增大,如图9所示。这可能是由于车速越高,ISA系统感知与识别限速标志的难度越大,说明ISA系统开发时应关注车速较高时系统准确感知识别限速标志的灵敏度问题。
针对目前国内对机动车智能速度辅助(ISA)系统性能、标准及测试方法研究较少的现状,本文介绍了ISA系统的工作原理,并详细研究了EU 2021/1958法规对机动车ISA系统性能的典型测试场景及评价指标,开发了一套用于机动车ISA系统性能测试评价的测试系统,并完成了道路验证测试,可为国内机动车ISA系统的开发和相关标准的制定提供参考。
通过分析某乘用车道路试验验证结果发现,车速越高时,车辆识别限速标志牌的位置和时间越晚,故开发ISA系统时应关注车速较高时系统感知识别限速标志的灵敏度问题。
