In order to solve the defects of decreased vehicle comfort of pure electric passenger car when air conditioning system is turned on to cool the power battery, this paper, combining actual development projects, determined the typical travel chain of electric vehicle according to the sales target area of developed vehicle, and formulated the annual calendar driving conditions of electric vehicle according to the travel chain. The vehicle bench environment simulation test was carried out according to the annual calendar driving conditions, and the statistical analysis of the battery temperature distribution in three states of the vehicle in driving, charging and storage within one year was completed according to the test results. The battery cycle life evaluation was completed, and the influence of each operating condition of the vehicle on the battery life attenuation was decomposed, and the battery cooling system control strategy was optimized. The results indicate that, the proportion of cooling system engaged in the battery cooling process decreases greatly, air conditioning comfort improves obviously.

为解决纯电动乘用车使用空调系统为动力电池冷却时整车空调舒适性下降的问题,结合实际开发项目,根据开发车辆销售目标区域确定用户典型出行链,根据出行链制定纯电动乘用车年日历行驶工况,并采用该工况进行整车台架环境模拟试验,完成车辆一年内在行驶、充电和存放3种状态下电池温度分布情况的统计分析,完成电池循环寿命评估,并分解各工况对电池寿命衰减的影响程度占比,对电池冷却系统控制策略进行优化。结果表明:电池冷却过程中冷却系统介入时长占比大幅下降,整车空调舒适性明显提高。

为解决纯电动乘用车使用空调系统为动力电池冷却时整车空调舒适性下降的问题,结合实际开发项目,根据开发车辆销售目标区域确定用户典型出行链,根据出行链制定纯电动乘用车年日历行驶工况,并采用该工况进行整车台架环境模拟试验,完成车辆一年内在行驶、充电和存放3种状态下电池温度分布情况的统计分析,完成电池循环寿命评估,并分解各工况对电池寿命衰减的影响程度占比,对电池冷却系统控制策略进行优化。结果表明:电池冷却过程中冷却系统介入时长占比大幅下降,整车空调舒适性明显提高。

In order to solve the defects of decreased vehicle comfort of pure electric passenger car when air conditioning system is turned on to cool the power battery, this paper, combining actual development projects, determined the typical travel chain of electric vehicle according to the sales target area of developed vehicle, and formulated the annual calendar driving conditions of electric vehicle according to the travel chain. The vehicle bench environment simulation test was carried out according to the annual calendar driving conditions, and the statistical analysis of the battery temperature distribution in three states of the vehicle in driving, charging and storage within one year was completed according to the test results. The battery cycle life evaluation was completed, and the influence of each operating condition of the vehicle on the battery life attenuation was decomposed, and the battery cooling system control strategy was optimized. The results indicate that, the proportion of cooling system engaged in the battery cooling process decreases greatly, air conditioning comfort improves obviously.

温度是车用锂离子动力电池循环寿命的主要影响因素[1-4]。研究表明,动力锂离子电池的适宜工作温度范围是25~40 ℃,电池单体间温差应小于5 ℃[5]。电池的温度高于其适宜的工作温度后,将加速老化,使循环寿命缩短,严重时会出现电池热失控现象。
车用动力锂离子电池的冷却方式主要包括自然冷却、风冷[6]、液冷[7]和空调制冷剂直冷,其中应用最广泛的方式是液冷[8]。夏季高温环境下电池液冷系统工作时,压缩机等大功率附件使整车的能耗增大,同时占据了空调系统的部分制冷量,影响乘员舱内的降温舒适性,因此控制电池冷却系统能耗,提升空调舒适性,效成为液冷技术的关键目标。
目前,电池冷却系统控制逻辑的研究重点依然是保证电池最高温度处于安全范围,且控制参数仅为电池最高温度这一单一指标[9-10]。此类研究仅在整车使用工况(高速、充电和循环工况等)下比较不同策略下能耗和电池温度并进行效果验证[9-11],并未讨论整车综合使用条件下电池温度与电池寿命的关系。
本文以保证电池开发寿命为目标和车辆实际使用工况为基础,通过整车台架试验获得准确的车辆生命周期内的电池温度分布,完成电池冷却策略开发。
本文的研究对象为某纯电动汽车,其电池寿命的设计目标是使用8年或行驶12×104 km,电池剩余容量不低于70%。车辆的主要销售区域是中国南方,使用环境温度不低于0 ℃。本文结合项目开发,通过车辆行驶大数据分析,确定典型城市车辆使用日历工况,用于开展整车环境舱模拟试验与电池循环寿命评估的仿真分析。
首先需确定车辆按照日历每天的出行情况和车辆典型行驶工况。目前,纯电动汽车行驶场景以城市为主,本文选择环境温度较高、电动汽车销售量较大的深圳完成日历行驶工况的制定。
为了解深圳市目标用户每日车辆使用情况,引入出行链的概念,出行链即将一些出行活动按照时间先后顺序首尾连接起来的封闭链,也称为往返行程链[14]。通过开展日活动出行行为调查,根据出行目的及出行链特点,归纳出最常见的3类往返行程,如表1所示。
出行链的时间分布情况如图1所示。由图1可以看出,车辆日行驶时长变化规律与用户使用场景直接相关。
本文以世界轻型汽车测试循环(World Light Vehicle Test Cycle,WLTC)工况作为车辆典型行驶工况开发的基础,通过对WLTC工况中低速、中速、高速和超高速行驶段进行组合形成本研究的日历行驶工况。针对工作日出行链工况中的行驶车速范围,将WLTC工况中的低速和中速行驶工况段合并后循环行驶。合并工况主要行驶参数与文献[15]所得数据的对比结果如表2所示,通过对表2中主要参数进行对比可知,合并工况与实际工况符合度较高,可以作为环境舱研究试验工况。
应用WLTC工况中的高速行驶工况段代表周末出行链,应用超高速工况段代表节假日出行链。
本文研究的某纯电动汽车WLTC工况续驶里程大于400 km,在日历工况中插入充电工况,包含交流慢充和直流快充。综合出行链信息和行驶工况制定的年日历行驶工况如表3表4所示。
表3表4可知,工作日、周末和小长假各时间段车辆使用前都有不少于5 h的存放时间,此时电池温度与环境温度基本相同,故可根据深圳市2020年气象大数据确定工作日和周末以及节假日工况的试验环境温度和初始电池温度,如图2~图4所示。试验中充电工况均在行车工况后,充电前的电池温度根据行车试验结果确定。
本文纯电动汽车的主要技术参数如表5所示。
将该车辆在环境舱内采用所开发的日历行驶工况进行试验,得到相应的电池温度数据。电池冷却系统按照典型的液冷式动力电池冷却系统控制策略执行:
a. 冷却系统启动条件为环境温度≥10 ℃且动力电池最大温度≥39 ℃;
b. 冷却系统关闭条件为动力电池最大温度<35 ℃。
工作日行驶代表工况为WLTC中的低速、中速段组合工况,单次循环里程为7.83 km,由表3可知,工作日上下班的日行驶里程为31.3 km,需要连续进行4个组合工况循环,具体试验循环工况如图5所示。
图2可知,全年工作日用车时段的气温范围为7~35 ℃,平均气温为22 ℃。选择7 ℃、12 ℃、17 ℃、22 ℃、27 ℃、32 ℃和35 ℃共7个温度点在环境舱内进行模拟试验,试验前将车辆同温处理不少于10 h,保证电池温度与环境温度相同,试验结果如图6所示。
全年工作日车辆行驶期间电池温度情况如图7表6所示。
图7可以得出,工作日行驶工况试验每个温度点的电池温度均升高3 ℃,仅上升过程略有差别,可以推测在7~35 ℃范围内,其他环境温度下电池温升过程也与上述试验相同。
根据各环境温度下的试验结果计算全年工作日行驶工况下动力电池各温度下的累计工作时长:

式中,Hm为电池在温度m下的全年累计工作时长;Xn为全年环境温度n出现的次数;hn为在环境温度为n时,一个行驶工况下电池温度为m的时长。
从试验统计结果中可以看出,台架试验模拟全年工作日累计行驶555 h,行驶里程15 650 km,试验过程中电池冷却系统未启动。
周末行驶代表工况为WLTC中的高速工况,单次循环里程为7.127 km,由表4可知,周末每日连续行驶里程为50 km,需要连续进行7个工况循环,具体试验循环工况如图8所示。
图3可知,全年周末用车时段的气温范围为8~36 ℃,平均气温为24.3 ℃,选择8 ℃、13 ℃、18 ℃、23 ℃、28 ℃、33 ℃和36 ℃共7个温度点在环境舱内进行模拟试验。按照工作日工况试验方法得出周末工况电池温度曲线如图9所示,全年周末车辆行驶期间电池温度变化情况如图10表7所示。
由试验统计结果可以看出,台架试验模拟全年周末累计行驶148.6 h,行驶里程8 400 km,试验过程中电池冷却系统启动。
节假日行驶代表工况为WLTC中的超高速工况,单次循环里程为8.254 km,由表4可知,节假日每日连续行驶里程为165 km,需要连续进行20个工况循环,具体循环工况如图11所示。
图4可知,全年节假日用车时段的气温范围为9~33 ℃,平均气温23.1 ℃,选择9 ℃、14 ℃、19 ℃、24 ℃、29 ℃和33 ℃共6个温度点在环境舱内进行模拟试验。按照工作日工况试验方法得出节假日工况电池温度曲线如图12所示,全年节假日车辆行驶期间电池温度分布情况如图13表8所示。
从试验统计结果中可以看出,台架试验模拟全年节假日累计行驶53.7 h,行驶里程4 950 km,试验过程中电池冷却系统启动。
根据工作日、周末和节假日工况试验获得车辆全年总体运行情况,全年累计行驶29 000 km,总运行时长757.4 h,行驶时间占全年总时长的8.65%。电池温度统计结果如表9所示。
表9可知,全年车辆使用条件下93.6%的时间电池工作温度低于35℃,电池最大温度达到40 ℃,电池温度超过39 ℃的时间不到1%。
车辆使用过程中快充和慢充结合使用,由表3表4可知,一年内车辆快充70次,平均每5.2天一次,慢充110次,平均每3.2天一次。平均行驶160 km充电一次,满足续驶里程大于400 km的电动车需求。充电过程中电池温升与充电功率相关性最强,充电功率越大,电池温升速率越高。目前,充电方式主要为交流慢充和直流快充,直流快充常见充电功率为60 kW,交流慢充常见的最大充电功率仅为7 kW。
电池在25~40 ℃区间运行可实现最佳的功率输出和输入,以及最长的循环寿命[7]。根据日历循环整车试验结果统计可知,在行车后进行电池充电的条件下,充电时电池初始温度大部分在15~35 ℃范围内,由于慢充的充电功率小,电池温度上升幅度小,充电期间电池温度基本在最佳范围内,对寿命几乎没有影响,故本文重点研究直流快充条件下的电池温度。
在不同温度下进行车辆快充试验,充电过程如图14所示。
图14中可以看出:在SOC达到80%前,充电电流保持较高水平,即使在电池冷却系统工作的条件下,电池依然保持较高的工作温度;在SOC超过80%后,充电电流下降,在冷却系统的作用下,电池温度迅速降低。不同环境温度和不同初始电池温度下的快充试验结果如表10所示。
由试验结果可以看出,不同环境温度和电池初始温度下,充电期间电池的平均温度在39 ℃以上。大功率快充时间一般不超过1 h。全年累计计算,充电工况下电池温度大于39 ℃的时间累计共70 h左右。
全年车辆存放时长约7 432 h,占全年总时长的84.8%。车辆存放期间的电池温度不会升高,以全年行驶工况和充电工况结束后的电池温度作为车辆放置条件下的电池温度。这样简单处理会使电池寿命评估结果苛刻,但有利于产品开发。
行车次数和充电次数全年累计698次,根据试验结果计算存放工况下电池温度时长分布情况如图15所示,统计结果如表11所示。
电动汽车行驶过程中,电池的电压、电流都随车速实时变化,电池组输出功率与车辆行驶阻功率对应,因此以车辆行驶阻功率代替电池输出功率是合理的[14],计算结果作为电池台架试验的输入条件。当前,采用等效替换法获得汽车行驶过程中电池组功率-时间曲线是简单有效的方法。根据车辆行驶动力学方程,得到纯电动汽车功率平衡公式为:

式中,UI分别为电池组工作电压、电流;μT为机械传动效率;μE为电池充放电效率;m为试验车辆质量;f为滚动阻力系数;ua为车辆行驶车速;CD为风阻系数;A为车辆迎风面积;δ为车辆旋转质量换算系数;du/dt为车辆行驶加速度。
将WLTC工况分解成多个小区间,每一区间分别对应匀加速、匀减速和匀速工况,通过式(2)计算每个区间的电池需求功率,得出模拟表3表4日历循环工况的电池系统动态测试工况。应用整车台架电池温升试验结果校正电池台架动态循环试验工况结果,根据此循环工况进行电池台架试验及寿命预估,寿命评估结果如图16所示。
图16中可以看出,在电池最大SOC降低到初始的70%时,车辆预测使用时间是11年,行驶里程达到24×104 km,远超开发目标,充分说明电池冷却策略开发已经具备优先考虑舒适性和能耗需求的条件。
根据图16可以计算得到电池寿命年衰减率为2.73%。根据电池试验数据,在25~35 ℃温度范围内,存放状态的电池寿命衰减率为1.2%,且温度越低,寿命衰减率越低。从图15中可以得出,存放工况下电池温度在11~35 ℃范围内的时间占总时间的92%,且一年中电池存放时间占总时间的84.8%,由此可以计算出,车辆电池寿命年衰减率2.73%中,受车辆存放所影响的电池寿命年衰减率为1%。由此可得,车辆在使用条件下电池年寿命衰减率为1.73%。
该电池充、放电使用期间,以环境温度25 ℃条件下的电池寿命为基础,进行电池在35 ℃和40 ℃下的电池台架寿命试验,由试验结果可知,在35 ℃和40 ℃下,电池寿命分别为25 ℃下寿命的3/4和2/3。
根据车辆行驶和充电的温度分布统计结果,可以分别计算得出:车辆行驶工况下电池温度低于35 ℃时的电池年寿命衰减率为1.53%;车辆行驶工况下电池温度不小于35 ℃时的电池年寿命衰减率为0.07%;车辆快速充电条件下,电池年寿命衰减率为0.13%。
车辆行驶条件下,根据电池冷却策略,冷却系统关闭的条件为电池温度低于35 ℃,在电池温度不低于35 ℃时,电池年寿命衰减率为0.07%。
综上所述,车辆各使用工况对电池年寿命衰减影响程度如表12所示。
根据电池寿命衰减工况分解结果可知,影响电池寿命的主要工况是车辆存放和电池温度低于35 ℃的行驶工况。在车辆行驶条件下,电池温度超过35 ℃的情况一般是在环境温度≥33 ℃或者平均车速≥80 km/h条件下出现的,这种工况在用户使用过程中相对较少出现,对电池寿命衰减影响很小。根据以上输入条件,制定电池冷却系统控制策略。
电池冷却系统启动需同时具备以下条件:电池温度≥39 ℃,环境温度≥10 ℃,乘员舱内温度≤25 ℃,电池SOC≥40%。当电池温度≤35 ℃时冷却系统关闭。
与传统控制策略相比,本文控制策略增加了对电池SOC和乘员舱内温度的要求,为驾驶舒适性和能耗让步,原因是在车辆行驶条件下,电池温度超过39 ℃的情况对电池循环寿命损害影响程度较小。
电池冷却系统启动条件是电池温度≥37 ℃,同时环境温度≥10 ℃。电池温度≤30 ℃时冷却系统关闭。
与传统控制策略相比,本文控制策略提高了电池冷却系统开启的电池温度并降低了电池冷却系统关闭的电池温度。充电条件下电池冷却优先级更高,由于充电时间较长,人员在车内的情况较少,车辆一般处于不使用状态,舒适性要求不高,较好的电池冷却充电策略能够使其对电池循环寿命的影响程度控制在4%以内。
电池冷却系统的启动条件是电池温度≥35 ℃,同时环境温度≥10 ℃。电池温度≤30 ℃时冷却系统关闭。
传统控制策略未针对此工况制定单独的控制策略,本文增加该策略的主要原因是车辆存放时间占比较大,对电池循环寿命影响程度最大,需要考虑存放期间的电池温度尽可能在最佳温度范围内。车辆存放状态时,不必考虑舒适性且电池不会发热,故电池冷却系统能够快速降低电池温度,消耗电量也很少。
在环境温度38 ℃,WLTC工况下优化策略与原策略对比试验结果如表13所示。
表13可以看出,优化策略条件下,车辆行驶过程中电池冷却系统介入时长占比大幅度下降,续驶里程明显提升,电池平均温度升高较小,且驾驶员反馈主观评价空调舒适性提升,达到预期效果。
本文从电池循环寿命入手,通过整车试验,建立车辆使用工况下电池温度分布与电池循环寿命衰减的关系,确定各使用工况对电池循环寿命的影响程度,分别考虑车辆行驶、车辆充电以及车辆存放工况,并且增加了电池SOC、乘员舱内温度控制参数,制定细化的电池冷却策略,台架对比试验结果表明,策略优化后整车能耗、空调舒适性大幅改善。
随着纯电动汽车续驶里程的大幅度提高、充电功率超过400 kW的超级快充开发、换电技术的广泛应用和充电设施的进一步完善,纯电动汽车的用户使用工况将会很大程度地发生改变,故需持续分析纯电动车的用户使用工况,不断优化电池冷却策略,提升续驶里程和空调舒适性,提高用户满意度。
