In order to realize active equalization of 48 V mild hybrid battery pack, and improve energy utilization rate, firstly the group design and consistency check of 48 V mild hybrid system battery of a vehicle were conducted, then the topological structure of the active equalization circuit was determined, and then the equalization opening threshold and equalization control strategy of active equalization circuit were designed based on the information of the battery terminal voltage collected by the BMS. The results of simulation analysis indicate that the State Of Charge (SOC) bias errors of the battery module after active equalization does not exceed 0.005.

为实现48 V轻混系统电池组的主动均衡,提高能量利用率,首先对某车型48 V轻混系统电池进行了成组设计及一致性检验,然后确定了主动均衡电路拓扑结构,基于电池管理系统(BMS)采集的电池端电压等信息,对主动均衡电路的均衡开启阈值及均衡控制策略进行了设计。仿真分析结果表明,主动均衡后电池模组的荷电状态(SOC)偏差均不超过0.005。

In order to realize active equalization of 48 V mild hybrid battery pack, and improve energy utilization rate, firstly the group design and consistency check of 48 V mild hybrid system battery of a vehicle were conducted, then the topological structure of the active equalization circuit was determined, and then the equalization opening threshold and equalization control strategy of active equalization circuit were designed based on the information of the battery terminal voltage collected by the BMS. The results of simulation analysis indicate that the State Of Charge (SOC) bias errors of the battery module after active equalization does not exceed 0.005.

48 V系统作为一种有效的节能技术,日益受到业界关注[1]。锂电池组作为48 V系统的能量来源,相比于铅酸电池和镍氢电池具有更高的能量密度和更好的充、放电性能。
电池组中电池间的差异会随着电池的使用而不断增大。为提高电池组使用寿命,国内外学者针对电池管理系统(Battery Management System,BMS)中的均衡管理开展了大量研究,主要包括均衡拓扑研究与均衡策略研究[2-3]
根据被均衡能量的转换结果,均衡拓扑电路主要分为耗散型和非耗散型。耗散型拓扑电路以分流产热的方式消耗多余的能量,使电池组中单体电池的能量均衡[4],这种拓扑结构会造成电池组能量的浪费。非耗散型拓扑电路通过临时存储能量的电子元件将电池组中高电量电池的能量转移到低电量电池[5]。Mohamed等利用电容作为能量转移介质设计了一种均衡拓扑结构,减小了均衡系统的规模[6]。Masatoshi等提出了一种采用多层降压-升压转换器的单开关单元电压均衡器,显著降低了电路的复杂性[7]。Gu等提出了一种混合开关降压式DC/DC电源变换器用于均衡系统,实现了更高效的能量传输[8]。于仲安等将基于开关电感的Buck-Boost均衡电路与可重构均衡电路相结合,提高了能量转移效率和均衡速度[9]
目前,对均衡策略的研究以保障电池电压、电池荷电状态(State Of Charge,SOC)与电池剩余最大可用容量的一致性为目标展开。郝晓伟选取电池组中最高能量电池与最低能量电池电压的差值为均衡指标,提出了基于单体电池电压的主动均衡控制策略[10]。然而,由于测量误差和电池迟滞效应特性的存在,很难根据电压实现充、放电过程中电池能量的精确控制。Zhang等分析了内阻、荷电状态等参数的一致性对电池组能量利用效率的影响敏感性,并采用对能量利用效率影响最显著的SOC变化作为评价指标[11]。Ma等将扩展卡尔曼滤波算法用于电池SOC估计,并以此作为均衡控制的指标,设计了两级双向均衡电路和模糊控制逻辑,实现电池单元间的均衡[12]
本文基于某车型48 V电池系统进行电池主动均衡设计,通过基于SOC的均衡提高电池组安全性,以更精确地反映电池的能量状态,并通过模糊控制提高单体电池间能量均衡的准确度。
本文的研究对象为某混合动力车型48 V电池系统,选取宁德时代三元锂离子电池作为电池系统的电芯,如图1所示。电池组的电压一般根据系统的需求设定,电压确定后,即可得到电芯的数量N

为满足电池组的电压需要,拟采用12串的成组方案。为了选取一致性较好的电池,首先对电池进行基础参数测试。测试平台主要由上位机、充放电测试仪与高低温箱组成,电池测试平台的连接如图2所示。上位机主要负责编写电池测试程序,控制充放电测试仪与高低温箱及记录电池测试过程中的参数信息。电池单体测试采用的充放电测试仪为新威CT-4008,其电压范围为0~5 V,电流范围为0~100 A,最高采样频率为10 Hz。在进行电池组测试时,采用的充放电测试仪为新威CE-6004n,该设备所容许的最大电压为100 V,电流范围为0~100 A,最高采样频率为10 Hz。测试平台采用的高低温箱为新威MGDW-150-40H,温控精度为1%,可以将电池所处的环境控制在-40~150 ℃范围内的任意恒温温度。
首先进行电池的容量测试。电池的实际容量会随着使用而逐渐衰减,因此电池容量标定时需要测定电池的标准可用容量。标准可用容量受充、放电条件、电池所处的环境等因素影响,设计电池容量标定测试步骤为:
a. 高低温箱温度设置为25 ℃恒温,等待温度稳定;
b. 将电池与充放电测试仪连接并置于高低温箱中静置2 h;
c. 以恒流恒压(Constant Current and Constant Voltage,CCCV)方式对电池充电,恒流充电电流为18.5 A(0.5 C),截止电压为4.2 V,恒压充电截止电流为1.85 A(0.05 C),完成充电后静置2 h,保证电池稳定;
d. 以恒流(Constant Current,CC)方式对电池进行放电,放电电流为18.5 A,直到电压到达下截止电压3.0 V停止放电,静置2 h,记录电池放出的电量;
e. 重复步骤c~步骤d,总计循环3次,并记录电池放出的电量。
按照GB/T 38661—2020《电动汽车用电池管理系统技术条件》的规定,当每次测量得到的电池容量与所测容量均值的偏差均小于2%时,才可以认为所获取的电池容量为电池的标准可用容量。本文所测得的电池标准可用容量及偏差如表1所示,选取的电池容量偏差小于0.3%,对电池组中所有单体电池进行容量测试可知,单体电池容量一致性较高,可用容量可以达到38.3 A·h。
最典型的基于电感的主动均衡方法是相邻电池的均衡,即每2个单体电池之间都存在一个均衡电容用于均衡电池能量。该方案结构简单、可操作性较强,但当被均衡单体电池位置较远时,能量转化效率受限于待均衡单体之间的距离与电感的容量,均衡效率低且时间长。基于上述特性,Bo等[13]提出了电感并行的均衡拓扑架构,通过分层布置均衡单元的方法,在减少均衡单元数量的同时极大地缩短了均衡时间,提高了均衡系统效率。该拓扑方案具有多层结构,可以通过较少的均衡次数实现相隔较远的单体电池间的能量均衡,降低了均衡过程中储能电感频繁的能量转换带来的能量损耗。电池组采用1并12串的成组方案,电感并行主动均衡拓扑结构如图3所示。
图3所示的均衡系统中,拓扑结构的层数为:

式中,m为待均衡单体电池的数量。
均衡单元1-1~均衡单元1-6组成的结构为电感并行结构的第1层,其功能是均衡相邻单体电池间的能量。均衡单元2-1~均衡单元2-3组成电感主动均衡结构的第2层,该层以2个相邻单体电池为一个小组,电池箱内分为3个小组,这一层用于均衡相邻小组间的电量,同理,均衡单元3-1与均衡单元3-2组成第3层,用于均衡8个电池单体组成的大组间的电量。
由上述主动均衡拓扑结构及分析可知,电感并行主动均衡系统由于拓扑结构的优化,各均衡单元可以独立工作,互不影响,以便同时对单体电池及不同的均衡单元电池组能量进行均衡,减少了均衡次数的同时提高了均衡系统的效率。同时,优化后的拓扑结构与传统主动均衡拓扑结构相比,拥有更少的均衡单元,可以减少均衡过程中的能量损耗。
完成主动均衡方案及拓扑结构选择后,对主动均衡系统中的均衡单元进行设计与分析,均衡单元结构如图4所示。
当均衡单元连接的两部分达到均衡系统工作条件时,打开与高能量电池连接的金属-氧化物-半导体场效晶体管(Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor,MOSFET),对电感充电;充电结束后关闭MOSFET并开启与低能量电池连接的MOSFET,使电感对电池充电,完成均衡过程。为研究均衡系统的工作原理与过程,假设电池B1的能量高于电池B2的能量,且B1、B2能量的均值大于电池B3、B4能量的均值,分别分析电池在不同运行工况下的均衡原理。
电池组处于充电状态时,为保证所有单体电池都能在不超过上截止电压时充满电,需要对电池组进行均衡管理。充电过程的电流方向如图5所示:均衡开启时,开关Q1闭合、开关Q2断开,B1对电感L1充电,此时B1的电流抵消部分外接充电电流,B1的充电速度降低;同理,B1、B2对电感L3充电时,B1、B2的充电速度也有所降低,见图5a;当电感完成充电后,Q1断开,L1通过Q1的续流二极管对B2充电,增强外接充电电流,B2的充电速度提高,同时电感L3通过开关Q3的续流二极管也提高了B3、B4的充电电流,见图5b
当电池组对外输出能量时,为保证能在BMS截止放电时充分释放电池组能量,在放电过程中也需要对电池组中的单体电池进行能量均衡。均衡系统开始工作时,Q1闭合、Q2断开,B1、Q1与L1组成放电回路,电池B1对外输出电流,对L1进行充电,此时均衡电流的存在也加速了B1的能量输出。同时,B1、B2与Q5、L3也组成放电回路,加速B1、B2的能量消耗,如图6a所示。当电感L1、L3充电结束完成储能时,Q1、Q5断开,储能电感L1、L3通过续流二极管分别对B2、B3、B4充电,减弱了电池对外放电的能力,如图6b所示。基于上述过程,BMS完成电池放电过程的能量均衡。
由于电池具有输出非线性、迟滞效应以及老化现象等特点,可以将人类操作的经验引入到主动均衡系统中,采用基于模糊控制的主动均衡策略,可以根据实时得到的电池状态信息及模糊规则对电池组进行均衡控制。同时,基于模糊控制的主动均衡策略能够根据电池组的不一致性有目标地调节均衡电流,有效避免过均衡或均衡时间较长的现象,也可以在主动均衡系统工作过程中充分发挥电池的放电能力。在设计模糊逻辑控制(Fuzzy Logic Control,FLC)策略前,需制定均衡系统开启、关闭的阈值条件,避免对非必要电池频繁地进行主动均衡,提高主动均衡的控制效率。
主动均衡控制策略控制过程如下:实时检测被均衡单元电池的工作电压与估算得到的电池SOC信息,计算待均衡单元电池的电压差值与SOC差值。当检测到均衡单元电压差大于0.05 V且SOC差值大于0.05时,启动该均衡单元,并通过模糊逻辑控制器求解均衡电流。根据均衡单元层数和目标均衡电流等信息求解控制器输出的脉冲宽度调制(Pulse Width Modulation,PWM)波频率,通过本文设计的均衡电路进行能量转换,实现2个电池或电池组之间的能量均衡。检测到被均衡电池的电压差值和SOC差值小于上述阈值时,表明与均衡单元相连的电池或电池组的能量已经近似相等,均衡系统停止均衡并继续监测单体电池的电压及SOC等信息。在本文所建立的主动均衡系统中,每个均衡单元都应执行上述控制策略,具体控制策略如图7所示。
为提高系统的均衡效率,本文选用基于模糊控制的主动均衡策略,通过模糊控制器计算均衡电流,据此调节主动均衡系统的控制频率,该控制器结构如图8所示。
模糊控制器的输入为主动均衡判定依据电压差值∆V及SOC的差值∆SSOC,控制器的输出为均衡系统的均衡电流I
在模糊化过程中,需使用模糊集对控制器的输入、输出进行描述。将论域划分为5个模糊集,模糊集中的参数分别表示极小(VS)、小(S)、中(M)、大(B)、极大(VB),模糊集表示为:∆V={0,0.25,0.5,0.75,1.0}、∆SSOC={0,0.125,0.250,0.375,0.500}、I1={0,1.25,2.50,3.75,5.00}、I2={0,2.5,5.0,7.5,10.0}、I3={0,3.75,7.50,11.25,15.00}。
根据本文选取的隶属度函数及模糊控制器输入∆V的论域范围,可以计算得到如图9所示的∆V隶属度曲线。对于输入∆SSOC,其隶属度仅在论域范围上有所区别,因此隶属度曲线的形式与∆V隶属度曲线相同。对于模糊控制器的输出,由于模糊集的设置与输入相同,因此根据输出论域修改隶属度区间可以得到控制器输出的隶属度曲线。
本文所建立的规则库如表2所示。
模糊控制器可以基于输入和模糊规则得到模糊化的均衡电流,对均衡系统进行控制还需要将模糊均衡电流输入解模糊模块进行模糊推理及反模糊化计算。模糊推理过程主要包含规则匹配、规则前提推理及运算求解输出3个部分,完成上述工作再经过反模糊计算即可得到精确的均衡电流。本文选用的反模糊化方法为重心法:

式中,Z为模糊集的重心位置;μI(Zk)为变量Zk的隶属度;N为模糊推理的输出量。
基于设计的主动均衡硬件系统,本文建立了基于模糊控制的主动均衡控制策略并完成了模糊控制器的设计。本文搭建的主动均衡仿真系统包括12块串联的三元锂离子电池、3层并行电感均衡结构以及11个均衡单元,并对该系统在充、放电2种状态下的可靠性进行验证。
为验证主动均衡效果,保证主动均衡系统正常工作,本文在仿真开始时设置相差较大的电池初始SOC值S,代表电池组当前处于非均衡状态,各单体电池SOC初值S表3所示。
电池组以0.5 C充电倍率工作于充电状态时,基于主动均衡系统的电池充电均衡仿真结果如图10所示。在电池组处于充电状态时,BMS根据电池组采集得到的单体电池电压与SOC,评估电池组能量不一致性并判定当前状态是否满足均衡开启条件,条件满足时,对电池组进行主动均衡。在充电初期,由仿真结果可知,电池组中串联的12个单体电池划分为3个均衡小组进行能量均衡。通过观察可知,每一组电池中能量较低的电池均获得了较大的充电电流。能量最低的1号电池以较长时间保持主动均衡系统允许的峰值充电电流进行充电,满足均衡系统高效运行的预期与设计要求。随着均衡时间的推移,平均能量最低的一组均衡单元率先达到均衡标准,然后该均衡小组中的单体电池作为一个整体同其他电池组进行能量交换,直到3组电池的能量都达到系统判定的均衡范围。电池组充电1 700 s左右时,电池组单体电池能量基本一致,SOC最大偏差不超过0.005。同时,由于本文所提出的主动均衡控制策略基于模糊控制设计,在均衡初期,单体电池能量差异较大时,低能量单体电池SOC变化速率较快,随着电池不一致性的减弱,均衡电流逐渐减小,可以达到在充电后期减少对外部充电电流的干扰的目的,间接提高了整个电池组的均衡效率。
电池组以1 C倍率工作于恒流放电模式时,基于主动均衡系统的电池组放电均衡仿真结果如图11所示。当BMS检测到电池组能量不一致性较大时,对电池组进行主动均衡控制。在均衡系统工作初期,电池组划分为3个均衡小组同时进行均衡,平均能量较高的均衡小组可以较大电流对外输出功率,且每一组电池中的高能量单体电池的放电能力大于该小组平均水平。本文所设计的系统可以通过这种方式减小电池组中单体电池能量的不一致性。通过观察可知,1号电池开始放电时能量最高,均衡初期放电电流最大,12号电池能量最低,在均衡初期该单体电池的充电电流几乎为0,满足均衡系统高效运行的预期与设计要求。随着均衡时间的推移,每一个均衡小组的单体电池能量不一致性逐渐较小,均衡电流也随之减小。当3个小组中电池能量差异较小时,3组电池之间进行能量均衡。电池组放电1 450 s时,电池组中所有单体电池能量处于近似相等水平,SOC最大偏差不超过0.005。同时,本文所设计的控制策略能够在电池组均衡后期减小整个系统的均衡电流,逐步增大低能量电池放电电流,既可以在均衡后期减小均衡电流对电池组功率输出的影响,又可以保证单体电池不会持续大电流放电,保障电池组使用过程中的安全性。
由上述分析结果可知,无论电池组处于充电或放电状态,基于本文所提出的主动均衡拓扑结构及控制策略都能在兼顾电池组工作要求的同时在较短时间内完成电池组中能量不一致单体电池的均衡,所设计的主动均衡系统具有可靠性。
本文对48 V电池系统进行集成设计,并根据电池组的结构设计了主动均衡拓扑结构,基于设计的主动均衡方案完成了主动均衡电路设计及参数计算。在此基础上,完成主动均衡判据的选取,并以此完成了基于模糊控制器的主动均衡策略及计算均衡电流的模糊控制器的设计。在Python环境下进行了主动均衡系统的仿真分析,结果表明,所建立的主动均衡系统能够在电池组中单体电池能量差异较大的情况下达到能量均衡目的。
本文所设计的主动均衡仍存在无法覆盖特殊能量均衡工况的局限性,后续将针对特殊工况进行精准分析与均衡设计。
