In order to analyze pedestrian leg crash injury in active and passive safety fusion scenes with intervention of Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system, this paper firstly compares and analyzes THUMS (Total Human Model for Safety) human body finite element model and advanced Pedestrian Legform Impactor (aPLI), then selects THUMS dummy model with higher biological fidelity to study the influence rule of collision speed and vehicle body posture on leg injury index with the intervention of AEB system. The results show that the motion response of THUMS dummy is closer to practical collision state compared with aPLI. With the change of collision speed and vehicle body posture, different types of vehicles show different leg-type injury rules at different collision positions, and the influence of collision speed on leg injury index is greater than that of vehicle pitch attitude. The increase of vehicle pitch angle and the decrease of collision speed will cause the decrease of upper leg collision speed, but it has no obvious effect on the collision angle. The change of collision speed and vehicle body posture will affect the collision posture of pedestrian leg and vehicle, thus influencing various leg injury indicators. Therefore, the impact of vehicle body braking on pedestrian collision should be considered in the pedestrian lower limb injury evaluation system, so as to evaluate the pedestrian lower limb injury more comprehensively and objectively.

为分析自动紧急制动(AEB)系统介入的主被动安全融合场景下行人腿部碰撞损伤情况,首先将人体有限元模型(THUMS)与先进行人腿型冲击器(aPLI)进行对比分析,选择生物逼真度更高的THUMS假人研究AEB系统介入碰撞过程时碰撞速度及车身姿态对腿部伤害指标的影响规律。结果表明:相较于aPLI,THUMS假人的运动响应更接近实际碰撞状态;随着碰撞速度及车身姿态的变化,不同车型在不同碰撞位置呈现出的腿部伤害损伤规律各异,且碰撞速度对腿部伤害指标的影响大于车辆俯仰姿态产生的影响;车身俯仰角增大及碰撞速度减小会造成上腿碰撞速度降低,但不会对碰撞角度产生明显影响;碰撞速度及车身姿态的改变会影响行人腿部与车辆的碰撞姿态,从而对腿部各类伤害指标产生影响,因此在行人下肢损伤评价体系中应考虑车身制动对行人碰撞的影响,从而更全面客观地评估行人下肢的损伤状况。

In order to analyze pedestrian leg crash injury in active and passive safety fusion scenes with intervention of Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system, this paper firstly compares and analyzes THUMS (Total Human Model for Safety) human body finite element model and advanced Pedestrian Legform Impactor (aPLI), then selects THUMS dummy model with higher biological fidelity to study the influence rule of collision speed and vehicle body posture on leg injury index with the intervention of AEB system. The results show that the motion response of THUMS dummy is closer to practical collision state compared with aPLI. With the change of collision speed and vehicle body posture, different types of vehicles show different leg-type injury rules at different collision positions, and the influence of collision speed on leg injury index is greater than that of vehicle pitch attitude. The increase of vehicle pitch angle and the decrease of collision speed will cause the decrease of upper leg collision speed, but it has no obvious effect on the collision angle. The change of collision speed and vehicle body posture will affect the collision posture of pedestrian leg and vehicle, thus influencing various leg injury indicators. Therefore, the impact of vehicle body braking on pedestrian collision should be considered in the pedestrian lower limb injury evaluation system, so as to evaluate the pedestrian lower limb injury more comprehensively and objectively.

世界卫生组织(World Health Organization,WHO)公布的《2023年全球道路安全状况报告》显示,全球每年约有119万人死于道路交通事故[1]。行人是道路交通的主要参与者,同时也是弱势参与者[2]。据统计,在行人与汽车碰撞的交通事故中,下肢是最常受伤的身体部位[3],腿部受伤占比在行人伤害中高达39%,位居第一[4],因此,行人腿部保护技术研究和工程设计尤为重要。
随着智能安全辅助驾驶技术的发展,车辆自动紧急制动(Autonomous Emergency Braking,AEB)系统得到广泛应用。欧洲新车评价规程(Euro New Car Assessment Program,E-NCAP)和中国保险汽车安全指数(China Insurance Automobile Safety Index,C-IASI)均引入了AEB测评场景,AEB系统的介入可在一定程度上避免碰撞或通过降低碰撞速度减轻行人伤害[5]。已有研究表明,AEB系统可降低25%~27%的行人碰撞风险和29%~30%的行人伤害风险[6],同时,AEB系统介入后,车辆与行人发生碰撞时的边界条件如车身姿态、碰撞速度等也将发生变化。但目前针对AEB系统介入后行人碰撞动力学响应过程及腿部损伤的研究较少,基于此,本文聚焦某轿车(Sedan)和运动型多功能车(Sports Utility Vehicle,SUV)在不同车身碰撞姿态以及碰撞车速下行人的腿部伤害,评估二者对行人腿部的影响。首先采用人体有限元模型THUMS(Total Human Model for Safety)假人及先进行人腿型冲击器(advanced Pedestrian Legform Impactor,aPLI)仿真模型进行车辆-行人碰撞仿真,分析行人下肢的运动学响应和腿部伤害指标,进而选择运动响应逼真度更高的THUMS假人,探究不同车型在AEB系统介入碰撞过程对行人腿部损伤的影响及不同位置处的生物力学损伤规律,以期为推动行人腿部保护策略的制定及未来主被动安全融合场景下更为全面的行人安全碰撞评估提供建议与参考。
目前,国内外行人保护法规以及各测评机构多采用部件测试方法,即通过头型和腿型冲击器的碰撞测试来模拟行人主要碰撞部位的损伤情况。对于行人下肢损伤,中国新车评价规程(China-New Car Assessment Program,C-NCAP)2021年版[7]引入了aPLI,并于2022年开始采用aPLI进行行人保护腿型测评[8]。aPLI设置离地高度为25 mm,大腿设置3个弯矩传感器,小腿设置4个弯矩传感器,膝关节取内侧副韧带(Medial Collateral Ligament,MCL),其与THUMS假人的传感器设置对比情况如图1所示。aPLI以40 km/h的速度水平撞击车辆前端,并输出损伤参数。
THUMS是详细的人体有限元模型,除具备主要的骨骼和韧带外,还包含详细的大脑和内部器官模型[3],因其具有较高的生物逼真度[9-10],在汽车领域广泛应用。为减小碰撞过程中两腿接触的影响,将THUMS假人调整为站立抬腿姿态,右腿垂直站立在地面上,鞋底厚度为25 mm,左腿向前抬起与右腿呈20°夹角[11],如图2所示。这种步态被认为是与车辆初次碰撞时碰撞侧(右侧)下肢最严格的负荷条件,日本、欧洲和联合国使用的行人下肢保护法规中也假设了同样的负荷条件[10-12]。另外,为了更合理地进行THUMS和aPLI的对比分析,在相对应位置设置伤害输出,见图1,同时,为深入评估THUMS假人的腿部伤害指标,在7个右腿截面输出基础上同步设置多个截面弯矩输出,以更为可靠地评估最大弯矩载荷点。车辆以40 km/h的速度撞击行人右腿,动态模拟过程如图3所示。
Y0位置(车辆纵向中心平面位置)处40 km/h车速下车身俯仰角为0°的碰撞工况(统称基础工况)为例,图4所示为THUMS假人及aPLI在轿车和SUV车型试验中的运动学响应过程。
对于轿车,车辆前端保险杠面罩最先与膝关节接触,随后大腿呈现屈曲状态,对于SUV车型,车辆前端保险杠面罩最先与大腿接触,随后开始接触膝关节和小腿部分。在碰撞初期(第10~30 ms),aPLI和THUMS假人的碰撞姿态并无明显差异,第30 ms后,aPLI小腿出现反弹,THUMS假人仍表现出持续弯折,上身由于惯性作用具有向发动机罩方向倒下的趋势,右腿接触车辆前端后,人体以骨盆为中心点发生较大倾斜旋转,随后右腿开始反弹,行人胸部和头部相继与车辆碰撞。
综上,因腿型刚性和质量分布存在差异,aPLI与THUMS假人的运动学响应特性有所不同。特别地,aPLI与THUMS假人在上躯干惯性上的区别凸显了行人上躯干介入碰撞响应过程的重要性,THUMS假人更符合实际碰撞状态下车辆与行人的运动响应过程。
表1所示为40 km/h车速下轿车和SUV车型aPLI和THUMS假人在Y0Y500Y0沿+Y方向移动500 mm,见图3)位置的股骨弯矩,以及最大弯矩出现的位置。可以发现,对于轿车和SUV车型,碰撞位置为Y0时,THUMS假人股骨弯矩最大值相对于aPLI股骨弯矩最大值的差异分别为6.94%和-19.26%,碰撞位置为Y500时,差异分别为15.18%和-31.03%。
提取基础工况下aPLI和THUMS假人在轿车和SUV车型碰撞中的最大股骨弯矩-时间曲线,如图5所示。可以发现,THUMS假人的股骨弯矩峰值时刻滞后于aPLI,这与其不同的动力学响应有关,aPLI缺乏肢体上部质量,产生的惯性力矩相对较小,导致回弹时间提前。二者的最大股骨弯矩基本出现在F1F2位置处(见表1),这主要是由于撞击位置在膝关节部位附近,越靠近膝关节部位,其撞击越明显,因此,股骨下端和中端的弯矩较大、上端弯矩较小;aPLI在碰撞位置为Y500时部分工况最大弯矩出现在F3位置,这主要是因为Y500位置处于前照灯硬点区域,上部支撑力较大且F3部位以下回弹较快。
表2所示为40 km/h车速下轿车和SUV车型aPLI和THUMS假人在碰撞位置为Y0Y500时的胫骨弯矩,以及最大弯矩出现的位置。对于轿车和SUV车型,碰撞位置为Y0位置时,THUMS假人胫骨弯矩最大值相对于aPLI胫骨弯矩最大值的差异分别为-22.94%和-21.77%,碰撞位置为Y500时,差异分别为-6.66%和17.2%。
提取基础工况下aPLI和THUMS假人在轿车和SUV车型碰撞中的最大胫骨弯矩-时间曲线,如图6所示。THUMS假人的胫骨弯矩峰值时刻也滞后于aPLI,THUMS假人胫骨弯矩峰值主要出现在车辆与行人下肢碰撞的后期回弹阶段,而aPLI胫骨弯矩峰值主要出现在前期与车辆碰撞的侵入阶段,较重的胫骨和较硬的肌肉使碰撞期间积累的弯曲能量在回弹时释放,导致反弹中损伤峰值过大[13],上述结论与股骨弯矩结论类似。通过对比表2中胫骨最大弯矩出现的位置发现,aPLI和THUMS假人的胫骨最大弯矩基本出现在T1T2位置处,这与股骨弯矩规律保持一致,越靠近膝关节的位置,胫骨弯矩越大,碰撞位置为Y500时部分最大弯矩工况出现在T3位置,这主要是因为Y500位置处于前照灯硬点区域,小腿T3处最先接触到前保险杠面罩下部前端凸出部位,且上部前照灯区域支撑较强,小腿的反弹更为迅速,因此靠近膝关节处的弯矩反而较小。
表3所示为40 km/h车速下轿车和SUV车型aPLI和THUMS假人在碰撞位置为Y0Y500时的MCL伸长量最大值。对于轿车和SUV车型,碰撞位置为Y0时,THUMS假人MCL伸长量最大值相对于aPLI的MCL伸长量最大值的差异分别为27.9%和29.46%,碰撞位置为Y500时,差异分别为55.13%和36.74%。整体上,MCL伸长量的差异较大,THUMS假人的MCL伸长量普遍较aPLI大。
提取基础工况下aPLI和THUMS假人在轿车和SUV车型碰撞中的MCL伸长量-时间曲线,如图7所示。同样地,THUMS假人的MCL伸长量峰值时刻滞后于aPLI,这与图4中的碰撞运动响应过程是一致的,由于MCL伸长量峰值出现在小腿开始回弹并离开车辆前端的时刻,而THUMS假人的腿部弯曲滞后于aPLI,后者的回弹时刻过早,导致腿型膝关节弯曲角度较小,因此造成aPLI的整体韧带伸长量较小。
本文以碰撞车速、车身俯仰姿态作为变量,综合考虑车辆不同碰撞位置作为碰撞点,共建立了36组车辆-行人碰撞仿真工况数据,如表4所示,对车辆AEB系统介入状态下的行人腿部损伤情况进行分析。
aPLI和THUMS假人的腿部损伤对比分析结果表明,在车辆-行人碰撞模拟中,THUMS假人的运动响应过程表现出更高的现实合理性。因此,本文采用THUMS假人进一步分析AEB系统介入后行人腿部伤害指标的变化情况,研究THUMS假人在不同碰撞位置、碰撞速度及车身姿态变化条件下腿部损伤参数的变化规律。
图8所示为各车速下,车身俯仰角从0°增大至2°、3°时,THUMS假人腿部损伤指标最大值的变化率。由图8可知,不同车型的行人腿部损伤情况因碰撞速度、车身姿态以及碰撞位置的不同而有所区别。
对于轿车,碰撞位置为Y0时,随车身俯仰角的增大,THUMS假人股骨弯矩最大值减小,与之相反,碰撞位置为Y500时反而有增大趋势,胫骨弯矩最大值和MCL伸长量最大值皆未呈现出明显的变化规律,该变化特征主要与车身曲面特征及车辆前保险杠面罩结构有关。碰撞位置为Y0时,股骨最大弯矩基本出现在F1F2位置处,随着俯仰角的增大,THUMS假人与前保险杠面罩在Y0平面处的碰撞点下移,力臂长度随之改变,表现出弯矩由大腿向小腿迁移的特性,因此,随着车身俯仰角加大,同一股骨横断面弯矩逐步减小,但在小腿部分,假人的胫骨最大弯矩基本出现在T1,车辆俯仰角为2°时的胫骨弯矩略大于3°时的胫骨弯矩,断面图如图9所示,可以发现,车辆俯仰角为2°时的T1位置正对前保险杠面罩摄像头硬点区域,因而表现出胫骨弯矩较大。碰撞位置为Y500时,股骨最大弯矩大多出现在F2F1位置,随着车身俯仰角加大,THUMS假人的股骨弯矩反而出现增大趋势,这与碰撞位置为Y0时呈现的规律有所差异,这是因为Y500位置处于前照灯硬点区域,碰撞过程因该结构支承作用显著而产生结果差异,另一方面说明在碰撞过程中,硬点对假人腿部伤害的影响大于车辆制动俯仰角对行人腿部的影响;在小腿部分,胫骨最大弯矩基本出现在T1位置,俯仰角增大,胫骨弯矩变化规律不明显,这是因为T1位置对应前照灯灯体硬点区域,小腿弯矩在整个T1断面上受到灯体硬点的干扰,难以呈现出相似的变化规律。
对于SUV车型,碰撞位置为Y0时,随着车身俯仰角加大,假人的股骨弯矩呈现增大趋势,胫骨弯矩和MCL伸长量无明显规律。断面图如图10所示,可以发现,随着车身俯仰角增大,车辆前保险杠面罩Y0平面处的碰撞点下移,对应腿部支撑点由俯仰角为0°时的F2处调整至俯仰角为3°时的F1以下,腿部受力形式由正碰平推形式变为滑移扭转形式,导致股骨弯矩增大;俯仰角的改变导致小腿在车辆前保险杠面罩上的对应碰撞位置发生变化,THUMS假人在碰撞过程中小腿碰撞姿势有所差异,因此假人胫骨弯矩和MCL伸长量并未呈现规律性。碰撞位置为Y500时,随着车身俯仰角加大,假人股骨弯矩和MCL伸长量增大,胫骨弯矩则减小;股骨弯矩的增大除与其支撑点下移有关外,前照灯分缝硬点所带来的影响也较为明显,由腿部碰撞过程中的弯曲形态可知,受下唇支撑影响,俯仰角增大导致T1~T3均减小,结合表2中胫骨最大弯矩出现的位置,胫骨弯矩整体呈现出减小趋势。
图11所示为不同车身俯仰角下,车辆碰撞速度为30 km/h和20 km/h时相较于40 km/h条件下腿部伤害指标的变化率。对于轿车和SUV车型,随着碰撞速度的降低,股骨弯矩、胫骨弯矩和MCL伸长量显著下降,其中股骨弯矩的减小最为显著。这主要是由于碰撞速度的降低使碰撞能量有所减小,导致腿部伤害指标有所改善,说明车辆制动速度在降低交通事故严重性方面具有关键作用。
为深入研究车辆与行人碰撞时刻的碰撞状态变化对THUMS假人腿部损伤的影响,本文对THUMS假人在不同碰撞位置、碰撞速度以及车身姿态下的上腿损伤情况进行分析。基于前文所述,在大腿部分建立了多个截面输出,以此寻找最大弯矩出现的位置,其中,上腿碰撞角度指最大弯矩时刻(设为t*时刻)与Z方向的夹角,上腿接触力指t*时刻所对应的接触力。上腿碰撞速度指THUMS假人与车辆的相对速度,对应在最大弯矩荷载点上腿刚接触时刻(设为t0时刻)沿XZ方向的合速度:

式中:vx(t)=vs(t)-vc(t)为t0时刻行人腿部相对于车辆的X向速度,vs(t)、vc(t)分别为t0时刻行人腿部和车辆的X向绝对速度,vz(t)为t0时刻行人腿部Z向绝对速度。
在同一碰撞速度下,车身俯仰角为2°、3°时上腿各伤害指标较车辆俯仰角为0°时的变化率如图12所示。可以发现,对于轿车和SUV车型,碰撞位置为Y0Y500时均呈现出上腿碰撞速度随俯仰角的增大而减小的趋势,且对轿车的影响程度远大于SUV车型。不同俯仰角下的右腿及上腿接触力曲线如图13所示,可以发现:随着俯仰角的增大,THUMS假人右腿与车辆的接触滞后于上腿,t0时刻存在明显延迟,因此能量耗散更多,导致THUMS假人相对于车辆的碰撞速度减小;整体上,随着俯仰角的增大,上腿接触力未呈现明显规律,这与俯仰角增大后上腿与前保险杠面罩接触面积及接触位置变化有关;由于俯仰角的改变导致碰撞姿态发生变化,因此碰撞角度并未呈现出明显的规律。
在同一俯仰角下,碰撞速度为30 km/h和20 km/h时上腿各伤害指标较40 km/h车速下的变化率如图14所示。上腿接触速度和接触力随碰撞速度的减小而减小,这说明碰撞速度对行人下肢伤害指标的影响不可忽略;同样地,碰撞角度也并未呈现出明显的规律。
利用行人下肢有限元模型,可以通过冯·米塞斯(Von Mises)应力分布规律来预测下肢易发生骨折的部位[13]。相关研究表明,针对行人损伤,股骨的平均屈服应力损伤阈值为114 MPa,胫骨的平均屈服应力损伤阈值为129 MPa[14-15]
图15所示为部分工况下股骨皮质最大米塞斯应力分布云图。随着碰撞速度和车身俯仰角的变化,股骨最大米塞斯应力出现位置呈现一定的随机性,但主要集中出现在股骨中下端和股骨髁。行人右腿的股骨应力峰值如图16所示,可以发现:在大部分情况下,右腿的股骨应力峰值均超过损伤耐受限度,在Y0位置更为显著;随着碰撞速度的降低,股骨应力峰值显著减小,可以有效降低股骨骨折风险。
图17所示为部分工况下胫骨皮质最大米塞斯应力分布云图。可以发现,胫骨最大米塞斯应力主要集中在胫骨中下端,车身姿态和碰撞速度的变化对胫骨最大应力出现的位置影响不大。行人右腿的胫骨应力峰值如图18所示,可以发现:在大部分情况下,右腿的胫骨应力峰值均超过损伤耐受限度,在Y0位置更为显著;随着碰撞速度的降低,胫骨应力峰值显著减小,可以有效降低胫骨骨折风险。
本文基于轿车和SUV车型对比分析了aPLI和THUMS假人的运动响应过程和腿部伤害指标,并结合车辆在AEB系统介入条件下车辆与行人腿部碰撞损伤表现,得出如下结论:
a. 在相同的初始碰撞条件下,THUMS假人与aPLI的运动响应过程在碰撞初期(第10~30 ms)无明显差异,在碰撞后期(第30 ms后)差异表现明显,受腿型刚性差异及人体上躯干碰撞运动姿态影响,THUMS假人腿部回弹滞后于aPLI,前者运动响应过程更符合实际碰撞状态。
b. 车辆在AEB系统作用下,受车身曲面造型特征及车辆前保险杠面罩结构影响,车身姿态变化对THUMS假人的腿部伤害指标(股骨、胫骨及韧带伸长量)不会呈现出明显的规律性,但车辆制动速度的变化对腿部伤害指标影响较为显著,随着碰撞速度的降低,腿部伤害指标均呈现出明显的下降趋势,且在股骨弯矩处表现最为突出。
c. 车身俯仰角的增大和碰撞速度的降低会造成行人上腿碰撞速度的减小,但对碰撞角度无明显影响。
d. 随着碰撞速度和车身俯仰角的变化,股骨皮质最大米塞斯应力主要集中出现在中下端和股骨髁,胫骨最大米塞斯应力主要出现在中下端,在大部分工况下,右腿的股骨及胫骨应力峰值均超过人体骨骼损伤阈值。碰撞速度的减小可显著降低其应力峰值,从而有效降低股骨及胫骨的骨折风险。
研究AEB系统介入碰撞过程后不同制动俯仰角、碰撞速度及位置条件下的腿部伤害指标变化规律,可为车辆行人保护测评策略的更新提供数据支撑,如应考虑AEB系统介入后碰撞速度和俯仰姿态变化下的腿型测评方式,使其更贴近于真实场景下车辆的制动状态。本文仅针对第50百分位男性人体模型以及两类车辆前端造型进行了研究,未能考虑性别和年龄的影响等造成的腿部损伤差异性,后续可针对性开展进一步研究。
