In order to explore the influence of environmental lighting on visual fatigue during safety sign identification, 12 mixed lighting environments were designed with illuminance and color temperature as environmental variables. Eye movement data were tested under different conditions by eye-tracking technology and a two-factor ANOVA was conducted.Combined with the test results of reaction speed and comfort, the changes of visual fatigue under different lighting conditions were analyzed.The experimental results show that the change of illumination has a significant effect on visual fatigue, subjects are more prone to visual fatigue in low illumination environment; The change of color temperature has little effect on visual fatigue, but in different mixed lighting environments, the change of color temperature will affect the visual comfort of the subjects, and the fatigue state will change accordingly.The suitable color temperature range for the lighting conditions in the working environment is 2 100~3 500 K, and the illuminance range is 550~900 lx. It is concluded that companies should pay attention to improving the lighting conditions during production, avoid reducing the recognition efficiency of safety signs by workers due to visual fatigue, and ensure the safety and health of workers.

为探讨环境照明对安全标志识别过程中视觉疲劳程度的影响,以照度和色温为环境变量,设计了12种混合光照环境,通过眼动追踪技术,测试不同条件下受试者的眼动数据并进行双因素方差分析,结合反应速度和舒适度的测试结果,分析在不同光照条件下的视觉疲劳变化。实验结果表明:照度的变化对视觉疲劳有显著影响,在低照度环境中受试者更易出现视觉疲劳;色温的变化对视觉疲劳的影响相对较小,但在不同混合光照环境下,色温的变化会影响受试者的视觉舒适度,疲劳状态随之发生改变。作业环境照明条件中较为适宜的色温范围为2 100~3 500 K,照度范围为550~900 lx。可见企业要重视生产过程中照明条件的改善,避免因视觉疲劳而降低作业人员对安全标志的识别效率,确保劳动者的安全与健康。

In order to explore the influence of environmental lighting on visual fatigue during safety sign identification, 12 mixed lighting environments were designed with illuminance and color temperature as environmental variables. Eye movement data were tested under different conditions by eye-tracking technology and a two-factor ANOVA was conducted.Combined with the test results of reaction speed and comfort, the changes of visual fatigue under different lighting conditions were analyzed.The experimental results show that the change of illumination has a significant effect on visual fatigue, subjects are more prone to visual fatigue in low illumination environment; The change of color temperature has little effect on visual fatigue, but in different mixed lighting environments, the change of color temperature will affect the visual comfort of the subjects, and the fatigue state will change accordingly.The suitable color temperature range for the lighting conditions in the working environment is 2 100~3 500 K, and the illuminance range is 550~900 lx. It is concluded that companies should pay attention to improving the lighting conditions during production, avoid reducing the recognition efficiency of safety signs by workers due to visual fatigue, and ensure the safety and health of workers.

安全标志作为风险预警与安全信息传递的关键载体,在公共安全保障和事故预防中发挥着至关重要的作用[1]。安全标志的设置需满足语义明确、简洁通用、持久耐候及视觉显著等要求。其中,视觉显著性受多种环境因素的制约,包括光照因素、周边干扰物及环境空气质量等,而光照因素的影响尤为显著,如照度水平、色温特性、光的均匀度、光的方向等均会对安全标志的识别效果产生影响。2017年陕西京昆高速公路发生的一起特大交通事故表明,环境照明不足和安全标志不清等因素可干扰驾驶员对路况的判断,最终导致事故的发生[2]。由此可见,光照因素是保障安全标志信息准确传递的关键因素。
近年来,国内学者对影响安全标志识别的光照因素开展了广泛研究。高远等[3]通过模拟多种光照环境,分析了矿工对安全标志的视觉注意效果,发现光照环境对安全标志的识别有显著影响。杨亚格等[4]研究了不同光照强度下煤矿安全标志属性特征对视觉注意的影响,结果表明安全标志的形状和颜色在不同光照强度下对视觉注意效果存在显著差异。刘政[5]研究了港口码头安全标志在不同光照环境下的警示效度及其相关机制,发现照度对视觉舒适度有显著影响,而色温的影响相对较小。诸多研究表明,不良的照明条件会增加作业人员在观察或操作过程中的用眼负担,导致眼睛疲劳和注意力不集中,从而增加事故发生的风险[6-8]。目前中外学者普遍采用眼动指标对视觉疲劳进行表征[9-11],相关研究主要集中在交通领域,如车辆驾驶和飞行管制等[12-13]。然而现有研究大多仅关注单一环境因素,未能充分探究照度与色温等混合照明条件对安全标志识别过程中视觉疲劳的综合影响。
因此,现设计安全标志识别的视觉疲劳影响实验,通过测试不同照度和色温条件下受试者的视觉反应和眼动行为,分析混合光照对安全标志识别的视觉疲劳影响,为优化作业场所照明条件提供依据。
为了确保实验数据的准确性和样本的一致性,并考虑到受试者的个体差异可能引入非实验相关的变量,本文研究选取了20名受试者参与实验,其中男性和女性各占50%。受试者的年龄均在20~23岁,且裸眼视力或矫正视力均达到1.0及以上。所有受试者均确认身体健康,无精神病史,无色盲或色弱等视觉障碍,无其他眼部疾病。受试者均为安全工程专业的学生,具备一定的安全知识,能够在正常条件下准确识别安全标志。为减少外部因素对实验结果的影响,受试者在实验前一日要求保证充足的休息,不得熬夜、饮酒以及服用任何可能影响实验表现的药物。
(1)眼动追踪设备:本次实验采用的眼动设备为The EYE-TRAC7头戴式眼球跟踪器,能够捕捉受试者的视线方向、瞳孔变化,以及相关的眼动指标,精确记录受试者在观察特定环境时的眼动数据。
(2)数据分析工具:实验所得数据通过ASL RESULTS Plus软件进行处理和分析,可高效地处理和解析眼动追踪数据,深入理解受试者的视觉行为模式。
(3)光照测量设备:采用德国高森3F色温测光表,能够准确测量混合光照环境下的照度和色温。
(4)照明系统:实验中通过LED灯实现了红、绿、蓝三基色的混合照明,并能够调节明暗度,确保实验中光照条件的标准化。
实验设备及照明系统如图1图2所示。
实验预选的展示材料有两种:一是电脑上的模拟界面;二是符合国家标准的安全标志牌实物。
(1)模拟界面:通过电脑模拟界面依次展示安全标志图片,模拟实际作业环境中的安全标志识别过程,评估受试者对安全标志的认知和反应。
(2)安全标志牌:为了更真实地模拟作业现场环境,采用符合国家标准尺寸的全新安全标志牌实物。
为控制变量,防止无关因素干扰,排除由于标志牌差异性可能导致的实验误差,实验中受试者所观察的安全标志颜色、图案均一致。同时为了避免熟悉度影响被试者的理解反应速度,选用几类含义不同的安全标志。
(1)照度水平设置:实验设定存在显著差异的4个照度值,依次为20、240、550、900 lx,涵盖低照度和高照度,模拟从昏暗环境到明亮环境的变化。
(2)色温范围设置:结合常见光源色温,实验中选取了3个不同的色温值,分别为红光(2 100 K)、绿光(3 500 K)和蓝光(8 400 K),模拟从低色温(偏红)到高色温(偏蓝)的变化。
(3)实验组合设计:通过将4个照度值与3个色温值正交组合,共设计了12种不同的光照条件,通过扩大光照条件范围,系统地研究混合照明条件对安全标志识别的视觉疲劳程度的影响。
(1)理解反应速度。反应速度即受试者的理解判断时间。每位受试者在不同照度和色温环境下捕捉到安全标志的瞬间需准确描述其含义,通过测定受试者的理解反应时间,来分析光照环境对识别能力的影响。
(2)眨眼频率。眨眼是眼部保持湿润、缓解用眼疲劳的一种生理性反应。眨眼频率在一定程度上可以反映眼睛是否处于疲劳状态。通过控制实验时间,利用眼动仪测出眨眼频率,实验时间内眨眼频率越高,则反映视觉疲劳程度越深[13]
(3)瞳孔直径。在外界光环境不变的前提下,瞳孔直径可以直接反映出眼睛的疲劳状态。利用眼动仪获取瞳孔直径数据,根据一段时间内瞳孔变化的趋势来判断实验过程中的眼睛疲劳程度[13]
(4)舒适度。舒适度从主观层面反映出受试者观察过程中眼睛的感受,由于个体差异问题,每位受试者在不同光照环境下的感受可能不同,但可作为判断疲劳程度的辅助依据。在做完一组照度和色温的眼动实验后,要求受试者填写舒适度评分表,其中“1”代表舒适,“2”代表一般舒适,“3”代表不舒适,“4”代表非常不舒适。
在实验开始之前,需对实验环境进行全面核查,确保其满足既定实验条件,排除无关变量干扰,同时确认实验助手已就位并做好充分准备。搜集受试者与实验相关的个人信息,向受试者详细介绍实验流程,明确实验目的、实验内容以及注意事项,直至受试者能够准确理解。
为受试者佩戴头戴式眼球跟踪器,根据不同受试个体的眼部特征调节单目镜反光板,寻找合适角度,避免因睫毛遮挡而影响仪器的识别,使完整的眼睛图像呈现在操作界面上。同时确保在屏幕上可以观测到清晰的十字光标,以便捕捉瞳孔及角膜反射,准确反映受试者在观察过程中眼睛的运动情况。进行目标点校准,并叠加在要观察的场景上,考虑到个体差异,每更换一次受试者,需重新完成9点校准。调试校准结束后,引导受试者在距离安全标志1 m处指定观测位置就座,准备开始实验。
操控灯光调节装置,改变实验环境的照度和色温。根据实验组别设置,每位受试者需一次性进行12组实验,每组实验配套完成3项实验任务,包括反应速度测试、定点观察标志、舒适度评分表填写。在实验过程中,每完成一组测试后更换安全标志,每组观测时长设定为20 s。在观察期间要求受试者保持头部固定,可正常眨眼,以确保采集数据的稳定性和有效性。
实验任务具体步骤如下:受试者每次观察前,安全标志处于遮挡状态,移去遮挡物,要求受试者在观察到安全标志的瞬间准确描述其含义,使用计时器确定受试者从首次观测到理解反应过程中的时间间隔。计时结束后提示受试者自主对安全标志进行观察,同步开启眼动仪,实时追踪记录受试者在观察过程中的眼动数据,20 s后结束本组实验。根据实验中的主观感受,安排受试者填写舒适度评分表。
每组观察结束后,受试者需休息5 min以缓解眼部疲劳,减少后续实验可能产生的误差,为下一组观察做准备。后续组别的实验按照相同步骤进行,直至完成全部实验内容。
实验结束后,对收集到的各类数据进行整理和归纳,并运用SPSS软件进行统计分析。
为简化变量分类,对光照参数进行了标记处理,以文字或编号形式标记不同的实验条件,如表1所示。
以混合光照环境下受试者的反应速度作为观测变量,将照度和色温设为因变量,同时保持标志颜色以及其他无关因素不变,运用双因素方差分析与最小显著性差异法进行分析,得出结果如表2所示。
统计20位受试者在不同照度和色温下的反应时间,得到不同光照环境下的平均反应速度如图3所示。
表2可知,照度和色温的交互作用项没有呈现出显著性关系(F=0.935,P=0.471>0.05),说明照度和色温对反应速度不存在二阶效应。照度与反应速度呈现出显著性关系(F=46.789,P<0.01),说明主效应存在,照度的变化会对反应速度产生影响。色温与反应速度呈现出显著性关系(F=4.659,P=0.010<0.05),说明主效应存在,色温的变化会对反应速度产生影响。用最小显著性差异法对不同照度下的反应速度进行事后检验分析,得出各组别反应速度平均值对比结果为E1>E2、E1>E3、E1>E4、E2>E3、E2>E4、E3>E4。
图3可以得出,随着照度的增加,受试者的平均反应速度呈现平稳下降的趋势。当从昏暗环境过渡到明亮环境时平均反应速度下降最明显,处于明亮环境后继续增加照度时,反应速度下降趋势明显变缓。不同色温下的平均反应速度差异不明显,对比观察3条折线可以发现,受试者在偏低色温环境时的平均反应速度较快。
结合图3表2可知,照度对受试者反应速度的影响更加显著,高照度值时的反应速度快于低照度值,说明在光照充足的情况下,受试者处理信息的能力更好,大脑疲劳度低,能更快对安全标志上的信息作出反应。色温对受试者的反应速度有一定影响,差异值在0.5 s上下浮动,说明色温会部分影响受试者的反应速度。
眨眼频率与时长是评估视觉疲劳的关键指标[14]。为探究混合光照环境对安全标志识别过程中视觉疲劳的影响,从眨眼频率、眨眼时长、瞳孔直径3个方面进行定量分析。
通过眼动仪收集受试者的眨眼参数,分析不同混合光照环境下20位受试者的平均眨眼频率,排除异常数据,用SPSS软件对平均眨眼频率进行双因素方差分析和事后检验,分析结果如表3所示。
分析观察过程中眨眼频率的变化规律,得到不同混合光照环境下的眨眼频率如图4所示。不同混合光照环境下的平均眨眼时长如图5所示。
表3可知,眨眼频率的交互作用项没有呈现出显著性关系(F=1.677,P=0.137>0.05),说明照度和色温对眨眼频率不存在二阶效应。照度与眨眼频率呈现出显著性关系(F=78.016,P<0.01),说明主效应存在,照度的变化会对眨眼频率产生影响。色温与眨眼频率呈现出显著性关系(F=4.980,P=0.009<0.01),说明主效应存在,色温的变化会对眨眼频率产生影响。用最小显著性差异法对不同照度下的眨眼频率进行事后检验分析,得出各组别眨眼频率的对比结果为E1>E2、E1>E3、E1>E4、E2>E3、E2>E4、E3>E4。
图4可以得出,随着照度增加,受试者的眨眼频率呈现显著下降趋势,高照度时眨眼频率更低。照度增大到一定值时,继续增加照度值并不会引起眨眼频率的明显改变。不同色温下的眨眼频率无显著差异,3类色温范围时的眨眼频率几乎趋于一致。由图5可以得出,随着照度增加,受试者的眨眼总时长出现明显下降趋势。不同色温下的眨眼时长存在一定差异,在偏冷光色温环境中眨眼时长更短。
结合图4图5表3分析结果可知,照度对受试者眨眼频率及眨眼时长的作用效果显著高于色温。高照度条件下受试者的眨眼频率和持续时间表现出更加显著的变化。低照度条件下受试者眨眼频率显著增加,且单次眨眼过程中眼睛闭合时长延长。这表明在昏暗环境中,受试者眼睛更易疲劳,需频繁眨眼以缓解不适,而这也导致其理解与反应安全标志信息的难度上升。相比之下,色温对受试者眨眼频率的影响较小,在相同照度下,不同色温对应的眨眼频率曲线近乎重合,这意味着色温并非影响眨眼频率的关键因素。不过色温对眨眼时长存在一定影响,但该影响程度有限,尚不足以对受试者在观察过程中的视觉舒适度产生显著改变。
瞳孔的变化能有效反映疲劳程度,但瞳孔直径的变化受多种因素影响,包括环境光照强度和心理压力等[15]。当外界光线较弱时,瞳孔会放大以增加进光量,当外界光线较强时,瞳孔会缩小以减小进光量,而单纯由于光环境改变引起的瞳孔直径变化并不能直接反映受试者的疲劳程度[16]。为了消除实验过程中因外界光照环境改变而对瞳孔直径变化产生的干扰,本研究采用眼动仪记录20位受试者在实验过程中的瞳孔直径数据,并对其进行归一化处理。采用SPSS软件进行双因素方差分析和事后检验,以确定光照条件对瞳孔直径的影响性质(正向或负向),分析结果如表4所示。
统计观察过程中受试者的平均瞳孔直径,得到不同光照环境下平均瞳孔直径变化如图6所示。
在受试者观察过程中,眼动仪每秒会捕捉数个瞳孔直径变化的数据,以时间为标点,计算得到每秒内受试者瞳孔直径的平均值。鉴于外界环境改变会影响瞳孔直径大小,将实验数据分为低照度组和高照度组,控制组内照度不变,观察期间同时控制色温不变。分析对比组间瞳孔直径变化,分别得到低照度和高照度下瞳孔直径变化散点图,如图7图8所示。
表4可知,照度和色温的交互作用项呈现出显著性关系(F=2 341.82,P<0.01),说明照度和色温对瞳孔直径存在交互作用,进一步分析简单效应,在高照度下色温对瞳孔直径的影响无统计学差异,在低照度下色温对瞳孔直径的影响呈现出统计学差异,色温较小时瞳孔直径偏大。照度与瞳孔直径呈现出显著性关系(F=22415.4,P<0.01),说明主效应存在,照度变化会对瞳孔直径产生影响。色温与瞳孔直径呈现出显著性关系(F=1701.95,P<0.01),说明主效应存在,色温变化会对瞳孔直径产生影响。
用最小显著性差异法对不同照度下瞳孔直径变化进行事后检验分析,得出各组别间瞳孔直径对比结果为E1>E2、E1>E3、E1>E4、E2>E3、E2>E4、E3>E4。结合图6可知,光照会负向影响瞳孔直径变化。当照度增大,瞳孔直径总体呈现减小趋势,从昏暗到明亮环境转变的界限处,瞳孔直径骤然减小,随着照度的进一步增加,其变化趋势逐渐趋于稳定。色温只在低照度时对瞳孔直径有影响,照度增大后色温的影响逐渐减弱。
图7图8可知,随着实验时间的增加,低照度组各色温下的瞳孔直径均在8~10 s后呈现下降趋势;高照度组各色温下的瞳孔直径有所波动,但始终处在平稳状态。结合方差分析表可以得出,昏暗环境下瞳孔直径较大,在照度未发生改变的前提下,长时间观察安全标志后瞳孔直径会缩小,说明受试者眼睛逐渐产生疲劳感;明亮环境下瞳孔直径较小,在照度未发生改变的前提下,瞳孔直径在2~3 mm波动,说明受试者没有产生明显的疲劳感。不同色温下的瞳孔直径在低照度时有一定差异,蓝光、红光色温值下的瞳孔直径变化更快;不同色温下的瞳孔直径在高照度时没有明显差异。
实验中对于不同混合光照条件,在观察结束后均让受试者填写舒适度评分表,从主观感知角度分析受试者在不同光照条件下舒适度变化,以此衡量眼睛疲劳程度是否会受到影响。统计得到不同光照环境下的舒适度得分,计算得分均值,分析舒适度的变化情况,分析结果如表5所示。
受试者在观察过程中舒适度的变化如图9图10所示。
通过对堆积条形图与得分均值表的综合分析可知,在低照度环境下,较多受试者反馈观察不适,而随着照度逐步提升,受试者对观察环境的舒适感明显增强。就色温而言,红光条件下的舒适度相较于蓝光和绿光略高,但整体上三种色温所带来的舒适度差异并不显著。综合分析结果表明,舒适度最佳的光照条件组合为550 lx蓝光、900 lx红光、900 lx绿光、900 lx蓝光。此外,当照度达到一定水平后,色温对舒适度的影响可以忽略,表明在较高照度下,色温不再是影响舒适度的主要因素。
采用眼动实验方法,系统探讨了混合光照环境对安全标志识别过程中视觉疲劳的影响。实验表明,照度是影响视觉疲劳的主要因素,低照度环境下受试者的视觉疲劳显著高于高照度环境,表现为辨识效率降低、眼部不适感增强及频繁眨眼行为。相反,高照度条件有助于高效信息处理,减轻眼部疲劳,提升安全标志识别的速度和准确性。
色温对视觉疲劳的影响相对较小,但在低照度条件下,较高色温值会加剧眼部不适,而较低色温值则有助于缓解疲劳。随着照度升高,色温对疲劳的影响逐渐减弱,高照度下其影响可忽略不计。这表明照度是主导因素,色温的影响相对次要且随照度变化而变化,色温调节需以充足的照度为前提,可作为对视觉舒适度的辅助性优化措施。
不良光照环境会显著增加作业人员对安全标志识别的视觉疲劳,降低信息判断的准确性,威胁作业安全。因此,企业应及时改善光照条件,确保作业环境的照度在550~900 lx、色温在2 100~3 500 K范围内,优先确保照度达标,继而通过色温微调实现舒适度优化,提高安全标志识别的准确性,降低因视觉疲劳导致的作业风险。
