In order to determine the reasonable spacing of underground interchanges, a series of traffic simulation experiments with varying spacing cases was conducted in VISSIM using the Wenhui Street underground interchange of the Two Lakes Tunnel in Wuhan City as a practical case. The effects of interchange spacing, mainline and ramp traffic volumes and design speeds on crash risk at the diverging and merging areas of the underground interchanges were analyzed. Then, the crash risk variation at the diverging and merging areas of the underground interchanges was predicted using the four typical machine learning algorithms, i.e., extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), support vector machine (SVM), random forest (RF), and multilayer-perceptron (MLP). Results show that when the spacing increases from 1.5 km to 2.5 km, travel time, average delay, average queue length, and traffic conflict rate decrease significantly, and the collision risk index of time-to-collision(TTC) increase significantly. When the spacing is above 2.5 km, the decreases in travel time, average delay, average queue length, and traffic conflict rate start to slow down, and so does the increase in TTC. When the spacing is 2.5 km and above, the overall traffic operation efficiency and safety of the underground interchange increase significantly. The XGBoost model can predict the crash risk variation reaching a precision of 88.3%. This study can be a theoretical support and practical case for the setting of underground interchange spacing.

为了确定城市地下道路的互通立交合理间距设置,以武汉市两湖隧道文荟街地下互通立交为实际案例,开展了不同间距情况下的VISSIM微观交通仿真实验,分析了不同间距、主线及匝道交通量和设计速度条件,对地下互通立交分合流区事故风险的影响,并进一步利用极端梯度提升模型(extreme gradient boosting,XGBoost)、支持向量机(support vector machine,SVM)、随机森林(random forest,RF)、多层感知机(multilayer-perceptron,MLP),开展了地下互通立交分合流区事故风险变化预测。研究结果显示:当间距由1.5 km增加至2.5 km时,行程时间、平均延误、平均排队长度、交通冲突率有显著降低,碰撞风险指标[碰撞时间(time-to-collision,TTC)]有显著的增大;当间距在2.5 km以上时,行程时间、平均延误、平均排队长度、交通冲突率降低趋势缓慢,TTC增大趋势较小;间距在2.5 km及以上时,地下互通立交整体交通运行效率显著提高,在不影响服务沿线重点片区功能定位的前提下;通过过采样技术均衡化数据样本后,XGBoost模型对于事故风险变化预测精确率达到88.3%。研究结论可为地下互通立交间距设置提供理论支撑和应用借鉴。

为了确定城市地下道路的互通立交合理间距设置,以武汉市两湖隧道文荟街地下互通立交为实际案例,开展了不同间距情况下的VISSIM微观交通仿真实验,分析了不同间距、主线及匝道交通量和设计速度条件,对地下互通立交分合流区事故风险的影响,并进一步利用极端梯度提升模型(extreme gradient boosting,XGBoost)、支持向量机(support vector machine,SVM)、随机森林(random forest,RF)、多层感知机(multilayer-perceptron,MLP),开展了地下互通立交分合流区事故风险变化预测。研究结果显示:当间距由1.5 km增加至2.5 km时,行程时间、平均延误、平均排队长度、交通冲突率有显著降低,碰撞风险指标[碰撞时间(time-to-collision,TTC)]有显著的增大;当间距在2.5 km以上时,行程时间、平均延误、平均排队长度、交通冲突率降低趋势缓慢,TTC增大趋势较小;间距在2.5 km及以上时,地下互通立交整体交通运行效率显著提高,在不影响服务沿线重点片区功能定位的前提下;通过过采样技术均衡化数据样本后,XGBoost模型对于事故风险变化预测精确率达到88.3%。研究结论可为地下互通立交间距设置提供理论支撑和应用借鉴。

In order to determine the reasonable spacing of underground interchanges, a series of traffic simulation experiments with varying spacing cases was conducted in VISSIM using the Wenhui Street underground interchange of the Two Lakes Tunnel in Wuhan City as a practical case. The effects of interchange spacing, mainline and ramp traffic volumes and design speeds on crash risk at the diverging and merging areas of the underground interchanges were analyzed. Then, the crash risk variation at the diverging and merging areas of the underground interchanges was predicted using the four typical machine learning algorithms, i.e., extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), support vector machine (SVM), random forest (RF), and multilayer-perceptron (MLP). Results show that when the spacing increases from 1.5 km to 2.5 km, travel time, average delay, average queue length, and traffic conflict rate decrease significantly, and the collision risk index of time-to-collision(TTC) increase significantly. When the spacing is above 2.5 km, the decreases in travel time, average delay, average queue length, and traffic conflict rate start to slow down, and so does the increase in TTC. When the spacing is 2.5 km and above, the overall traffic operation efficiency and safety of the underground interchange increase significantly. The XGBoost model can predict the crash risk variation reaching a precision of 88.3%. This study can be a theoretical support and practical case for the setting of underground interchange spacing.

近年来,随着城市地下道路的不断发展,城市地下道路的布置也由简单的单点进出布局发展为复杂的多点进出布局[1],在多点进出的情形下,需要考虑地下互通立交间距对地下道路运行效率的影响[2]。地下互通立交间距过小,与其服务中长距离到发交通的功能不符,同时将吸引大量的短距离交通,影响主线的运行状况及交通可靠性[3];而地下互通立交间距过大,则不能满足其服务沿线重点区域的功能,同时会引起出入口附近交通的高度集聚,对周边路网运行造成较大压力[4],所以地下互通立交合理间距对维持地下道路高效的运行状态至关重要。
对于城市互通立交间距,陈剑[5]基于交通流理论,分析了最不利驾驶行为条件下的城际道路相邻互通式立交路段车辆换道行为,建立了城际道路独立的相邻互通式立交最小间距模型,确定了城际道路互通式立交最小间距范围在1.777~2.077 km。肖忠斌等[6]分析了互通立交间距影响因素,提出了城市互通立交最小间距计算模型,确定城市快速路互通立交最小间距推荐值为1.0~2.0 km。
此外,易刚等[7]、侯珊珊等[8]、徐同等[9]通过采集驾驶自然驾驶实验数据研究了交通流量、行车速度、驾驶风格、驾驶人生理心理特性等多因素对城市小间距互通立交出入口区段行车风险和稳定的影响。对于地下道路出入口间距,《城市快速路设计规程(CJJ 129—2009)》[10]中规定匝道出入口最小间距在0.16~1.27 km。在《城市地下道路工程设计规程(CJJ 221—2015)》[11]中规定地下道路出入口最小间距在0.11~1.02 km。
综上所述,大多学者主要关注城市地面互通立交最小间距,对于地下互通立交间距的研究几乎仍是空白。目前对于地下互通立交间距的设置多是参考地面互通立交间距,但是地下道路具有不同于地面道路系统行车环境及交通流特征,导致地下互通立交的间距布置与地面互通立交存在一些差异。此外,已有关于互通立交间距设置的研究重在考查交通运行效率的保障,而忽视了不同间距设置方式对互通分合流区交通安全的影响以及由此引发的对整体交通运行稳定性的影响。鉴于此,为探究地下互通立交合理间距,现以武汉两湖隧道工程地下互通立交为实际案例,通过实地调查与微观交通仿真相结合的方式,研究间距设置、交通流量、设计速度等要素耦合作用对互通立交分合流区交通安全的影响,并得出地下互通立交合理间距设置参数。
以武汉市两湖隧道文荟街地下互通立交为实际案例,运用VISSIM软件进行不同地下互通立交间距条件微观交通仿真。由于两湖隧道仍处于施工阶段,故借助厦门万石山地下立交工程案例及其交通调查数据作为驾驶行为参数标定的依据,如表1所示。
在对文荟街地下互通立交进行仿真之前,需对VISSIM仿真软件中的驾驶行为参数进行仿真修正,选取厦门万石山地下立交C匝道分流区作为参数修正模型构建对象[12],为参数修正提供帮助。
针对城市道路仿真,采用“Wiedemann74”模型作为VISSIM驾驶行为基础模型,用以校核跟驰和换道行为。利用敏感性分析逐一对参数进行仿真之后得出平均停车间距、安全距离的附加部分、安全距离倍数部分[13]和最大减速度这4个驾驶行为参数对车均出行时间和交通冲突数的影响最大,因此将上述4个参数作为VISSIM驾驶行为参数标定的对象,其他参数按照合理的经验值做细微调整。其中,平均停车间距取值为2 m,安全距离的附加系数为1.2,安全距离的倍数系数为3,最大减速度为-6 m/s2
依据两湖隧道南湖段的施工方案设定文荟街地下互通立交的几何参数(表1)和交通流参数。
(1)交通流参数。车型组成全部为小型车,交通流量依据两湖隧道建成年和中远期高峰小时预测流量设定,具体参数如表2所示。
(2)仿真路网建模。以武汉两湖隧道工程文荟街地下互通立交的设计方案为基础,构建VISSIM微观仿真路网,相关道路和交通条件设置情况如图1所示。
相关标准规范指出城市互通立交最小间距在1.8~3 km;已有工程案例经验显示,国内地下道路出入口间距范围在1.22~5 km,其中较长距离地下通道出入口平均间距为2.7 km左右。因此,根据相关标准规范、工程案例经验以武汉两湖隧道建设方案设计了如表3所示的仿真实验方案。其中,武汉两湖隧道的建设方案种,地下互通立交的平均间距设置为2.5 m。将以2.5 m的间距作为基准条件,来分析其他不用间距条件下的安全风险变化情况。
利用碰撞率(crash rate, CR)指标来表征不同条件下的运行风险,其计算公式为

式(1)中:CR为交通冲突率,个/(pcu·m),pcu为标准车当量数(passenger car unit);C为单位时间内发生的交通冲突数,个/h;Q为交通量,pcu/h;L为分流区及合流区的道路长度,m。其中,冲突数基于碰撞时间(time-to-collision,TTC)指标及其阈值得到[14-15]。TTC的计算公式为

式(2)中:$\mathrm{T}\mathrm{T}{\mathrm{C}}_{i}\left(t\right)$为第i辆车追尾前车(即i-1车)的碰撞时间,s;Xi-1(t)t时刻i-1车在道路上的位置坐标,m;Xi(t)t时刻i车在道路上的位置坐标,m;Vi-1(t)t时刻i-1车的地点速度,m/s;Vi(t)t时刻i车的地点速度,m/s;li-1为前车的车长,m。TTC阈值取4 s,即当计算得到冲突车辆间的TTC小于或等于4 s时,便认为冲突车辆间存在交通冲突,反之则不存在冲突。统计轨迹数据中所有TTC小于或等于4 s的个数即为交通冲突数。
基于式(1),提出碰撞率变化(crash rate variation,CRV)指标,来比较相对于某基准场景,设置其他地下互通立交间距时的事故风险变化情况,其具体计算公式为

式(3)中:CR0为某基准场景的碰撞率;CRi为某其他间距条件下的碰撞率。
此外,综合考虑不同互通立交间距、交通量和设计速度条件下的分合流区的行程时间、延误、排队长度等因素,来综合分析地下互通立交场景“人车路环”多要素耦合作用对其交通运行安全的影响。
依据2.2节和2.3节的仿真控制变量,每个方案下仿真运行5次,最终一共获取9×3×3×2×2×5(间距×主线交通量×匝道交通量×主线设计速度×匝道设计速度×5)次仿真,即1 620个数据样本。该原始样本数据的描述性统计结果如表4所示。
此处交通运行状态主要从匝道的行程时间、延误和分合流区的排队长度几个方面来表征。从匝道的行程时间来看,如图2(a)所示,不同地下互通立交间距条件下各个匝道的平均行程时间存在一定的差异,且地下互通立交间距设为2.5 km及以上时,各个匝道的行程时间之和有较为显著的降低。当间距由1.5 km增加至2 km,行程时间之和由75.34 s降低至74.47 s,降低了1.1%;当间距增加至2.5 km时,行程时间之和为73.06 s,降低了1.8%;当间距在2.5 km以上时,行程时间之和降低趋势较为缓慢。从匝道的行程延误来看,如图2(b)所示,不同互通立交间距(出入口)条件下各个匝道的平均延误存在一定的差异,且互通立交间距设为2.5 km及以上时,各个匝道的延误之和有较为显著的降低。当间距由1.5 km增加至2 km,平均延误由8.84 s降低至8.59 s,降低了2.8%;当间距增加至2.5 km时,平均延误为8.34 s,降低了2.9%;当间距在2.5 km以上时,行程时间之和降低趋势较为缓慢。从分合流区排队长度来看如图2(c)所示,不同互通立交间距(出入口)条件下各个分合流区的平均排队长度存在一定的差异,且互通立交间距设为2.5 km及以上时,各个分合流区的平均排队长度之和有较为显著的降低。当间距由1.5 km增加至2 km,平均排队长度由174.54 m降低至171.48 m,降低了1.8%;当间距增加至2.5 km时,平均排队长度为167 m,降低了2.6%;当间距在2.5 km以上时,行程时间之和降低趋势较为缓慢。
根据仿真结果可以看出(如图3所示),不同互通立交间距(出入口)条件下各分合流区交通冲突情况表现出一定的差异,且互通立交间距设为2.5 km及以上时,各分合流区交通冲突率之和有较为显著的降低,碰撞风险指标(TTC)有显著的增大。对于各分合流区交通冲突率之和,当间距由1.5 km增加至2 km,交通冲突率由0.275%降低至0.261%,降低了5.1%;当间距增加至2.5 km时,交通冲突率为0.235%,降低了9.9%;当间距在2.5 km以上时,交通冲突率降低趋势较为缓慢。
综合1.5节的仿真结果可以看出,当地下互通立交间距由1.5 km增加到2.5 km时,匝道的行程时间、延误以及冲突风险有显著降低的趋势,而当间距继续增大时,上述交通运行状态指标的优化程度放缓。同时,结合相关国内外地下互通立交的工程实际,选取2.5 m互通立交间距设置方案为基准场景来计算碰撞率变化(CRV)指标。由此可得到碰撞率相对基准场景增大的样本共有1 039个,标记为“increase”;碰撞率相对减小的样本有581个,标记为“decrease”。
针对上述典型二分类问题,利用4类常用的机器学习模型来开展地下互通立交事故风险变化(crash rate variation)预测,即极端梯度提升模型(extreme gradient boosting,XGBoost)、支持向量机(support vector machine,SVM)、随机森林(random forest,RF)、多层感知机(multilayer-perceptron,MLP)。这4种模型对应于集成学习、单分类器和深度学习三大类;其中,XGBoost属于多分类器串行(boosting)集成模型、RF属于多分类器并行(bagging)集成模型,SVM为单分类器模型,MLP为深度学习(神经网络)模型。为了一致评估不同机器学习模型的事故风险预测效果,选用以下常用的分类模型效果评估指标,即准确率(accuracy,A)、精确率(precision,P)、灵敏度(sensitivity,Sen)、特异度(specificity,Spe),其具体计算公式如下。

式中:Tin为正确预测碰撞率增大的情形;Fin为错误地将碰撞率增大预测为减小的情形;Tde为正确预测碰撞率减小的情形;Fde为错误地将碰撞率减小预测为增大的情形。
此外,由于较低的精确率会导致过高的误报率(false alarm rate),因此选取精确率(precision, P)作为核心模型效果评估指标。另外,通常认为模型精确率大于或等于0.8被视为有效的分类预测。此外,将综合利用受试者工作特征曲线或感受性曲线(receiver operating characteristic curve,ROC)及其ROC曲线下的面积(area under curve,AUC)来展现上述模型的预测能力。
为了进行模型训练和验证,此处将上述样本数据集的70%作为训练集,30%作为测试集。表3中的8个变量作为模型的输入来预测不同间距设置条件下的碰撞率相对标准场景(2.5 m间距)是增大或减小。由于仿真得到的数据样本集在碰撞率增大或减小结果上存在显著不均衡性,因此分别使用过采样(over-sampling)和欠采样(under-sampling)技术来均衡样本分布。即使用“人工合成少数类过采样法(synthetic minority over-sampling technique,SMOTE)”来生成少数类的样本,或使用(repeated edited nearest neighbors,RENN)来移除多数类样本中一定数量的非一致性样本。此外,上述模型也直接在原始不均衡数据样本上进行了训练,以对比其与上述两种重采样方法对于模型预测效果的影响。最终用于模型训练的数据集有3个,即原始样本数据集、过采样数据集(SMOTE)和欠采样数据集(RENN)。同时,上述所有模型的测试验证均在原始的不均衡测试数据集上开展。此外,为了消除不同变量的量纲、数量级和离散程度对模型预测结果的影响,以上数据集中的变量数值均通过Z-score方法进行了数据标准化处理。
结合上述仿真数据和分析方法,可得到不同间距条件下地下互通立交分合流区碰撞率变化预测结果如表5所示。可以看出,基于过采样数据集训练的XGBoost模型对于原始非均衡测试集的预测效果最佳,预测精确率(P)达到0.883,且AUC达到0.877。这可能是因为多个弱分类器串行集成(boosting)不断地减小预测迭代过程中的损失函数有利于对独立的事故风险变化事件的区分和检测。另外,可以发现,经过重采样均衡化数据集以后,4种模型的预测精度均有不同程度的提升。且XGBoost模型在过采样(SMOTE)的协助下,预测性能提升最为显著。此外,依据精确率和AUC指标来看,除了XGBoost模型以外,MLP模型的预测能力优于SVM模型和RF模型,且MLP模型基于过采样数据集(精确率:0.831,AUC:0.823)和欠采样数据集(精确率:0.834,AUC:0.824)的预测效果更为稳定。虽然基于深度神经网络的MLP模型并没有表现出比XGBoost模型更好的预测能力,但其较高的预测精度和预测稳定性仍然可以很好地应用于事故风险识别,以及用于拓展开发基于深度学习模型的迁移学习方法以面向更加复杂的场景和更高维的数据来进行事故风险推断。此外,高精度的分类预测结果也表明,以2.5 km间距作为基准场景有利于准确识别不同地下互通立交间距设置方案的差异,也进一步证实了将地下互通立交间距选取在2.5 km左右是较为合理的方案。
过采样数据集和欠采样数据集的预测效果对比可以发现,在原始样本较少的情况下,过采样技术(SMOTE)相比于欠采样技术(RENN)总体可以更好地支持机器学习模型实现预测能力的提升。这可能是因为在小样本情况下,SMOTE可以高质量地生成与原始样本特征无偏或无显著差异的数据样本点,并有助于分类器更好地学习样本特征,即提升其识别事故风险变化的能力。
为研究城市地下互通立交的合理间距,统计分析了城市地面互通立交及地下道路出入口间距,并基于统计数据,设计了9组不同间距的仿真实验方案,通过VISSIM仿真手段,利用行程时间、延误、排队长度及交通冲突这4个指标,从交通运行效率的角度得到了地下互通立交的间距建议值。研究结果表明,随着地下互通立交间距的增加,行程时间、延误、排队长度及交通冲突率逐渐减小,且当地下互通立交间距为2.5 km时,以上指标显著减小;碰撞风险指标(TTC)随着间距的增加而增大,TTC越大,发生事故的可能性就越小。综合以上分析发现,间距的设置对地下互通立交的交通运行效率影响很大,间距越大,地下互通立交的交通运行效率越高,间距在2.5km及以上时,地下互通立交整体运行效率显著提高,且事故发生可能性越小。此外,进一步以2.5 km间距作为基准场景可以准确识别不同地下互通立交间距设置方案下的事故风险差异,也进一步证实了将地下互通立交间距选取在2.5 km左右的合理性。研究可为地下互通立交间距设置理论支撑,同时也可为城市地下互通立交工程实际提供具体案例和建设依据。未来将深入挖掘影响地下互通立交间距的影响因素,进一步分析各种情况下的合理间距。
