In view of the high cost of controlling all the nodes in the traffic network, a pinning control framework for urban traffic network analysis and control network in the case of limited resources were constructed by this paper, and a new pinning control algorithm for urban traffic network was proposed.By using the mutual coupling and containment relationship between nodes and controlling some key nodes in the road network, the expected behavior of the whole network was guaranteed, and the limitation that the system consumes too much computing and control resources were effectively solved.The control input was set as the variation of the duration of the green light, a new pinning controller was designed, and the conditions for effectively ensuring the stability of the urban road traffic network are proposed.Through the simulation analysis, the signal control method proposed can make the urban road traffic network achieve the desired state, and effectively improve the utilization of road resources in the case of limited infrastructure and control costs.

针对控制交通网络中所有节点存在成本较高的问题,在资源有限的情况下,构建城市交通网络分析与控制网络的牵制控制框架,提出了一种新的城市交通网络牵制控制算法。利用节点间的相互耦合和牵制关系,通过对路网中部分关键节点的控制,实现保障整个网络具有期望的行为,有效解决了系统所消耗计算、控制资源过多的局限性。将控制输入设置为绿灯时长的变化量,设计新的牵制控制器,并提出了有效保证城市道路交通网络稳定的条件。通过仿真分析,本文所提出的信号控制方法能够使得城市道路交通网络达到期望状态,并在基础设施和控制成本有限的情况下,有效提升道路资源利用率。

针对控制交通网络中所有节点存在成本较高的问题,在资源有限的情况下,构建城市交通网络分析与控制网络的牵制控制框架,提出了一种新的城市交通网络牵制控制算法。利用节点间的相互耦合和牵制关系,通过对路网中部分关键节点的控制,实现保障整个网络具有期望的行为,有效解决了系统所消耗计算、控制资源过多的局限性。将控制输入设置为绿灯时长的变化量,设计新的牵制控制器,并提出了有效保证城市道路交通网络稳定的条件。通过仿真分析,本文所提出的信号控制方法能够使得城市道路交通网络达到期望状态,并在基础设施和控制成本有限的情况下,有效提升道路资源利用率。

In view of the high cost of controlling all the nodes in the traffic network, a pinning control framework for urban traffic network analysis and control network in the case of limited resources were constructed by this paper, and a new pinning control algorithm for urban traffic network was proposed.By using the mutual coupling and containment relationship between nodes and controlling some key nodes in the road network, the expected behavior of the whole network was guaranteed, and the limitation that the system consumes too much computing and control resources were effectively solved.The control input was set as the variation of the duration of the green light, a new pinning controller was designed, and the conditions for effectively ensuring the stability of the urban road traffic network are proposed.Through the simulation analysis, the signal control method proposed can make the urban road traffic network achieve the desired state, and effectively improve the utilization of road resources in the case of limited infrastructure and control costs.

随着交通供需矛盾的加剧,交通拥挤问题已经成为困扰世界各大城市的问题之一[1]。在城市交通网络中,交叉口作为转向的枢纽,是由两条或多条道路的交叉耦合形成的,每个交叉口的交通流都受到其他交叉口的相互关联和影响,任何一个路口的交通拥堵都会导致相邻路口和区域的拥堵[2-3]。保证道路交通网络畅通的基本要素是良好高效的交通流秩序,通过交通信号控制方法来缓解城市交通拥塞是十分必要的[4]。因此,为了缓解交通拥堵状况,采取控制关键交叉口绿灯时长的措施具有十分重要的意义。
目前中国的相关研究主要通过构建网络模型,分析网络结构和交通流特性,提出了多种牵制控制策略,如基于节点重要性的控制策略、基于流量分布的控制策略等。同时利用人工智能大数据分析和物联网技术来优化交通信号控制,提高道路通行效率,实现车辆与基础设施之间的信息交互,提升交通安全性[3-5]。国外一些发达国家在城市交通网络管理方面已经积累了丰富的经验,他们通过实施先进的交通管理策略和政策来优化城市交通网络[6-8]
为了提高动态流量建模的准确性,文献[5]将CTM(cell transmission model)模型进行推广,构建了在弹性需求下同时考虑路径和出发时间选择的变分不等式分配模型,论证了先进先出(first-in-first-out, FIFO)规则是对经验的合理反映。为确保充分捕捉流量动态,文献[6]提出针对多目的地交通网络组合动态交通分配方法,采用CTM来传播流量,例如队列演变,链路溢出和冲击波传播。由于实际情况中存在超车等行为,且动态交通分配模型中的FIFO规则具有不确定性,文献[7]研究了在CTM中实现近似FIFO的新方法。同时为进一步寻找基于CTM的具有多个始发地和目的地系统的最佳动态交通分配近似最优解,文献[8]提出了一种求解最佳动态交通分配问题的方法,有效提高了计算效率。
为确定高速公路路段指定部分的自由流速度,拥塞波速和拥堵密度,文献[9]利用一种半自动方法校准CTM中的参数,将最小二乘数据拟合方法应用于环路检测器数据。同时针对原有的CTM模型在处理多元胞合并、分流、多元胞间交通流线交叉等情况时存在不足等问题,文献[10]中提出了新的交通流模拟方法,满足了元胞内车流的FIFO规则和元胞输送车流能力约束。通过分析元胞间流量流线的关系,指示出多种不同类型的元胞连接结构。文献[11]利用MATLAB平台设计了基于CTM的交通仿真工具,成功模拟了由事故引起的交通拥堵的传播和扩散,探讨了CTM在制定控制策略方面的应用,有效疏散由交通事故引起的交通拥堵。
城市交通网络的不断发展,网络规模逐渐扩大,使其具有明显的复杂网络特征。文献[12]基于复杂网络理论对城市交通系统中网络的拓扑结构进行了研究,表明城市交通网络具有明显的复杂网络特征。结合节点自身及邻居节点的传输能力及交通状态,文献[13]考虑了节点的真实和潜在拥塞,利用复杂网络理论和引力场理论提出了一种基于节点聚集能力的引力场动态路由算法,平衡了网络的流量负载。文献[14]利用了交叉口之间的合作设计了控制器,提出了一种基于强化学习的分布式控制方案,从交通预测应用中获得嵌入形式的相邻交叉口的信息来管理交通信。
综上利用复杂网络研究城市交通网络系统具有独特的优势。但随着路网规模的扩大,现如今城市道路交通控制方法普遍存在控制成本较高的问题。常规的控制策略对每一个路网节点的信号灯均加以控制,则系统所消耗计算、控制资源过多。针对在资源一定的情况下,为了更好地达成控制目标,提出了针对城市交通网络的牵制控制方案。通过对路网中关键节点施加控制,利用节点间的相互耦合和牵制从而使得整个网络具有期望的行为。将绿灯时长的变化量作为控制输入,基于所设计的牵制控制器提出了城市道路交通网络牵制控制的稳定性条件。实验测试证明所设计的方法能够使得城市道路交通网络达到期望状态,更加节省控制成本。
交通网络是现实中典型的复杂网络。为了分析和控制城市交通网络,必须合理构建城市交通网络。首先要将交通网络合理转化为相应的结构模型,在所建模型的基础上进行研究,分析交通网络系统的特征。城市道路体系主要边和节点组成。每一条路有多个交叉入口,道路之间通过交叉入口相互连接。对交通网络建模通常有两种方法,即原始法和对偶法。原始法又称为直观法,它将交通网络的交叉口表示为网络节点,将交通网络中的道路表示为边。原始法属于传统的网络建模方法,在应用过程中非常直观简单,能清晰地表示出系统中各组成部分之间的拓扑关系。对偶法的表示方法与原始法相反,将交通网络中的道路表示为网络的节点,而路网中的交叉口表示为边。
通过对比原始法和对偶法的建模方式可以看出,与对偶方法相比,原始法在表示网络拓扑结构的方面更加直观,建模过程更为简单,可以直接反映出整体交通网络的特性。然而对偶法是将道路作为节点,虽然其建模方式相对于原始法较为复杂,但能够反映城市内在的规律。相对于原始法,通过对偶法对交通网络建模更能反映出城市整体的状况。用对偶法对交通网络进行建模可以深入了解其潜在的规律特征,有助于城市道路网络关键节点的可靠性以及网络连通性的研究。因此,本文中选取对偶法对城市交通网络建模。
最能体现交通网络动态特性的因素是路段的车流量。通常情况下,除单行线外,每条路段拥有两个车流行驶方向,而这两个行驶方向之间彼此独立。拟将单向路段定义为复杂网络的节点,路段间如果有车流通行,则存在边。通过这种建模方式就可以将任意一个城市道路交通网络抽象为一个典型的离散复杂动态网络系统。图1所示为典型的城市交通路口示意图。
以路段i为例,车辆只可能从路段1、2、3(称为上游路段)进入路段i,因此路段i与路段1、2、3存在连边,定义路段i的上游路段集合为Ri={1,2,3};同时,路段i的车辆只能进入到路段4、5、6(称为下游路段,与i存在连边),定义路段i的下游路段集合为Di={4,5,6}。考虑路段间的转向比例和饱和流率等交通参数,基于CTM模型可将路段i的交通流模型描述为

式(1)中:qi(k)为k时刻路段i的车流量;qji(k)= j R iβji(k)sjgji为在时间区间[kT,(k+1)T]内由路段j进入路段i的车流量,qid(k)= d D iβid(k)sigid为在时间区间[kT,(k+1)T]内由路段i进入路段d的车流量。其中:k为离散时间变量,T为采样周期,βji(k)为路段j中转向路段i的车流量所占比例,可以通过视频车辆检测器实时监测得到,si为路段i的饱和流率,表征一条进口车道的极限通行能力,gji为由路段j驶向路段i的固定绿灯时长。
假设车辆以饱和流率通过相应交叉口,则路段j的饱和流率、路段j与路段i之间的转向比例、绿灯时间满足关系式

考虑不含孤立节点或孤立节点群的城市交通网络,即网络拓扑结构是连通的,对于含有N条内部路段的路网,将路段车流量q(k)作为状态变量,那么路网的状态方程可描述为

当城市地面交通网络抽象出的复杂网络无法通过自身的耦合关系来达到同步,则需要控制手段来解决。若对网络中所有节点都施加控制,则控制成本较高,不切实际。因此,本文中将牵制控制方法引入解决城市交通拥堵问题中,减少控制成本。
将路段i的上游路段驶向路段i的绿灯时间的变化量Δgji作为控制输入ui,城市交通网络中第i个路段节点的状态方程可描述为

本文中控制目标是通过所设计的牵制控制器,实现当k→∞时使得x1(k)=x2(k)=…=xN(k)=s(k),即城市交通网络中路段的车流量达到渐近同步。

综上,基于Lyapunov稳定性理论,由定理1的结论可得到,若满足Ξ<0则有ΔV(k)<0,即通过所设计的牵制控制器[式(11)]误差系统[式(10)]渐近稳定,城市交通网络[式(5)]可以达到渐近同步。
目前中国已有城市将物联网、大数据、人工智能等技术在城市交通网络牵制控制中进行应用,促进了交通管理更加智能化、精细化。其中广州市作为南部大城市,交通网络复杂,交通管理难度大。为了提高交通管理效率,广州市交委开发了交通智能控制平台,依托地铁站点、交叉路口等关键点位,快速获取了城市交通状况的监测数据,实现了交通信号的精细管控,优化了城市道路交通。
因此在本节中为验证控制器的有效性以及在不同交通状况下的适应性,将本文提出的城市交通网络的牵制控制方法在MATLAB环境中进行仿真。在不同仿真场景下,分析交通参数、牵制节点选择策略、牵制节点个数对城市交通网络状态同步效果的影响。
以含有20条路段的路网为例,仿真路网的拓扑结构如图2所示。选取采样周期T=50 s,路网中路段的初始状态x(0)=[22,8,25,26,28,29,30,32,18,35,37,38,40,41,43,44,46,47,49,50]T pcu
所建立的城市道路交通网络动态模型考虑了路段间的转向比例和饱和流率等交通参数,在模型中c的不同取值体现了不同交通参数的情况。比例参数c的物理含义是路段间转向的车流量所占路段原有车流量的比例,当c取值越大,意味着交通网络中路段节点间的耦合强度越高。因此,在牵制节点个数和选择策略相同的条件下,研究路段节点间耦合强度对交通网络状态同步情况的影响。选取牵制节点个数l=1,选择节点3作为牵制节点,且控制增益为k3=0.78,而其他路段采用固定绿灯时长。期望同步状态为s(k)=20。比例参数c=0.2时,仿真所得到路网各节点状态变化及各节点与同步状态的误差变化曲线分别如图3(a)图3(b)所示。比例参数c=0.32时,仿真所得到路网各节点状态变化及各节点与同步状态的误差变化曲线分别如图3(c)图3(d)所示。
图3可以看出,在比例参数c=0.2时,城市交通网络中各路段节点与期望状态的误差在68个采样周期左右收敛于0,即各路段节点同步于期望状态。在比例参数c=0.32时,城市交通网络中各路段节点与期望状态的误差在45个采样周期左右收敛于0,即各路段节点同步于期望状态。该仿真结果表明,城市交通网络中路段节点间耦合强度越大,各路段节点达到期望同步状态所需的时间越短,城市交通网络越容易达到同步。
在城市交通网络牵制控制方法中,期望同步状态的选择需要根据交通网络的实际运行情况的各个性能指标合理选择,因此考虑固定路网的拓扑结构、路段车流量初始状态和路段饱和流率路段间转向比例等交通参数时,改变期望同步状态验证本文提出的牵制控制方法在不同期望状态下的适用性。在这一组试验中,仿真参数的选择为:选取比例c=0.32,牵制节点个数l=1,选择节点3作为牵制节点,且控制增益为k3=0.78。期望同步状态s(k)=20的情况下,仿真所得路网各节点状态变化及各节点与同步状态的误差变化曲线分别如图4(a)图4(b)所示。期望同步状态s(k)=30时,仿真所得到路网各节点状态变化及各节点与同步状态的误差变化曲线分别如图4(c)图4(d)所示。
图4可以看出,在相同的网络拓扑结构和一定的路网交通参数下,本文所设计的牵制控制方法可以使路网状态以较快的速度收敛到不同的期望同步状态。从而进一步表明,在实际的交通路网中,随着交通需求量的变化,路网所期望的运行状况不同,本文设计的牵制控制器能够同步于不同期望状态,在不同交通需求中都表现出优良的性能。
(1)不同牵制节点选择策略下交通网络状态同步情况。为提高控制效果,本文所设计的牵制控制方法将LinkRank方法作为牵制节点选择策略,利用LinkRank方法对路网中路段进行排序,选取重要性高的节点作为牵制节点。
(2)特定牵制策略与随机牵制策略下交通网络状态同步情况。为验证本文所提出的牵制节点选择策略的有效性,在相同参数下与随机牵制策略在仿真环境中进行对比。在这组仿真实验中,牵制节点个数,期望同步状态s(k)=20。在上述参数下,根据第4章仿真结果,选择重要性最高的节点3作为牵制节点,且控制增益为k3=0.78,仿真所得到路网各节点状态变化及各节点与同步状态的误差变化曲线分别如图5(a)图5(b)所示。随机牵制策略选择节点16作为牵制节点且控制增益为k16=1.81,仿真所得到路网各节点状态变化及各节点误差变化曲线分别如图5(c)图5(d)所示。
图5所示的对比结果可以看出,在交通参数及牵制节点个数相同的情况下,相对于随机牵制策略,所提出的节点重要性评价方法识别的关键节点作为牵制节点时,路网中各路段节点与期望状态的误差收敛速度更快,即在更短的时间内使得各路段节点同步于期望状态。
(1)不同特定牵制策略下交通网络状态同步情况。为验证本文所提出的牵制节点选择策略的优越性,将LinkRank方法与度值法和介数中心性方法分别作为牵制节点选择策略,在相同参数下进行仿真。牵制节点个数l=2,期望同步状态s(k)=20。在上述交通参数下,LinkRank方法选择节点3和14作为牵制节点且控制增益为k3=0.78,k14=1.05,仿真所得到路网各节点状态变化及各节点误差变化曲线分别如图6(a)图6(b)所示。将度值法和介数中心性方法作为牵制节点选择策略,选择节点3,6作为牵制节点且控制增益为k3=0.78,k6=1.32,仿真所得到路网各节点状态变化及各节点误差变化曲线分别如图6(c)图6(d)所示。
仿真对比结果表明,对于城市交通网络,本文所提出的节点重要性评价方法能有效的识别出路网中的关键节点。相比于度值法和介数中心性方法,本文中采取的牵制节点选择策略更具有效性。
(2)不同牵制节点个数下交通网络状态同步情况。在城市交通网络牵制控制方法中,牵制节点的个数关系到控制成本的大小,同时还会影响控制效果。因此,牵制节点个数需要根据交通网络的拓扑结构和实际运行情况的各个性能指标合理选择。考虑固定交通路网的拓扑结构、路段车流量初始状态等交通参数,对本文提出的牵制控制方法在不同牵制节点个数下进行仿真研究。
在本组实验中,选取比例c=0.32,期望同步状态s(k)=20。分别选取牵制节点个数l=1,选择节点3作为受控节点且控制增益为k3=0.78。改变牵制节点个数l=2,选择节点3和节点4作为受控节点且控制增益为k3=0.73,k4=0.95。仿真结果如图7所示。
通过仿真结果可以看出,本文提出的牵制控制方法在不同牵制节点个数下使路网收敛到期望同步状态。在网络拓扑结构及交通参数一定的情况下,对于城市交通网络,网络中牵制节点个数越多,路网达到期望状态所需时间越短,城市交通网络越容易达到同步状态。但增加网络受控节点个数使得控制成本相应升高。因此,在实际的交通路网中,牵制节点个数的选择要结合控制效果和控制成本进行综合考虑。以本组仿真为例,牵制节点个数l=2时可以达到较好的控制效果。
目前国外较多成果比较关注网络结构对交通流的影响,注重分析驾驶员行为、交通政策等因素对交通网络稳定性的影响,但是针对控制交通网络中所有节点存在成本较高的问题并未重视。本文中则根据路网中路段的连接关系,将城市道路交通网络建模为一个典型的离散复杂动态网络,引入牵制控制策略,通过仅对部分关键路段节点进行控制,就能够有效地使城市道路交通网络达到预期状态。通过应用于不同仿真场景下的仿真实验,本文所设计的牵制控制方案在不同交通参数、不同的交通需求的情况下具有良好的性能。同时在基础设施和控制成本有限的情况下,有效提升了道路资源利用率,更好地缓解了由于交通需求不均衡造成的局部交通拥堵现象。
