As a pioneering children's science popularization journal in modern Chinese history, Children's World fostered a network of popular science contributors that drove science communication for children, demonstrating the deep interweaving of scientific knowledge, cultural ideals, and social forces. The network was anchored by its editors-in-chief, Zheng Zhenduo and Xu Yingchang, and supported by a diverse group of authors, all benefiting from the institutional backing of The Commercial Press and the Literary Research Association. This structure created a well-defined and closely interconnected community. United by the shared philosophies of "child-centered" education and "scientific national salvation," this network leveraged the intellectual circles of the Literary Research Association and integrated kinship, regional, and professional ties to achieve synergistic science communication.
