Aiming to explore the influence of different dosages of SBS modifier on the indicators of modified asphalt, through testing the three major indicators, elastic recovery and post-aging indicators of SBS modified asphalt with different dosages, as well as the viscosity and rutting factor of SBS modified asphalt with different dosages at different temperatures, the impact of SBS modifier dosage on the indicators of modified asphalt was analyzed to provide a theoretical basis for the optimized design and application of modified asphalt. The experimental results show that with the increase of SBS dosage, the three major indicators, elastic recovery and ductility of modified asphalt exhibit different changing patterns. The viscosity of modified asphalt first increases significantly and then increases slowly, and the viscosity of modified asphalt reaches the optimum under an appropriate dosage. The rutting factor increases with the increase of SBS modifier dosage, but when the SBS dosage reaches a certain proportion, the rutting factor only increases slightly. This indicates that the pavement performance of modified asphalt does not continuously improve with the increase of modifier dosage. When the modifier dosage increases to a certain extent, the performance of some indicators may reach a peak or decline.

为了探讨不同掺量的SBS改性剂对改性沥青指标的影响,通过对不同掺量的SBS改性沥青三大指标、弹性恢复、老化后指标的测试,以及不同掺量的SBS改性沥青在不同温度下黏度和车辙因子的测试,分析SBS改性剂掺量对改性沥青指标的影响,为改性沥青的优化设计和应用提供理论依据。实验结果表明,随着SBS掺量的增加,改性沥青三大指标、弹性恢复和延度呈现不一样的变化规律,改性沥青的黏度呈现出先大幅度增大后缓慢增加的趋势,且在适当掺量下,改性沥青的黏度达到最优;车辙因子随着SBS改性剂掺量的增加而增大,当SBS掺量达到一定比例时,车辙因子仅小范围增长。说明改性沥青路用性能并不是随着改性剂掺量的增加不断变强,当改性剂增加到一定幅度时,某些指标的性能可能会到达顶峰或者下降。

为了探讨不同掺量的SBS改性剂对改性沥青指标的影响,通过对不同掺量的SBS改性沥青三大指标、弹性恢复、老化后指标的测试,以及不同掺量的SBS改性沥青在不同温度下黏度和车辙因子的测试,分析SBS改性剂掺量对改性沥青指标的影响,为改性沥青的优化设计和应用提供理论依据。实验结果表明,随着SBS掺量的增加,改性沥青三大指标、弹性恢复和延度呈现不一样的变化规律,改性沥青的黏度呈现出先大幅度增大后缓慢增加的趋势,且在适当掺量下,改性沥青的黏度达到最优;车辙因子随着SBS改性剂掺量的增加而增大,当SBS掺量达到一定比例时,车辙因子仅小范围增长。说明改性沥青路用性能并不是随着改性剂掺量的增加不断变强,当改性剂增加到一定幅度时,某些指标的性能可能会到达顶峰或者下降。

Aiming to explore the influence of different dosages of SBS modifier on the indicators of modified asphalt, through testing the three major indicators, elastic recovery and post-aging indicators of SBS modified asphalt with different dosages, as well as the viscosity and rutting factor of SBS modified asphalt with different dosages at different temperatures, the impact of SBS modifier dosage on the indicators of modified asphalt was analyzed to provide a theoretical basis for the optimized design and application of modified asphalt. The experimental results show that with the increase of SBS dosage, the three major indicators, elastic recovery and ductility of modified asphalt exhibit different changing patterns. The viscosity of modified asphalt first increases significantly and then increases slowly, and the viscosity of modified asphalt reaches the optimum under an appropriate dosage. The rutting factor increases with the increase of SBS modifier dosage, but when the SBS dosage reaches a certain proportion, the rutting factor only increases slightly. This indicates that the pavement performance of modified asphalt does not continuously improve with the increase of modifier dosage. When the modifier dosage increases to a certain extent, the performance of some indicators may reach a peak or decline.

沥青作为道路建设的主要材料之一,其性能直接影响到路面的使用寿命和行车安全,但是,随着交通量的急剧增长及车辆轴载的不断增加,路面裂缝、坑槽[1]、车辙、沉陷、表面破损等病害频发,对路面材料性能提出更高的要求[2]。为了提高沥青的性能,改性沥青技术得到了广泛的应用。SBS(苯乙烯-丁二烯-苯乙烯)作为一种常用的沥青改性剂,它是一种弹性胶体,与沥青材料有着不同的物质特点。近几十年,人们对于SBS改性剂对改性沥青的影响做了大量的研究。曹嘉琦和王志祥[3]研究基质沥青和 SBS 聚合物的老化对 SBS 改性沥青老化的影响,表明SBS 聚合物改性剂的老化对改性沥青性能的影响远大于基质沥青的。陈坤[4]通过设计三种不同粉胶比的 SBS 改性沥青混合料,研究粉胶比对其老化性能的影响,发现粉胶比的增加和老化均能使沥青胶浆的复数模量和车辙因子增大,高温抗变形能力提高。磨巧梅等[5]采取温度扫描试验对比了SBS改性沥青流变性能随老化作用时间变化的规律。对比同样老化程度的基质沥青和改性沥青,流变参数相位角、损失模量及车辙因子的增减幅度均有所减小,表明 SBS改性剂的网络结构可以抑制沥青老化进程。李强等[6]通过研究偶联改性剂掺量对复合改性沥青的影响,得出了偶联改性剂的高分子结构与 SBS相互交错形成的空间网状结构提高了沥青的结构稳定性,复数剪切模量和车辙因子逐渐提升,沥青的抗剪切变形能力明显改善的结论。左小红等[7]通过采取不同老化条件后的常规性能及流变性能试验,发现了针入度、软化点试验结果表明,速熔型SBS能显著降低沥青的针入度,提高沥青的软化点,改性效果明显。李明珠等[8]利用高速剪切机制备SBR改性沥青、SEBS改性沥青及不同SBR掺量的SEBS/SBR复合改性沥青,发现软化点试验与动态剪切流变试验均表明,SEBS与SBR均可以改善沥青的高温稳定性;并且,在SEBS/SBR复合改性沥青中,随着SEBS掺量的增加,复合改性沥青高温性能逐渐提高,其最大软化点增大了23.4%。随着SBS改性剂的掺量变化,SBS改性剂可以提高基质沥青的低温性能[9],特别是沥青的胶体机头将会出现一定的胶凝化,从而对沥青的温度敏感性造成不同程度的影响,从而改善沥青的力学性能和路用性能。然而,SBS改性剂掺量对改性沥青指标的影响尚不完全明确,高含量SBS改性沥青的高低温性能较普通SBS改性沥青更优[10]。基于对添加不同掺量SBS改性剂的改性沥青三大指标、弹性恢复、老化后指标以及不同温度下黏度和车辙因子数据的分析,根据具体需求和条件选择合适的SBS改性剂掺量,以优化沥青的性能。
采用符合国家标准的壳牌基质沥青,改性沥青采用壳牌基质沥青加SBS改性剂掺量分别为4.0%、4.5%、5.0%、5.5%、6.0%制成的改性沥青标准样,壳牌基质沥青技术指标试验结果如表1所示。
SBS改性沥青标准样的制备是一个复杂而精细的过程,主要涉及基质沥青的选择、SBS改性剂的添加、剪切搅拌、发育等多个环节。试验采用壳牌基质沥青作为基质材料,SBS改性剂是苯乙烯-丁二烯-苯乙烯嵌段共聚物,具有良好的物理性能,能够显著改善沥青的性能。首先,将基质沥青加热至165 ℃,以确保其流动性良好,便于后续与SBS改性剂的混合。然后,在基质沥青温度达到要求后,将SBS改性剂按照确定好的掺量均匀加入到基质沥青中,采用高速剪切设备对混合物进行剪切搅拌,剪切过程中温度控制在165 ℃,剪切速率为1 200转/min,剪切时间为45 min。剪切搅拌完成后,将混合物转移至170 ℃烘箱中进行发育,以促进SBS改性剂与基质沥青的充分融合和反应,发育时间为1 h。最后,就可以对制备好的SBS改性沥青进行针入度、软化点、延度等关键指标的测试。
针入度是用来划分沥青标号的性能指标,同时也可以很好地用来评价沥青的感温性[11]。针入度从根本上说是一个经验指标,规范约定在某一特定温度下,标准针加重物共100 g自由下落5 s后灌入沥青试样的深度为该样品的针入度值,单位为0.1 mm。针入度越小,说明沥青的稠度和硬度越大;反之,则越小。软化点是评价沥青性能的基本指标之一,与沥青黏度和温度敏感性有很好的相关性,直接反映了沥青路面的软硬程度,甚至,近些年有些沥青以软化点作为区分沥青种类的一种方法。沥青软化点的高低直接反映了其高温稳定性和温度敏感性[12]。软化点过低的沥青在夏季高温时容易软化流淌,影响使用性能;软化点过高的沥青则在低温时容易脆裂,不利于施工和使用。沥青延度是沥青内聚力、沥青路面延展性能、抗裂性能衡量的一个关键性能指标,延度好的沥青铺装的沥青路面具有较好的抗裂性和耐久性。沥青弹性恢复是指当对沥青材料施加的外力去除后,其变形能够恢复原来形状的能力。这种恢复能力反映了沥青材料的弹性和韧性。沥青弹性恢复是沥青材料性能的重要指标之一,对于道路工程质量和使用寿命具有重要影响。
三大指标是评价沥青硬度、稠度,热稳定性以及塑性和延伸性的基本指标[13]。对不同掺量的SBS改性沥青分别进行三大指标、弹性恢复、老化后指标测试,试验结果如表2所示。
沥青黏度直接反映了沥青在施工过程中的流动性和可加工性[14]。在道路建设和维修工程中,沥青需要被均匀地铺设在路面上,形成平整、密实的沥青层。黏度过高的沥青难以流动和铺展,可能导致施工困难,甚至影响路面的平整度和密实度;而黏度过低的沥青则可能过于稀薄,无法形成稳定的沥青层,导致路面质量下降,适当控制沥青的黏度对于保证施工质量至关重要。沥青黏度与沥青的高温稳定性密切相关。在高温条件下,黏度较低的沥青容易发生流淌和变形,导致路面出现车辙、推移等病害。具有较高黏度的沥青则能够更好地抵抗高温下的变形,保持路面的稳定性和平整度,改善沥青的高温性能。沥青黏度也是评价沥青材料质量的一个重要指标。不同种类和来源的沥青具有不同的黏度特性,通过测量沥青的黏度,可以初步判断其适用性。同时,沥青黏度的变化还可以反映沥青的老化程度,为沥青的储存和使用提供指导。因此,沥青黏度作为描述沥青流动性能的关键参数,在道路工程中具有重要的意义。它直接影响沥青的施工性能、高温稳定性、与集料的黏附性能以及材料质量。在沥青材料的研发、生产和应用过程中,需要充分重视沥青黏度的测量和控制,以确保路面的质量和使用寿命。
采用旋转黏度计对不同掺量的SBS改性沥青进行黏度测试。测试温度分别为120、135、150、165、180 ℃,记录不同掺量下不同温度的黏度数据,试验结果如表3所示。
沥青车辙因子是评估沥青在高温下性能的重要指标之一。首先,车辙因子是反映沥青材料在高温条件下抵抗永久变形能力的大小。在高温环境下,沥青材料容易因受热而发生软化、流淌,进而产生车辙等病害。车辙因子数值越大,表明沥青材料抵抗变形能力越强,即沥青在高温下越稳定,路面在夏日高温下越不易变形。因此,通过测量沥青的车辙因子,可以初步评估沥青材料在高温条件下的稳定性和耐久性。其次,车辙因子与沥青的高温抗变形能力密切相关。沥青的高温抗变形能力直接关系到路面的使用寿命和行车安全。如果沥青的高温抗变形能力不足,路面在夏季高温天气下容易出现车辙、推移等病害,严重影响路面的平整度和行车舒适度。因此,提高沥青的车辙因子,即增强其高温抗变形能力,对于保证路面的长期使用性能和行车安全具有重要意义。此外,沥青车辙因子还是沥青材料选择和质量控制的重要依据。在道路工程中,不同种类的沥青材料具有不同的车辙因子和性能特点。通过测量不同沥青材料的车辙因子,可以比较它们的性能优劣,选择最适合工程需求的沥青材料。同时,车辙因子还可以用于评估沥青材料的质量稳定性,确保施工使用的沥青材料满足相关标准和要求。最后,沥青车辙因子的研究也有助于推动沥青材料技术的创新和进步。通过对沥青车辙因子的深入研究,可以探索提高沥青高温抗变形能力的新方法和新技术,为道路工程领域提供更多优质、高效的沥青材料选择。因此,沥青车辙因子作为评估沥青高温性能的重要指标,具有多方面的意义[15]。它不仅能够反映沥青材料在高温条件下的稳定性和耐久性,还是沥青材料选择和质量控制的重要依据,同时也为沥青材料技术的创新和进步提供了重要支撑。
采用马尔文高级动态剪切流变仪对不同掺量的SBS改性沥青原样及经过RTFOT短期老化后的残留物样品进行时间扫描,测得不同温度的车辙因子G*/sinδ结果如表4表5所示。
图1所示,改性沥青的针入度值总体上随着SBS改性剂掺量的增加而下降,说明SBS改性剂掺量越多,沥青的稠度和硬度越大,当掺量从5.0%增加至5.5%时,针入度值不再下降,反而出现了局部上升,在5.5%到6.0%的时候又出现的下降趋势。
图2所示,改性沥青软化点随着SBS改性剂掺量的增加而增大,但增长的幅度不一样。
图3所示,在改性剂掺量为4.0%~5.0%时,改性沥青的延度值随着SBS改性剂掺量的增加而下降;但在改性剂掺量从5.0%增加到5.5%时,延度值又出现了增长,在5.5%~6.0%的时候又出现的下降趋势;与针入度值的变化规律一致。
图4所示,改性沥青的弹性恢复值随着SBS改性剂掺量的增加而增大,在改性剂掺量为4.0%~5.0%时,弹性恢复值变化比较明显,在改性剂掺量为5.0%~5.5%时,变化曲线变得平缓,说明了改性剂的不断增大并不能一直提高改性沥青的弹性和韧性。
图5所示,改性沥青的储存稳定性随着SBS改性剂掺量的增加而不断变差,当改性剂掺量为5.5%时,储存稳定性为2.6,超出《公路沥青路面施工技术规范》(JTG F40—2004)中对改性沥青储存稳定性不大于2.5的要求。按《公路沥青路面施工技术规范》(JTG F40—2004)要求,当改性剂掺量为5.5%时,该改性沥青储存稳定性不合格。说明了改性沥青路用性能并不是随着改性剂掺量的增加不断变强,当改性剂增加到一定幅度时,某些指标的性能可能会到达顶峰或者下降[16]
根据不同掺量的SBS改性沥青不同温度下的黏度试验结果,得到不同掺量的SBS改性沥青黏温曲线如图6所示。由图6可知,黏度值随温度的升高而下降[17],在120~150 ℃温度段时黏度下降幅度明显,而150~180 ℃温度段时黏度下降缓慢,且无论哪一个掺量都是一致的黏度下降规律。
图7~图11可知,相同温度下黏度值随改性剂掺量的增加而不断增大[17],当改性剂掺量在4.0%~5.5%时,黏度曲线比较平缓,当改性剂掺量从5.5%增加到6.0%时,黏度曲线突然变陡,说明此时黏度增加幅度变大,且温度为120 ℃和135 ℃时变化更明显,150、165、180 ℃时次之。
图12所示,无论是76 ℃还是82 ℃,原样车辙因子都随着SBS改性剂掺量的增加而增大[18],而每个掺量之间车辙因子增大的幅度是不一样的。当温度为76 ℃时,掺量为4.5%~5.0%时车辙因子增加幅度最大,为23.4%;掺量为5.0%~5.5%时车辙因子增加幅度次之,为17.8%,掺量为5.5%~6.0%时车辙因子增加幅度最小,仅为11.1%。当温度为82 ℃时,掺量为4.5%~5.0%时车辙因子增加幅度最大,为30.8%;掺量为5.0%~5.5%时车辙因子增加幅度次之,为22.7%,掺量为5.5%~6.0%时车辙因子增加幅度最小,仅为6.2%。与温度为76 ℃时的车辙因子变化规律一致。
图13所示,RTFOT后车辙因子随着SBS改性剂掺量的增加而增大[19],而每个掺量之间车辙因子增大的幅度是不一样的。掺量为4.5%~5.0%时车辙因子增加幅度最大,为36.5%;掺量为5.5%~6.0%时车辙因子增加幅度最小,仅为1.3%。这与原样的不同掺量车辙因子变化规律是一致的。
综上可得,相同温度下黏度值随SBS改性剂掺量的增加而不断增大,当改性剂掺量从5.5%增加到6.0%时,黏度值急剧增大,而此时RTFOT后的车辙因子增加幅度却仅为1.3%。说明当改性剂掺量大于5.5%时,增大的只是黏度,路用性能等级却没有提高,结果施工的和易性和工程的经济性,不建议生产改性剂掺量大于5.5%的改性沥青。
(1)改性沥青物理性能与SBS掺量的关系:针入度和延度在SBS掺量增加初期呈下降趋势,但超过一定阈值(如5.0%~5.5%)后,针入度出现局部回升,随后再次下降。这表明SBS掺量对沥青物理性能的影响存在非线性关系,需精细控制掺量以优化性能。弹性恢复值随SBS掺量增加而增大,但增幅逐渐减缓,说明过量添加SBS并不能无限提升沥青的弹性和韧性。
(2)储存稳定性问题:SBS掺量超过5.5%时,改性沥青的储存稳定性显著下降,甚至不合格。在实际应用中需严格控制SBS的掺量,以保证沥青产品的长期稳定性。
(3)黏度与温度的关系:改性沥青的黏度随温度升高而降低,特别是在120~150 ℃降幅显著,而在更高温度区间(150~180 ℃)内降幅减缓。这一规律对于沥青加工和路面施工温度的选择具有重要指导意义。同一温度下,黏度随SBS掺量增加而增大,特别是在5.5%~6.0%增幅显著。再次强调了掺量控制在工程实践中的重要性。
(4)车辙因子与SBS掺量的关系:车辙因子(原样及RTFOT后)均随SBS掺量增加而增大,但增幅在不同掺量区间内有所差异。4.5%~5.0%增幅最大,表明此区间内SBS对沥青抗车辙性能的改善效果最为显著。
(5)工程应用建议:鉴于改性剂掺量超过5.5%后主要增加的是黏度,而对路用性能等级的提升有限,且可能影响施工和易性和工程经济性,因此不建议生产掺量大于5.5%的改性沥青。推荐的最佳SBS掺量范围为4.5%~5.5%,具体掺量应根据工程实际需求进行确定,以达到最佳的性能与成本平衡。
综上所述,SBS改性沥青的性能受改性剂掺量、温度等多种因素影响,需通过科学试验和工程实践确定最优掺量,以确保改性沥青在路面工程中的良好应用效果。
