The indicators included Perioperative indexes, visual analogue scale (VAS) for pain, as well as the incidences of complication, recurrence, and re-operation at 1-year follow-up. The results showed that the hospital stay, post-operative VAS at 1 d, 3 d and 7 d of the combined group were significantly shorter than those of the other two groups; 1-year follow-up showed that the incidences of chronic pain, foreign body sensation, total complication, and recurrence of the biological mesh group and the combined group were significantly lower than those of the polypropylene group.
