It is found in practice that extension of the service link from main industry to industrial chain can bring new competitive advantage to the manufacturing enterprise, therefore, service-oriented manufacturing comes into being. According to the evaluation theory of enterprise competitiveness, this paper takes 33 typical service manufacturing enterprises in A-share as samples for empirical analysis. The results show that the impact of service elements on enterprise competitiveness is very important in the current stage and that the key direction for future development of service-oriented manufacturing is to improve the comprehensive service capability of enterprise in terms of broadening types of service projects and cultivating systematic service capability.
