Based on the analysis of the state-of-art of the MBSE, the modeling method, the enabling effects, the challenges and the implementation methods of the MBSE are analyzed.     The creative design technology is urgently needed for realizing intelligent manufacturing on China. However, the Chinese manufacturing industry suffers from a weak creative capability.
