Since the development of the inductive heat treatment in the 1960s, many attempts were made to improve the effect of the heat treatment, to develop magnetic mediums with multimodality function and to optimize the temperature field distribution, for achieving numerous excellent results. This paper reviews the experimental studies and clinical applications of several magnetic materials, such as the ferromagnetic thermal seed, the magnetic liquid, the magnetic liposomes, the magnetic glass ceramic and the magnetic bone cement.
