The mechanism for the responsiveness is also discussed. Some weak spots in the related researches are analyzed, like the difficulty in production and the instability, and the possible future studies and the applications of biobased materials with reversible switchable wettability are pinpointed. It is expected that the stability of the properties should be paid more attentions in further studies, and the materials with smart wettability surfaces will have an important application in the
