This paper reviews the progress in the desulfurization technology of the light hydrocarbon and the solvent oil. The major forms of the sulfides in the light hydrocarbon and the solvent oil are discussed, together with the related control measures of the sulfide content. The commonly used desulfurization technology is reviewed.
